Chapter 59 of the book "Advanced Therapy in Hypertension & Vascular Disease" is presented. It offers Information on obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) associated with hypertension. It has been discovered that resistance to conventional pharmacotherapy may occur in hypertension in the setting of OSA. Furthermore, OSA may prevent blood pressure from falling during nocturnal sleep periods. Information on the severity, diagnosis and treatment of OSA is presented.
