In Malaysia, sustainable development is getting momentum within organizations, businesses, and even communities. In Higher Education, we can observe that green initiatives have been taken on campus, although community awareness is still at an average level. As a result, the emphasis of this study was on UTMSPACE community's green environmental awareness, which included their study location at the UTM Kuala Lumpur campus. The introduction to this study and the concerns that arise will be the first section of this paper's structure. The literature review on green awareness, initiatives, and motivation will be covered in the second half of this study. A preliminary investigation was conducted among Diploma students in SPACE UTM Kuala Lumpur. The goal of the first inquiry is to determine the green awareness among the students. According to the poll, 132 students took part in the short online survey. We quizzed them on their thoughts of green awareness implementation, and the results of the analysis were presented in a descriptive manner. We suggest student involvement activity based on preliminary research to improve environmental awareness among the UTMSPACE community by engaging in green environment initiatives. However, because to the Covid-19 pandemic, a variety of green environmental actions can be undertaken or implemented. As a result, in the methodology section of this study, we propose a mobile application design to ensure that green awareness activities are practicable and at a constant pace, in order to ensure social distancing and activities can be done by individuals. As a result, in order to achieve this goal, we created a mobile application to raise green awareness among the campus community, which we will demonstrate at the end of this paper. The content of the mobile apps will be structured using aspects from the UI World Universities Ranking Based on Green Metric and UTM Sustainable Campus's sustainability project area. Culture and heritage are two significant components that need to be understood and appreciated by key stakeholders such as local authorities, residents, users, etc., within rural and urban development. Having reliable and holistic data on a particular culture and heritage, including taking the local wisdom of a community into account, could help in understanding the community and developing a meaningful place for the present and future generations. Whereas local communities arrange, practise, comprehend, and apply a system of values and norms based on their knowledge of and experience with interacting with the environment is referred as local wisdom. It is very instrumental in interior design and can also be integrated into designing a space. To preserve tangible and intangible cultural assets, cultural mapping is used to understand a place and is also a fundamental issue in any redevelopment projects. This paper takes Zhongshan Building to study the local social-cultural identity elements of The Zhongshan Building, which are reflected in the interior environmental design. In this paper, the author focused on examining the application of local wisdom in interior design that is connected to the design development. To carry out the goal of this paper, the two-method methodology was conducted; (a) desk research, and (b) a SWOT Analysis. On the other hand, a pilot survey of the respondents is also required to complete this study, and the result shows that the respondents do acknowledge The Zhongshan Building as a creative hub. Through the discussion of this paper, The Zhongshan Building plays a vital role in portraying the creative culture as a creative hub in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. The strength of the interior environment and the significance of local wisdom on site can re-defined the meaning of the building and show the identity of The Zhongshan Building. For future reference, this paper suggests that any research instruments for future data collection in heritage buildings should be considered significant without ignoring the elements of the local wisdom of a community. The internet nowadays fitted with an LTE network that allows channels to transmit high-speed data, making it easier to browse the internet. The issue with every service provider's mobile network is that they cannot provide perfect connectivity at all times especially in an indoor environment. Therefore, this paper presents the performance measurement result of LTE cellular networks in an indoor environment of commercial areas and residential areas. Areas covered in these projects are within the Kuala Lumpur vicinity, such as Bangsar and Bukit Jalil. This study aims to measure and analyze LTE cellular network's signal quality between multiple telecommunication service providers available in Malaysia. The measurement is performed by conducting a walk test using the G-NetTrack Pro application installed on a smartphone. The building's floorplans are inserted into the G-NetTrack Pro application, and walk test measurement is done on a selected floor. The measurement results present that Digi Telecommunication service provider shows the best signal quality for both areas with 83% at residential area and 66% at commercial area. Malaysia has high density of shopping centers in the city. One famous spot for shopping is located at Petaling Jaya. It has few famous malls within a 10-km radius in the neighbourhood. Generally, about 10 to 30 percent of the visitors drive their own vehicles to the malls. This culture leads mall operators to the situation where car park become an indispensable facility for their malls and the traffic management inside car park an important issue to be discussed with. The bad attitude of Malaysian drivers can be seen by the increase of 22% of compound issued by city council in Kuala Lumpur. The inability to find and contact vehicle's owner in case of emergency incident would negatively impact the safety of visitors and cause traffic congestion in a car park. In order to solve this issue and assist car park management, a system to provide parked vehicles' information to authorized personnel is proposed. In this proposed system, a license plate recognition application has been developed for users to retrieve vehicles' information or register new vehicles by scanning at the vehicles' plate. The application uses MobileNet Single Shot Detector (SSD) algorithm to read license plate and query for vehicles' information from Firebase using the unique combination of plate number. In this paper, MobileNet SDD is compared with other light object detection algorithms such as You Only Look Once (YOLO) and other variants of SSD for their strengths and weaknesses. The vehicles identification methods used in car park are compared to show the trend of increasing use of License Plate Recognition (LPR) systems in shopping centres. The project is an attempt to take advantage of the LPR technology trend through proposing an extension to such a system on mobile device. Index tracking is a popular form of passive fund management in stock market. Passive management is a buy-and-hold strategy that aims to achieve rate of return similar to the market return. Index tracking problem is a problem of reproducing the performance of a stock market index, without purchasing all of the stocks that make up the index. This can be done by establishing an optimal portfolio that minimizes risk or tracking error. An improved index tracking (enhanced index tracking) is a dual-objective optimization problem, a trade-off between maximizing the mean return and minimizing the tracking error. Enhanced index tracking aims to generate excess return over the return achieved by the index. The objective of this study is to compare the portfolio compositions and performances by using two different approaches in enhanced index tracking problem, which are goal programming and cointegration. The result of this study shows that the optimal portfolios for both approaches are able to outperform the Malaysia market index which is Kuala Lumpur Composite Index. Both approaches give different optimal portfolio compositions. Besides, the cointegration approach outperforms the goal programming approach because the cointegration approach gives higher mean return and lower risk or tracking error. The radiation dose received by man from indoor radon and its progeny is the largest at more than 50% of total dose received. The seasonal variation of indoor radon concentration in Kerala, India and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia were studied. The Southwest coast of the Kerala state in India is known to have very high levels of natural background radiation owing to the rare earths rich monazite sand available in large amount. Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia used to be a famous tin mining area where it was done using open cast system. One-year measurements of radon concentration in houses were done for these two regions. It was found that there is considerable seasonal variation in the levels of radon in Kerala but the variation in Kuala Lumpur is only less than 10%. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
