The Netherlands continues to see an increase in female physicists. Gender is still an important topic, but diversity is now considered to extend beyond gender alone. Increasingly, efforts to broaden diversity also target inclusiveness of less represented groups such as first-generation students and people of color. Among first-year bachelor students, the percentage of female students at some universities is approaching 30%. In this paper we present some of the initiatives to improve the diversity in the Dutch physics community, such as the NNV Diversity Prize for physics departments, a diversity brochure, guest lectures at secondary schools, and the Minerva Prize for young female or nonbinary physicists.
