To enhance the efficiency of the Multistage depressed collector (MDC) of traveling wave tube amplifiers (TWTs), TiN film was deposited by arc ion plating. The thickness and roughness of the film were respectively measured by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM). In order to study the effects of the preparation parameters and the process methods of substrates, the orthogonal experimental design method was applied to find out experimental optimum parameters. The analysis of experimental results showed that the film thickness decreased as the bias voltage increased within a certain range. The root mean square (rms) of roughness Rqwas the minimum value for TiN film, when the bias voltage was 150V, the maximum value of the secondary electron emission yield (SEEY) reduced from 1.5 to 1.25 at the optimum parameters.

Commingling is employed in the petroleum industry to enhance oil recovery and reduce costs. It is of great importance to monitor the production of each oil well oilfields. Nowadays, more and more oilfields use chromatographic fingerprint to estimate single-zone production allocation. In order to insure the efficiency and affectivity of the commingled oil well exploiting, the productivity contribution of every single layer must be acquainted. Kernel partial least squares (KPLS) is a promising regression method for tackling nonlinear systems because it can efficiently compute regression coefficients in high-dimensional feature spaces by means of nonlinear kernel functions. Unlike other nonlinear partial least squares (PLS) techniques KPLS does not entail any nonlinear optimization procedures and has a complexity similar to that of linear PLS. Using the technology of crude oil chromatography fingerprint, an algorithm for predicting productivity contribution based on KPLS is proposed. The validity of the method is proved by laboratory artificial experiments. The maximum absolute error of predicted and real proportion is less than 10%. The model can also be applied to other wells which are similar to those used in the experiment. The experiment results show the prediction model is feasible.

To realize starting operation and reduce position estimation error of switched reluctance motor (SRM) without position sensor, a novel control method based on pulse injection, divided angle section and variable threshold is presented. The starting operation of SRM can be accomplished by injecting high frequency pulse and judging position sectors. Variable threshold is used to reduce position estimation error. The value of threshold is obtained by looking up table prestored in controller. The method avoids complicated mathematical model and is suitable for starting operation with two phases. Besides, rotor position estimation error of this method is analyzed and the method which can decreased the error is proposed. At last, the experiment has been done to verify the performance of the control method.

In recent years, the increasing Debris flow has been drawing the geologists' attention for its massive destructive force. At present, the research on the debris flow are mainly based on comprehensive multi-factors evaluation or singlue factor qualitative anlalysis. However, all factors have the impact on the debris flow. At present, the research on the factors that foundamentally affecting the debris flow or its character is quite few. This paper use the method of stepwise discriminant analysis to minimize the correlation and repeatability between factors to ensure the selected factor can be fully represent the character of debris flow. In addition, classification is an important way to illustrate general picture of the debris flow. This paper classified the selected 6 key factors by method of FCM (Fussy C Means) to achieve the transition and evolution from general geological classification to the accurate quantitative analysis. Shape recovery is a critical characterization of the Shape Memory Polymers (SMP); so far, there has not been a set of uniform specifications, however, on the deformation recovery characterization of SMP, more exactly, on the shape recovery ratio measurement. A simple and effective experimental method is designed to obtain the shape recovery ratio of SMP; and a series of experiments are carried out to measure the shape recovery ratio of a thermoset shape-memory epoxy resin within the finite bending deformation at various test temperatures. And the results show that the shape recovery ratio and rate of the thin sample are larger than that of the thick one; the deformation curvature has little effect on the shape recovery ratio with the test temperatures over, or below, the glass-transition temperature,Tg, but has significant effect nearTg. The conclusions provide an important basis for the structural design of SMP.

In this paper, the shock wave characteristics of pulsed discharge in liquid which occurred in the pipe with rod-rod electrodes were studied. The effects of shock wave peak pressure in the discharge were studied with changed the discharge voltage and electrode gap. The results show that the peak pressure of shock wave increased with the increasing of voltage. When the discharge voltage 22kV, the peak pressure of shock wave increased first and then decreased with the electrode gap increased. However, the discharge voltages 26kV and 28kV, the peak pressure of shock waves increased with electrode gap increased. The pressure of the shock wave (Pr) decays exponentially with the distance (r) from the discharging center. Under this experimental condition, the shock wave intensity is calculated by averaging many values of the experiment, and the experience formula is Pr = 2.56E·e-0.4831r.

The fate of oil spilled on seawater is an important issue for marine environment. This paper studied the dissolution of two crude oils and the photodegradation of their water-soluble fraction (WSF). The relationship between the solubility and the component of the crude oils was studied by gas chromatograph, UV absorption and synchronous fluorescence spectrum, and the result indicated that the aromatic hydrocarbon was liable to dissolve in water and the dissolved organic matter (DOM) in seawater enhanced the dissolution of crude oils. Moreover, the photodegradation of WSF accorded with the pseudo-first order reaction, and the reaction rate constants for WSF 1 and 2 were 0.088 and 0.121 h-1, respectively. This investigation is helpful for better understanding the transformation of crude oil spilled on the sea.

Nearly all the chlorinated aromatic hydrocarbons are highly hazardous pollutants which do harm to organisms and have to be disposed before entering into environment. The dechlorination mechanisms of mono-chlorobenzene under hydrothermal condition (200°C, 1.5MPa) was investigated in this paper by quantum chemical methods, corresponding experiments was performed to verify the feasibility of the mechanisms. The results of modeling showed hydrated ferric ions reacted with mono-chlorobenzene in redox mechanisms and the activation energy needed in the reduction reaction with [Fe (H2O)6]2+ is lower than in the oxidation with [Fe (H2O)6]3+ .The experimental results were consistent with the quantum chemistry calculation of the redox mechanisms.

Microwave energy was used to prepare modified activated carbons (GAC, GAC/MW, GAC/Ni, and GAC/Cu). The modified activated carbons were used for phenol adsorption in aqueous solution. The adsorption conditions were optimized. Adsorption capacities of the different modified activated carbons were evaluated. The effect of microwave pretreatment of activated carbons was investigated. A comparative study on the activated carbons adsorption capacities was also investigated. Under optimal conditions the results showed that there was no obvious effect on activated carbons adsorption when rising temperature and pH during the adsorption process. Stirring has a very high effect on the activated carbons adsorption capacity. The adsorption capacity of the modified activated carbons reaches 95%. MW/GAC, GAC/Ni and GAC/Cu adsorptive capacity was higher compared to the Granulated Activated Carbon (GAC) used as received. GAC treated with microwave energy has highest adsorption capacity. The adsorption capacity of GAC loaded with ion Ni2+ is higher than the activated carbon loaded with Cu2+. The untreated GAC has the lowest adsorption capacity. These results can be explained by the effect of microwave irradiation on GAC.The activated carbon loaded with Ni2+ adsorbs more microwave energy than the GAC loaded with Cu2+.

This paper presents a new system for rapidly acquiring stereo images using a single camera and a pair of planar mirrors (catadioptric stereo). Firstly, the camera used to capture images is calibrated with matlab toolbox. Secondly, the position and pose of the planar mirrors relative to the fixed, calibrated camera is estimated, and this procedure is accomplished by calculating the symmetry plane of the real and reflected image corners of a chessboard. Thirdly, the relative orientation of two reflected virtual cameras is obtained. Finally, Gaussian noise is added to the image corners of the chessboard to verify the performance of the established stereo system. Experimental results show the effectiveness and robustness of our system.

To investigate the response of the bridge pounding, shaking table test was performed using 1/10 scaled reinforced concrete rigid frame bridge specimen. The influence of traveling effect on pounding and the anti-impact capability using dampers were discussed. The experimental results demonstrate that the acceleration responses of the girder and bridge piers, the frequency and the impact force are increased when the traveling wave excitation is considered. Moreover, relatively displacement of the adjacent bridge frames increased magnitudely. Dynamic responses, the frequency and the impact force are decrease when the dampers are installed. Therefore, installation of the dampers is a sustainable and effective way to improve the anti-impact capability.

The degradation behaviour of an anhydride-cured bisphenol A diglycidyl ether (DGEBA) epoxy resin in near-critical water was studied in this paper. The experiments were performed in a stainless steel reactor (100ml) without stirring. Epoxy resin could be decomposed successfully at 270°C for 30 min. The degradation rate of epoxy resin increased with an increase in reaction temperature and reaction pressure. The degradation reaction products were characterized by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). The degradation reaction was associated with the scission of ester and ether bonds which further destabilizes the epoxy network.

To reduce mercury emission in the flue gas at coal-fired power plant, it is very important and meaningful to research the mercury content and the existing status of other elements in coal. In this paper, mercury and sulfur content including their relevant relations of existing speciations from five coal samples were studied. Experimental method was based on U.S. EPA Method 7471 and experimental apparatus was automatic mercury analysis system Hydra AA. The results showed that in these 5 coal samples, the range of mercury content was from 0.284μg/g to 0.663μg/g and the average content was 0.401μg/g. The range of sulfur content was from 0.688% to 5.546% and the average content was 2.30% . The existing status of mercury and sulfur in coal was very complex. Under normal circumstances, when there was high sulfur content in coal, there was also high mercury content. However, the low sulfur coal may be of high mercury content.

Based on Aspen Plus software platform, a simulation of ethanol synthesis from biomass-derived synthesis gas processed on the assumption of both physical and thermodynamic equilibrium. The influences of these conditions such as temperature, reactor pressure and the H2 to (CO+CO2) mole ratio in the feed gas on CO and CO2 conversion and ethanol yield were investigated. The results showed that reaction temperature, pressure and synthesis gas composition have the most important effect on ethanol synthesis behavior. In this process, low temperature and high pressure would be advantageous for ethanol production.

The structures and electronic properties of (LaxAl1-x)2O3 are studied by first-principles calculation method. The results show that the composite material (LaxAl1-x)2O3 tend to be in sixfold-coordinated structure when x0.7. (LaxAl1-x)2O3 is in disorder structure and get the minimum band gap when x equals about 0.7. It suggest that (LaxAl1-x)2O3 can be synthesized as high dielectric constant material by doping La2O3 with a lower Al dopant concentrations or by fabricating (LaxAl1-x)2O3 with rich Al content.
