The introduction of the thought of supply chain management into the construction industry can improve the competitiveness of enterprises. Based on the integration of both the effect of the supply chain as well as supply chain management and the actual situation, this paper analyzed the necessity of the construction and implementation of supply chain management of the construction enterprise. Compared with the supply chain of manufacturing industry, we found it feasible to implement supply chain management in the construction industry and analyzed the obstacles in it. Finally, it pointed out that the clustering of construction materials, information technology, business process reengineering, outsourcing of projects logistics and so on were the basis of constructing supply chain management of the construction enterprise, and accordingly the joint-design supply chain model of the project cost-oriented and the responsiveness-oriented was established.

In this paper we develop a robust controller based on sliding mode, neural network and fuzzy logic for the control of a class of under-actuated systems. The stability of the proposed controller is proved with the Lyapunov function method. Simulation results are made on an inverted pendulum.

The purpose of this paper is to study the anti-corrosion properties of a novel pre-treatment CeO2/ZrO2 nanometric film coating on the surface of cold-rolled plate at room temperature. A novel coating agents involved elements Zr,Ce and additional surfactants were prepared and used in the field of cold-rolled plate pretreatment. The surface of the coating sample was investigated by using X-ray Photon Spectrum (XPS), X-ray Diffraction (XRD) and Scanning Electronic Microscope (SEM)，respectively. The Ce3+ doted ZrO2 nanofilm could improve the anti-corrosion performance of coated plate. This dipping coating process satisfied the energy-saving and green chemistry requirement of modern cold-rolled plate pre-treatment technology.

A problem of quadrotor’s control system based on DSP is investigated in this paper. STMS320F28335 is used as the main processer, due to its advantages of high-speed processing capability and powerful floating point processing capability. The inertial measurement unit is selected for inner-loop attitude control, while the optical flow sensor is adopted for outer-loop attitude compensation. Infrared range finder is choosed for altitude control with PID method. Quadrotor uses XBee-Pro wireless module to contact with ground station and sends statement information in accordance with the Mavlink protocol. Test results show that the control system is reliable and can meet the requirement of the attitude control system.

Authentication is the process where claims of identity are verified. Most mechanisms of authentication exist above the physical layer, though some exist at the physical layer often with an additional cost in bandwidth. This paper introduces a general analysis and design framework for authentication at the physical layer where the authentication information is transmitted synchronously with the data. By superimposing a carefully designed secret modulation (wavelet transform) on the waveforms, authentication is added to the signal without requiring additional bandwidth. Simulation results are given that demonstrate the potential application of this authentication technique.

This paper presents the results of experimental studies carried out to conduct a comprehensive investigation on the influence of tool material on the characteristics of Electrical Discharge Machining process of AISI H13 tool steel. The studied process characteristics included the tool wear ration and thickness of the white layer on the workpiece after the EDM process. The experiments carried out under the designed full factorial procedure and the considered EDM input parameters included pulse on-time and pulse current. The results of this study could be utilized to choice a set of pulse on-time and pulse current according to the outcomes that suit the requirements of tool-workpiece combination processed by the EDM.

Yunnan province has rich natural resources with high species diversities because of its unique ecological environments, while the abundance of genera of seed plants endemic in Yunnan ranked the top one in China. But there are several shortcomings influence the research and the protection on genera of seed plants endemic in Yunnan. Firstly, the storage of relevant knowledge and data of genera of seed plants endemic in Yunnan is dispersion; secondly, the structure of the data system is poor; thirdly, the format and standard database is not unified. In order to improve the above shortcomings, this paper will built an ontology knowledge database for Yunnan genera of seed plants endemic based on ontology, geography ontology and ontology integration technologies. This new ontology knowledge database will apply new technologies and theoretical basis for the further macroscopic research on Yunnan genera of seed plants endemic. And it will apply scientific decision and research methods for optimization adjustment on distribution of genera of seed plants endemic in Yunnan.

Monodispersed silica spheres have attracted much attention because of their widely applications in the areas of catalysis, adsorption, chromatography packing materials and advanced ceramics. This paper focused on its application as a packing material of function coatings for space applications. Nanosized monodispersed silica spheres can be fabricated by Stöber method. However, microsized monodispersed silica spheres are not easy obtained. In this paper monodispersed silica spheres with the size between 200nm to 2000nm were fabricated by hydrolysis of tetraethoxy silane (TEOS) in isopropyl alcohol solvent and using ammonia as catalyst through multi-step growth method. The influence of silica seed number density and TEOS concentration on monodispersity and size of silica sphere were studied. The result shows that monodispersed silica spheres could be obtained through control the concentration of TEOS and the silica seed number density during every growth step. The diameter of monodispersed silica spheres increased with the steps of growth.

Research results further verified rationality and security of the design scheme, which provides reliable reference for construction and operational of inverted siphon structure.

The Deep Surface Rolling (DSR) technology can substantially increase the fatigue life of metallic materials due to the introduction of deep compressive residual stresses in the material surface. These beneficial compressive residual stresses can be achieved up to a depth of 1 mm. The DSR technology also produces a good surface finish unlike bead peening technology. In this study, the main objectives were: (1) to study the feasibility of DSR for fatigue life improvement of high strength aluminium alloy (7075-T651) repaired with laser cladding technology, and (2) to investigate the effect of thermal stressing on the fatigue life improvement of DSR. Previously published results have shown that post-heat treatment of laser clad high strength Al alloy coupons improved their fatigue life. The experimental results in this paper show that the fatigue life was substantially increased using the DSR technique on laser clad 7075-T6 aluminium alloy compared to laser cladding alone and laser cladding followed by post heat treatment.

This paper designed an analog control circuit which can automatically track the sun for PV bracket system to improve the solar cell photo-electricity conversion efficiency. The sunlight intensity can be real-time detected by sampling the short-circuit current of solar cell. The PV bracket system can be automatically adjusted to achieve a final horizontal angle and pitch angle by using the hysteresis comparator and dedicated motor driver chip, which always makes photovoltaic modules toward the sun's position. At the same time, the PV bracket system can be automatically reset by the hall switch when the sun reaches the sunset and the light intensity is less than the reference value. The experimental prototype is used to testify the correctness and reliability of the control system, which has better practicability and value to extend.

A new soil water characteristic curve (SWCC) model considering urea concentration is presented in the paper. Two assumptions are used to obtain the model. One is SWCC which could be described by exponential functions in the experiments. Another is relationship between the parameters of exponential functions and urea concentration which is linear based on experimental data. In the research, we have carried out some experiments of SWCC and obtained some valuable data which could affect urea concentration. By using linear fitting, an exponential function between water content and suction and urea concentration is established.

Thorium has a possibility as alternative nuclear reactor fuel. Thorium has several good neutronic properties so that could provide higher capacity factor, more stable and insoluble, very resistant to weapon-material proliferation, and more cost effective. On the other hand, regarding the previous study [, neutronic performance of Thorium utilization as nuclear fuelwithout burnable poison materials additionyielded high excess reactivity. In order to handle this safety consideration without increase control mechanically, there was possible to add burnable poison (BP) materials. BP materials could absorb faster from fuel burn up because they have high cross section capture. Besides, they could left poison residue as few as they can in the end of fuel cycle. Protactinium, Pa, was a nuclide which has the same characteristic such standard BP materials. This paper describes the effect of addition of Pa-231 towards excess reactivity and operation time. The optimized design resulted in boiling water reactor with active volume 5,193.034 liter, power 182 MWt, operation time 28 years and maximum excess reactivity 0,56% dk/k. These specifications were obtained using fuel percentage composition of U-232 as much as 10 13% and Pa-231 as much as 9.36 16.01%.

In this paper, fully monolithic tunable millimeter-wave filters using defected ground structures (DGS) are proposed using the CPW-based periodic structures with novel multiple-contact MEMS switches. Millimeter-wave low-pass filters were designed, fabricated, and tested. The cascaded CPW-based periodic structures, with low-pass intrinsic filtering characteristics, are reconfigured into a self-similar single unit cell by the operation of the novel multiple-contact MEMS switches with single actuation. In the first order tuning, the 3-dB cut-off frequency changes from 8.2GHz to10.5GHz, and the second order tuning is 8.2GHz to 16.8GHz. The tested results show that the pass-band ripple is less than 1.2dB and the maximal out-of-band rejection is better than 27dB. The chip size of the low-pass filter is 2.5mm×1.2mm.

Land use is the result of the interaction between the Nature and the Man; the change of land use not only affects landscape pattern changes, but also affects ESV. The paper is based on RS and GIS technology, taking Changshou district of Chongqing as an example. We select and calculate the Shannon-Wiener diversity index (SHDI), landscape fragmentation index (LTFI) and landscape dynamic index (K), to analyze the landscape pattern changes, and the theories of ESV is used in this paper. The results indicate: In 2002 and 2009, the total of patches increases. The area and the patches of forest land, brush, town and construction increase, while the area and the patches of the paddy, dry land, and the unused land reduce. SHDI and LTFI increase slightly. ESV ascends from 191million yuan to 197million yuan from 2002 to 2009, the net ascending value is 61million. The results show the ecological environment has improved a little in Changshou.

Dynamic properties of Nanostructured Metal Matrix Composites (NMMCs) materials consisting of nanograined aluminum matrix with nano or micro-sized ceramics particulates are calculated using Ansys/LS-DYNA in this paper. There are three conditions for the mechanics analysis involved the target with 10 vol. % SiC, 30 vol. % SiC and 50 vol. % SiC. It is assumed that the SiC particles uniformly distributed in the matrix. According to the analysis, the strength of NMMCs material is reduced, and the deformation of target is weakened by the vol. % of SiC increasing.

With the widely use of discrete problems in production scheduling, traffic control, logistics, management science and social science, the restraint of the integer solution to the discrete problem, adding to the difficulties. In this paper, knapsack problem as an example, the computational accuracy and computation in the next, studied the design and analysis of algorithms for solving discrete problems.

In port crane industry, the surface hardening technique is widely used in order to improve the strength of wheel. But the hardening depth is chosen only by according to the experience, and the effect of different hardened depths is not studied theoretically. In this paper, the contact stresses in wheel with different hardening depth have been analyzed by applying three-dimensional finite element model. Based on this model, the ANSYS10.0 finite element software is used. The elastic wheel is used to verify the numerical results with the Hertz’s theory. Three different hardening depths, namely 10mm, 25mm and whole hardened wheel, under three different vertical loads were applied. The effect of hardening depth of a surface hardened wheel is discussed by comparing the contact stresses and contact areas from the numerical results.

Graft copolymerization of acrylamide (AM) and methyl acrylacyl oxyethyl trimethyl ammonium chloride (DMC) onto gelatin under microwave radiation was studied. The resultant ternary graft copolymer was used as wood pulp dry-strengthening agent. The application results showed that the optimum synthesis conditions was that microwave radiation power was 500W, microwave radiation time was 120S, the concentration of CAN(initiator) was 3mmol/L, m(CS): m(AM): m(DMC) =1:6:2. The breaking length and broken index of hand sheet made of wood pulp was respectively increased by 24.5% and 22.3% when the dosage of the graft copolymer was 0.8% of dry fiber weight.

Concrete interlocking block pavement is characterized of preferred durability, easy construction and maintenance and low construction cost. It can be widely applied in the rural highway. Based with the project of rural highway in Tongchuan Shaanxi province, the paper studies the mechanism of interlocking blocks, design of the pavement, and construction technology for field application. After one year service for open traffic, the interlocking block pavement is shown to have fascinating economy and service performance for the rural road.

Anisotropic materials have been widely applied in practical engineering problems of interest. In the paper, the anisotropic heat transfer behaviors are analyzed using the proposed hybrid finite element model with Green’s function kernel. In the established weak integral hybrid functional, the element internal field being approximated with the combination of Green’s function satisfies a priori the governing partial differential equation and the independent frame field is assumed to link the internal field. As a result, the solving linear system of equations with boundary integrals only is obtained and the constructed elements show anisotropic feature. Two numerical examples are given to show the convergence and accuracy of the proposed approach, and the effect of ply angle of orthotropic material principal direction on the temperature distribution is discussed to investigate heat transfer mechanism in anisotropic materials.

In this paper, the keyhole of YAG laser welding 5A90 Al-Li alloy was observed and measured through the high speed camera. The characteristics of the keyhole and the effects of welding parameters were studied. The characteristics of the absorption of laser energy and the susceptivity for heat input in welding 5A90 were given. The results show that in this welding condition, the keyhole of laser welding 5A90 is nearly a taper and the highest temperature area is in the bottom. There are clear effects of heat input on the characteristics, especially the surface radius of keyhole and plasma/vapor in keyhole. Another phenomena is observed that sometime plasma/vapor could disappear in 0.3ms welding time, and this feature will be more remarkable as decrease of heat input. It shows that the absorption of energy is unsteady. It is known that when this instability reaches a certain value, an unsteady weld will be formed.

Since thermocouple has an intrinsic disadvantage that its signal is very weak, many problems usually appear such as large noise and low temperature resolution when thermocouples are being used. Aiming this defect on thermocouple measurement, this paper proposes a solution of analog circuit design that provides the character of low noise and high SNR. This paper discusses the analog circuit design and calculation based on the S-type thermocouple which is often used for a very wide temperature range. This designed module can be applied to measurement instruments.

Dielectrophoresis (DEP) has been verified to be an efficient means of assembling carbon nanotubes (CNTs) for various applications. This paper simulates the electric field distribution of the quadruple electrode structure when the external AC voltage is applied between a pair of opposite electrodes. There exist induced electric potentials between high voltage electrodes and floating electrodes and thus floating electrodes seriously change the field distribution. For a pair of wide parallel electrodes, the deposition of one CNT bridging the electrode pair will greatly alter the local electric field and repel the further deposition of CNTs in the vicinity. The screening distance is relevant with the width of the electrode gap, which provides a way to estimate the density of assembled CNTs between the electrode pair.

Some tests including tensile test, bending test and shear test have been done to fibre-reinforced sandwich core boards which are ready applied to high speed train. Fibre laying craftwork is introduced in the paper and the test results show that the uniformity of fibre laying craftwork is good. The laying fibres have effective enhanced axial strength and modulus of fibre-reinforced sandwich core board. The reinforce influence degree to modulus is greater than strength.

In this paper we prepared electroless Ni-plated wood veneers using two Pa activation methods. One is the traditional Pa colloid activation and the other uses Pa2+ions. SEM-EDS results indicated that the coatings were continuous, uniform and compact with a P content of lower than 4 wt.%. XRD analysis showed that the coatings were crystalline, which was related to the low P content. The plated wood veneers exhibit good electro-conductivity with surface resistivity of lower than 0.3 Ω cm-2and higher electromagnetic shielding effectiveness of over 60 dB in frequencies from 10 MHz to 1.5 GHz.

Pyroshock responses of aerospace structures/systems are significantly important for design and valuation of space systems because it is a harsh environment for the systems, especially the electrical components. But the designers strongly rely on tests because, up to now, there have not been effective analytical and even numerical techniques for this problem. Fortunately, a number of researchers have been making efforts to build numerical techniques for structural responses prediction under this kind of special dynamic environments. This paper presents the techniques of time-history analysis, response spectrum analysis, statistical energy analysis and a synthetic technique composed of hydrocode analysis, time-domain finite element analysis (FEA) and statistical energy analysis. Further work and development trends are discussed in the end.

This paper analyzes the dialectical relationship between the hazards and risks to find out the common things of ways and methods to control them and then analyze and discuss several classification of sources of danger to propose specific ways and methods to management of coal hazards. On this basis, we design and develop appropriate management system of coal hazards, in order to achieve effective management of risks.

It is difficult to directly compress the raw data of synthetic aperture radar for its low relativity. In this paper, a new algorithm is put forward. Firstly range focusing is imposed to SAR raw data, which makes it have comparative high relativity, secondly a linear prediction is performed along the azimuth, lastly block adaptive quantization is used to the prediction difference series. The experiments manifest that with same bit rate, SQNR and SDNR of the algorithm proposed in this paper surpass that of BAQ algorithm. The calculation in this paper is far less than that of compression method after range focusing advised in corresponding reference.

This paper determined the total absorbance of phosphorus molybdenum blue and arsenic molybdenum blue by using the additive property of their absorbance values. By eliminating the interference of arsenic by reduction masking with composite reducing agent Na2SO3-Na2S2O3-KBr, the absorbance of phosphorus could be obtained. Thus, the content of phosphorus and arsenic could be calculated, respectively. The results show that the work curves of this method for phosphorus and arsenic are consistent with Beer’s law when the content of phosphorus and arsenic is 0-0.60ug/mL and 0-2.00ug/mL, respectively. The standard addition recovery rate of phosphorus and arsenic is 98.80%-101.04% and 99.00%-101.50%, respectively. The relative standard deviation of phosphorus and arsenic is less than 4.0% with good accuracy and precision. This method is simple and fast to determine phosphorus and arsenic in molybdenum concentrate, and the results are accurate and reliable.

Modified anaerobic-anoxic-aerobic (A2O) technology for dye wastewater was studied. The effects of Hydraulic retention times (HRT), sludge retention time (SRT) and carbon source on treatment efficiency were discussed. Scanning electron microscopes (SEM) for different sludge and UV-visible spectrum analysis for influent and effluent were investigated respectively. The results showed that when COD of influent was 600~1200 mg/L and the dye concentration was 20~40 mg/L, HRT had the obvious effect on treatment efficiency of modified A2O system. Total treatment efficiency of the improved system was more than 90% at the optimal HRT (29 h). The dye structure was demonstrated to be changed during the process. Finally, the dye and its intermediates were transformed and mineralized respectively.

PC1D software, which was developed by the University of New South Wales, has been used to simulate photovoltaic properties of crystalline semiconductor devices. The paper focuses on the simulation of silicon solar cell by PC1D. The simulation of silicon solar cell is carried out by setting up key parameters, which include device area, thickness, band gap, etc. Several important characteristics of silicon solar cells are obtained by simulation.

Starting from the present condition, the paper analyzed the changes happened after the introduction of modern computer-based multimedia technology in current education system across China. There is a sharp change in the relationship between the teacher and the students and there are also a lot of shifts in teaching methods, environments, requirements, objectives, assessments, etc caused by modern technology. Why there are so many changes? The paper answered from 3 perspective ways: physical environment, social environment, and spiritual needs. All of the three lead to the fundamental changes in a modern classroom instruction in China under the context of globalization. At last, the paper presents suggestions to optimize the ecology of tertiary education in China.

For the wind power grid voltage control problem, this paper proposed a reactive power and voltage control strategy by coordinate the wind farm reactive power source. Considering wind internal loss and the machine voltage deviation, established a optimal control model and a objective function, using the improved particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm to solve the function, the control strategy can reduce the wind internal loss and stabilize the voltage of the machine on the basis of meet the requirements of PCC voltage. The example simulation proved the effectiveness and economy of the control strategy.

Improper design of grasslands highway curve is an important cause of accident, which research on is not mature. Drivers are the main body of grasslands highway traffic man-machine environment system. The paper aims at four sections of highway curve, using frequency domain analysis and grey correlation analysis method to study the relationship between driver’s HFnorm, LH/HF and the highway curves. Results indicate that it can not distinguish the effects of driver's sympathetic nerve, vagus nerve and the balance between them caused by different curves in statistical terms. In the monotonous landscape grasslands, increasing some curves of different radii appropriately in highway alignment design can relieve driver’s fatigue to a certain extent. Diversification of grasslands highway curve has a less influence on parasympathetic nerve of young drivers with long driving experience than that of old drivers with long driving experience. To ensure the driver’s autonomic nerve activity being at a reasonable state, it is more perfect to design grasslands highway horizontal and vertical curves combined with driver’s LF/HF indexes, and profile grade with driver’s HFnorm and LH/HF indexes. The results can offer part of theoretical support for thorough study on humanity of grasslands highway alignment.

In recent years, oil spill happens in river frequently, which has serious impact on the ecological environment and human health. So it is very important to conduct research on the pollution control technologies of oil spill in the river water. This paper analyzes the domestic and overseas existing oil spill pollution control technologies and puts forward the method combining oil recycling machine and oil dispersant to deal with the pollution caused by oil spill in Changqing Oilfield. Through the comparison, the turntable oil recycling machine and the SC-Y17 oil dispersant are finally selected. According to the experiment, we find that temperature has a great influence on the effect of oil dispersant and measures should be taken to improve the property to make it can adapt to the requirements of the low temperature environment.

On the basic of multiple populations of immune algorithm and clonal selectionalgorithm, the purpose of this paper is to further improve the detectionefficiency and reducing the false alarm rate. This paper uses the kddcup99 dataset as the experimental data set, and chooses four types of attack data groupof experiment data set as initial population of multiple populations of clonalselection algorithm, through the algorithm to create the optimal model. Basedon the principle of normal data larger than the abnormal data, in turn,experimental data set matched with the normal data set and the optimal model bythe improved R matching algorithm. The results of this paper show that thedetection rate increased significantly

Structural strain is one of the important parameters of representing structural health condition. Fiber-optic strain sensors have a number of inherent advantages, such as high sensitivity to external environment, small size, light weight, resistance to electromagnetic interference, ability for absolute measurement, superior stability, easy multiplexing and compatibility of being embedded in structures, etc.. In this paper, a novel strain monitoring method using optical fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensor has been applied to the urban bridge cluster monitoring system, the principle, design and application in the structural health monitoring system are described, two years of normal operation has shown that this kind of strain monitoring and control method is feasible and useful.

The stress response of fracture trauma section has certain inertia and pure lag, conventional PID control can not obtain optimal stress control accuracy. In allusion to this problem, this paper proposes using fuzzy adaptive PID control, aims at the optimal physiological stimulation stress (Jorgensen curve) in the course of fracture healing, conducts real-time control to the fracture trauma section stress. According to the established fracture trauma system model, the fuzzy self-adaptive PID controller has been designed, and conducts simulation research on real-time stress control in the Matlab/Simulink simulation environment. The simulation results show that the stress control accuracy of fuzzy self-adaptive PID control is obviously better than that of the classical PID control and classical fuzzy control, which can effectively control the stress of trauma section in fracture healing, to promote bone repair and bone growth towards the optimal level, and then to ensure the speed and quality of fracture healing.

This paper reports a review on the computational (finite element) software for creep damage analysis. Firstly, it summarizes the current state of how to obtain such computational capability then it concludes with a preference of in-house software. It further reviews the validation practice. Finally, it completes with an outlines of the approach to be used in the developing in-house FE software.

This paper mainly focuses on applying graphical method to figure out the working space of the new five joint folding arm supported pumper based on ADAMS. Firstly, discrete the included angle α between the third and the forth arm support, pick out several special points, work out the changing curve of the included angle β in the region of [0,180°] between the forth and the fifth arm support, and then get the plane track of the motion of spray gun by superposition of those curves and finally take the effect of turn angles of rotary tables into consideration, figure out the three-dimensional working space track of the spray gun by the superposition of plane track curves in the region of [0,360°].

In this paper, the authors analysed the impact of machine breakdowns in job shop scheduling problem with parallel machines. A mathematical model with the objective of minimizing the weighted value of makespan and early due date was established. An improved ant colony dynamic scheduling algorithm combined with elite strategy and max-min ant mechanism was designed. Simulation experiments were designed and numerical results verified the superiority of the proposed approach.

One of difficultest problem is to find these important features (namely, effective features) for intrusion detection system (IDS). In order to resolve the problem, a method is presented in the paper. The so-called important features are these features in which much information for IDS is provided. The information provided by a feature is measured by mean-squared error (namely, variance) of the feature. The correlativity between two features is measured by covariance. If the covariance is equal to zero, the two features are non-correlative. On condition that covariance is equal to zero, the new feature making the variance maximum is gained. The new feature is called first important features searched in the paper. In the same approach, the second, third … important features are gained. Tests show that the method developed in the article and IDS based on the important features sought in the method are useful and available.

The key of wavelet image threshold de-noising is the choice of the threshold function and the threshold value. To overcome the shortcomings of constant deviation existing between estimated wavelet coefficients and decomposition coefficients in the soft threshold function and discontinuity of the hard threshold function, a new threshold function based on wavelet shrinkage in image de-noising is presented in this paper. Threshold values of images with different edges and texture degrees are fine-tuned when the threshold value is set. Furthermore, a self-adaption optimal threshold which is fit to all scale levels is designed based on features of multiscale and multiresolution of wavelet transform. Simulation results show that the proposed methods are efficient to reduce the noise while preserving the detail information of the image.

Today, many organizations have realized an important of pre-development process in order to compete with competitor through drastically introduce new product in the market. In view of that, understanding critical factors that contribute to successful pre-development process implementation is becoming the more important. However, most of past studies were conducted in large organization, very little has been done in small and medium enterprise (SMEs). SMEs have certain limitation in terms of their financial, human, technical, and resources that could hinder their progress towards implementing pre-development process. This paper reviews and analyses CSFs developed by previous authors in order to propose a set of CSFs which were thought to be critical for SMEs. After that the questionnaire developed in this study will be analysis using factors analysis and reliability test in order to examine construct validity and reliability. An initial draft of the questionnaire was developed based on the literature. The questionnaire was pre-tested by academicians and industry practitioners. After that the questionnaire was piloted at 55 food and beverage manufacturing SMEs to check its reliability by using Cronbach’s alpha value. In addition, principle component analysis was carried out to test the construct validity. All the factors in the survey instrument had a Cronbach’s alpha coefficient of more than 0.7 which may be considered satisfactory. Through factor analysis, all KMO values were found above acceptable value of 0.50. All Bartlett’s Test in this analysis was found to be significant. Therefore the instrument is valid and reliable and considered as satisfactory. Nine CSFs, which are believed suitable for SMEs have been proposed in this paper. Through systematic identification and validation, it is hope that the set of CSFs could be used as guides for SMEs to implement pre-development process successfully.

The optimized design and layout of diverse flood-discharge devices are of great importance for improving the security and reliability of the dams in hydro-power engineering and minimizing their impacts on the regional ecological environment in environmental engineering. In this paper, various kinds of surface and mid-level outlets configurations are compared under multiple operational conditions for the Baihetan hydro-power project. In addition, both the time-averaged and the instantaneous fluctuation impact-pressure distributions in the plunge pool under typical working conditions are measured and investigated in order to study the reasonability of different flood-discharge layout plans. Moreover, the complex hydrodynamic environment and the spatial evolution of time-averaged flow fields along the downstream river are surveyed and further analyzed. The results could serve as the foundation of selecting the optimal flood-discharge and energy-dissipation design, and, more generally, references for the regional ecological environment assessment for Jinsha River after the construction of Baihetan dam.

The 2D spectrum estimation based on uniform linear array is studied in this paper. MUSIC method is firstly introduced into array signal processing to realize the frequency and angle joint estimation. And the modified MUSIC method is then applied for two dim array signal processing to fulfill joint parameters estimation of coherent signal sources. The use of aluminium alloys rose in the last decade, as its specific mechanical properties allow a reduction of mass as for example in automotive. Moreover aluminium, due to its high corrosion resistance, is a very important material class in plant construction, where it is used for pipes or container till 250 °C. Aluminium can be welded with different technologies. Nowadays TIG and MIG are mainly used for example in plant construction or in mechanical engineering. Laser beam welding is a widely established technology in automotive. The advantage is the high energy concentration, which leads to a high welding speed and a narrow heat affected zone. Plasma welding is applied when joining aluminium with alternating current, as an easy removal of the oxide layer in the surface of the weld pool is possible. Plasma-Powder-Arc-Welding (PPAW) method has been developed from Plasma Transferred Arc (PTA) weld surfacing and Plasma Arc Welding (PAW) methods by combining a small PAW torch (PAW is traditionally performed with wire as filler material) with powder filler material feeding as used in PTA-equipment. The coupling leads to a better mechanisation of the welding process as the consumable is fed directly through the welding torch. In this paper investigations on aluminium sheets (£ 2 mm) AA5xxx and AA6xxx using different powder materials are reported. The influence of the processing parameters and conditions on the process reliability, when welding with industrial robots butt and corner welds is investigated. Conventional PPAW of aluminium is performed with AlSi12 filler material. A post processing of the joint, as for example anodising in order to improve corrosion resistance, leads to a very different optical aspect, as the colouration of the weld seam after anodising differs from the base material. Thanks to a correct choice of filler material it is possible to reduce the colour differences between base materials/heat affected zone and bead, so that the weldment can be set for high quality optical applications, too.

Web Service matchmaking ensured the availability of the discovered service, is a critical issue for Web Service discovery. In this paper we proposed a Semantic Inner Product based Web Service Matchmaking method (SIP-WSM). SIP-WSM merged the structural and semantic information into the Semantic Inner Product of element in WSDL document to realize a loosely structured matchmaking on semantic level. Experiment result shows that SIP-WSM performs better.

Mobilization production is an effective model to respond to emergency situation, which can organize all kinds of production resources and enlarge production capacity in short time. The design of mobilization production plan needs numerous data and to be revised repeatedly. Therefore, it is very difficult for the traditional design approach to work out right results and forecast the performance of mobilization production plan. A parametric simulation modeling approach is presented in this paper to solve those problems. The approach separates the control logic from modeling elements through creating simulation database, typical model base and control logic base. A model generator is built to automatically create the finial simulation model based on those kinds of bases. The simulation software of AutoMod is applied to realize the modeling process above. Finally, a case study is presented to illustrate the application of the proposed approach.

The problem of a piezoelectric screw dislocation emitted from a blunt crack is dealt with in this paper. For an arbitrary distribution of the residual dislocation, the series-form solutions are derived. The results show that the force acting on the dislocation decreases with the value of the dielectric constant within the crack increasing. And the increase of the dielectric constant within the crack helps dislocation emission effectively.

In this paper, (Ba,Ti)-doped lanthanum silicate nano-sized powders have been synthesized via microwave assisted sol-gel auto-combustion route by using TEOS and lanthanum nitrate as the starting materials, citric acid and glycol as chelators. Both the phase compositions and morphologies of the obtained powders have been characterized. The results indicated that: the synthesized nano powders were characterized as fluffy aggregates with the particle size ranging from 50 to 100nm. As the doping contents of Ba increased, the crystalline sizes decreased and the aggregation were deteriorated, while the particle size decreased from 120nm to 80nm and the aggregation between particles were halted as the doping contents of Ti increased.

This paper briefly reports on the improved properties and bettered applications of some piezoelectric ceramics (i. e. S-PZT, etc.) of ferro/piezoelectric community by means of bettering their technological process links, especial superfine grinding of powder of raw materials, and sintering technique of piezoelectric ceramics in them. These piezoelectric ceramic materials have obtained the better effect in their newly and widely applied aspects, such as, acoustoelectric transducing; electrical to mechanical to electrical transducing; acoustooptic effect; electrooptic technique, and, piezoelectric ceramics for high voltage generators, ignition and detonation purposes, and some original applications (e.g., combining the electrorheological fluids) etc.. As far as appropriate measure of the improving sintering and other technique processes in present work is concerned, they also have reference value to electronic ceramics of having similar manufacturing technological process, such as capacitor ceramics, resistance ceramics, magnetic ceramics, and oxide ceramic superconducting materials, etc..

In this paper, the degradation of Salix psammophila is used to make the polyurethane elastomer and study on the process involving changes in molecules with SPM. Compared with the pure polyurethane, it can be concluded that the polymerization of particles′ size, height and measurement have got bigger visibly. But the cured particles change nothing and retain the natural polymer’s linear permutation. And this polyurethane elastomer′s fracture profile is brittle.

For the high and strict quality requirement in the manufacturing process of nuclear power parts, this paper is based on the combination of Statistical Process Control technology and the ERP quality management and control the production quality based on the control chart. PowerBuilder 9.0 and SQL Server2000 were used to design and develop the system while PowerBuilder 9.0 as front-end development tool and SQL Server2000 as back-end DBMS respectively. Firstly, collect the quality data of the production process (some important processes). Then, analysis these data and form control chart. Real-time monitor production process by the control charting to ensure the process is stability. Organic combination of SPC and ERP to improve and control the quality, not only enrich the analytical data of SPC, but also make up the ERP data to analysis and control quality data.

There are many tropical forest resources in Xishuangbanna area; it is a very important status in China. But because a large number of rubber plantations are expanding as far as possible and the areas of urban construction land are increasing, the areas of tropical forest are decreasing rapidly, which lead to serious fragmentation. In the paper, we choose the typical area of Xishuangbanna area as the research area to study the vegetation change trajectory using ETM and SPOT images acquired on different time. On the base of data pretreatment, two aspects researches were carried out. On the one hand, spectral information and NDVI information of each type of vegetation were analyzed to classify the ETM and SPOT images using the method of decision tree respectively. By classification post-processing, we could get the ways of the vegetation type conversion. On the other hand, ETM and SPOT PAN Images were integrated by the PCA to acquire the information of vegetation change including vegetation gain or loss. Finally, comprehensive information on two aspects of the vegetation changes was analyzed to acquire the vegetation change trajectory from 2000 to 2007 in the Xishuangbannan area. The result showed vegetation conversions that changed from one type to another type were frequent. A larger proportion of other type vegetation was transformed to rubber plantations.

Tensegrity structures are of interest to architecture and engineering as a practical means to explore lightweight and rapidly deployable modular structures that have a high degree of geometric freedom and formal potency. The notion of tensegrity structures with 3D ‘compressed’ components is accreted by authors in 2009 [1]. This extended class of tensegrity overcomes some of the difficulties of typically ones by providing increased rigidity and more controlled structural behaviour. These two characteristics make 3D compression member tensegrity structures more suitable for practical use in building instant stand up structures. In this paper, the Authors introduce a method to create instant built structures with 3D Compression Members including the modules creation, digital form finding and assembling procedures. Exmple of a speculative design for a footbridge and a high rise building is demonstrated.

Displacement is traditionally deemed to be equivalent to deformation. However, displacement is not exactly deformation, for example, the tip of a workpiece illustrates big displacement, but, it caused by the deformation of main body. In this paper, theory of active and passive deformation is proposed for the evaluation of the deformation of workpiece during heat treatment process and the corresponding algorithm was established. The deformation consists of active and passive deformation; the former is the actual deformation, while the latter is caused by the deformation of other areas. This algorithm was applied to the deformation analysis of a hydraulic turbine blade which is a large thin-walled workpiece. And the real deformation area of the blade is found.

Ball lock punches with non-circular sections, as a cutting tool in carbide dies, are widely used in car manufacturing industries. In this paper a simple method to produce non-circular cutting punches is presented. From this point of view, first of all, all the methods are analyzed and among them jig grinding as the best one is introduced. In continuation, the attachments of this method like grinding tool selection, mechanical attachments to CNC grinding machine is analyzed. Finally, the simple Visual Software to create motion codes is programmed.

The influence of incident beams polarization degree on the SPR phase sensor is theoretically and experimentally studied in this paper. The results indicate that the decrease of the polarization degree will lead to the phase difference curves jump decrease near the resonance angle for the ellipsometry method. Besides, the lower the polarization degree, the smaller the jump, which can also lead to reduced sensitivity of the SPR phase sensor. For example, the sensitivity with the polarization degree of 0.9 is 90% that of the polarization degree of 1.

Microwave heating technology is a cost-effective alternative way for heating and curing of used in polymer processing of various alternate materials. The work presented in this paper addresses the attempts made by the authors to study the glass transition temperature and curing of materials such as casting resins R2512, R2515 and laminating resin GPR 2516 in combination with two hardeners ADH 2403 and ADH 2409. The magnetron microwave generator used in this research is operating at a frequency of 2.45 GHz with a hollow rectangular waveguide. During this investigation it has been noted that microwave heated mould materials resulted with higher glass transition temperatures and better microstructure. It also noted that Microwave curing resulted in a shorter curing time to reach the maximum percentage cure. From this study it can be concluded that microwave technology can be efficiently and effectively used to cure new generation alternate polymer materials for manufacture of injection moulds in a rapid and efficient manner. Microwave curing resulted in a shorter curing time to reach the maximum percentage cure.

SOL (stand-off layer) damping treatment is the most effective method to improve the damping characteristics of the base structure compared with unconstrained and constrained layer damping treatment. In this case, the viscoelastic layer is sandwiched between the SOL and the constraining layer. During vibration, the SOL acts as a strain magnifier which magnifies the shear strain in the viscoelastic layer by increasing the distance between the viscoelastic layer and the neutral axis of the base structure thus dissipates more vibration energy. The equations of motion root in kinematic equations, constitutive equations and equilibrium equations of force and moment, and constitute one variable (lateral deflection) with order differential equation and two variables (axial deflections of the base beam and the constraining layer) with order differential equation of motion. Together with the boundary conditions, the transfer function method and the finite element method are adopted to analyze the damping characteristics of the composite structure. In distributed function method, the equations are transferred to state space form. In finite element method, the lateral deflection is interpolated by Hermite interpolation function and the axial deflections of the base layer and the constraining layer are interpolated by Lagrange interpolation function. At last, the predictions of the two analytical methods are validated against the commercial software ANSYS. Close agreements are found among the three methods. To achieve the expected effect, the SOL must have high shear stiffness and low bending stiffness so it does not significantly influence the flexural rigidity of the base structure but does not absorb the shear stress desired to be passed on to the viscoelastic layer. This paper is focus the application of SOL damping treatment on cantilever beam model, but it is essential to note that the model can be extended to complex structures such as plates and shells. We can select the slotted SOL damping treatment which could effectively avoid the increase in bending stiffness but also maintain high shear stiffness as the substitute.

In this paper, a composite ZSM-5/MCM-48 material prepared by two step crystallization method has been characterized by XRD, nitrogen sorption, SEM and TEM. The activity and selectivity for the aromatization of methanol on ZSM-5/MCM-48 catalyst were much higher than these on H-ZSM-5, which may attribute to enhance the mass transfer properties and reduced diffusional limitations.

Expectation Maximization Algorithm and the Exact Inversion Formula are two mathematical methods that have been developed for various computational applications, such as in medical imaging, nuclear industries, econometric and sociological studies, as well as chemical engineering industries. These image reconstruction methods are usually used to create the SPECT scan images. However, most of the improvement and development of the images are made by using a medical phantom, such as the human brain phantom. Here, in this paper the reconstruction of images by both algorithms are made by using a numerical phantom of laboratory scale bubble columns due to its wide application in the chemical reaction engineering studies. The results for both algorithms are compared, evaluated and discussed.

The assembly force in a proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) stack affects the characteristics of the porosity and electrical conductivity. Generally, the stack is assembled at room temperature while it’s operated at about 80 °Cor even higher. As a result, the assembly pressure can’t keep constant due to thermal expansion. This paper focuses on the contact pressure between membrane electrode assembly (MEA) and bipolar plates in real operations. A three-dimensional finite element (FE) model for the assembly process is established with coupled thermal-mechanical effects. The discipline of contact pressure under thermal-mechanical effect is investigated. A single cell stack is fabricated in house for the analysis of contact pressures on gas diffusion layer at different temperatures. The results show that as the temperature increases, contact pressure increases due to thermal expansion. It indicates that the influence of thermal expansion due to temperature variation should be taken into consideration for the design of the stack assembly process.

According to China's current energy present situation, the use of renewable energy, saving energy and reducing consumption has become the energy industry development should follow the basic principles. Electric boiler-ground source heat pump system as one kind of building energy saving technology, mainly in soil source heat pump renewable energy utilization. In this paper the boilers and soil source heat pump matching design and operation model research, from energy efficiency, economic and technical analysis, environmental benefit analysis into consideration, and concludes that the electric boiler-ground source heat pump system has the obvious energy saving and environmental benefits.

It is difficult in finite element model(FEM) updating, because the essence is a mechanical anti-question solving. In the paper, the suppositional material method is utilized to model the FEM of a mirror frame system, and the required updating parameters are defined. The functions between the natural frequency and the updating parameters are established based on the response surface method. Based on the response surface model and the modal experiment results, the sum of absolute value of relative errors between the results of experiments and simulations is defined as the optimization objective, four required updating are identified automatically. The first three natural frequencies of updated mirror frame system are better accordant with the experiment results, which proves the method correct and reliable.

In addition, give the results and discussion of the whole experiments.

This paper proposes a method based on vector calculation of flux density to evaluate the specific load capacity (SLC) of radial hybrid magnetic bearing (RHMB). The vector sum of the flux densities generated by the permanent magnet and the control current is calculated in this method, and then the functional expression of the SLC is built up via the flux densities. The influence of outer rotor diameter, fraction of circumferential rotor surface covered by poles and the length of the air gap are analyzed. It turns out that the SLC decreases with the maximum force of the bearing, and increases first and then decreases with the increase of pole area and length of the air gap. The maximum attainable SLC for RHMB of all sizes does not vary substantially from 23:1. The results of the analysis provide basis for the prediction of volume and mass for the RHMB in application.

This paper discusses the ecological city ’ s basic connotation, necessity, current situation and existing problems, then sums up the practical measures of the ecological city construction.

Little attention has been paid to the nano-TiO2as corrosion inhibitor before. In this paper, Myristic acid-modified nano-TiO2(MA-TiO2) were synthesized by Myristic acid and tetrabutyl titanate via the sol-gel method, and it was characterized by IR and TEM. MA-TiO2was dispersed in oil, and used as a corrosion inhibitor. From the Tafel plots and EIS spectra, we can know that the values of the current densities decreased by the addition of MA-TiO2. Because of the MA-TiO2formed a deposition layer in the surface of 45#carbon steel panels, the current density of the the base oil with MA-TiO2is much smaller than the base oil. The inhibition efficiency was over 90% with added 5 wt % TiO2.

This paper illustrates the internal force calculation of the railway steel truss girder under the action of lateral load q by using the finite element method for truss segment. Load q is distributed with partition coefficients a1, a2 respectively on the top and bottom longitudinal bracing in conventional way and calculated as planar articulate. When two forces calculated respectively by using the spatial analysis and planar structure method are equal, lateral force distribution coefficient a1, a2 can be obtained. In the end of this paper we take examples of simple through beam of 48m, 64m, 80m, 144m, 192m, continuous through beam of 2×64m,3×64m, dual continuous deck beam of 2×64m and dual simple through beam of 64m and get the partition coefficient of the floor system plane, 0.77, and the other plane is 0.39.

In this paper, a new method based on modal analysis and CPF method devoting to designing of generation adjusting plan which can alleviate stressful voltage condition considering energy saving is proposed. The voltage stability condition has relation with the generation and load distribution modes, usually only adjustment of load distribution modes has been noticed when there is a need to alleviate stressful voltage condition. Noticing that properly modification of the generation mode under stressful voltage stability condition can also reduce the power loss of power system and enlarge the voltage stability margin, a fast generation adjusting strategy designing algorithm is proposed. In the mean time, coal consumption of each generator is also considered. Participation elements is employed in this method to select the generators which are effective in adjusting process, continuous power flow calculation algorithm is used to trace the variation of power loss in power system. The simulation result on IEEE 39 system show that the method proposed by this paper can modify the voltage stability condition and enlarge stability margin to certain extent.

In the process of high sulfur gas field development, the sulfur will separate out from the mixed gas when the pressure near wellbore area drops to a critical pressure of H2S. This will reduce the reservoir porosity greatly and decrease the gas well productivity as well. This paper discusses the characteristics of pressure transient testing plots when sulfur deposition occurs based on the redial composite reservoir model. And introduce an approach to determine the sulfur deposition radius near the wellbore with pressure transient testing interpretation in high sulfur gas reservoir. The method has been applied in some high sulfur gas field in eastern Sichuan Basin. The result shows that the method is simple and practical.

Marine biofouling on the surface of ship hull causes the hydrodynamic drag, fuel increase, and higher costs. In this case antifouling paint is often used to protect the submerged surface from marine organisms. In traditional antifouling paints, toxic biocides have been banned due to their severe environmental pollution. To develop novel environmental benign antifouling agents has been our pursuit, and among them, active substances from marine organism for antifouling application are our research focus. In the paper, a natural material in halobios was isolated from a kind of algae Ulva pertusa, which is the most common green alga. The antifouling activities of their extracts were screened by bioassays with two kinds of fouling organisms, diatom and mussel. The crude extract of ethyl acetate was found to be most active against diatom. Silica gel column chromatography (SGCC) and high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) were used to further isolate the extract of ethyl acetate. In the SGCC extraction, four elution bands were collected, and minimum inhibitory concentrations (MIC) against diatom were determined. Among the four bands, the lowest MIC is 0.7 mg/mL, related to the band YC-EA. The YC-EA band was separated into four parts, and the second part (EE2) showed an inhibitive effect on the settlement of diatom and mussel. The natural product of EE2 can be characterized by a coupled liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS). Results demonstrated that there are antifouling active substances among extracts of Ulva pertusa. Compounds would be a potentially natural antifouling material, resulting in higher standards of environmental safety with outstanding antifouling performance.

The purpose of this paper is to review the existing waste management practices, regulatory and institutional framework and technologies that are being employed currently for waste management in Sri Lanka in order to understand the magnitude of non-hazardous and hazardous waste problems and how to avoid these problems. This study is mainly based on information collected from literature review covering both municipal solid waste management and hazardous waste management. Sri Lanka has well-developed legislative and well-organized institutional framework with environmental related policies, strategies and guidelines on waste management. Technologies and methods used for waste management are well accepted, but innovative technologies and strategies have to be introduced to streamline and uplift the existing waste management practices. This study also revealed that there is a high potential in private sector involvement in waste management. Considering all these aspects, a detailed comprehensive technical review and potential technology development are necessary to deal with all categories of wastes generated in Sri Lanka.

This paper examines the bearing capacity and stability of a catenary axis uniform cross-section multi-span stone arch bridge with solid spandrels after strengthening and widening, in the light of the Code for Design of Highway Masonry Bridges and Culverts (JTG D61-2005) published by the Ministry of Communications of the People's Republic of China. Taking the West Ulanhot Large Bridge built in cold area of Inner Mongolia in 1960s as an example, the effect of dead load, live load and temperature variation after and before strengthening as well as multi-arch action were considered. Through calculating the bearing capacity and stability of stone multiple arch bridge, compared with the results of loading test and follow-up survey on operation condition for many years, the safety and effectiveness of strengthening scheme are evaluated.

A currency crisis is typically a kind of rare event, but it hurts sustainable economic development when it occurs. A novel method of wavelet-based support vector machine (SVM) is proposed to predict financial crisis events for early-warning purposes in this paper. In the proposed method, currency exchange rate, a typical currency indicator that usually reflects economic fluctuations, is first chosen. Then a wavelet decomposition algorithm is applied to the currency exchange rate series. Using the wavelet decomposition procedure, some details and features of the currency exchange rate series, with different scales, can be obtained. Using these details and features, a wavelet-based SVM learning paradigm is used to predict future currency crisis events, based upon some historical data. For illustration purpose, the proposed wavelet-based SVM learning paradigm is applied to exchange rate data of two Asian countries to evaluate the state of currency crisis. Experimental results reveal that the proposed wavelet-based SVM learning paradigm can significantly improve the generalization performance relative to some popular forecasting methods.

Activated carbons to be used as electrode in electrochemical double-layer capacitors were fabricated using amphiphilic carbonaceous material (ACM) as precursor. To study the significance of functional groups and microcrystalline of the precursor in preparing AC, we applied pre-carbonization upon the ACM under different conditions to control these two parameters in this paper. FTIR and XPS spectra showed functional groups on the precursors decreased as the increase of pre-carbonization temperature. After carbonization at 800 °C, the growth of graphitic microcrystallites was noticeable. Porous structure parameters of final ACs inferred that the functional groups on the precursors have a more significant effect than microcrystalline size on formation of mesopores during activation process not only for its role as active sites but also the homogeneous activation profited from the solubility of samples in alkaline solutions. The sample AC0 with almost half mesopores showed the best electrochemical behavior with a specific gravimetric capacitance of 255 F/g at current density of 1000mA/g and kept rectangular shape cyclic voltammetry curve even at scan rate high as 400 mV/s.

The compressive strength of the cementitious materials doubly with alkaline slag and fly ash are investigated in this paper. The optimum mixing way and ratio of weight were found. The hydration properties of cement binders with alkaline slag and fly ash are studied using XRD and SEM. The result shows that alkaline slag can stimulate the activity of fly ash, increase the hydration velocity of clinker mineral and improve the second hydration of fly ash.

This paper examines the effects of cyclic bending on the deformation and failure of layers that are relevant to flexible organic solar cells (with Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) substrates and Poly-3-hexylthiophene: [6,6]-phenyl-C61-butyric acid methyl ester (P3HT:PCBM) active layers). The deformation and cracking mechanisms are elucidated along with the stresses and crack driving forces associated with the bending of flexible organic solar cells. The changes in the optical properties (transmittance) of the individual layers and multilayers are then explored for layers/multilayers deformed to flexural strains and stresses that are computed using finite element models. The implications of the results are then discussed for the design of flexible organic solar cells.

The bridges are vital structures for the transport infrastructure; it is a fact that, in the last decades, composite bridges became a well-liked solution in many European countries as a cost-effective and aesthetic alternative to concrete bridges. Their competitiveness depends on several circumstances such as site conditions, local costs of material and staff and the contractors experience. Beside the classical solution, the new ones with efficient design and construction improve and consolidate the market position of the steel construction and steel producing industry. These bridge solutions combine many important aspects: reduced costs, fast and simple erection, durability and robustness, low maintenance costs and an appealing aesthetical aspect. Another feature is the robustness of composite bridges. The robustness of a structure has to be defined as being the capacity of the system to keep its structural integrity for any kind of action that may occur during its service life. The present tendency in composite bridges consists in simplifying the structure as much as possible. Continuous shear connection using a cut steel strip is a solution for composite beams. With the introduction of the composite dowel the possibility is given to develop new construction methods for bridges. The paper will include interesting aspects regarding the dimensioning of the structure and technological features and also aspects related to the efficiency, robustness and fatigue behavior of the joints with composite dowels in bridges. The behavior of the dowels has a theoretical background based on laboratory investigations. The Romanian railway and highway infrastructure is presently involved in a large operation of renewal and modernization. The solution was recently introduced in Romania for three highway bridges of medium spans.

The prediction of residual subsidence is the fundament of stability evaluation of buildings foundation in the abandoned mine goaf, so how to get the residual subsidence with high precision is significant to reclaim the goaf for buildings. In this paper, a novel prediction model named wavelet support vector machines (WT-SVM) is proposed to forecast residual subsidence. Aiming at the stochastic fluctuation of the subsidence series, the measured data of residual subsidence were separated into components, namely, trend, oscillating sequence and stochastic signal, via wavelet multi-resolution analysis; then, the prediction model was established based on SVM regression algorithm, respectively, and the sum of the total corresponding prediction values were regarded as the final results of the residual subsidence. The predicting results of WT-SVM, SVM and BP neural network (BP-NN) were compared by a case study. The conclusions are as follows: WT-SVM model is obviously superior to other models in terms of the aspects of prediction precision, step and stability, which indicates the feasibility and effectivity of WT-SVM in predicting residual subsidence of the abandoned mine goaf.

In the paper, taking the particles suspension for filtered object, the effect of the long fiber bundles bulk density on filtration efficiency was studied through the filtration experiments with the designed experimental equipment. And combining with the filtering model of long fiber bundle filter to do fluid analysis, the result show that, for the filtering velocity is 72m / h, in the filtration efficiency, filtration cycle, backwashing and other aspects of comprehensive performance of long fiber high efficient filter are best when the packed density is 73kg/m3.

Some examples were presented here for practical uses, which can be applied in dusty and complicated surroundings.

In this paper, a new micro-motion ISAR imaging algorithm is proposed, which achieve high cross range resolution by using the changes of azimuth angle caused by micro-motion. Before Wigner-Ville transformation to eliminate the cross-term interference, the echoes of the same range cell are decomposed. Comparing to traditional the Wigner-Ville imaging algorithm and Range-Doppler algorithm, this new algorithm in this paper has better imaging precision and no cross-term interference is existed. At last, the effectivity of the proposed algorithm is demonstrated by the simulated results.

In this paper, according to the different maize disease images having different shape features，eight multi-fractal spectrum values were extracted as shape characteristic parameters of maize diseases, and then they were used to index on image data base. We applied learning vector quantization（LVQ）neural network to simple training，classfication and recognition. The method for recognition of maize disease can reach a higher recognition rate.

For further development and building a solid foundation of industrial Internet of things, a wireless communication card (WCC) based on UWB used in industrial Internet of Things (IoT) is designed in the paper. The implementations of WCC are proposed and critical problem on software design is solved. It successfully solves the problem of communication with IO card. At the same time, it provides upgrade program form industrial control systems to industrial Internet of Things.

Large-scale switched networks based on hierarchical architecture put forward higher requirements for the quality of service. This paper analyzes the advantages, disadvantages and the application environment of the traditional QoS architecture based on business according to the second layer and the third layer of the OSI reference model. Then a complementary strategy model integrating Differentiated service model with Integrated service model is designed to enhance the QoS of a large-scale switched network. Simulation results prove that the model can improve the networks QoS in many aspects such as transmission delay, packet loss rate, delay jitter and network throughput.

Generally, there is a high background noise and long reverberation time and poor speech intelligibility in exhibition space due to its big crowd and often commercial promotional activities so that communication is very hard, commercial activities broadcasting system is also difficult to ensure that customers can clearly hear the propaganda content. In this paper, through measured background noise of the new exhibition center in Chengdu, we found the acoustic problem in exhibition space, then we did simulation analysis in some exhibition building and took some acoustical process to get a good sound field.

The research of cutting force and vibration has been gaining significant attention to improve machining efficiency and tool life in processing metals. In this paper, the plunge milling system is reduced to 3-DOF vibration system, and dynamical theoretical model and instantaneous undeformed chip thickness models are established based on dividing cutter tooth into finite number of small differential elements in the radial direction and discrete time domain. Based on regenerative chatter theory, the cutting force and vibration can be simulated by numerical algorithm. Compared the simulation results with experiments data, the milling force and vibration have a good agreement, which testify the correction of those models

With the rapid growth and wide application of Internet, everyday there are many of information generated and the existence of a large amount of information makes it hardly to mining the wanted information. The recommendation algorithm is the process to alleviative the problem. Collaborative filtering algorithm is one successful personalized recommendation technology, and is widely used in many fields. But traditional collaborative filtering algorithm has the problem of sparsity, which will influence the efficiency of prediction. In this paper, a collaborative filtering recommendation algorithm based on bipartite graph is proposed. The algorithm takes users, items and tags into account, and also studies the degree of tags which may affect the similarity of users. The collaborative filtering recommendation algorithm based on bipartite graph can alleviate the sparsity problem in the electronic commerce recommender systems.

Long span bridges, as cable-stayed and suspension bridges, have gained much popularity in recent decades for their structural shape, efficient use of materials and other optimal solution. A new phase is starting with main span lengths going over thousands of meter. As a matter of fact, small size substructures are required, the development of efficient construction techniques are growing on and faster progress in the FEM and design are evident. Ever since the dramatic collapse of the first examples of such long span structures, as the Tacoma Narrows Bridge in 1940, much attention has been given to the dynamic behavior of these structures. In this paper a moving load analysis performed on a cable stayed high speed railway bridge is presented together with a fatigue analysis of the cable stays, discussed according to the Italian code verification procedure.
