Ultrasonic shot peening (USP) on AALY12 sheet was studied. Several parameters (arc heights, surface roughness, surface topography and micro hardness) with different USP process parameters were measured. The research proposes that radius of curvature of shot peened sheet increases with time and electric current decreasing, while increases with pin diameter increasing, and radius of curvature reaches a saturation level after a specific processing time and electric current. An empirical model of the relationship between radius of curvature and pin diameter, electric current, time was also obtained. The research shows that the increment of surface and vertical micro hardness of material is more obvious with longer time and higher value of electric current, which can be up to 20% and 28% respectively.

A facile synthesis method of three dimensional reduced graphene oxide (RGO)/multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) hydrogel was introduced. Hydrogel samples which were characterized by scanning electron microscope (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and examined by X-ray diffraction (XRD) have been used as the electrode of supercapacitor. Cyclic voltammetry (CV) and galvanostatic charge-discharge (GCD) were used to investigate the Supercapacitors which we have fabricated. Because MWCNTs inserting into layers of RGO homogeneously prevent the layers of RGO from stacking and enlarge the specific surface area of graphene, the specific capacitance of RGO/MWCNTs material has been greatly improved. At the current density of 0.2A/g, the specific capacitance of RGO/MWCNTs electrode is about 176F/g, which means a 52% increasement compared to which of pure RGO material electrode. And the specific capacitance of RGO/MWCNTs also achieves a good rate property.

Metal rubber is a new type of elastic damping material. It’s often used in all kinds of instruments and equipment to vibration isolation and buffer. The internal of metal rubber is mesh structure in space formed with wires. The contact points of the crossed wires aren’t solid collusion. Although the compressive strength of metal rubber is very good, but the structure of metal rubber would become loosly and destroyed under tensile load. Literature [1] put forward that the pulse discharge sintered to metal rubber can make the contact point transform to solid collusion. The method is based on the theory of resistance welding to the contact points between sintering metal wires in metal rubber. The research and analysis to the electricity characteristics of the metal rubber has important significance to optimize parameters of electrical pulse discharge experiment and improve the quality of sinter.

The issue about choosing the point of interconnection is important to reduce the impact of Photovoltaic generation to the power grid security and investment. Here we present a model to identify the optimal point of Photovoltaic generation interconnection, based on the identification method of the critical elements in the complex network theory. In the model, the critical threshold is used as the measure index which reflects the minimum capacity of power grid to maintain every element stable operation. The simulations are carried out in the IEEE-118 power system, the IEEE-145 power system and the IEEE-162 power system, and the results show that the nodes with relative large electrical betweenness are good choice of the Photovoltaic generation interconnection points and the generation nodes are better choices compared to the transmission nodes. The work may have a certain guiding significance for the selection of Photovoltaic generation interconnection point and the planning of power system.

The decarbonized strips of high permeability grain-oriented silicon steel were annealed at different temperatures in a furnace after rolling at the ratio of 21.1%. The changes of the structure and the texture were analyzed by optic microscope and X-ray diffraction. Results show that the grains are easy to grow up and coarse after annealing, while the texture of the strips changes gradually from {111} to {118} and rotary cubic texture as the annealed temperature rises. The mechanism is that at a relatively lower cold rolling ratio, the distortion storage energy of the ferrite grains in the directions of {118} and {100} is higher than that of the {111} grains so that the texture can form after a suitable annealing process.

AZ31B magnesium alloys were treated by plasmaelectrolytic oxidation (PEO) technique using an environmental friendly electrolyte solution under single-polar pulse power mode to improve the coating performance. The effect of applied voltage on the coating qualities was studied. The coating surface and the cross-section morphology were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and the corrosion resistance was tested by potentiodynamic polarization. The coating surface is porous, and the pore size in the coating layer grew with applied voltage increased. The potentiodynamic polarization tests showed that PEO coatings exhibit significantly improved corrosion resistance as compared with uncoated magnesium substrate AZ31B, decreasing the corrosion current density by three orders of magnitude. The anti-corrosion performance of the PEO coating was improved with the operation voltage increasing from 240 V to 280 V, and at voltage higher than 280 V, there is no further improvement on the coating electrochemical property. The optimal operation voltage was 280 V, which exhibits the most high corrosion resistance.

Cavity walls structure is unsuitable in cold area for its faultiness of poor heat-insulating property. But the cavity walls constraint masonry construction is suitable in cold area for its high heat-insulating property. Studies are carried as setting up the restoring force model of the cavity walls confined masonry structure and analyzing the dynamic time-history of cavity walls constraint masonry structure under 7 degrees small earthquake, middle earthquake or large earthquake through EL centro wave, TALF wave, Ninghe wave and Qian'an wave, which indicates that cavity walls constraint masonry construction can satisfy seismic demand of 7 degree quake. The V-doped TiO2 nanoparticles were successfully prepared by sol-gel method and characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), UV-vis spectroscopy and photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy respectively. It is found that doping V can shift the absorption edge to the visible light region and decrease the recombination of photo-induced electron-hole pairs. Then the photo-absorption and photocatalytic activity were greatly improved. The optimal doping concentration is 0.5% due to synergetic effect of the recombination of electron-hole pairs and adsorption of dyes molecules at the surface of samples.

Antimycobacterial activities of N-(pyridin-4-yl) salicylamides were influenced by the balance between hydrophobicity and electron-withdrawing substituent effect on the phenyl and pyridine ring. These studies show that these compounds might serve as prospective wide-spectrum antimycobacterial substances.

The continuous dosing and discharge of water soluble redox mediators such as biologically recalcitrant compounds will result in the secondary contamination. The immobilized redox mediator prepared by incorporation of anthraquinonedisulphon-ate (AQDS) during the electropolymerization of pyrrole monomer on active carbon felt (ACF), AQDS/PPy/ACF, was used for catalyzing bioreduction of 2,4-dinitrotoluene(2,4-DNT) in this study. The results showed that the morphology of the PPy films deposits on ACF are characterized by some globular structure; AQDS/PPy/ACF exhibited good catalytic activity and stability for 2,4-DNT, the enhanced reduction rates obtained in the incubations with AQDS/PPy/ACF was about 5 times that without AQDS/PPy/ACF, the corresponding first-order reduction rate constant k reached 0.045 h-1; 2,4-DNT was reduced to be 2,4-diaminotoluene via 2-amino-4-nitrotoluene and 4-amino-2-nitrotoluene in the system.

To solve the early destruction problems occurred when overlaying asphalt pavement structure containing semi-rigid base on broken cement concrete pavement, finite element software is used to compare the stress characters between the repaving pavement and ordinary pavement, and analyze the repaving structures under different loads and different road transverse grade. It shows that the value of compressive stress at the top of base of repaving pavement is significantly higher than that of ordinary pavement, meanwhile, its value of tensile stress of base bottom is lower; the asphalt surface and new base top of repaving pavement need to bare a high value of shear stress and compressive stress under overload, so it’s prone to splitting failure in the base. With the increase of transverse grade, both the shear stress difference of road surface and maximum vertical compressive at top of the base increase in a lower position, but the situation is opposite in the higher position.

We reported the synthesis of a promising carbon nanofiber-titania-cordierite monolith composite (C/TiO2/monolith) and its application in citral hydrogenation. The composite was synthesized through two steps: TiO2 coating on the surface of the monolith with sol-gel method and the following carbon deposit by methane decomposition. C/TiO2/monolith was subsequently employed to prepare its supported palladium catalyst, Pd/C/TiO2/monolith and its catalytic performance was evaluated in selective hydrogenation of citral. Results revealed that 2.0 wt% tetrabutyl titanate sol in composite synthesis was the best in improving textural properties of C/TiO2/monolith. The optimal composite possessed a BET surface area of 39.4 m2/g and micropore area accounted for only 3.8% of its total BET surface area. It contained about 30 wt% of carbon, which was mainly composed of carbon nanofiber. Pd/C/TiO2/monolith exhibited the high citronellal selectivity (81%) at 90% citral conversion, which was attributed to the decrease of internal diffusion limitation due to its mesoporous structure.
