Electron doped Ca0.85Nd0.15MnO3 (CNMO) compound was synthesized by the solid state reaction process. Rietveld analysis of X-ray diffraction data confirms that the Electron doped CNMO compound crystallizes to orthorhombic perovskite structure. Here we have reported the order of magnetic phase transition and the nature of magnetic interaction of CNMO sample. The positive value of the Landau coefficient b(TC) signifies that the sample undergoes 2nd order phase transition. The calculated values of critical exponents β, γ and δ show large deviation from existing theoretical models such as 3D mean field, tri-critical mean field, 3D Ising and 3D Heisenberg models. This indicates that the CNMO compound exhibits non conventional magnetic interaction. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
