Paper industry produces large amounts of sludge with about 65wt% moisture content. Due to its complex composition, the charge of traditional disposal method is high and easy to bring about secondary pollution. In this paper, the influences of temperature, oxidation coefficient and residence time on the performance of supercritical water oxidation (SCWO) of paper mill sludge were investigated. The results show that SCWO can almost completely eliminate organics in sludge and obtain transparent liquid products meeting relative national standards at 550°C, 5min with an oxidation coefficient of 3.0. However, during this process, TN changes to NH3-N, so NH3-N in liquid products increases with operation parameters, indicating the recalcitrant nature of NH3-N, and which needs further treatment.

The combustion of paper mill sludge and bituminous coal in air was analyzed using a thermogravimetric instrument. TG and DTG curves for the blends lies between that of the individual fuels, and the main combustion characteristics of blends depended on individual fuels and followed the weighted average. As the blending ratio of paper mill sludge was increased from 10% to 90%, the ignite temperature (Ti) decreased from 529.6°C. to 275.6°C., and residual weight increased from 19.28% to 47.39%. The TG profiles of sample were almost the same at different heating rates, however there was a big difference between the DTG profiles. The maximum weight loss rate of sample increased obviously with the increment of heating rate. This work contributes to the comprehensive understanding of paper mill sludge and bituminous coal combustion and development of co-combustion technology.

This research were examined the characteristics chemical and physicalof paper mulberry fiber and also developed the spinning processes of paper mulberry yarn to make the fabric by weaving and knitting. The chemical composition of paper mulberry fiber was approximately 72.5% cellulose, while hemi-cellulose, lignin, pectin, and water-soluble were 17, 2.6, 2.3, and 5.6%, respectively. The characteristics and physical properties of paper mulberry fabric were also investigated.

Paper pulp molding products meet the product-protecting requirements and operating requirements through all kinds of structural forms in the application of product packaging, fixation and product buffering shockproof. Paper pulp molding products structural design influences the buffering performance of paper pulp molding products and packaging requirements of the products, therefore influences the packaging structure, processing production, mold design and processing method of paper pulp molding products.

Low density printing paper was widely used in printing best-seller at present. Besides of high bulk, good stiffness, soft color, it also had some advantages, such as reducing user’s load, protecting eyes, extending the storage time etc. Quality index of domestic low density printing paper was lower than foreign index. The gap mainly expressed on tensile index specially. This study used Aspen BECMP as main pulp, as a result of its higher strength, lower cost and other advantages comparing with PRC-APMP. Here we discussed three pulps ratio to make low density printing paper. The results of experiment indicated that using Aspen BECMP was able to make low density printing paper by adding certain amount chemistry pulp. Moreover, the best bulk value can up to 2.45cm3/g, and the tensile index was 36.08Nm/g.

The purpose of this resarch was investigated the air-oil temperature field distribution under air-oil lubrication and oil lublubrication, meanwhile also study the air-oil lubrication effect under different air velocity inlet the bearing cavities of the high-speed paper machine dryer section. Base on the CFD theory, the temperature field of CARB bearing outer ring and the velocity field of the bearing cavities were simulated by the FLUENT software.Result show that air-oil lubricatin can reach the same cooling effect is contras with oil lubrication in the same heat production by roller; the best air-velocity value of air-oil lubrication system is obtain for the change of temperature and pressure in bearing cavities. It is confirm that the air-oil lubrication is viable in the high-speed paper machine dryer section.

The physical structure and chemical properties of coating layer have an important influence on transferring and setting of the printing ink. In this study, the effect of pigment on coating layer structure and surface properties was investigated. The surface topography was explored using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM). The findings indicated that the pigment affected the pore size, depth and distribution of the coated paper surface. The conclusions were drawn that coating could improve coating surface topography and calcium carbonate pigment compared with kaolin pigment was not good to the paper surface properties, which resulted in high roughness, low paper gloss, high ink absorption and low paper surface efficiency.

The performances of three kinds of water-based pigment inks were compared and studied, which include self-made ink, original printing ink and compatible ink. Art paper, matte paper and white card paper were used as the substrates. Testing the contact angle of ink droplets, the spreading, wetting, and drying rate of inks were investigated. The color density and CIE L*a*b* values of the printed samples were measured, to evaluate the hue error and color gamut. The water resistance was studied with corresponding experiments. The result indicates: self-made water-based pigment ink has the smallest contact angle on coated paper, showing a faster drying rate. Its color gamut is similar to the original printing ink on art paper, and the hue error is low. Through the water resistance test, the color density measured on art paper and matte paper had no changes, without color dissolving and color fading, showing good water resistance applicability.

Carbon fiber paper was coated with multiple layers coating composed by conductive and magnetic fillers. The electromagnetic shielding and conductive properties of the coating were investigated. The effluencing factors such as the ratio of conductive and magnetic fillers, the composition of magnetic fillers, the contrast of coating method, the structure of shielding layer were assessed according with effectiveness. The results showed the best component for the coating layer was: conductive substrate, conductive coating layer and magnetic coating layer sequently. The compound of magnetic fillers with differenet electromagnetic interaction mechanism would produce a complementary magnetic loss, and display a high absorption in broader frequency band. The shielding effectiveness of multi-layer coated carbon fiber paper at 1.5 GHz was shown up to 45 dB.

Fluorescent whitening agent is relatively small dosage in the coating, but it has great influence on the properties of the coating and ink-jet printing qualities. With the increase of fluorescent whitening agent dosage, the PH of the coating rose but the viscosity was hardly to change. The brightness of coated ink-jet printing paper and color density of the printing image firstly presented the trend of increasing then decreasing. What’s more, when the brightness of the coated paper achieved to the maximum, color density and contact angle properties were the largest. Chromatic aberration property of the image reduced from 1.87 to 1.75, when the addition of fluorescent whitening agent rose from 0.1% to 0.5%. While the dosage was rose to 0.9%, chromatic aberration increased to 2.15. The gloss of coated paper decreased with the dosage of fluorescent whitening agent increasing. In sum, fluorescent whitening agent can enhance the brightness of the coated paper as well as the printing properties. The results show that the best brightness and printing qualities of coated ink-jet printing paper are obtained, when the fluorescent whitening agent is 0.5%( relative to pigment).

It is very important to measure paper fiber density and equivalent diameter for pulp suspension as solid-liquid two-phase flow in fluid dynamics study. There are some kinds of ways to measure fiber density，but not be suit for pulp fiber density because of their limitations. By using kajaaniFS300 fiber analyzer provided by Mesto ltd company to compare and measure all kinds of fiber length, fiber coarseness, weight average fiber length can more accurately show the actual length of fiber. The results shows that it is apparently more appropriate to calculate fiber density by using fiber coarseness, weight-average fiber length and weight-average fiber width, and fiber equivalent diameter should also be calculated according to the same weight-average fiber length and weight-average fiber width.

A proprietary in situ chemical vapor deposition (CVD) process was developed to grow a layer of pyrocarbon on carbon paper preform for proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFC). The carbon paper preform is continuously manufactured by dry method. The characteristics of the carbon paper such as surface morphology, polarized light characteristics, and cross-section morphology were characterized using electron microscope, polarized light microscope, respectively. Fuel cell performance of the carbon paper was evaluated using single cell with hydrogen/air at various relative humidity (RH) conditions. The carbon paper with in situ growth of pyrocarbon showed significant improvement in lowering in-plane electrical resistance as well as fuel cell performance at dry condition. The carbon paper as seen under scanning electron microscope showed excellent surface morphology with pyrocarbon connecting carbon fibers tightly by CVD process.

Nano titanium dioxide particles were synthesized by drolysis of TiCl4 through the phase thransfer and pH of the system is adjusted by Na2CO3 At the same time, the particles were characterized by the Transmission Electronic Microscope(TEM) and X-Ray Diffraction(XRD).As the result, it is shown that the TiCl4 solution was transformed from n-octyl alcohol to deionized water phase and reacted with the deionized water at 55°C, the precursors of nano-TiO2—Ti(OH)4 was dried for 6 hours under vacuum at 70°C,then calcined 3 hours in muffle furnace at 400°C.At last, the TiO2 nanoparticles which is uniform distribution, weak agglomeration was synthesized. In addition, wastewater in paper mill treatment with TiO2 nanoparticles was studied by experiment. It is shown that suspended substance and COD in wastewater were brought dwon largely. The mechenism that wastewater was treated is disscussed.

Steel slag, a kind ofindustrial residues, is generated in the process of steel-making. Paper sludgeis the final material which origins from the treatment of liquid waste. Allthese resulted in a serious pollution of environment, how to achieve thecoordinate development among enterprise, environment and society become apressing matter of the moment. Based on this, Circular economy becomenecessary. Based on circular economy, the two kinds of industrial wastes weremixed to manufacture useful materials through carbonation in this research. Therequired raw materials were mixed by mortar mixer at the specified mixingratio. Then the mixture was transferred to a stainless steel mould formanufacturing of rectangular composite specimens. Only in this way, It is toshift from the paper maunfacturing and ironmaking and steelmaking industrywhich is over-consumption of energy and natural resources and very seriousenvironmental pollution to the industry which is less pollution and thedevelopment of multi-part cycle.

A newly devised process using micro-electrochemical machining (MECE) is described as a recycling module in the current study. The purpose is the precise removal of In2O3SnO2 thin-film nanostructures from optical PET diaphragm surfaces for digital-paper surface. In the current experiment it was found that a large rotational diameter (Dc) for the cathode with a small gap width between the anode and the PET diaphragm surfaces was found to remove the In2O3SnO2 rapidly. A small edge radius of the cathode, or a short arc length of the anode, reduces the time taken for In2O3SnO2 removal. A high feed rate of the PET and adequate electrical power results in fast machining. Pulsed direct current improves dregs discharge and this is an advantage with a fast feed. A high electrode rotational speed also corresponds to faster removal of the In2O3SnO2 nanostructures. The development of the proposed precision production design is based on both technical and economic considerations.

Our presentation develops the study of cement mortars manufactured with melamine waste, either in the form of powder or cellulose paper, taken from the industrial production of particle boards, characterizing all of their properties and comparing them with traditional cement mortars. The objective is to determine in what way the addition of melamine powder and melamine paper will modify traditional mortar, once these materials have been subjected to a polymerization process under pressure and under increased temperature, in order to assess the possibility of using these new materials for applications in the construction industry. The behaviour of mortar in the fresh state is studied, determining the variations produced with the addition of melamine powder and melamine paper on the workability and the on-site use of these mortars. Likewise, their mechanical properties under flexion, compression, and adherence to a ceramic surface are studied and compared with those obtained from the reference mortar. Water absorption by capillary action and vapour permeability are also studied, in order to understand the interaction of the polymerized melamine in the capillary network of the mortar. Dosages were prepared for a reference mortar and a further two series of mortars with different quantities of melamine powder and melamine paper, together with cement, sand and water. In this first phase, the use of additives in the mixtures was not considered. The process of selecting the materials and the dosage criteria of the mixtures are subsequently described. The results of the study show that the use of powder melamine and paper cellulose melamine can be used to manufacture mortars with properties that are equivalent to traditional mortars, although further studies with greater precision will be needed on the contribution of the melamine polymerization process to the internal structural cohesion of the mortar.

Reinforcing subgarde in pavement systems has always been an issue. This study focuses on effect of paper inclusion on the modulus of elasticity of subgrade material. Paper was used for this investigation. Paper contents and aspect ratio have been changed during these tests. The paper percentage varied from 0 % (for unreinforced samples) to 30%. Clay was used as sub grade material. Unconfined compression tests were carried out to investigate behaviour of the composite under different condition. The paper reinforcment length and paper reinforcment content found to play important rule on the modulus of elasticity of paper reinforced samples. Furthermore it was observed that ductility of sample increased by paper inclusion.

Offset paper properties have great influence on the quality of print matter. Eleven offset paper samples were printed by IGT printability tester, then the density and L*a*b values of printed samples were measured. The relationship between paper properties and optical density or color gamut of paper printed was studied. The results show that main density increases with the increased ink quantity before the main density reaches saturation, the saturation density becomes greater with increased ink absorbency. When the smoothness is larger, lower ink quantity is needed for reaching saturation density, and larger color gamut is obtained. This study will provide references for the paper making and printing enterprises.

It analysises the performance advantages of the green packaging materials made by synthetic paper and the feasibility that it replaces the materials made by paper and plastic, it elaborate the raw material ratio of synthetic paper material and production process, and a study on the mechanical properties of synthetic paper honeycomb paperboard was been done, it provides a theoretical basis to drive the developmental application of green packaging materials made by synthesis paper.

The paper honeycomb is a strain-rate-sensitive material. It is significant to predict the mechanical properties of paper hoenycomb at different strain rate for optimizing packaging design. According to the Cowper-Symonds equation, the influence of the strain rate on the paper honeycomb was studied, and the characterization parameters were found by parameter fitting. It provides a reference for optimizing design of paper honeycomb.

The residual contaminants in paper-plastic food packaging materials can migrate into both surface and inside of food, and consequently harm consumer’s health. Due to this fact, the safety of food packaging materials has attracted concerns from all over world. In this study, the residual contaminants were extracted by ethanol from paper-plastic food packaging materials under ultrasonic condition and different temperatures firstly, then the extractives were concentrated by rotary evaporator, and finally the concentrated contaminants were characterized by means of Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) detection. The results showed that the following contaminants are detected in the paper-plastic food packaging materials: plasticizer including dibutyl phthalate (DBP) and di-2-ethylhexyl phthalate (DEHP); antioxidants including 2,6-Di-tert-butyl-p-benzoquinone and 2,6-Di-tert-butyl-4-methylphenol (BHT), and solvents in printing ink production including n-Hexadecane and n-Heptadecane. Upon the test results, the conclusion is that more residual contaminants can be detected under high temperatures. This study is helpful for quality control of paper-plastic food packaging materials and has built basic foundation for future migration research.

To study deeply ink penetration condition inside the paper, an ink permeability model on the basis of Kubelka-Munk theory is built up in the paper, and infer out the formula of ink penetration depth, consisting of paper thickness and various brightness. And then the test value and calculation value of ink penetration depth are compared. The study results show that the two values are almost the same, so the state of ink penetration depth can be effectively estimated just by paper brightness.

The aim of this paper is to present a finite element method to predict buckling characteristics of paper honeycomb sandwich panels with composite skins under dynamic axial compression via ANSYS/LS-DYNA. First of all, some problems of the conventional method using honeycomb plate theory, sandwich laminboard theory and equivalent panel theory were pointed out. In order to develop an effective predicting method, by assuming appropriate periodic boundary condition on the edges, a simplified finite element model on hexagonal structure of a unit cell for sandwich panels was developed utilizing the 3D finite element method. The effective Young's modulus of the cellular wall was obtained from the result of the test on the honeycomb core. Several useful conclusions are drawn about the axial crushing of honeycomb sandwich composites and unit cell and can be used to guide the design of composite structures. The paper further attempts to explain numerical results are well consistent with the corresponding experimental ones.

Paper is the main print material, whose performance is a factor that effects the printing’s dot gain which is bad to image clarity and color reproduction. In the paper, Yule-Nielsen neugebauer spectral modal is analyzed , and the relation between paper’s spectral reflectance and the printing’s dot gain is discussed. By experiments, the paper’s spectral reflectance is adopted as correction index, which can reduce the dot gain value of the light color patch , and in the same printing conditions the dot gain is effected by the paper’s spectral reflectance, ink’s type, dot area percentage and wavelengths. The research has a certain significance for controlling printing quality and reducing the producing cost.

To prove the indentation quality of packaging products, the indentation depth and the bottom die width were changed to study the effect of the indentation on the indentation quality and make sure the best indentation depth with HANATEK indentation tester for 20kinds of paper. The relationship between the performance of paper and the best indentation depth is analyzed by the method of linear regression. The result shows that the deeper the indentation depth is, the bigger the folding angle is. The folding angle of steel wire and paper fibers in parallel rows is bigger than that in vertical rows. The deflection and longitudinal tensile strength of paper have notable effect on the indentation depth, transverse tensile strength and tightness are poor and the folding endurance has no remarkable influence.Printing packing profession in our country has made significant progress with the rapid growth of economy and the rapid expansion of international trade. The postpress technology plays a key role to the quality of printing packing and the die cutting indentation is the important technique of production. The die cutting indentation makes the print artistic and suitable , it suits all kinds of print surface finishing process and is widely applied in book cover, trademark, label, as well as carton. So how the quality of the die cutting indentation has directly effect on the market image. However, the indentation processing basically depends on the experience of technical staff in the factory at present. To study the relationship between the performance of paper and the indentation condition can provide certain scientific basis for the choice of indentation process.

Bending resistance of single honeycomb paper-core under axial dynamic load has been analyzed to meet the need of honeycomb paperboard produce. First, the models were built after buckling theory analysis. Dynamic characteristics of compressive process were analyzed in the FEA software. It was indicated that: When the height of model was lower than a certain value, the process was divided into four parts: linear elastic phase, elastic-plasticity phase, plasticity collapse phase and densification phase. However, when the height of model was above than the certain value, the model was easy to bend in the intermediate region. Some results such as force and shearing stress had been gotten. At last, the compressive process was verified by experiment, which was bigger value due to air and glue water existed in honeycomb core.

As the only renewable energy which can be converted into liquid fuels, biomass has developed various technologies of energy utilization. In order to adjust the syngas composition, increase the ratio of H2/CO and reduce CO2 content, this paper conducted biomass gasification experiment in an entrained flow bed on CaO sorption. The paper studied influence factors like the gasification temperature, ratio of CaO/B and gasification parameters, such as ratio of H2/CO, cold gas efficiency, cold gas yield or tar content in syngas. The result showed that raising gasification temperature or increasing added content of CaO which were beneficial to the improvement of H2 content. A maximum H2 output with a concentration of 62.7% and H2/CO ratio of 3.19 was achieved at CaO/C=1, H2O/B=0.3 and T=1100°C, meanwhile the cold gas efficiency was 86.07%, the cold gas yield reached 1.2Nm3/kg biomass, and the tar content was dropped to 314.6mg/Nm3.

The objective of this experiment was to investigate the relationship between drying and ink absorption using laser scanning confocal microscopy (LSCM). Fluorescent ink was used to observe and characterize ink penetration and distribution by LSCM. Three-dimensional images of ink penetration were obtained by reconstructing all XY plane images. Reconstructed images were used to describe ink absorption in coated paper by LSCM. The results implied that it was reliable and effective using LSCM to characterize the ink penetration depth and distribution uniformity. This method could not damage the specimen and did not need fluorescent dye to stain the specimen, which decreased the errors by hand operation. The results indicated that drying temperature affected ink penetration depth and distribution evenness. Higher and lower drying temperature could not contribute to ink absorption uniformity. With the drying temperature increasing, ink penetration depth in coated paper increased.

In this paper, we studied the different content of aramid fiber, aramid pulp, carbon fiber, high silica fiber, mullite fiber, alumina fiber's effect on EPDM inhibitor material. The result show that aramid fiber can significantly improve the ablation resistance of thermal insulation layer, when the content of aramid fiber up to 6.7%,the inhibitor material's ablating rate get the minimum value 0.04mm/s. Aramid pulp can improve ablation resistance of thermal insulation layer, but its dispersion in insulation material is difficult. Others inorganic fiber can't lower the ablating rate as much as aramid fiber, it mainly because of the brittleness of inorganic fiber, during the dispersion process, most of fiber had been triturated, so those fiber can't decrease the liner ablation rate of the inhibitor.

Nowadays the traditional dyeing wastewater treatments based on flocculation-biochemical technology become more difficult than before. The study in this paper aim was it to probe how adding rare earths (REs) into iron-carbon micro-electrolysis process to advance dyeing wastewater degradation. Firstly, the principle was discussed. Then the experimental methods were stated and it followed by exploring effect of iron powder size on the dye decolorization rate. Next were design of the micro electrolysis orthogonal experiments and discussion of influences of related factors on waste water treatment. The experimental results show that besides common iron powder particle size and the processing time, the factors that have great influence on dyeing wastewater treatment are Ce4+, pH, La3+ and iron/carbon ratio. The sequence of factors influence on wastewater micro-electrolysis treatment is Ce4+ > pH > La3+ > iron/carbon ratio. When pH is 6, COD removal rate arrives at maximum 89%, however when the pH is in the case of too high or too low, the effect of sewage degradation is not good.

The electrode material has the very important influence to the microbial fuel cell. The different electrode materials were studied for producing the electricity performance to MFC by the activated sludge as the substrate. The results indicated that the anode of graphite pole was 0.63 mW/cm2 of the area power density. The carbon paper was 60 (0.50mW/cm2). Carbon paper 90 was 0.23mW/cm2. Although having the biggest area power density, the general trend of the graphite pole is much lower than others and production of the electricity was not good. Even though the maximum of area power density of graphite pole, it might be the reason for increasing nutritive compound and elevation of temperature. The carbon paper 90 produce the area power density is the steadiest among three poles and its output voltage is a quite stable and low. MFC is excellent under carbon paper 90. The area power density had strong fluctuating scope, the power density is big and the overall value is high under carbon paper 60.

Calcium sulfate is an important inorganic chemical products which is widely used in construction, pharmaceutical and food industries. Especially, calcium sulfate whisker with fibrous structure developed in recent years is further used in rubber, coating, plastic, adhesives, textile, papermaking, and many other industries due to its superior performance and characteristics of environmental protection and nontoxic.The paper reviewed the preparation technology of calcium sulfate according to the different raw materials, especially for industrial waste (by-product).

In order to make better utilization of coal tailings (low quality production after coal preparation) as the resources, the pyrolysis characteristics and product distributions during co-pyrolysis of coal tailings together with biomass at different ratio (20%, 40%, 60% and 80%) were determined in thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and a fixed bed reactor in this paper. Coal tailings (TC) selected was provided by Hexi coal in Shanxi province, and pine branch wastes (PBW) were used as biomass samples. The result of TGA experiments indicates that the temperature corresponding to the maximum pyrolysis rate exhibited a significant difference between TC and PBW, and the value of the calculated TGA and DTG curves is similar to the experimental ones. In a fixed bed experiments within a temperature range of 25-900°C, gas product yields of co-pyrolysis of TC and PBW are higher than those of the sum of them individually, while tar and char yields were on the contrary. It shows some synergetic effect exists during co-pyrolysis process of TC and PBW blends, and the maximum synergy exhibits with a PBW blending ratio of 40%. CO yield increases up to 30% at 400°C and CH4yield increases up to 11.33% at 700°C compared with the calculated value. These findings can potentially help to understand and predict the behavior of coal tailings/biomass blends in practical systems.

Calculated carbon dioxide emission from WPT, using equations derived from the UNFCC report, found that the average amount of CO2 emitted from the decomposition of WPT annually for 2011-2032 is equivalent to 14.19 million tonnes. The amounts of CO2 that can be sequestered from the manufacture of the potential products were also calculated. Assuming 50% of the annual availability of WPT in Malaysia from year 2011-2032 is converted into products such as plywood/flooring, bio-ethanol from OPT sap, timber, animal feed and micro-crystalline cellulose, GHG emissions would be reduced by 8.11%; 1.95%; 21.35% and 20.50% respectively. The conversion of WPT into biofuel such as fuel pellets and bio-ethanol could provide more impactful effect through indirect and direct carbon offsets from the displacement of fossil fuel use. Up to 48.26 percent CO2 reduction may be achieved.

In this paper report a review on electroluminescent efficiency using a deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) complex as an electron blocking layer (EBL) material in emitting organic light emitting diode (OLED). The resulting called BioLED showed a high luminous efficiency. The DNA-based BioLED was as much more efficient and brighter than their OLED counterparts. It is found the effect of EBL is to increase the device turn-on voltage for OLED structure. This is attributed to the fact that the DNA complex increases the series resistance of the device which is turn reduces the current through the device.

In this paper, the process parameters of graphene during fabrication and transfer are investigated. Cu is utilized as the substrate and chemical vapor deposition are used to obtain graphene. The results show that, the surface condition of the Cu substrate tends to be worse than as-received after a relatively higher temperature (1035°C) annealing and growth process, which lead to bad graphene quality. In addition, pre-treatment of Cu substrate by acetic acid is helpful to reduce the nucleation sites. Reflow process before PMMA etching is an effective method to eliminate the wrinkles formed during transfer. High-quality graphene for optoelectronic applications were obtained based on the optimized fabrication and transfer process.

Biomass has attracted keen interest as a renewable resource and an environmental friendly material that is essential to realize a sustainable world. Lignin as biomass has been long labeled with waste material. But now the innate chemistry of lignin and a phenolic heteropolymer, has allowed it to make inroads into the high value polymer and natural biomass material industries. Supercritical fluids (SCF) have been shown to be a promising technique for future large-scale biofuel and base-chemicals production, especially for depolymerization production from lignin. This paper reviews the research progress of lignin-depolymerization processes, including effects of process parameters, such as reaction time, temperature, pressure and catalyst, product analysis, and reaction mechanism with different supercritical fluids. The problems of depolymerization with supercritical fluid technology and its development direction are also briefly discussed. Compared with conventional lignin production methods, the SCF technology processes of lignin can produce smaller fragments through breakage of the ether linkages and produce larger fragments through cross linking between the reactive fragments, and the depolymerization lignin processes are typically conducted at mild operating conditions, and the monomeric products have a high economic value because the aromatic products can be readily blended into current transportation fuels or used in chemical industry.

Torrefaction was a main pretreatment technology for improving the properties of biomass in order to deal with such problems as dispersed resource,High moisture content, High bulk volume and low heating value. This paper discussed torrefied temperature, time on thermal and infrared spectrum curve effect of Salix baking carbonand analysed DSC curve of Salix torrefied coal. The resultsshowed that the themal value was higher, with the temperature was increasing faster and the timewas longer, Meanwhile, the number of solid oxygencontaining functional groups in the solid product reduced.The significantly decreasing of the oxygen content improved the heat value of solid products.orrefaction was benefit to the improvement of energy property and material characteristicsof biomass and had a positive effect on the quality of biomass material．

Iodine adsorption method is used as a valuation means, the study was carried out on the co-carbonization of coal and biomass by the analysis of Iodine adsorption value. The research results show that the straw and cow dung has important effects on carbonization process; According to change rule of the Ignition loss rate and the iodine adsorption value, the iodine adsorption value of straw-coal co-carbonization product is higher than cow dung; Dashing treatment has significant effects on the iodine adsorption value carbonized product; the catalytic carbonization Biomass is the result of KOH effecting.

Stone coal and two kinds of biomass were respectively mixed and studied during pyrolysis by using thermogravimetric analyzer. The results showed that the main pyrolysis peak temperature of stone coal is the lowest under the mixing ratio of 3:7 during the pyrolysis process. Because of the high content of alkali, corn stalk has better promotion for the coal pyrolysis compared to sawdust.

Biomass is organic material, the second most important source of energy. Biomass is a renewable energy source. Wood biomass is used as source of energy for heating in many regions in Slovakia. It is because of its availability. Wood biomass is an easily accessible and affordable source of energy. At present, thermochemical processes, biochemical processes and physical-chemical processes are used for biomass utilization. In the article a suitable technology for combustion of wood chips is proposed. It consists of five main technological parts: transport of wood chips, silo, combustion boiler, and stack.

The combustion characteristics of corn stalk and low volatile coal were carried out through the thermogravimetric experiments.The heating rates is 40°C/min.We used the Q50.It is found that the combustion processes of corn stalk and the low volatile coal combustion include moisture evaporation,volatile evolution and combustion,char combustion three stages.The main stage of corn stalk is volatile evolution and combustion and the main stage of low volatile coal is char combustion.Compare the TG and DTG curves of the corn stalk and the low volatile coal combustion we find the corn stalk is easy to be ignited and fires quickly at the atmosphere of pure oxygen.The corn stalk weightlessness mainly happens between 120~300°C,the biggest weight loss rate is 252%/min while the low volatile’s is 56%/min.The firing effect of corn stalk is better than the low volatile’s.

Every year billion kilograms of unused feathers result from the poultry industry worldwide, which in effect impose a difficult disposal process to the environment. Chicken feathers are considered as a valuable and renewable keratin protein source, which could be used advantageously in a number of applications as alternatives to feather meal and feather disposal. Although the potential applications of keratin derived from chicken feathers have been investigated, the initial purification phase has not been fully described in the literature. Original chicken feathers contain many biological organisms along with other contaminants after plucking. Unprocessed chicken feathers are considered as potentially hazardous biological materials due to the presence of blood borne pathogens; therefore, the decontamination process is very important. The purpose of this work is to compare the effects of different purification techniques on chicken feathers prior to keratin isolation. These processes include surfactant washing, soxhlet extraction with ethanol, ozone, and sodium chlorite solutions. Thermogravimetric analysis, vibrational spectroscopy, and wide angle X-ray scattering were used to characterise the purified feathers prior to keratin extraction.

To form microbial nanoball, EM active calcium was immobilized on nano-silica carrier consisting of pond sediment, zeolite powder and nanosilica. Through real-time monitoring of pH, dissolved oxygen (DO), chemical oxygen demand (COD) and ammonia nitrogen (NH4+-N) aquaculture wastewater, the purification effects of Microbial nanoSilica Ball on aquaculture wastewater under different mud-water ratio condition were studied. The results showed that the purification effect reached best in 3-6 days for all treatments and was better for mud-water ratio of 1:2.7. In this mud-water ratio, it was indicated that pH was maintained at 7-8.5 which was an optimum value for the aquaculture, the content of DO was increased by 82.16% compared with the initial value and the removal rate of COD and NH4+-N was 57.80% and 54.60% respectively.

In this study, sludge reduction by ultrasound combining anaerobic-anoxic-oxic system (AAO) was developed and examined. Compared with AAO process, 38.07, 46.07 and 50.98% of excess sludge reduction could be obtained by ultrasonic combining AAO system (sludge return ratios of 40%, 60%, and 80%). When the sludge return ratio is 60%, ultrasound combining AAO system can achieve the best sludge reduction effect. Chemical oxygen demand (COD) removal rates of ultrasound combining AAO system were 88.21, 89.77, and 90.31%, respectively. The introduction of sludge disruption by ultrasound pretreatment did not affect the COD removal ability of the AAO system, whereas increased in the COD removal efficiency. This combined biological treatment system could realize sludge reduction and improve nutrient removal efficiencies.

Yangchangwan (YCW) bituminous of Ningxia is a weakly reductive coal, which was characterized with low ash content, low sulfur content, low H/C and ash fusion, but high moisture, oxygen, inertinite and alkaline earth metal contents, also difficult to make slurry. Influence of dispersant kind and dosage on YCW CWS rheological behavior was studied using 8 dispersants. Examination was conducted in the lab. The results show that the dispersant and its dosage not only influence the apparent viscosity but also the rheological behavior of CWS. Methyl naphthalene acid salt formaldehyde condensation(MF) is the best dispersant for YCW bituminous coal and the optimal dosage is 1%. CWS were also prepared using compounded dispersants of sodium lignosulphonate and Methyl naphthalene acid salt of formaldehyde condensation and in order to investigate the slurry ability of CWS with compounded dispersants. The results show that compounded dispersants have a greater impact on the liquidity and stability of CWS, the optimal ratio of two dispersant is 3:7. Slurry technologies of blended coals were also studied in this paper, YCW bituminous coal with lower slurry ability , lower static s stability and poor theological behavior and Dafeng(DF) anthracite coal with good properties of CWS and the better theological behavior. The effect of the ratios of two coals on the static stability and viscidity of CWS was studied. The results show that CWS is better static stability ability and viscidity when the chemical additive quantity is at 1 parts per hundred and the ratio of two coals is 3:7.The effects of coal blending on the features of coal-water slurry are nonadditivity. It can effectively improve the concentration of coal water slurry, for coal which has difficulty in preparing coal-water slurry.

Pyrolytic conversion of sewage sludge to biochar, oil and gas is an environmentally and economically acceptable way comparable to conventional options for sewage sludge disposal. The aim of this paper is to investigate the influence of pyrolysis temperature on production of biochar fraction for agronomic application, oil and gas fractions for energy utilization. Sewage sludge samples collected from an urban sewage treatment plant were pyrolysed in a bench–scale quartz tubular furnace over the temperature range of 300-700°C.The results indicated that the biochar fraction yield decreased, the yields of liquid (oil and water) fraction and gas fraction increased by evaluating the pyrolysis temperature. Concentration of heavy metals and nutrient elements present in biochar varied with pyrolysis temperature, the heating value of oil from liquid fraction fluctuated between 26938.3 and 30757.9kJ/kg, the heating value of gas fraction increased from 4012kJ/Nm3 to 12077 kJ/Nm3 with the increasing pyrolysis temperature.

Through adding keratin additives to coal washing water with SS removal rate as an index, this paper draws a conclusion that the best operation conditions of treatment are: adding feather keratin flocculation additives by 2 g / L to the wastewater of pH value 5～7, treating it at 20～30°C for 30 minutes. The SS removal rate is over 98%，meanwhile COD removal rate can reach 34% under the conditions.
