In order to improve the network throughput and anti-jamming capability of UAV communications, physical layer network coding is applied in the UAV communications. Simulation results show that: the use of physical layer network coding can not only improve network throughput greatly, reduce the error rate of communication, but also enhance its anti-jamming capability,which satisfy UAVs’ requirements in modern warfare.

According to the characteristics of constant order in sequential clustering method, it takes a layer division of vertical section of drilling sediment, by taking the 46 geochemical test sample in the Jianghan Plain Zhoulao drilling as the research objects and on the basis of mathematical theory of sequential clustering. Due to the implication function of the division results in sedimentation process and geomorphic evolution, it can be speculated that the sedimentation in the Jianghan Plain may reveal the four stages since 2.77~2.68 Ma B.P., 2.68~2.23 Ma B.P., 2.23~1.25Ma B.P. and 1.25 Ma B.P. to present which corresponds to the evolution process of the river system from unstable to mature. It suggests the drainage area becaming larger that the dispersion degree of the trace elements compositions of these samples became less, REE, Y, Th, U) and Th/Sc, Co/Th, La/Sc, Cr/Cu ratios become smaller in the Pleistocene.

Magnetic Susceptibility values of garden soil, agriculture ecosystem park soil and soil in urban-rural ecological transition zone in Xuchang city are smaller than 100×10-8 m3/kg, and the frequency magnetic susceptibility values are more than 3%, such is different from soils influenced by industrial. That above three kinds of soils with slight pollution are effected by different land uses show soil magnetic Susceptibility is a powerful indicator of soil pollution. The result of soil magnetic Susceptibility is higher shows that he pollution threats exist in agriculture ecosystem parks in villages and towns around the city.

Recently, the finite element (FE) numerical simulation technology has become an effective approach to solve problems in precise manufacturing of sheet metal parts in aircraft industries. Based on FE analysis software Pam-Stamp, Chengdu Aircraft Industrial Company developed a FE system for analysis of typical sheet metal forming. This system has been successfully applied in the development of new products, which shortens the preparation cycle of process and enhances the capability for rapidly researching and developing.

The focus of this work is to simulate and optimize thermal comfort in a ship air-conditioning system by evaluating the performance of different types of air supply outlets. Thermal comfort analyses were performed in Solidworks Flow Simulation software by changing the number, type and position of air supply outlets and the comfort was optimized by evaluating the values of temperature, velocity, PMV (Predicted mean vote) & PPD (Predicted Percentage Dissatisfied). It was concluded from the results obtained from different analyses that air supply outlet is a vital part in any type of HVAC (Heating ventilation & air conditioning) system design, as its number, type and position has significant effect on the air distribution and thermal comfort in a subject space. It was also deduced that improper selection of air supply outlet can result in room air stagnation, unacceptable temperature gradients, and undesirable velocities in the occupied zone that may lead to occupant discomfort. Through this work the importance and effectiveness of CFD (computational fluid dynamics) design tools, in the design & optimization of HVAC systems has been evaluated and it was concluded that CFD design software like Solidworks flow simulation provide an excellent provision to validate different aspects of HVAC design before actual construction.

Medium pressure type pipe robot speed fluctuation mechanism is studied. we consider that the causes of speed fluctuation are Frictional resistance mutations. Compression effect of Fluids medium and the reaction of robot speed. According to the different between the motion state of pipe robot and frictional resistance mutation trend, we make numerical simulation by using Matlab to determine the speed fluctuations law on different parameters.

In order to prepare polysulfone (PSF) hollow-fiber ultrafiltration (UF) membrane with ideal hydrophilicity, TiO2 nanoparticle was introduced to casting solution. Furthermore, the effect of TiO2 nanoparticle concentration on structure and performance of membrane were investigated. It was found that with the addition of TiO2 nanoparticle, the structure and performance are influenced obviously. With the increase of TiO2 concentration, the porosity increase, the tensile strength and fracture length have maximum values when TiO2 concentration is 1 wt%. The water flux increase obviously and the retention rate decrease slowly with the increase of operating pressure, considering water flux and retention rate of the membrane, the best operating pressure is 0.2 MPa.

To objectively determine layout priority sequence of element in human machine interface (HMI), and avoid the result difference induced in applying empirical method by different persons and keeping traceability of layout process, intelligent algorithm based on layout priority sequence for HMI was presented in this paper. With importance, operating frequency, operating sequence and reliability in ergonomics principles taken as parameters, the objective function model of layout priority sequence was made up based on ant colony algorithm. It was certificated in the main control room of a nuclear power plant, which layout priority sequence was acquired using the established objective function model. The experiment show that layout priority sequence deduced through the algorithm is a unique one. Its process is traceable, and it advantages than current methods.

Using gray theory established entropy weight and gray association model in analyzing the mostly infection factors of coal and gas outburst, entropy theory was used to calculate the weights of contamination. Analysis of sample data, in accordance with the order of gray correlative degree, it is found out the closest relations with the outstanding master factors to identify the most likely sensitive indicators to improve the accuracy of coal and gas outburst forecast prominently.

The effects of electromagnetic stirring and Al4C3grain refiner on the grain refinement of semi-continuously cast AZ31 magnesium alloy were discussed in this investigation. The results indicate that electromagnetic stirring has effective refining effect on the grain size of AZ31 magnesium alloy under the effect of Al4C3grain refiner. Electromagnetic stirring can “activate” the Al4C3particles, resulting in more heterogeneous nucleation sites for the primary α-Mg grains. But, longer holding time can “inactivate” the Al4C3particles, and the optimal experimental holding time is 60 min in the present investigation. The activated rate of the electromagnetic under the experimental condition ρ2=1.65%.

Ni-based Alloy C276 is a candidate material for the fuel cladding of super critical watered reactor (SCWR). In this paper, Alloy C276 was cut to a slice (thickness near to the fuel cladding) to investigate its creep character at 600-750oC with stress 130-240MPa. Scanning electron microscope (SEM) was used to analysis the microstructure of sheet-shape specimens (SS) and bar-shape specimens (BS). The result shows that SS have larger elongation and shorter lifetime than BS. By analyzing SEM images, we can infer that the different exfoliations made the different creep behavior of SS and BS.

Ultrasonic welding technology is applied to the connection of T-type wood-plastic composites components to study its performance. The wood-plastic composite materials are made up of 60% wood-flour (WF), 36% polypropylene (PP) and 4% maleic anhydride grafted PP (MAPP). Tensile strength of the welded joint, which oscillation time is 4 seconds, is analyzed based on experimental data. Welded joint is observed by scanning electron microscope and its connection status is analyzed. Experiment results show that ultrasonic welding technology can be applied to T-type wood-plastic composites component, which has enough tensile strength.

In a structure the presence of a geometric discontinuity of order or material reduces significantly its lifetime. Indeed, it is at these areas that the stress field is strongly disturbed and can reach very high critical levels resulting a damage process. The analysis of these unique areas can not only achieve an optimal design of the geometry of structures but also can choose materials for various assemblies. This analysis necessarily involves determining the parameters of the asymptotic uniqueness constraints. These parameters are the stress intensity factor, the tensor and standardized the order of singularity. This last parameter that indicates the severity of the singularity. It is directly connected to the geometric aspect, and incompatible materials present in the structure. This study focuses on the identification and analysis of this important parameter in the reliability of structures made of homogeneous materials.

Aiming at solving the problem of the complicated structure and difficult 3D modeling of cross wedge rollors, the article does some research on the 3D cross wedge die based on STL documents. In accordiance with the data of parametric cross wedge die, adopting the STL document format, aotomatically construct the 3D shape of the model, this method can increase the efficiency of designing the modeling of cross wedge rollors; since most CAM, CAE systems can read STL document, this method can speed up the CAE and CAM systems in order to provide 3D geomatrical model quickly.

Multi-wedge Cross Wedge Rolling (MCWR) is an advanced technology in forming long axial parts, and it does not have the disadvantages of Single-wedge Cross Wedge Rolling (SCWR).However, it is extremely important to realize the regularity of the displacement on the end-section of the rolled parts in MCWR due to the complexity of its forming mechanism. In this paper, based on the method of the displacement on the end-section of the rolled parts in SCWR, the rules of the displacement on the end-section of a typical rolled part in MCWR were investigated theoretically, and the curve on the end -section of the rolled part in MCWR were analyzed.Based on the curve, the regularity of metal flowing and the characteristic of forming for the typical rolled part in each phase by MCWR were analyzed. It is of high value in studying the forming mechanism and designing mould and technics in MCWR.

The capacitance between two terminals of a single conductor working with time-dependent signals is defined by the amount of energy stored in the electric field outside the conductor. A simple approach for calculating the capacitance is presented in this paper, which only needs the computation of an electrostatic field. The approach is derived based on two assumptions, (1) the distribution of potentials on the conductor surface is almost the same, created by a time-dependent current and a direct current flowing in the conductor, (2) the distribution of the potential created by a direct current in the conductor can be modeled by an electrostatic field, in which the conductor is replaced by a dielectric with high permittivity. The approach is only suitable for low-frequency situations, where the displacement current and the inductive electric field can be disregarded.

Proteomics responses and adaptations of Camptotheca acuminata seedlings to drought conditions stimulated by treatment with PEG8000 simulation were investigated. We determined the drought responses of seedlings after 30min, 3 h, and 5 h of treatment with15% PEG8000 . The following 2-DE and PMF identification analysis showed that there are many kinds of proteins involved in the regulation of plants responses to environmental drought. Heat shock protein (HSP) and Late embryo abundant protein (LEA) were discovered to take part in the response of C. acuminata to drought environment. Rubisco LSU was found to help C. acuminata to adapt this arid environment in the way of degradation.

Cultivated C. acuminata was distributed widely in arid area belonging to middle part of China where plant medicinal material industrials were highly developed due to limited wild resources. It was showed that drought situation could result in rapid decrease of leaf RWC lower than 50% after 6 hours of treatment and exerted adverse effects on growth and development of C. acuminata seedlings. In this paper, proteomics was used to investigate protein changes and their ecological adaptation to desiccation with the treatment of 15% PEG8000 solute to one-year C. acuminata seedlings. 2-DE was adopted to reflect total protein changes after 0 and 30 min, 3h and 5h of treatment and the different expressing blots was identified using PMF attempting to demonstrate damage mechanism of desiccation to plants and ecologically adapting. The results showed that the degradation of Rubisco large subunit (Rubisco LSU) occurred and HSP70 was implicated in the modulation process within 5 h treatment.

A systematic approach is introduced to infer surface structure of visible object surfaces using grid coding in this paper. The visualized object, which has surface of a terrain-like shape, is assumed to derive from data field of gird points defined by orthogonal division and data acquisition. Parametric surface is used to spatially represent the data for analysis. Central difference technology is presented to tessellate the curved surface and generate view-dependent multi-resolution models, which has excellent performance in real-time applications. Besides, an algorithm for data pre-processing is presented. The approach presented here also adapts to data acquired in realistic scene, which can be a virtual reality application. Comparing to previous methods, the method presented in this paper provides good flexibility in various applications. It works well in real-time graphic application while has good visual quality.

This article analyses the electromagnetic interfering sources and its transmitting ways inside electric driving system controller and expounds the anti-disturbing methods in designing the electromagnetic compatibility of electric driving system controller. Among that the interfering sources are the rectifiers and inverse transformer in the AC frequency converter and the interference signals from electric network, the transmitting ways of the electromagnetic interfering signals include transmitting in electric wires, radiating and coupling through space, and the anti-disturbing methods have (a) separating interference sources with the system or devices, (b) connecting filters in the output ends of interfering sources and the input ends of the devices easily to be interfered, (c) shielding the interfering sources, (d) grounding correctly and reliably, (e) adding circuit power filters. The experimental results demonstrated that the anti-disturbing methods mentioned above are very effective for the electric driving system controller based on computer control.

In order to solve structural damage identification problem, a damage identification method based on improved Particle Swarm Optimization (IPSO) is presented. First, structural frequency and modal strain energy are utilized to obtain damage information. Then, evidence fusion theory is utilized to integrate the information and preliminarily identify structural damage locations. After the damaged locations are determined, Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) is used to identify structural damage extent. Some improved strategies are presented to enhance the search efficiency. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method can estimate the damage locations and extent with good accuracy.

The function of the elevator is to help lunar rover arrive lunar surface from the top of Lander after landing. Rocker-arm elevator makes Lander overturn easily because its arm is too long. Different compress extent of the Lander leg, complicated condition of landing location, micro-gravity and unloading acceleration have great influence to the stability of Lander. The paper set the ZMP coordinate equation and the coordinate of support polygon by D-H coordinate law, and builds the rule of the stability. Example simulation result shows that the equation and the rule meet the requirement of Lander stability analysis on all different conditions.

To improve the room resistivity, 96MgAl2O4-2SiO2-2TiO2honeycomb ceramic doped with different Y2O3contents was fabricated by technique of raditional solid phase sintering. The microstructure and room resistivity of the samples were nvestigated by SEM and portable pH/Cond 3400i resistivity tester. The results show that as the amount of the Y2O3increases, room resistivity of the samples decreases gradually. When Y2O3content is up to 0.06mol%, the resistivity becomes minimum with 5.5×101Ω•m. When Y2O3content is up to 0.10mol%, the resistivity conversely increases.

potassium ionic sieve membrane was synthesized employing the secondary hydrothermal synthesis using tetrabutyl ammonium bromide as templates on the porous α-Al2O3 support.The zeolite membrane were characterized by XRD and SEM. The results show that the prepared membranes is potassium ionic sieve membrane, dense and continuous membrane could be obtained after crystallization synthesis was carried out at 423K for 12h and for three times.

Composed of tri-axis differential mechanism and adjustable flexible pipe-diameter adaptability mechanism, an underactuated wheeled in-pipe robot is developed to avoid the motion interference during moving in elbow. The experiment system is established to evaluate the robotic differential performance. The experimental results show that the proposed robot has several advantages such as reliable differential performance and pipe-diameter adaptability, and hence verify that the present underactuated method is an effective way how to prevent a wheeled in-pipe robot from motion interference.

Although the majority of images are recorded in color format nowadays, computer vision research is still mostly restricted to luminance-based feature detection. In this paper, we combine the features based on the color tensor with photometric invariant derivatives to arrive at photometric invariant features. The combination of the photometric invariance theory and tensor based features allows for detection of a variety of features such as photometric invariant edges, corners. Experiments show that the proposed features are robust to scene incidental events and perform well in real-world scene.

Fabrics provide an attractive alternative for cell immobilization carrier. In this study, the relationship of weave structure of fabrics and the effects of cell immobilization was investigated. Several kinds of fabrics with different weave structure were designed and produced acting as cell immobilization carrier. Adsorptive capacity of the textile carriers with different weave structure was measured and the biodegradation rate of TA by cells absorbed on textile carriers was also investigated. It is showed that adsorptive capacity and stability was significantly affected by weave structure of fabric carriers. The result also indicated that the ability to TA degradation was also improved by cell immobilization.

One of the two challenges about Supercritical Water-Cooled Reactor is material, especially for the fuel cladding. High temperature creep tests of Ni-based alloy C276, one of the candidate materials for the fuel cladding, were carried out at 650°C~750°C, with stress 130MPa~430MPa. The effects of temperature and stress on creep were investigated, the change laws of steady state creep rate with stress and time to rupture were analysed, and creep damage factors were separately calculated based on Kachanov’s formula and Norton’s formula. The results indicate that there exist two types of primary creep characteristics in C276: Type I creep characteristic at lower stress level and Type II at higher stress level respectively. C276 shows excellent high temperature creep resistance, and Kachanov’s damage factors D vs normalized time are basically coincident at 650°C, 700°C and 750°C. The damage obtained by Norton’s formula starts at about 40% of lifetime, and the damage factors calculated by Kachanov’s formula are relatively conservative.

The eletrodeposition nano-TiO2/Ni composite coating on AZ91PH Mg alloy was prepared using the nano-TiO2 as the second phase particles. The corrosion resistance of the composite coating was measured by the static immerging corrosion test and the polarization curve test. The result shows that the corrosion resistance of the composite coating was better than that of Mg alloy. The corrosion resistance of the composite coating was optimal when the content of nano-TiO2 in the plating solution was 10g/l-15g/l.

This article studies CAD technology and CAD system for vertical bag packaging machine of four edge-sealing based on modern design of reconfigurable module. The article also explains methods of reconfigurable and module for the machine. The study lays the foundation of rapid design, cost reduction and improving general.

The diffusion trajectory of NH4+, the configuration of NH4+and water molecularin hydrated clinoptilolite and K+-NH4+ion exchange process in the channel of clinoptilolite were simulated using the Materials Studio 4.3 software package’s CASTEP module. The results show that among these four hydrogen atoms in NH4+, only one is involved in the effective hydrogen bond with the oxygen atom in the framework. It was also proved that changing the distribution of the Al-site has no influence on the distribution of the extra-framework of NH4+. The interaction between particles in the channel and the zeolite framework causes the K+-NH4+ion-exchange process to take place, which means that clinoptilolite possesses better selectivity to K+than to NH4+. The structure parameters of the final product agree well with the reference, which indicate the formation of K-clinoptilolite.

Researches on precipitation of calcium from seawater have been carried out using CO2. The effect of pH value on calcium removals from seawater was investigated. It was found that it is easier to remove calcium from seawater at a higher pH value, and the removal rate of calcium can reach 60% to 90% when the pH value is from pH 8.0 to pH 9.0. The precipitated solids were characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis. The results show that they consist of CaCO3·H2O at pH 8.0 to pH 8.7, of CaCO3·H2O and MgCO3·3H2O at more than pH 9.0.

Uniform design and non-parametric regression are introduced combined with a long time immersion test of permeable concrete soaked in sulfuric acid. The experiment contains 4 factors and 10 levels and is arranged by uniform design method. The test records the permeable coefficients and volume of acid consumption and then the datum are passed a non-parametric analysis. The results show that cement-aggregate ratio and permeable coefficient have positive, while water-cement ratio have negative, linear relationships with acid consumption.

Solid solutions with different compositions, mNH4Cl·KCl and NH4Cl·nKCl (m，n≥1), were prepared by the constant speed cooling method. The thermal stability of the solid solutions was determined by TG-DTA. The results show that mNH4Cl·KCl crystals change its crystal form at 180°C, decompose into ammonia and hydrogen chloride gas at 330°C, melt at 790°C, and finally evaporate at around 820°C. Its evaporation temperature increases with the increasing of potassium chloride content in the samples. The Solid solution of NH4Cl·nKCl decomposes to ammonia and hydrogen chloride gas at 230°C, melts at 790°C, and evaporates at 800°C. The continuous specific heat curve of the solid solution (NH4, K)Cl were also determined. These data provide a theoretical basis for further research on solid solution properties.

This paper proposes a new model to calculate anchorage length for the compression anchor. Then the analytic solutions for the effective length and the critical length are derived according to the model. The analysis to the solutions show that the larger the rock mass’s elastic modulus, cohesion and internal friction angle, the smaller the anchorage length. Besides, the larger the load, the greater the anchorage length. However, the poisson’s ratio of rock mass nearly has no influence on the anchorage length. It is most important that the two calculation length show great agreement with present codes or specification.

UG Open/Grip and Open/API hybrid programming approach allows accurate modeling of copy milling cutters, avoiding modeling in the software caused by inefficient and poor accuracy flaws. This paper uses all parameters design of UG-based hybrid programming, forming a series of three-dimensional entity of copy milling cutters rapidly by modifying the basic parameters of the copy milling cutters, which can greatly improve the design efficiency of a series copy milling cutters.

Thin-walled aluminum alloy tubes can be used as rigid sampling tubes in aerospace and geological exploration and other scientific researches. In order to ensure the scientific value of samples and isolate the external environment, two sealing ends of the rigid sampling tubes are required. In this paper, the sealing-spinning process is adopted to form two sealing ends of the thin-walled aluminum alloy tubes. The results show that rigid sampling tubes with good sealing quality can be formed by controlling the main technical parameters of sealing-spinning process. And the relationships between spinning load and feed rate of roller, spinning load and shape of roller, reducing ratio of wall thickness and feed rate of roller are found.

An off-line analyzing system is developed to investigate the mechanical adaptability properties of tri-axis differential-drive in-pipe robot. It can real-time obtain the reference velocity without trackslip and the practical velocity for the driving wheels, load carrying properties for the in-pipe robot, as well as the current and voltage of the driving motor. The mechanical adaptability property indexes, such as the driving efficiency, adaptive precision and differential velocity property, are proposed and determined in experiments for the in-pipe robot. It is indicated that the tri-axis differential-drive is provided with the high driving efficiency and differential velocity precision, verifying its remarkable adaptability to various in-pipe configuration.

UG template model-based parametric design method plays an important role in improving face milling cutter design efficiency and ensuring design accuracy. Three kinds of parameter design method are described in this paper. Parametric design of series for face milling cutters is completed with UG software and UG template model, moreover, user menu and an interactive window are customized, which improves design efficiency and accuracy of face milling cutter. Meanwhile, this study can provide reference for more model design and functional development.

A pipeline robot is brought forward using the energy of fluid medium transmitting within the pipeline to perform the driving and timing. The robot is soaking in the pipeline full of flowing fluid medium and getting the driving force from the press and velocity energy of medium itself to push forward it. It is discovered during the research that robot need to overcome the gravity and influence of the friction resistance with the pipe wall while driving alone, so for the different mediums and applying situation the robot required to velocity adjustment automatically. According to the condition of the hydrodynamics within the pipe and designing in reason for the size and configuration of the robot, a velocity controlling device is worked out and realized its velocity adjustable.

Polystyrene (PS)/Poly(S-co-MA)/expanded graphite(EG)(PS/PSMA/EG) nanocomposites were prepared by melt blending, using a variety of PSMA/EG.. The electrical and mechanical properties of the PS/PSMA/EG were measured. Mechanical property measurements of composites indicated higher impact strength and lower tensile strength with increasing concentration of PSMA/EG. Exfoliated graphite has seen a significant reduction for composites in electrical resistivity.

Natural clinoptilolite collected from Chicheng of Hebei province in China, was treated with physical modification using sodium/ammonium salts, chemical modification using NaOH or NaAlO2, and physicochemical modification using NaOH or NaAlO2 and NaCl in order, respectively. And its adsorption capacity of NH4+ in different conditions was investigated. The results show that modified clinoptilolite has the same crystal structure, and the clinoptilolite modified with NaOH or NaAlO2 has good uptake of ammonia ion; the concentration of NaAlO2 has apparent influence on the removal of ammonia nitrogen, and the perfect concentration is 0.1 mol/L and the uptake could reach 0.92 mmol/g in the 100 mg/L NH4+ solution; the existence of K+、Na+、Ca2+、Mg2+ decreases the uptake of ammonia ion on clinoptilolite modified with 0.1 mol/L NaAlO2.

Potassium ionic sieve membrane was synthesized on porous α-Al2O3 tube support by the hydrothermal synthesis. The zeolite membranes were characterized by means of XRD and SEM. And the single-gas permeability through the membranes and selectivity to K+, Na+, Ca2+, Mg2+ were measured. The results show that the ideal separation factor is 3.68, which is close to Knudsen diffusion ratio 3.74 for H2/N2; the separation factors of the potassium ionic sieve membrane are , , respectively, indicating its high separation selectivity to potassium ion.

Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) of different diameter were synthesized by chemical vapor deposition using LaNi5 alloy of micrometer magnitude as catalyst. High-power ultrasonic grinder was employed to disperse CNTs for various time. CNTs with different dispersion levels were obtained and their impacts on the performance of CNTs supercapacitor electrode were researched as well. Constant current charge-discharge, Cycle Votammetry was employed to study the supercapacitors properties of carbon nanotubes. And the results showed that the specific capacitance of CNTs electrode without ultrasonic was 95.88F/g. However CNTs electrode has preferable electrochemistry properties with 16 hours ultrasonic dispersion, CNTs diameter about 30-50nm and well dispersibility: the specific capacitance had enhanced 69.9%, as high as 162.88F/g.

The instruments arrangement of human-machine interface can directly influence the operation and efficiency of human-machine interaction in system. A novel instruments arrangement optimization method based on genetic algorithm was proposed. The biology heredity and evolution mode of genetic algorithm was used to search for the optimal or satisfying arrangement solution. Fitness function was constructed based on the principles of importance, frequency of use, relevance and operational sequence. Literal permutation encoding method was applied to represent the instruments arrangement. The optimization preserving strategy was used to enhance the search speed and to enlarge the width and depth of solution space. Finally, a case of instruments arrangement optimization proves that the arrangement optimization method is effective.

To meet increasing demand for lithium, it is very essential for exploiting the lithium resources dissolved in seawater, groundwater and brine. It’s prospected that extracting lithium from solution with lithium ion-sieve, that is, spinel lithium magnesium oxides. Preparing high effective lithium ion-sieve is the heart of the technology. Magnesium oxide (MnOOH), the precursor (Li1.6Mn1.6O4) and the lithium ion-sieve were prepared successively, and their structure and properties were characterized with AAS, XRD and SEM. The results show that fibrous MnOOH is synthesized via hydrothermal reaction of KMnO4 and ethanol at 120°C for 24 h, and brown Li1.6Mn1.6O4 with little impurity is prepared with the Li/Mn mole ratio 4 after hydrothermal reaction of MnOOH and 4 mol/L LiOH at 120°C for 24 h and roast 4 h at 400°C, then lithium ion-sieve is obtained after washing 24 h with 0.5 mol/L HCl solutions and its adsorption capacity for Li+ reaches 38.26 mg/g, which has considerable potentiality comparing to its theory value. All these suggested that synthesis of single phase Li1.6Mn1.6O4 should be essential for next study on extraction lithium with lithium ion-sieve from seawater, groundwater and brine.
