In recent years, thin-film solar cells (TFSCs) such as the third generation based on earth-abundant elements have received more and more attention due to their high efficiency, low cost-effective, adjustable bandgap, non-toxicity, environmentally friendly, high absorption coefficient (>10
4 cm−1 ) and its p-type conductivity. In this study, the SCAPS-1D (Solar Cell capacitance Simulator one dimension) simulator was used to investigate the performance of four solar cells heterojunctions CuSbS2 /CdS, Sb2 S3 /CdS, CZGSe/CdS, and CZTSSe/CdS. We have studied the effect of the thickness and the hole concentration of the absorber layer on the device performance. Furthermore, J-V characteristics and quantum efficiency are also studied to compare the performance of CZTSSe, Sb2 S3 , CuSbS2 and CZGSe solar cells. We found that the device with Sb2 S3 is the best with the higher efficiency of 27,15%. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]- Published
