The concentration and size distribution of Te inclusions in CdMnTe (CMT) are key factors in nuclear devices performance. High-concentration and large-size Te inclusions degrade the performance drastically, especially for electrical properties. In this paper, the Te inclusions along the axial and radial directions in CMT crystal grown by the Traveling Heater Method (THM) were revealed by Infrared Microscopic System. The size of Te inclusions is 5-17 μm and the concentration is (2.5-4.6) ×105cm-3. The Current-Voltage measurements were performed and the resistivity of the CdMnTe crystal with excess Te was in the range of 108-109Ωcm, and the correlation between the Te inclusions and resistivity was investigated. The large size (>17 μm) and high concentration (4.5 of ×105cm-3) Te inclusion decrease the resistivity of the CMT crystal seriously.

A nonlinear once-through coal-fired boiler-turbine unit model is introduced and analyzed for the purpose of control system design. Firstly, input-output variable pairing configurations for this 3×3 system are obtained based on static relative gain array and row-Gershgorin band analysis using its linearization model at 100% load. A decentralized PI control system is then deployed and tuned to explore its control system performance as the basis of further study. Results show that the decentralized control structure has good setpoint tracking performance, while the disturbances between loops are still notable due to non-diagonal dominance, thus control strategy of decoupling or disturbance rejection is necessary.

NiTi shape memory alloy was potentiostatically anodized in a molybdate electrolyte containing ammoniac ion to form a thick and uniform oxide layer. The oxide layer was characterized by SEM, XRD, EPMA, XPS and potentiodynamic polarization test. It was found that the as-prepared coating is a thick (approx. 40 μm), smooth and dense oxide layer, and is free of cracks and porous defects. Moreover, the surface analyses revealed that the anodic oxidation at 60 mV potential (SCE) reduces significantly the proportion of Ni in the outmost surface layer, and the atomic ratio of Ti and Ni elements is raised from 1:1 to 9.7:1. The as-prepared coating was primarily composed of noncrystalline TiO2 on the outermost surface with a small quantity of Ni (OH)2. Potentiodynamic polarization tests in Fusayama artificial saliva pH 6.2 demonstrated that the oxide layer presents a significant increase in breakdown potential due to titanium enrichment.

By mapping one dimension time series into two dimension graph, Horizontal Visibility Graph (short as HVG) method provides a new way to analyze time series structural properties, it has been used in economics, biology, sociology and other areas related. In this paper, we apply it to investigate the Low-rate Denial-of-Service (LDoS) flow packet sequence pattern variations. We establish the Packet Sequence Model and put new metrics to measure the pattern similarity. Using the data carried out on PlanetLab, we find out that the packet sequence time series of the receiver has a bigger HVG degree than the sender, indicating that the packet sequence patterns get more irregular under the impacts of end-to-end delay.

The performance of a Portland cement mortar modified by styrene-acrylate emulsion (SAE) latex and vinyl-acetate/ethylene (VAc/E) copolymer type redispersible powder (RPD) were studied. Performance similarity was found in our comparative study on both mortars. Results suggested that optimum usage of polymer content is between 2~3% for both SAE and RDP modified mortar which would give the highest toughness and adhesion on the EPS panel. The chemical composition difference between SAE and RDP have less effect on the compressive strength, flexural strength of the mortar and adhesion strength on the EPS panel.

This study explored recycling waste expandable polystyrene (EPS) foam to produce styrene-acrylate emulsion (SAE) latex. EPS substituted styrene ranging from 10% to 50%. Flocculation was observed when EPS content is >40%. Solid content and gel rate confirmed this observation. Particle size distribution showed particle size increased and its distribution broadened as EPS content increased. This may probably due to the viscosity increment of the emulsion droplets when EPS content increase and lead to increment of the droplets size and the emulsion gradually lost stability, therefore the solid content and gel rate increased. Hence stable SAE can be produced with EPS

Modelling the seismic trace as the non-Gaussian moving average time series, we propose a deconvolution method based on the modified estimation, which is consistent estimation of moving average models with heavy tailed error distribution. The asymptotic equivalence is established between the proposed method and the deconvolution using . Simulation studies are presented to validate the equivalency. Using SBA-15 molecular sieve as the support, Cu/SBA-15 and Cu-ZnO/SBA-15 catalysts were prepared by grinding and impregnation. They were characterized by XRD, TEM, TPR and nitrogen adsorption/desorption methods. Their catalytic activities of the dehydrogenation of methanol to methyl formate (MF) were studied and compared. The results indicated that the Cu and ZnO in the catalysts prepared by grinding had a worse dispersity than that prepared by impregnation. However, the reduction temperature of the CuO in the catalysts prepared by grinding was obviously lower than that prepared by impregnation and the selectivity to MF can be improved with the adding of ZnO. The experiments showed that the methanol conversion rate and selectivity to MF were 15.23% and 79.81% at 270°C for Cu-ZnO/SBA-15-G prepared by grinding, respectively. For Cu-ZnO/SBA-15-I prepared by impregnation, the methanol conversion rate and selectivity to MF were 13.41 % and 81.31% respectively.

To improve the quality controlling of pipeline steel and to avoid mis-down grade, the cleaness including content of non-metallic inclusions, total oxygen and nitrogen of the first continuous casting slags of X70 pipeline steel were investigated. Results showed that, content of total oxygen, nitrogen, large non-metallic inclusions and inclusions areal density decrease with casting length increasing gradually. But at casting length of about 5.0 m which is just during the drastic changeing period of casting speed approaching to stead casting state, the content of large non-metallic inclusions and inclusions areal density increases abruptly induced by the entrapment of mold powders. Thus, to decrease the degradation rate of pipeline slab, the increasing rate of casting speed should be adjusted more evenly.

In this paper, the threshold voltage of diamond film-based metal-semiconductor field effect transistors (MESFETs) has been simulated using Silvaco TCAD tools. The drain current (Id) versus gate voltage (Vg) relationship, and the distribution of acceptors in diamond surface conduction layer were also investigated. From the simulation results, it was found that the gate length contributed the most to the threshold voltage, while the doping depth almost had no impact on the threshold voltage value.

Carbon dioxide reforming of methane over Ni/Mo/ La2O3-SBA-15 was studied. The catalyst was characterized by N2 adsorption, X-ray diffraction, H2-TPR,CO2-TPD and TG-GTA analysis. The results indicated that the introduction of an appropriate amount of La2O3 exhibited a higher activity and stability. In the long term stability test, La2O3 impregnated Ni/Mo-SBA-15 gave the highest conversion and stable activity at 800°C for 250 h. The effect of La was suggested to be due to its lower tendency to carbon deposition. Characterization results showed a strong interaction between La and Mo or Ni which facilitated the improvement of catalytic performance.

In parallel filesystem, data for a single file is striped across multiple storage nodes to provide high performance. But the synchronous write performance of the small file is always poor because it is low efficiency to strip the data of small file to multiple storage nodes. So, many parallel filesystem use the uniform distribution method to save whole the small file to on storage node. This storage method of small file leads to the performance bottle of small file synchronous write in parallel file system. This paper presents a high performance automatically cooperative synchronous write mechanism for the small file in parallel filesystem: C-SWM. C-SWM is a set of pure software mechanisms which provide the reliability of synchronous write operations with the performance of asynchronous write operations. The data of asynchronous write in C-SWM are saved on both two cooperative nodes in parallel filesystm before being written to disk. The experiments in this paper prove that the C-SWM can great improve the small file synchronous write performance in parallel filesystem.

The evolution of the screening efficiency for the probability screen was given in this paper. Trispectrum based on AR model was estimated with the vibration signal obtained from the probability screen. The relevance between trispectral slices and screening efficiency was analyzed qualitatively. The evolution of screening efficiency was also discussed in detail with a statistical quantity, i.e., kurtosis(K); In addition, the relationship between the correlation dimension and screening efficiency was analyzed quantitatively. The results show that the relevance between the spectral characteristics and screening efficiency is consistent with the relationship between the correlation dimension and screening efficiency.
