With the gradual rise inthe proportion of the aging population, the world has entered the agingsociety. Thus, the assessments of service to care receivers and home sleepquality have attracted more emphasis and attention of the medical sector. Theactuation principle is to apply a load on the upper sensor film, which touchesan external electronic control device to form the micro-current conduction.Thus the movement information of care receivers getting into or out of bed areprovided, and then through the device itself or emergency call device of thenursing station, warnings to the care receiver and other functions are given.This research aimed to understand the relationships of positive load, andrepeated load of the sensor pad to resistance; and at the last course of theexperiment, SEM and AFM were used to observe the change of oil ink organizationon the surface of the sensor film before and after the experiment as anamendment parameter for subsequent designs of the sensor pad. Future researchdirections for the flexible pressure sensor pad can be aimed at detecting bodypressure distribution, assessment of sleep quality, and so on.

The paper presents the study on the control optimization of the central cooling plant system including thermal chilled water energy storage (TES) tank in a high-tech building consists of office area, clean room and lab space. The optimized control sequences were implemented on the cooling tower staging, cooling tower fan/condenser water pump/primary chilled water pump staging and speed control, chiller staging, TES pump speed and TES modulation valves control, and secondary chilled water loop differential pressure control. The proposed control effectively resolved the problem of fluctuation in the secondary chilled water supply temperature during charging cycle and temperature increase during the discharging cycle. The number of primary chilled water pumps, condenser water pumps and cooling tower fans were also reduced to minimum after the optimization. Implementation of optimized control sequences is predicted to have an annual electricity savings of 856,125 kWh, which is about 20% of the total central plant energy consumption.

Outdoor thermal environment in urban spaces is important for people to enjoy the urban environment. This paper investigated the effect of urban design on outdoor thermal environment in an urban street in the central business district in Singapore, focusing on street orientation and height-to-width ratio. The microclimatic parameters of different street design scenarios were determined by ENVI-met numerical simulation. Field measurement was conducted to validate the results from the numerical simulation and they were in good agreement. For different design scenarios, it is found that (1) The air temperature differences did not exceed 0.8°C; (2) The mean radiant temperature differences could exceed 40°C; (3) The maximum wind speed difference was 0.6 m/s; (4) No distinct relative humidity differences could be found. The results show that shading is the key strategy for improving outdoor thermal environment in Singapore because it leads to reduction on the air temperature and mean radiant temperature simultaneously. This paper presents the implementation of energy efficiency measures in a building that consists of office, lab and clean room area. Total Performance Oriented Optimization and Retrofits (TPORs) were implemented. 594 kW solar panels were installed on the roof and connected to the electrical grid during the optimization process. Ten power meters were installed throughout the building to measure the total building electricity demand, solar generated electricity demand, HVAC and non-HVAC-equipment demand to quantify the energy savings from the implementation of the energy efficiency measures and savings from the solar panels. The electricity savings from optimization on the HVAC system is about 7,209,000kWh/year (194.4kWh/m2-year), which is about 30% of the total building electricity consumption with peak demand reduction of 935 kW. There savings come from the solar panel is 811,925 kWh/yr; however, it effectively reduced the peak electricity demand by 302.6 kW.

In the market, there was only specific software for network simulation or traffic simulation. They were expensive and could not support the routing simulation for vehicular network. In order to solve the problem, typical wireless ad hoc routings for vehicular network was researched in the free network simulation software NS2. The obstacle model and node mobile model were added. The nodes moved in random speed and direction on the road. Then the typical wireless ad hoc routings such as DSR (dynamic source routing), DSDV(destination sequenced distance vector) and AODV (ad hoc on-demand distance vector routing) were researched in the environment. The network packet loss rate and end to end delay time were compared and analyzed under the different situation whether obstacles block the radio. If obstacles did not block the radio and number of nodes was enough, DSDV had higher packet loss rate and the three routings had relatively low delay time. So DSR and AODV were more suitable for vehicular network. If the obstacles blocked the radio, the three routing routings had high packet loss rate. They needed to further advancement. This study provided a routing research idea for vehicular network and laid a foundation for further research.

ANSYS/LSDYNA is applied to simulate the sheet forming process and the springback distortion process. The springback result of sheet and stress, strain in process will be obtained. The influencing factor to the springback includes bank holder force, sheet thickness, velocity of punch, and cutting tool radius in process. The springback law can be used to compensate the mould design. Therefore, the structural parameters of the fin forming machine and the process parameters of relative mould device will be optimized. Then the accuracy of offset strip fin will be improved , it will provide a reliable basis for the Fin structure optimization design.

The matter-element model of mechanical properties of materials for grade-evaluating is established based on the matter-element theory and extension evaluation theory in the Extencis. Then the dependent function derived from extension set is used to calculate integrated correlation degree, after the Weight of each evaluation index is determined, then the grade of corresponding material will be obtained. take the metal materials for example, the results have proved that this kind of extension evaluation method applied is sure to be more scientific、normative, fair, and reasonable, which deserves to be populated and generalized.

This paper propose a two-tiered network in which lower-power users communicate with one another through repeaters, which amplify signals and retransmit them, have limited capacity, and may interfere with one another if their transmitter frequencies are close and they share the same private-line tone. Motivated by cellular networks, this paper gives a naive solution where the number of repeaters and their positions can be obtained analytically. In a circular area with radius 40 miles, 12 repeaters can accommodate 1,000 simultaneous users. This paper further propose an iterative refinement algorithm consisting of three fundamental modules that draw the Voronoi diagram, determine the centers of the circumscribed circles of the Voronoi regions, and escape the local optimum by using external optimization. The algorithm obtains a solution with 11 repeaters, which we prove to be the absolute minimum. For 10,000 users, it uses 104 repeaters, better than the naive solution's 108.

TiO2light anode film is one of the most important part of DSSC. But the microscopic structure of nano-Tio2is not perfect,it exists the problem such as big or small size, excessive internal, insufficient specific surface area which dye and electronic adsorption ability is limited. The micron ball mainly constituted by nanowires is manufactured through experiments in this article,and it is doped into P25 paste in appropriate proportion. The new method that improving the efficiency of DSSC can be summarized by improving TiO2film microstructure through analysising and contrasting in experiments.

The entity model of the combining vibrating screen was built and leaded into the multi-rigidbody dynamics software called Adams. Its kinematical simulation and analysis were done, and displacement graphs and velocity graphs of the movement of the mass center were obtained. The movement laws of the combining vibrating screen were revealed. All the researches were done to provide theories to design combining vibrating screens.

In order to reduce the oxidation and decarburization caused by high temperature in the course of the heat treatment of metal materials, an environment-friendly coating consisting of glass powder and red mud as the main raw materials is applied. It is brushed on the workpiece surface, heated in the box-type resistance furnace.The high temperature oxidation weight gain and the depth of decarburization between naked steel and coating steel are studied using weight gain method and metallographic method. The impact of the coating to reduce oxidation loss and the main properties of coating are analyzed. The result shows that processing properties of the glass-based coating are excellent:it has no crack at high temperature, distributes uniformly on the workpiece surface and can be self-spalling after quenching. It effectively prevents the workpiece from oxidation and decarburization at 800-1100 . The coating is of low cost and easy to use.

As the positive electrodes of Ni/MH batteries, the Ni(OH)2 Electrodes needs some additives to enhance their high power performance. In this paper, two kinds of nanoscale additives were synthesized and added to the Ni(OH)2 electrodes respectively and the high rate discharge capabilities of both electrodes were investigated. Compared with the Ni(OH)2 electrodes with usual CoO, the electrodes with carbon nanotubes and with nanoscale carbon particles modified onto the surface of Ni(OH)2 spheres both presented much better cycling stability and higher specific capacity when discharged at high current rate. It is suggested that when the nanoscale additives were added to the electrodes, more sufficient conductive networks formed among Ni(OH)2 spheres. The results indicate that the nanoscale materials such as carbon nanotubes and nanoscale carbon particles are desirable additives for high power Ni/MH batteries in addition to usual CoO.
