This study is a transformation of the method of a former work of the same authors for selecting the optimal fuzzy implication for inference making, into a generalized algorithm which provides with two equivalent mechanisms for the implication selection. An example involving both variations of the method is included to illustrate each process. The results obtained verify that both of the techniques produce the same outcome using the same data.
