An effective hydrothermal technique was developed to prepare Ferrous tungstate/Multi-walled carbon nanotubes (FeWO4/MWCNT) composite for photocatalytic activity. The structural, optical, morphological and elemental composition of the prepared composites were carried out by X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), UV–vis Diffuse Reflectance Spectroscopy (UV- DRS), Photoluminescence Spectroscopy (PL), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), and Energy Dispersive X-Ray Spectroscopy (EDX) respectively. The photocatalytic degradation performance of the Methylene Blue (MB) and tetracycline (TC) decomposed in the presence of composite under white light illumination. The research paper presents an experimental investigation into the functioning of an absorption refrigerator, executed at the University of Technology and Applied Sciences-Al Musannah in Oman. The study focused on comparing the effects of two types of input energies, solar-thermal and solar-electrical, on the system's functionality. This was done in an effort to identify a more environmentally friendly alternative to traditional cooling systems, such as vapor compression refrigeration systems (VCRS), which contribute to environmental problems through greenhouse gas emissions. Using a data acquisition system, key parameters including temperatures at specific points, solar intensity, fluid flow rates, and electric power output were collected and analyzed. The effectiveness of the system, as measured by the coefficient of performance (COP) of the system, under diverse operating settings was assessed. The findings were subsequently interpreted and illustrated. One key discovery was that the system's COP was approximately 13% higher when powered by solar-electric energy than solar-thermal energy. Furthermore, using solar-electric energy resulted in a nearly 14% increase in the refrigeration effect compared to solar-thermal energy, indicating the potential of solar-powered vapor absorption refrigeration systems as an eco-friendly option. In the present investigation V2O5 thin films were prepared by spray pyrolysis by varying substrate to nozzle distance (SND) from 20 to 35 cm in steps of 5 cm. The structural studies by XRD results indicates that the crystallinity increases with increase in SND along (101), (201) orientation and for the film prepared at 30 cm gives a good crystallinity. The SEM image shows that the change in morphology, which strongly depends on the SND. Above 30 cm it slightly affects the surface morphology of the V2O5 thinfilm due to agglomeration. The presence of elemental constituents is confirmed from EDAX analysis. The band gap of the film prepared at 30 cm has a lowest value of 2.1 eV. The electrical studies like I-V, Hall Effect measurement and the conductivity is maximum for the film prepared at 30 cm. Technologically important solid solutions of Ba(ZrxTi1-x)O3 are synthesized using conventional solid state route. Relatively dense and single phase ceramics are confirmed using X-ray diffraction. Homogeneous and micron size grain growth is characterized using SEM. Impedance spectroscopy is used to study the electrical properties of ceramics. Broad and diffuse impedance loss peak is observed above 250 °C, which shifts towards higher frequency with increase in temperature. The distribution of relaxation frequency may be associated with the B-site cationic disorder due to the random distribution of (Zr4+ / Ti+4) having different ionic radii. Impedance relaxation obeys the Arrhenius relation with activation energy, Eτ is 0.31 eV and 0.48 eV for BZT compositions with x = 0.10 and 0.15 respectively.
