For the family embarrassment and annoyance brought by the replacement of slippers when someone pays a visit, a cutting paper tape machine for sole coating was designed. Based on the detailed calculation and preliminary drafted general design scheme, the electric motor was chosen, the transmission ratio was distributed reasonably, the structural style and related parameters of worm gear were designed, and the stress strength was checked. Based on these, the three-dimensional model was established, through simply simulation, the scheme was verified and improved, and the parametric design was realized. Thus, one kind of convenient and practical cutting paper tape machine for sole coating is provided for families and high-grade places, which is greatly convenient to visitors.

The measuring body of PRS-2 cigarette paper smoldering rate tester is industrial vision sensors P4E1.3, it could determine and identify the burning of the cigarette paper by using the advanced computer image processing techniques.The vision sensor can detection to 10,000 times per minute when the image resolution is 1.3 million pixels-accurate, it simultaneously monitors the 5 cigarette paper, and can ensure that the scanning frequency of each cigarette paper is not lower than 100 Hz. In the case of deducting the necessary analysis and calculation time, it can guarantee that the timing accuracy is no less than 0.1s. The instrument is able of detecting the serrated depth of the burned cigarette paper line and excludes the misjudgment which caused by human factors,so it could achieve control, data analysis, save and print independently.

At present, in the aquaculture environment, bait casting process of feeding machine is using time quantitative; such feeding way did not consider too much fish feeding law which will cause bait wasting and environmental pollution. An effective way to solve the problem is how to set the feeding amount through observing the fish aggregation. An intelligent bait casting method is proposed in this paper based on the machine vision technology, according to calculate the fish shoal area and shoal ratio in the feeding process. The calculate method of the fish shoal degree and flow chart of the main program is introduced. The feeding quantity is more close to the fishing bait habit. The advantage of using this method is making the bait casting more scientific and reasonable, not only saving the breeding cost, but also reducing the environment pollution.

This paper based on the energy consumption simulation model of chiller system, by analyzing the composition of chiller energy consumption, proposes to compute the best optimal controlling parameters by using simulated annealing algorithm in order to reduce energy consumption. The optimizing process of the best settings of each controllable variable is introduced which use the simulated annealing algorithm in the running chiller system, and the effects of simulated annealing running has been simulated.

Inflatable structures have many potential applications in space collapsible structures, this paper based on the premise of the same exploring features on the Planetary Exploration Device (PED) designs a new type of inflatable and lightweight model of PED. The device structure is designed to be a wheel style, which can be folded together in the transport process and in non-working state. Comparing with traditional devices, the new Wheeled Planetary Exploration Device (CWPED) reduces the space of transporting the exploration equipments and decreases the transport costs, moreover, this device provides convenient conditions for the equipment package of the CWPED, and there are evident advantages in the aspects of handing, solar absorption, volume and quality. This article mainly introduces the preliminary design of the CWPED, and the structural characteristics of the device, the principle of motion control and the design of wheeled body skin material are analyzed.

This paper presents the design of a survey instrument in order to determine the success factors in implementing the end-of-life vehicles (ELVs) management system in Malaysia. Upon reviewing journal articles and research papers previously conducted in automotive recycling, end-of-life vehicles, success factors and green supply chain, a set of preliminary factors was identified. These factors were categorized into seven components, namely the government commitment, stakeholders commitment, resources availability, enforcement and monitoring, education and awareness, market structure and continuous improvement. Thirty items were listed in the questionnaire, where the statements were based on the above said seven factors. Other than that, target respondents and sampling size were also discussed.

This paper discusses the practices associated with Japanese Manufacturing Management (JMM) which can yield a superior competitive advantage in terms of productivity, quality and provide overall successful business performance. To examine the transfer of the best practices of the JMM locally and obtain the impact of the adoption and adaptation of the JMM, an in-depth case study was conducted in a Malaysian automotive company. This paper also discusses the changes in terms of the philosophy and practices undertaken by the automotive company and ascertain the impact of the JMM on its manufacturing and financial performances. The elements of business performance from the viewpoint of manufacturing based on safety, quality, cost and delivery were quantified and examined. All elements were quantified since the first year of the adoption and viewed over time to track the trend of achievement. The results show a positive impact to the automotive plant manufacturing performance. The results of the financial performance also show the profitability of the plant. The revenue has increased up to 92% after the JMM adoption whilst the net profit has increased from 5.33% to 8.15%.

This paper investigates the development process of a CubeSat model structure subsystem for the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). Many universities around the world have participated in similar CubeSat satellite projects. CubeSat satellite enables to design and produce a fully functional satellite at low cost compared to other types of satellites. It gives the engineering students especially the aerospace one, a hands-on education, and learning about how to design their own satellite. This paper will discuss the procedures that can be used to design and test the CubeSat structure subsystem considering design goals and constraints. The analyses will consider the structure static and vibration tests utilizing ANSYS Workbench platform and SolidWorks software and the simulation results will be compared with the experimental test results on the physical model.

This paper represents a two degree of freedom (DoF) robot arm as a plotter system. A pencil tool is used as the end effector of the robotic arm and experimented in drawing alphabets, for example ‘IIUM’. The control mechanism of the prototype is designed using Arduino controller. A user interface is also designed to send necessary commands to the hardware application board using serial communication cable. Through the experimentation, the movement of each joint of the robotic arm is presented in this paper. The result proves the feasibility of the system which could be improved in future research in drawing complex images.

In Malaysia, every year approximately 40000 people suffer from stroke and many of them become immobilized as an after effect. Rehabilitation robotics to assist disabled people has drawn significant attention by the researchers recently. This project also aims to contribute to this field. This paper presents a Shape Memory Alloy (SMA) actuated wearable assistive robotic hand for grasping. The proposed design is compact and sufficiently light to be used as an assistive hand. It is a joint less structure, has the potential because the human skeleton and joint replace the robot’s conventional structure. This design has been implemented on index and thumb fingers to enable grasping. Shape memory alloy springs and bias force mechanism are used for purpose of hand’s flexion and extension. This paper describes the mechatronic design of the wearable hand, experimental study of actuation unit and sensory system. Open loop experiments are conducted to understand the hand characterization and grip force provided by index finger. Current, temperature, extension and contraction of shape memory alloy springs are reported. This mechanism requires approximately 2A current for the SMA to actuate which provides maximum of 1.6N of gripping force. Conducted experiments show promising results that encourage further developments.

Well, sustainable development became an important issue. We need to supply much more cleanable and efficiency energy to meet the environment protecting and unstopping load of power gird increasing. So, smart grid came to our sight.In this paper, first we discuss that electricity is the foundation of modern industry. Second, we put forward the new problems that modern industry brings about, and discuss the necessity of developing smart grid. And then we particularly discuss the rewards that developing intelligent grid, such as solving the energy crisis, changing the running mode of grid, advancing the intelligent life, promoting the electricity client involved in the power market adjusting process and so on, as well as provided the relevant examples. All of these do well to future sustainable development. At last, we sum up the whole paper.

In the new energy power generation process, because it’s difficult to balance the dynamic energy and the system operation cost is high, the paper puts forward the basic structure of the commercial virtual power plant based on BESS system, then discuss the proper run mode of the virtual power plant to maximize the total revenue. On the basis of the electricity price of the Chinese typical areas and the cost of the BESS system, the paper builds the mathematical model of the economic benefits of the virtual power plant based on BESS system. This paper also builds the regulation optimization simulation model of the virtual power plant based on the aim of maximizing the overall profit of the energy supply and demand sides, and calculates the dynamic balance elements and optimization optimal power output value based on optimization algorithm. The simulation results show that using the virtual power plant based on BESS system to peak load shifting and control frequency is feasible in the economy.

In order to solve the problem of carrying out heavy loads up and down stairs for city residents who live in ordinary building without elevators, this paper designs a special small electric vehicle driven by storage battery, which has dual functions of climbing-stairs and driving over roads with a relatively quick speed based on a key mechanism—triple-wheel mechanism. The main structure and work principle of the small electric vehicle are given and analyzed at first. Then the driving speed over roads and the driving tortures of climbing stairs, which are essential data to design the powers of the driving motors, are calculated and analyzed. Finally the finite element analysis of the most fragile part-trident shaped part is analyzed and interpreted with a simulation model of the software—Solidworks. Due to the adequate and detailed calculations and analysis, the small electric vehicle with the dual functions designed by this paper can offer enough abilities to climb stairs with heavy loads and drive over roads with a considerable speed for residents who living in those buildings without elevators.

The smart grid has important strategic significance to lead the development of electric power industry upgrading and enhance the comprehensive benefits on economy, society and environment. Started from power generation, transmission, transformation, distribution and utilization five links of strong and smart grid, combined with the practical situation of China's electrical power system, in line with the value creation paths of demonstration projects in different links, this paper put forward the comprehensive benefit research framework of whole industry chain of strong and smart grid, and the general model for different value of whole industry chain. This paper selected two demonstration projects, “Large-scale clean energy grid connection” and “intelligent electric vehicle power charging and transportation network”, for applied analysis; further the inner logic relationship of value creation was expounded; finally the expectation on further application of the model was explained.

Accurate model of the wind farm is the basis for the analysis of wind power integrating grid. This paper proposed the equivalent P-v(active power-wind speed) model with K-means algorithm based on the measured operating data. An actual wind farm is adopted to verify the effectiveness of the model. The result of error comparative analysis shows that the accuracy of the model is greatly improved with the method proposed in this paper compared with the traditional model.

In order to reduce operation cost and improve transport capacity of China high-speed railway, train dynamic marshalling often need to be implemented between different kinds of China’s high-speed Electric Multiple Units (EMUs). Based on the operation situation of China high-speed railway, this paper analyzes the market demand and feasibility of dynamic marshalling between different kinds of EMUs, and describes the principle how to realize it by using TCN and UIC network communication technology. Some key problems which need to be solved in the process of realizing coupled control between different kinds of EMUs are pointed out, and corresponding suggestions how to solve these problems are proposed as well. Moreover, according to the technical development trend of the EMU, this paper predicts the possibility of using network communication technology based on real-time Ethernet to realize EMU marshalling and coupled control.

Due to construction projects testing requirements work continuously for more than a week or even a month or so, so for a battery-powered portable heat and temperature acquisition system, its power consumption has the constraints. In accordance with the need of the acquisition system of actual engineering, this paper from two aspects of hardware and software to consider heat flux and temperature acquisition system of low power design, specific design ideas and implementation methods is also given in this paper. The test results demonstrate that the sleep state, the actual operating current is 0.59mA. A nominal 1000mAh lithium battery, the case of the sleep wake of five minutes, can work continuously for about 20 days, the case of 10 minutes to wake up dormant, can work continuously for about a month.

Tree-pruning robot can appear tilt problem in the climbing process because of the trunk shape and mechanical mechanism of its climbing legs. According to the robot's tilt problem, this paper guarantees the level of tree-pruning robot using the method of controlling the motor speed at different locations. This paper establishes a three-dimensional virtual prototype model about tree-pruning robot in ADAMS software, design controller in Matlab software, and conduct ADAMS-Matlab co-simulation. The simulation results and experimental prototypes show that the designed control method can effectively overcome the tilt problem in the crawling process.

Against the shortcomings of the live washing artificially, this paper puts forward a system about live washing robot, this system contains hydraulic system, video surveillance system, automatic regulatory system, communication system and motion control system. These subsystems can cooperate to complete live washing tasks. The operator commands manipulator and car from a cabin on the truck via a portable control box. In order to protect the operator, this system takes use of the wireless communication. This robotic system can finish the washing task perfectly instead of human. As for the inverse kinematic about the manipulator, this paper puts forward a new algorithm which is combined geometric method with algebraic method and confirms it’s correctness by simulation.

The paper deals with a new approach in data analysis of a measured mechanical parameter. The classic approach is mainly based on the deterministic statistics that cant cover the whole field of a complete analysis. The stochastic approach, to be used in this paper, offers far more information about the mechanical parameter and can take into account the non-linearity of the signal, eventually, the mechanical parameter itself. Starting from the point of view that, in real life, there is no steady evolution of any parameter, we decide to take into account the importance of the non-linear components of any signal. After e thorough investigation, we hope we could make the difference between the noise, as non-linear components of the measured parameter, and the useful non-linear components (e.g. important shocks, typically met within a vehicles transmission). Using the stochastic modeling procedures, we aimed at issuing comprehensive, accurate and valuable dynamic models of the phenomenon. These models cam be used in a large variety of situations, from describing the process, to evaluating the health of a mechanical system and to controlling a real-time process based on the pre-set models (previously drawing a map of the systems normal behavior and permanently assessing the deviation from it and acting accordingly). The data were measured within the transmission system of a military vehicle. Specifically, we have gathered information about torque and angular speed of different shafts of the driveline. As everybody knows, the power flows within any vehicles transmission in transient modes mainly and it is accompanied by plenty of noise. It is rather challenging to separate (filter) the useful signal form the noise but, on the other hand, it is the only way to achieve useful data. Therefore, a spectral analysis is a must, but not the conventional one, which has its drawbacks, but a multi-spectral one, which is able to insulate the noise. Moreover, starting from the analysis developed with this method, mathematical models, both in discrete and continuos time can be achieved. It is easy to notice that the models that we have achieved are featured by a very good accuracy. We could push the data processing even further, getting generalized models that provide the needs we have mentioned before, with respect to the mapping of a normal (averaged) behavior of a system, to be used in controlling procedures.

This paper presents the results of the project conducted by the authors, which purpose was to build the simulator for teaching the disabled persons driving a car. This paper presents also the functional design requirements established for the project. The structure of the mechatronic system, basing on which the simulator was built, is also presented. It was also described the details of each subsystem of the simulator and its possibilities and the method of its functioning.

The project described in this paper is based on sequential development of a temperature controlled weather condition emulator for testing of concrete samples in different temperature levels at varying period of time. The device can be used to test concrete samples when engineer wants to realize the concrete behaviour under extreme conditions such as cold, very high temperature or drastic drops of temperature incurred in a short period and importantly test for concrete samples during hydration. As an initial phase of the development process, entire system architecture is sub-phased to modular form and hence formulated each module for simulation before realizing of the final fabrication of the actual system. The main objective in this phase is to design the electronic circuit to control the attached thermoelectric Peltier which is the main subject of the heat source temperature controller. Since, mathematical modelling of dynamics of the Peltier systems are not well defined and assured to be highly non-linear in behaviour, controlling of the system is driven to be selected by a fuzzy inference engine. Modelling, analysis and simulation of the system dynamics of the Peltier has already been completed in last phase. Design of electronic controller is detailed in the paper with an experimental performance evaluation plot based on extreme loading conditions of the cooling-heating device. Uncertainty incurred in temperature measurements is also provided with experimental data obtained from the proposed system circuit. Characteristics of the proposed emulator are discussed with given significant constrains. Finally, obtained experimental data from the circuit is satisfied with the expected once therefore, this phase can be concluded for developing an optimized fuzzy controller to control the device as final step of the device.

In this paper, we propose cutting-force-estimation method for a ball-screw-driven system using triple inertia model. In many cases, dual-inertia model is applied to describe the dynamic behavior of the ball-screw-driven system. In this paper, triple-inertia model is applied and cutting force was estimated without additional sensors, such as dynamometer. The cutting force observer is designed, regarding the ball-screw-driven system as two input and three output system. Simulation results indicate that the proposed method enables accurate estimation around the resonance frequencies. Experimental results showed that the proposed method could monitor external force without being interrupted by the inertia forces.Nomenclature

Refer to the characteristics of BVR air combat and multi-target attack for the Fourth Generation Fighters, this paper constructs and computes the model of probability distributions in multi-target kill zone, the model of the best attack path/attack position of multi-target attack. The model of probability distributions in multi-target kill zone considers heading angle and approaching angle of target, distance between fighter and target, maximum off-boresight launching angle and killing angle. The model of the best attack path/attack position considers damage probability to targets by missiles, threat degree to fighter of targets, and threat degree to fighter of residual targets. The paper calculates the simulation data according to the models, analyzes probability distributions in multi-target kill zone of missiles, the best attack path/attack position. The models and simulated results show that the method, which uses kill zone probability model, can improve the damage probability and reduce threat degree from enemy targets.

The choice of evaluating indicator has a most important influence on the performance analysis and optimization of Organic Rankine-cycle (ORC) system. In this paper, the net output power of unit mass of exhaust gas (), the cycle exergy efficiency (), the total waste heat emissions () and the product of exchanger's area and total heat transfer coefficient () are selected as the four key indicators which can reflect the characteristics of ORC system. And then, a comprehensive evaluating indicator of ORC system performance () is obtained according to the theory of multi-objective optimization. Further, a comprehensive evaluation method of ORC system performance based on the multi-objective optimization is put forward in this paper. After that, this method is used to optimize the evaporation temperature which is considered as a key parameter of ORC system performance. According to researches, the results gained by using a single-objective optimization method with only one performance parameter as the indicator, cannot often take a global view of the ORC system performance and sometimes may lead to a deviation. Researches also show that increases firstly and then decreases with the increment of the evaporation temperature, and there exists a value of evaporation temperature to maximize . Through analysis and researches, it can be found that the comprehensive evaluation method of ORC system performance based on the multi-objective optimization provided in this paper gives a synthetic consideration to the requirements from high-efficiency, economy, thermodynamic perfection and environment protection. Moreover, by using this method, the ORC power generation system may be more likely to achieve the best comprehensive performance.

MOTION module of UG NX 8.0 is embedded with powerful ADAMS solver which can integrate modeling, simulation and analysis together, and the mutual transformation of various softwares is no longer required. This paper models the truss structure of a shaper mechanism in UG, and conducts kinematics simulated analysis. And the result is consistent with the result of the classical theoretical calculation, which verifies the reliability of UG NX8.0 MOTION module in the rigid body kinematics analysis. This paper proposes that convenient and rapid information software of advanced manufacturing industry, instead of the traditional complex theoretical calculation method, should be promoted and applied to solve the practical problems of engineering design.

In-Situ combustion is an important transformation mode for heavy oil development, and the key to its success is ignition in the reservoir, On the basis of investigation and research into some related techniques both at home and abroad, this paper presents the development of mobile electric igniter, technical string, down-hole monitoring system, putting-in and putting-out device; the integral outside diameter of the igniter is φ25.4mm; this paper forms the technique of mobile electric ignition for fire flood in vertical hole and introduces the technical principle. The field test results show that the maximum outlet air temperature of the igniter is 527°C when the steam injection rate is 6500Nm3/d; And that realizes high temperature igniting of mobile electric igniter for the first time. This technique will effectively reduce the operation cost of fire flood, and provides technical reserve for separate zone ignition in thick mass oil pool of Liaohe Oilfield.

Virtual Power Plant (VPP) technology can take advantage of interactive communication and energy management system to optimize and coordinate the control of distributed generation, controllable load, energy storage device, so as to integrate them and participate in the energy exchange of the grid and the quote trading of power market. This paper is devoted to study the energy management system in virtual power plant. Under the day-ahead market ,this project puts forward the maximum profit model, analyzes the operation condition of various elements in virtual power plant, and set restrictions for its operation and energy storage; According to the randomness of the energy resources such as wind and light in actual operation as well as the price in power market, the change of power grid load and electricity demand, and the fluctuations in the retail price of electricity, this paper adopts the proposed model of optimal allocation to coordinate and optimize the configuration of the elements in virtual power plant.

This paper investigated a new type of gas distributor with two chambers by CFD software. The distributor has a natural gas inlet and nine nozzle outlets. For the investigation of this project, the mass flow rate of the distributor was analyzed in this paper to provide a way to optimize the structure of distributor. The N-S equations approached with the RNG k-ε turbulence model and the discretization were employed second order upwind. The simulation results will provide a number of useful suggestions and references for the further design.

This paper analyzes the electric inertia simulation method deeply. By analyzing the brake torgue in the braking process, this paper makes a conclusion about the relationship between the moter’s torgue in the braking process and the simulation of inertia. The test uses the method of combining the mechanical simulation and electrical simulation. In this method, it invites the test platform of electric bicycle brake force, and realizes the inertia simulation. On the test platform, the results showed: by using the electric inertia simulation, the performance of the system is obviously better than the one on the test platform which using flywheel groups. This method improves the degree of automation on the test platform.

This paper focus on the features of half power saving in city road lighting LED retrofits , presences a light control and time-lapse switch LED lights control scheme, use photoresistor, 555 time base circuit and CD4060 binary counter, realized the control circuit design. The experimental results show that the proposed scheme in this paper is simple, practical and reliable.

Constellations of small satellites have a promising use in satellite remote sensing or satellite communication. Launching several small satellites at the same time with one vehicle is a good way to keep the budget of the whole project under control. Multi-payload adapter is an important equipment on the launch vehicle to carry those small satellites during the rising phase and shoot them into their own trajectories during the orbiting phase. The paper studies the relations between the demands of small satellites launching and the multi-payload adapter designing. Also the paper illustrates the necessity of putting the multi-payload adapter into a project and the necessity of researching on the multi-payload concurrent experiment.

The method which uses the optimal design method is based on the research of papers[1]~[3] . Through the analysis and calculation, the paper gives the conclusion and drawing of k-φ-d-(γmin) max and k-d-a-b.

Due to the growing demand for fitness ball in current domestic market, and the demand for different size ball is also on the rise. In this paper, a kind of fitness testing institution has been proposed in this paper. The preliminary design and modeling of the agency were conducted in the Solidworks. In order to validate the correctness of the model design, the motion simulation was proceed by the Adamas. From the data obtained by the simulation, we can know the functions of the machine, which can provide data support for the subsequent design.

This paper presents a Monte Carlo-based method used in modeling electrical load occurring from electric vehicle battery charging and assessing its impact on the distribution system in case of an extensive residential use of electric vehicles. The state of charge and starting time are parameters considered stochastic in nature. As such they can be appropriately represented by a standard distribution function. In this paper a case study is demonstrated using a 22-kV distribution network located in an urban service area of the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA). Based on the PEA’s typical daily load profile, a new load profile which includes the effect of electric vehicle charging is developed. The expected impact on the line overload and quality standard of voltage caused by electric vehicle charging can be forecasted. Results of the study are applicable for system planning to accommodate an expansion in the network capacity due to the growth in electric vehicle number.

Aimed at the complexity of thermal steam turbine overhaul, by the use of advanced interactive devices on the visual, do an auditory perception of the virtual environment for something, which is helpful to improve practical operation skills. This paper examines the necessity and superiority of this system applied in education and training. Taking 3-D dynamic simulation system of building as an example, this paper discussed how to utilize the SolidWorks2012 and VRP - SDK to build a virtual training system, realized the combination with virtual reality and education training ,also greatly promoted science and technology progress，equipment of the steam turbine overhaul industry.

Rural dwellings have a big difference in the appearance and envelope. Living form is changing a lot from detached house to the apartment in multi-story apartments. These changes affect building’s energy consumption consisting of heating and cooling. This paper focuses on the impact of the energy consumption affected by different surface volume ratios, simulation analysis showed a general argument of the difference. And for the same house type, this paper also compares the energy-saving effect of different envelop performances, Specific contents are the heat transfer coefficient and shading ways. Simulation results identified that SVR has influence on different types of houses, the energy consumption of row houses can be saved more than 30% compared with detached houses. Envelope performance also affects energy consumption and the national standard is recommended for the energy saving and the comfort.

Considering the shortcoming of low measurement precision of single scout radar in battlefield, this paper advances the scheme of multi scout radar networking. Aiming at the core problem of networking data fusion of multi scout radars, this paper conducts research and advances data fusion algorithm based on polar coordinate system. This paper provides the realization flow of data fusion algorithm and pays more attention to the problem of coordinate conversion, error calculation, weight determination and data synthesis based on weight, and advances solution. Finally, taking five radars networking for example, conducts simulation experiment and result analysis, and the results shows that whether the fusion precision of distance data or the azimuth data all has greater improvement than measurement data.

This paper presents an automatic separating and lifting mechanism with intermittent motion and the incomplete gear mechanism parameter design, and at same time the paper conducts the dynamics analysis by using vector closed equation analysis method. And its structural parameters optimization design is also done based on MATLAB. a parametric model is builded using SolidWorks and the virtual prototype model of four-bar mechanism is established in RecurDyn. Then the data exchange is done in dynamics analysis software RecurDyn, and the dynamics simulation of virtual prototype model is conducted and verified, which will get a better trajectory and achieve the design target. Through the mechanism design the automatic separation and upgrading process will be stable and reliable ,which has some promotional value.

This paper proposes the research significance of mine rescue robot which can assist rescuers to enter into the disaster site, and can use its own merits to explore the environments and to reach the location of the trapped workers quickly. It reduces the danger of accidents, and improves aid efficiency. This paper summarizes the status of mine rescue robot, and compares with commonly used external sensors. Ultrasonic ranging sensors are selected as part of the ranging system. In addition, navigation research for mine robot is the key in this paper. According to the features of robots working environments which is unknown and uncertain, fuzzy logic control, a simple robustness navigation controlling algorithm with fault toleration, is selected to achieve navigation mission. The experimental results show that it achieves the desired effect.

This paper studies the channel exploration problem for the distributed opportunistic spectrum access (D-OSA) system, where multiple secondary users (SUs) sequentially sense multiple licensed channels and utilize one of idle channel. However, channel sensing order can affect the system performance seriously. When using a better sensing order, the SU can find faster a free channel with high quality and the less collisions among SUs can happen. In this paper, we propose a mechanism using reinforcement learning to find dynamically out a sensing order for improving the system performance. In the proposed mechanism, the interactions among SUs are considered. Simulation results are provided to show the effectiveness of the proposed mechanism and the significant improvement of the system performance.

This paper discuss the thematic of public-private economic negotiation in the realization of urban regeneration programs. The Complex Urban Programs (PUC) represent a generation of planning instruments generally in variation to ordinary instruments of general planning (PRG). These instruments found its legitimacy on new forms of concerted planning, in which the objectives are the effectiveness and efficiency of the public administration and the most important point of view are the quality and transparency of the negotiation between public and private. In these circumstances for the purposes of the feasibility, the arguments of urban planning must necessarily be supported by economic-financial considerations resulting from appraisals of the benefits financial and the new real estate values generated by the decision to promote the program in PRG variant. Particular attention must be paid on the modality for consultation between the public government, the owners and the developers when they comparing on mutual convenience as part of the PUC: the negotiation activities is the time during which the public body can capture a portion of land value generated by the choices of modify the PRG. The aim of this paper is the presentation of the economic negotiation between public and private that the Municipality of Reggio Calabria (Italy), with the technical and scientific support of the university laboratory of economic and appraisal evaluation (LaborEst) has promoted in recent years through two PUC. The two Complex Urban Programs are both located in the south of cities of Reggio Calabria (Italy). The paper describes in particular the model for appraisal of extrastandard charged by private entities participating in the two programs. The model developed by both authors is the result of their common research.

In view of the recent problem of serious water waste at school, this paper proposed a kind of distributed water supply system. This system can control the water resource inside school by network build in the local power line. This paper mainly introduced the system structure, hardware constitution, the software process of upper computer between lower computer of such distributed water supply system, and through the test prototype, it completed the experiment, comparison and analysis.The experiment result shows that such water supply system can improve significantly the water saving rate of school, even to 38 percentages, and has excellent application value.

Scientific and reasonable signal control would effectively improve the traffic efficiency and safety of roundabout. In this paper, a simplified signal timing method based on the constraint of left-turn queue length was investigated. Taking ZhuQue Roundabout for example, this paper utilized a simulation model based on VISSIM and adopted evaluation index system of capacity, saturation and average vehicle delay. By comparing the results of before and after the new timing, feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed model has been verified.

Body measurement plays an important role in clothing manufacturing, especially in advanced clothing customization.[The purpose of this paper is not only to offer some approaches to testing the size collected, but also to make sure that the accuracy of measurements are satisfied with clothing made. In this paper, ANOVA and orthogonal experimental are seen as mathematical model to analyze the accuracy of data measured by clothing made. Three factors selected to explore this question are surveyor (factor A), proficiency of work (factor B) and characters of points related to body measurement (factor C).This model can be used to evaluate the different effects on every factor alone, and to find some factors on which have a significant influence. According to the result, both factor B and factor C have significant influence on the accuracy. The creativity in this paper is making use of orthogonal experiment and ANOVA to find and test the factors related to the accuracy.

This paper discussed the possibility of deploying the proposed Variable Geometry Tracked Vehicle (VGTV) in our first robotic based prototype called REC-01. REC-01 is being developed as a miniature scouting and search & rescue all-terrain robotic vehicle. Its comparatively small size and mass limit its power capacity and navigational capabilities for larger obstacles. The VGTV is a unique concept used to overcome these shortcomings. The main part of this paper is to discuss the mechanical efficiency of the tracked systems in some specific field conditions and compare the results with the conventional tracked propulsion. The outcomes of the first prototype are also briefly discussed in this paper.
