The opening of the sale side of electricity market is an important goal of the new round of power system reform in China, and it is necessary to speed up the establishment and development of the electricity selling companies to achieve this goal. First of all, this paper defines the key problems, which are needed to be solved in the establishment of the sale side market, such as demand side response, optimization of users' power consumption mode, profit mode of electricity selling companies and fair competition in the market. On this basis, this paper analyzes the business of electricity selling company, from the aspects of the transition of business ideas, improving the energy efficiency level, providing integrated energy solutions and innovating business management mode; and then, the service strategies of electricity selling companies are put forward. Nowadays, China’s energy demand sustained rapid growth, and the coal-based energy structure has adverse effects on the environment. The flexibility of demand side resource (DSR) will be greatly improved, and DSR can reduce electricity consumption actively and temporarily, and realize energy saving and emission reduction. But there are still some problems to introduce DSR in China. The central heating is a major way of warming in northeast China in winter, however, the traditional heating method is inefficient, intensifying the energy consumption. How to improve the heating efficiency and reduce energy waste attracts more and more attentions in our country. In this paper, the mathematical model of heat transfer station temperature control system was established based on the structure of central heating system. The feedforward-feedback control strategy was used to overcome temperature fluctuations caused by the pressurized heating exchange system. The genetic algorithm was used to optimize the parameters of PID controller and simulation results demonstrated that central heating temperature achieved well control effect and meet stabilization requirements. The energy structure is accelerating to evolve toward low carbon and the level of cleanliness of energy supply and consumption has increased significantly. Energy efficiency continues to increase. As is known to all that energy transformation is a social system engineering, whose fundamental task is to build a clean, low-carbon new energy system. The fundamental way is re-electrification. As a new concept, re-electrification has not yet obtained a lot of research results, and has not received extensive attention from foreign scholars. China has great potential to develop Building Energy Efficiency Clean Development Mechanism (BEE CDM) projects, although have many challenges. Our results show that large-scale public buildings and urban residential buildings have relatively high BEE CDM potential, when comparing their characteristics to the CDM project requirements. The building enclosure, illumination energy conservation, air condition energy saving, solar thermal, and solar photovoltaic technology have relatively high application potential while considering the energy saving potential and marginal emission reduction cost. Case study of large-scale buildings shows that technology integration of building enclosure, illumination energy conservation, air condition energy saving, solar thermal can reduce required building number to 130 in order to meet the 1×105 tCO2 e/a reduction criteria. Based on theory of convergence, firstly, per-capita GDP difference convergence model of underdeveloped regions and developing regions compared with developed regions are established, then, convergence model of energy consumption intensity difference compared with per-capita GDP difference is built, from which, it is found that China's regional per-capita GDP growth shows convergence trend, and convergence rate of energy consumption intensity is slightly slower than the per-capita GDP. So, it is suggested that the local government should fully consider the convergence characteristics of regional energy consumption difference to guarantee not only economic growth but also energy saving and emission reduction in order to ensure sustained economic growth in the implementation of energy-saving emission reduction strategies. Highway passenger stations are fundamental transportation infrastructure, contributing significant amount of energy consumption in the transportation sector. Based on the climatic divisions in China, investigation on energy consumption of highway passenger stations were conducted and the calculation method for energy consumption indicators was defined. According to the data collected from different climatic divisions, the threshold of unit energy consumption indicator was specified. The factors influencing the energy consumption were analyzed to select the indicators, so as to determine the method for evaluating the energy efficiency standard. A case study was conducted on the severe cold divisions, to examine the feasibility of the method. In recent decades, China's renewable power generation has developed quickly. However, the randomness of output power causes wind and photovoltaic power curtailment. With the rapid development of renewable energy, renewable energy consumption has gradually become the focus of research. This article comprehensively reviews the current situation and practices of reducing the curtailment of renewable energy in China. From the perspective of methods used to stabilize the fluctuation characteristics of generation output, two modes are outlined: based on energy storage devices and complementary wind-solar system. Then, an Advanced Adiabatic Compressed Air Energy Storage (AA-CAES) system simulation model is proposed as a crucial solution to reduce renewable energy waste. Bioenergy from crop residues is one of important components of clean energy to adapt climate change. However, it is still uncertain how bioenergy potential from crop residues changes, as well as what deficits exist when offsetting fossil energy consumption. Taking the Yangtze River Delta (YRD) in China as an instance, bioenergy potential of crop residue was estimated for the period 2001-2010. The deficits between bioenergy from crop residue and fossil energy consumption were assessed to examine their differences. We found that a large amount of cropland, approximately 15% of the total cropland in 2000, was encroached for other uses in this period. The cropland loss reduced the bioenergy of crop residues, at a rate of 4.05 x 1011kJ · year-1, approximately 1.62% of annual average bioenergy from crop residues. In this study, LCA (life cycle assessment) is used as a tool for the assessment of energy consumption and associated impacts generated from utilization of energy in various power generation systems in China. The details follow the methodology outlined in ISO14040. The scope of this research includes energy production, energy transportation, and energy utilization. The function unit of life cycle inventory is 1 kJ electricity power. Most of the inventory data have been collected from Yearbook of China. Compared to fuel-fired power generation system, hydropower and nuclear power are more environment-friendly according to life cycle inventory analysis results, so increasing the proportion of hydropower and nuclear power in the power industry has a significant improvement effect on the development of China's power industry.
