In this paper, we propose two hybrid subgradient extragradient methods for solving common solutions of variational inequalities problems (CSVIP). The first is a parallel algorithm which can be performed simultaneously while the second is a cyclic algorithm which is computed sequentially on each subproblem in the family. The novelty of this paper is that we have designed the algorithms to develop possible practical numerical methods when the number of subproblems is large. The algorithms can be considered as improvements of some previously known results for CSVIPs. Numerical experiments are also performed to illustrate the efficiency of the proposed algorithms.

In this paper, we consider a finite difference fully discretization for the $$ 1-D $$ wave equation with a boundary feedback and we analyze the exponential decay of the energy of solutions. First, we prove that a uniform boundary observability has a positive answer for a conservative system when the mesh size tends to zero using Fourier series technique. Then, we prove that the decay rate of the energy is uniform with respect to the mesh size. Finally, we describe some numerical experiments developed in Matlab to illustrate the results proved in this paper.

In this paper, we introduce some classes of non-commutative residuated lattices, give theirs characterization by filters and study the relations among them. This work generalizes some results relative to BL-algebras (Turunen and Sessa, Mult Valued Logic 6:1–21, 2001; Motamed and Borumand, Neural Comp Appl 20:461–475, 2011), MTL-algebra (Haveshki, Fuzzy Sets Syst, 247:135–137, 2014), pseudo-BL-algebras (Georgescu and Leustean, J Aust Math Soc, 73:127–153, 2002) or residuated lattices (Busneag and Piciu, Soft Comput, 16:1639–1655, 2012; Kadji et al. Int J Math Math Sci, 28940:12 2014, Ma and Hu, Fuzzy Sets Syst, 247:92–107 2014). At the end of this paper, we draw diagrams summarizing the relationships between different types of filters and classes of pseudo-residuated lattices.

The goal of this paper is to introduce and give some constructions and study properties of Hom-left-symmetric color dialgebras and Hom-tridendriform color algebras. Next, we study their connection with Hom-associative color algebra, Hom-post-Lie color algebra and Hom-Poisson color dialgebras. The hazard rate function plays a crucial role to extract some informations of several random life phenomena. In this paper, we investigate important properties satisfied by the hazard rate function for a general power series class of distributions, as monotonicity properties, sharp bounds and convexity properties. In particular, we highlight how these properties are related to those of the baseline distribution and the corresponding probability-generating function of discrete power series distributions.

In this paper we study the decomposition structure of a direct image of a polynomial ring under certain map.

In the present paper, we determine necessary and sufficient conditions for zF(a, b; c; z) and $$z(2-F(a,b;c;z))$$ where $$F(a,b;c;z)=\sum \nolimits _{n=0}^{\infty }[(a)_{n}(b)_{n}/(c)_{n}(1)_{n}]z^{n}$$ to be in a certain class of analytic functions with negative coefficients. Furthermore, we consider an integral operator related to hypergeometric functions.

In this paper, we define some new number sequences, which we represent as $$ (B_{n}),(b_{n}),(y_{n})$$ and present relations of these new sequences with each other. Then, we give all positive integer solutions of some Diophantine equations in terms of these new sequences.

In this paper, we introduce Halpern-type proximal point algorithm for approximating a common solution of monotone inclusion problem and fixed point problem. We obtain a strong convergence of the proposed algorithm to a common solution of finite family of monotone inclusion problem and fixed point problem for nonexpansive mappings in complete CAT(0) spaces. Nontrivial application and numerical example were given. Our results complement and extend some recent results in literature.

In this paper, we are mainly interested to find the sufficient conditions on parameters A, B, b and c that will ensure the generalized Struve function $$ u_{v,b,c}$$ satisfies the subordination $$u_{v,b,c}\left( z\right) \prec \left( 1+Az\right) /\left( 1+Bz\right) $$ .

In this paper, we introduce and investigate the subclasses $$\mathcal {Q} _{g}^{\zeta }(m,\lambda ,\mu ;\gamma )$$ and $$\mathcal {H}_{g}^{\zeta }(m,\lambda ,\mu ,r;u)$$ of analytic functions of complex order defined by a new differential operator involving binomial series. Furthermore, We obtain coefficients bounds and coefficient estimates involving of the nonhomogeneous Cauchy–Euler differential equation of order r. Several corollaries of the main results are also considered.

In this paper we study the existence, stability and smoothness of bounded solutions for an impulsive semilinear system of parabolic equations with homogeneous Dirichlet boundary condition. Using Banch fixed point theorem, we prove the existence of bounded solutions assuming that the nonlinear terms satisfy a Lipschitz condition, after that, we study the stability and the smoothness of such solutions.

In this paper, some fundamental relationships of a $$\Gamma $$ -semihypergroup and its operator semihypergroup in terms of fuzzy subsets, fuzzy hyperideals and fuzzy hyperideal extension are obtained. Using these in obtaining some characterization theorems of $$\Gamma $$ -semihypergroups in terms of fuzzy subsets, we highlight the effectiveness of operator semihypergroups in the study of $$\Gamma $$ -semihypergroups in terms of fuzzy subsets.

This paper summarizes the contents of a plenary talk at the Pan African Congress of Mathematics held in Rabat in July 2017. We provide a survey of recent results on spectral properties of Schrodinger operators with singular interactions supported by manifolds of codimension one and of Robin billiards with the focus on the geometrically induced discrete spectrum and its asymptotic expansions in term of the model parameters.

In this paper, we study the stability of some essential B-spectra of closed linear operators on a Banach space X, under polynomially finite rank operators and we give the characterization of some essential B-spectra of a $$2\times 2$$ of unbounded matrix operator acting in the product of Banach spaces $$X\times Y$$ . Then, using the functional calculus, we prove that a spectral mapping type theorem holds for these essential B-spectra. As an application, we study the effect of the functional calculus on the class of meromorphic operators, and on the class of isoloid operators with sable sign index, satisfying generalized Weyl theorem.

This paper is devoted to introduce the notions of n-fold left-(right-)Heyting, n-fold left-(right-)Boolean and n-fold left-(right-)MV filters in residuated lattices and to investigate their properties. Several characterizations of these notions are derived. The relations between n-fold left-(right-)Boolean filters and n-fold left-(right-)Heyting filters are investigated and we prove that an n-fold left-(right-)Boolean filter is an n-fold left-(right-)Heyting filter, respectively, and this implication is strict. Also, the relations between n-fold left-(right-)Boolean filters and n-fold left-(right-)MV filters are investigated and we show that a normal n-fold left-(right-)Boolean filter is a normal n-fold left-(right-)MV filter and each n-fold left-(right-)Heyting and n-fold left-(right-)MV filter is an n-fold left-(right-)Boolean filter.

This paper studies relationship between bipolar fuzzy sets, rough sets and $$\Gamma $$ -semihypergroups. We study the notion of rough bipolar fuzzy $$\Gamma $$ -hyperideals in $$\Gamma $$ -semihypergroups. Then we prove that the lower and upper approximation of a bipolar fuzzy $$\Gamma $$ -hyperideal is a bipolar fuzzy $$\Gamma $$ -hyperideal.

In this paper, by making use of the principle of subordination, we investigate some subordination and convolution properties of certain subclasses of $$\ p$$ -valent analytic functions which are defined by the Srivastava–Saigo–Owa fractional differintegral operator.

In this paper, we obtain the estimates with k-th root transformation for certain classes of analytic univalent functions using quasi-subordination. Some interesting remarks of the results presented here are also discussed.

The purpose of this paper is to introduce subclasses of multivalent functions by using Srivastava–Saigo–Owa fractional differintegral operator and investigate various properties for these subclasses. Also, we investigate inclusion relations involving the operator $$F_{p,c}$$ .

In this paper, we consider the Laplacian energy of digraphs. Various approaches for the Laplacian energy of a digraph have been put forward by different authors. We consider the skew Laplacian energy of a digraph as given in Cai et al. (Trans Combin 2:27–37, 2013). We obtain some upper and lower bounds for the skew Laplacian energy which are better than some previous known bounds. We also show every even positive integer is the skew Laplacian energy of some digraphs.

The nitty-gritty of this paper is to estimate the mean of the number of persons possessing a rare sensitive attribute by utilizing the Poisson distribution in stratified survey sampling. It is also shown that the proposed models are more efficient than Lee et al.’s (Statistics 47:575–589, 2013) models in both the cases when the proportion of persons possessing a rare unrelated attribute is known and that when it is unknown. Properties of the proposed randomized response models have been studied alongwith recommendations. Numerical illustrations are also given in support of the present study.

In this paper, using t-norm T, the notion of (imaginable) T-fuzzy KU-ideals of KU-algebras are introduced and investigated their related results. Images and preimages of KU-ideals under homomorphism are investigated. Using level subsets of KU-algebras, some characterization theorems are given. The Cartesian product and T-product of T-fuzzy KU-ideals of KU-algebras are discussed.

In this paper, we introduce the notion of a central B-automorphism of a finite B-algebra. Also some properties of a finite B-algebra and B-automorphism algebra are investigated.

This paper deals the notion of interval valued instuitionistic fuzzy subalgebras of $$\beta $$ -algebra and investigate some of the related results.

In this paper we consider a class of impulsive neutral stochastic functional differential equations with variable delays driven simultaneously by a fractional Brownian motion and a Poisson point processes in a Hilbert space. We prove an existence and uniqueness result and we establish some conditions ensuring the exponential decay to zero in mean square for the mild solution by means of the Banach fixed point theory. Finally, an illustrative example is given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the obtained result.

In the present paper, we study modified Szasz–Durrmeyer positive linear operators involving Charlier polynomials, one of the discrete orthogonal polynomials which are generalization of Szasz Durrmeyer operators. Also, King type modification of these operators is given. We obtain uniform convergence of our operators with the help of Korovkin theorem, asymptotic formula and the order of approximation by using classical modulus of continuity.

In this paper, we obtain initial coefficient bounds for functions belong to a subclass of analytic bi-univalent functions related to pseudo-starlike functions by using the Chebyshev polynomials and also we find Fekete-Szego inequalities for this class.

A dominating set D of a connected graph $$G = (V, E)$$ is said to be bi-connected dominating set if the induced subgraphs of both $$\langle D \rangle $$ and $$\langle V-D \rangle $$ are connected. The bi-connected domination number $$\gamma _{bc}(G)$$ is the minimum cardinality of a bi-connected dominating set. A $$\gamma _{bc}$$ -set is a minimum bi-connected dominating set of G. In this paper, we obtain the Partially Balanced Incomplete Block (PBIB)-designs with m = 1, 2, 3, 4 and $$\lfloor \frac{p}{2}\rfloor $$ association schemes arising from $$\gamma _{bc}$$ -sets of some special classes of graphs.

In the present paper the Euler transform of the V-function is obtained. The main result provides useful extension and unification of a number of (known or new) results for various special cases of the V-function. For the sake of illustration, some special cases of the main result are mentioned.

The purpose of the present paper is to establish connections between various subclasses of analytic univalent functions by applying certain convolution operator involving Poisson distribution series. To be more precise,we investigate such connections with the classes of analytic univalent functions of $$\beta $$ -starlike and $$\beta $$ -uniformly convex functions of order $$\alpha $$ in the open unit disk $${\mathbb {U}}$$ . Further we point out some consequences of our main results.

In this paper we consider an M/G/1 queueing model with single working vacation and vacation interruption. By studying the spectral properties of the corresponding operator we obtain that the time-dependent solution of the model strongly converges to its steady-state solution.

In this paper, using a generalized translation operator, we obtain an analog of Younis’s Theorem 5.2 in Younis (Int J Math Math Sci 9:301–312, 1986) for the generalized Fourier-Bessel transform for functions satisfying the Fourier-Bessel Dini Lipschitz condition in the space $$L_{\alpha ,n}^{2}$$ .

This paper is dealing with two split extensions of the form $$2^{8}{:}A_{9}.$$ We refer to these two groups by $$\overline{G}_{1}$$ and $$\overline{G}_{2}.$$ For $$\overline{G}_{1},$$ the 8-dimensional GF(2)-module is in fact the deleted permutation module for $$A_{9}.$$ We firstly determine the conjugacy classes of $$\overline{G}_{1}$$ and $$\overline{G}_{2}$$ using the coset analysis technique. The structures of inertia factor groups were determined for the two extensions. The inertia factor groups of $$\overline{G}_{1}$$ are $$A_{9},\,A_{8},\, S_{7},\,(A_{6} \times 3){:}2 $$ and $$(A_{5} \times A_{4}){:}2,$$ while the inertia factor groups of $$\overline{G}_{2}$$ are $$A_{9},\, PSL(2,8){:}3$$ and $$2^{3}{:}GL(3,2).$$ We then determine the Fischer matrices for these two groups and apply the Clifford–Fischer theory to compute the ordinary character tables of $$\overline{G}_{1}$$ and $$\overline{G}_{2}.$$ The Fischer matrices of $$\overline{G}_{1}$$ and $$\overline{G}_{2}$$ are all integer valued, with sizes ranging from 1 to 9 and from 1 to 4 respectively. The full character tables of $$\overline{G}_{1}$$ and $$\overline{G}_{2}$$ are $$84 \times 84$$ and $$40 \times 40$$ complex valued matrices respectively.

In this paper, we introduce the concepts of n-fold integral ideals and n-fold Boolean ideals in BL-algebras. With respect to concepts, we give some related results. In particular, we prove that an ideal is an n-fold integral ideal if and only if is an n-fold Boolean and (prime)maximal ideal. Also, we prove that a BL-algebra is an n-fold integral BL-algebra if and only if trivial ideal $$\{0\}$$ is an n-fold integral ideal. Moreover, we study relation between n-fold integral ideals and n-fold obstinate filters in BL-algebras by using the set of complement elements. Also, we describe relationship between n-fold Boolean ideals and n-fold positive implicative filters in BL-algebras.

The aim of this paper to establish the existence and uniqueness of coincidence and common fixed points of Nadler type set-valued mappings under various generalized contractive conditions in the context of ultrametric spaces. Illustrative examples are provided to support our results. As an application, we have obtained well-posedness of the common fixed point problems. The presented results generalize several existing results in the literature in ultrametric space setting.

In this paper, we give a characterization of the rough semiring \((T,\Delta ,\nabla )\). The order of a rough semiring is also derived. We present the idea of rough homomorphism on the set of all rough sets for the given information system together with the operations Praba \(\Delta \) and Praba \(\nabla \). We illustrate these concepts through examples.

To the best of our knowledge, till date there are only two directions along which fuzzy topology (general topology) can be compared, one is the generalization of fuzzy topology (such as fuzzy supra topology, generalized fuzzy topology etc.) and the other is the stronger form of fuzzy topology which is known as Alexandroff fuzzy topology. It means that a given topology is always linear. This paper aims to propose the third direction that is a new parallel form of fuzzy topology (or a non-linear topology) called fuzzy independent topology which is neither a generalization nor a stronger form of the given fuzzy topology though it is a unique natural offshoot of the given fuzzy topology but very rare in existence and that has been shown by defining fuzzy $$\gamma ^{*}$$ -open set in the sense of Dimitrije Andrijevic, by proving that fuzzy $$\gamma ^{*}$$ -open set and fuzzy open set are completely independent of each other though the collection of fuzzy $$\gamma ^{*}$$ -open sets are themselves a fuzzy topology therein. At the same time we claim that it is beyond the scope of general topology with the existing generalized open sets in literature and consequently we move one more step towards learning the difference between topology and fuzzy topology. To this end, we study the fundamental properties of the new structure. Also we study some of the basic properties and characterizations of fuzzy $$\gamma ^{*}$$ -open sets and few of their applications. The investigation enables us to present a new covering property of the given fuzzy topological space and the preservation theory is obtained. Finally to illustrate the advantage of the proposed concept, we compare the obtained results with some already existing ones.

In this paper, we introduce and study the concept of almost continuity in weak structures (Csaszar in Acta Math Hung 131(1–2):193–195, 2011) and discuss some of its characteristic properties. Finally, we give some applications of this new kind of continuity.

In this paper, we obtain a Suzuki type unique common fixed point theorem by using C - condition with rational expressions in partial metric spaces. Also we give an example which supports our main theorem.

In the present paper, we introduce a certain subclass of analytic univalent functions which is defined in terms of a quasi-subordination and we obtain certain sharp bounds of the Fekete–Szego functional for functions belonging to this class. The results presented give improved versions for this and associated classes involving the subordination and majorization. Special cases of the main results are also mentioned briefly.

In this paper we introduce a new general class of multi-valued Lipschitz hemicontractive mappings. We then prove strong convergence theorems for finding a fixed point of the mapping using a new two steps averaged algorithm. The method used in the proof is new and enables us to systematically avoid so many strong assumptions in the contemporary literature. The theorems obtained generalize and improve many results in the literature.

In this paper we study the homogenization of the Cauchy–Dirichlet initial boundary value problems for the Navier–Stokes type equations, on one hand in an open set \(\Omega \) of \(\mathbb {R}^{N}\), on the other hand in porous media \(\Omega ^{\varepsilon }\). In the second case, the equations are classical unstationary Navier–Stokes one, and the porous media are periodic.

In this paper, the linear and nonlinear Schlomilch’s integral equations and their generalized forms are studied. The Schlomilch’s integral equations are used for many ionospheric problems, atmospheric and terrestrial physics. The generalized fractional order of the Chebyshev orthogonal functions (GFCF) collocation method is used to handle many forms of Schlomilch’s integral equations. The GFCF method can be used in the applied physics, applied mathematics, and engineering applications. The reliability of the GFCF method is justified through illustrative examples.

In this paper, by using Jensen’s inequality and Chebyshev integral inequality, some generalizations and new refined Hardy type integral inequalities are obtained. In addition, the corresponding reverse relation are also proved.

Kernel functions play an important role in defining new search directions for primal-dual interior-point algorithms for solving symmetric optimization problems. In this paper we present a new kernel function for which interior point method yields iteration bounds $${\mathcal {O}}(\sqrt{r}\log r\log \frac{r}{\epsilon })$$ and $${\mathcal {O}}(\sqrt{r}\log \frac{r}{\epsilon })$$ for large-and small-update methods, respectively, which matches currently the best known bounds for such methods.

The stable equilibrium configuration of structures is a main goal in structural optimization. This goal may be achieved through minimizing the potential energy function. In the real world, sometimes, the input data and parameters of structural engineering design problems may be considered as fuzzy numbers which lead us to develop structural optimization methods in a fuzzy environment. In this regard, the present paper is intended to propose a fuzzy optimization scheme according to the nonmonotone globalization technique, the Barzilai–Borwein (BB) gradient method and the generalized Hukuhara differentiability (gH-differentiability). In fact, using the best benefits of BB-like methods i.e., simplicity, efficiency and low memory requirements, a modified global Barzilai–Borwein (GBB) gradient method is proposed for obtaining a non-dominated solution of the unconstrained fuzzy optimization related to the two bar asymmetric shallow truss in a fuzzy environment. The global convergence to first-order stationary points is also proved and the R-linear convergence rate is established under suitable assumptions. Furthermore, some numerical examples are given to illustrate the main results.

In this paper, we prove that there is no number with the Lehmer property in the sequence of Pell numbers.

In this paper, we study split variational inclusion problem in real Banach spaces with a view to analyze an iterative method for obtaining a solution of the split variational inclusion problem in Banach spaces. We propose an Halpern type algorithm and with our algorithm, we state and prove a strong convergence theorem for the approximation of solution of split variational inclusion problem in the frame work of p-uniformly convex Banach spaces which are also uniformly smooth. Our results extend and complement many known related results in the literature.
