Antibacterial photocatalytic therapy (APCT) is one of the most promising non‐antibiotic treatment strategies for biofilm‐infected wounds and inflammation caused by drug‐resistant bacteria. However, it still faces issues such as inadequate single antibacterial capacity and lack of antioxidant capacity. In this study, a Z‐scheme heterojunction (Bi2S3‐X@PDA) is designed using a polydopamine (PDA) shell firmly anchored to the surface of sulfur vacancy‐rich bismuth sulfide nanorods (Bi2S3‐X NRs). Under near‐infrared light and hydrogen peroxide, Bi2S3‐X@PDA significantly improves the photocatalytic efficiency of reactive oxygen species generation and shows a nearly 100% broad‐spectrum antibacterial effect against multiple bacterial strains and bacterial biofilms in vitro. Interestingly, the antioxidant activity of the PDA shell in Bi2S3‐X@PDA remarkably downregulates the expression of pro‐inflammatory factors and promotes macrophage reprogramming toward the proregenerative M2 phenotype. In a mouse wound model of methicillin‐resistant Staphylococcus aureus biofilm infection, Bi2S3‐X@PDA effectively eliminates drug‐resistant bacterial biofilms through APCT/mild photothermal therapy, while reducing inflammation in normal tissues and regulating the immune microenvironment, thereby promoting rapid wound healing. Overall, this light‐controlled treatment strategy, which provides both antibacterial and anti‐inflammatory functions, is a reliable tool for combating biofilm infection and inflammation caused by drug‐resistant bacteria. High‐concentration electrolyte effectively improves the energy density and anti‐freezing property of aqueous micro‐supercapacitors (MSCs), endowing them the opportunity serving as power sources for miniaturized electronics. However, the excessive usage of salt significantly increases the cost of the electrolyte. Herein, a cost‐effective moderate‐concentration hybrid electrolyte is designed by introducing CaCl2 and ethylene glycerol (EG) additives for low‐temperature and high‐voltage MSCs. The results manifest that the introduction of CaCl2 minimizes the number of water molecules with strong hydrogen bonds while the addition of EG can reduce the amount of H2O molecules in the primary solvation shell sheath of Ca2+ ion and strengthen the hydrogen bonds between EG and water molecules, thus endowing the optimal electrolyte with a wide electrochemical stability window of 3.5 V and a freezing point lower than −120 °C. Furthermore, the resulting hybrid MSCs offer a high voltage of 1.6 V, and realize 62% capacitance retention at −40 °C compared to that at room temperature. Moreover, The MSCs can endure 20000 cycles with 98.5% capacitance retention at −40 °C. Lanthanide ions doped in perovskite (LIDP) nanocrystals (NCs) provide an effective way to utilize the emission of lanthanide metals in a solution‐processable way, combining the theoretical photoluminance quantum yield (PLQY) of ≈200%. To utilize advantages, LIDP‐NCs have inspired studies exploring the fundamental physics of energy transfer, including the up‐conversion or down‐conversion process, and the optoelectronic applications of solar cells and white light‐emitting didoes. This review broadens the scope of LIDP nanocrystal matrix semiconductors in electroluminescence devices in the near‐infrared (NIR) range (>900 nm). A research is summarized on the synergistic effect of lanthanide ions and perovskite matrix in the near‐infrared region, and discuss from the perspective of fabrication of lanthanide‐based electroluminescent devices using perovskite materials as the matrix. The multiple optical transitions, bandgap tunability, and quantum‐cutting effect to provide a tutorial on understanding LIDP‐NCs are started. The details of synthesizing LIDP materials and aim to lay the foundation for preparing NIR electroluminescent devices with high efficiency and application value are then illustrated. The scientific issues that limit the performance of LIDP NCs‐based electroluminescent devices and discuss the potential strategies for the future development of LIDP material are focused on. Broadband emissive perovskites are next‐generation materials for solid‐state lighting and radiative detection. However, white‐emitting perovskites are generally synthesized by regulating B/X sites, while not enough attention is paid to the A‐site, which is thought to hardly affect the band‐edge structures and optoelectronic properties. Here, a series of Sb3+‐doped In‐based 0D halide perovskite derivatives are described with various organoammonium cations in A‐sites. Warm‐white light emitting across the visible spectrum (450–850 nm), large Stokes shifts, and high photoluminescence quantum yields are easily tunable by molecularly tailoring A‐site cations. These features enable a light yield up to 60976 Photons/MeV as X‐ray scintillator, and a detection limit of 90 nGyair/s that is ≈60 times lower than the medical requirement. It is proved that A‐site plays a critical role in determining the degree of distortion of polyhedra, which influences the broadband photoluminescence and self‐trapped exciton (STE) dominates the emission process. Moreover, for the first time, via the incorporation of 2,6‐dimethylpiperazine, a mixed A‐site regulating strategy produces a standard white‐light emission, which originates from the blue‐light and yellow‐light related to various STE emission centers. Solid‐state sodium metal batteries (SSMBs) possess superior safety and high energy density over liquid counterparts, and therefore hold great promise for large‐scale energy storage application. In this review, the recent development of the advanced sodium‐based solid‐state electrolytes (SSEs) for high‐performance SSMBs is systematically summarized. First, the fundamental mechanisms and key parameters of SSEs, including ionic conductivity, electrochemical stability and Na+ transference number, are introduced in details, and then various inorganic (Na‐β‐alumina, Na superionic conductors, and sulfides), polymer SSEs (solid polymer SSEs and gel polymer SSEs), and inorganic‐polymer hybrid SSEs are elaborately discussed, emphasizing the unique roles of structure optimization and interface engineering of SSEs for boosting electrochemical performance in SSMBs. Finally, the key challenges and promising prospects of advanced SSEs in terms of interface optimization of inorganic SSEs, molecular design and screening of polymer SSEs, objective evaluation, and multiscale characterizations of SSEs are briefly proposed. The practical application of Zn‐ion batteries (ZIBs) faces several challenges, particularly regarding poor reversibility and the reactivity of water in the electrolytes across a wide temperature range. Herein, this study presents the design of a ternary electrolyte with significant intermolecular interactions based on tetrahydrofurfuryl alcohol (THFA), H2O, and Zn(OTf)2 to address these challenges from −40 to 60 °C. The ether alcohol compound THFA effectively mitigates the side reactions about water, by disrupting and suppressing the reactivity of the dominant water‐based clusters. Through experimental and theoretical investigations, the structural and mechanistic insights of ternary solvation clusters are uncovered. The hydrogen‐bond‐induced interactions of THFA facilitate the participation of OTf− in solvation clusters and bidentate chelation coordination with Zn2+ ensures the formation of lean‐water solvation clusters. Furthermore, the interfacial electrochemistry on the Zn surface is also regulated to exhibit a preferential layer‐by‐layer (0 0 2) oriented deposition with a stable solid electrolyte interface (SEI). As a result, The Zn||VO2 battery using ternary electrolyte maintains a capacity of 237.5 mAh g−1 with an 86.71% retention after 500 cycles at 60 °C and 3 A g−1, while it exhibits stable cycle even at −40 °C over 200 cycles with almost no capacity decrease. The design and fabrication of advanced cathode materials with excellent electrochemical properties to match the Zn anode is crucial for the development of aqueous zinc‐ion batteries (ZIBs). Herein the synthesis of MIL‐88B(V)@rGO composites is reported, in which MIL‐88B(V) nanorods are anchored on reduced graphene oxide (rGO) sheets, as cathode for ZIBs, where the graphene oxide induces the formation of small‐size nanorods instead of typical prism morphology. During the initial charge/discharge process, the cathode undergoes an in situ irreversible transformation from MIL‐88B(V) to amorphous V2O5 that acts as active site for the subsequent Zn2+ insertion/extraction. The hierarchical structure of the composites and the amorphous V2O5 provide abundant channels and active sites for Zn2+ diffusion and adsorption. The density functional theory calculation reveals that the rGO sheets have two functions, i.e., to improve the conductivity and to reduce the Zn2+ migration energy barrier. Consequently, the MIL‐88B(V)@rGO cathode exhibits an ultrahigh reversible capacity of 479.6 mAh g−1 at 50 mA g−1 and good rate performance of 263.6 mAh g−1 at 5000 mA g−1, which are superior to metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) cathodes reported in literature. Flexible conductive materials capable of simulating transparent ocean organisms have garnered interest in underwater motion monitoring and covert communication applications. However, the creation of underwater flexible conductors that possess mechanical robustness, adhesion, and self‐healing properties remains a challenge. Herein, hydrophobic interaction is combined with electrostatic interaction to obtain a solvent‐free transparent poly(ionic liquid) elastomer (PILE) fabricated using soft acrylate monomers and acrylate ionic liquids. The synergy of hydrophobic and electrostatic interactions can eliminate the hydration of water molecules underwater, giving the PILE adjustable fracture strength, good elasticity, high stretchability, high toughness, fatigue resistance, underwater self‐healing ability, underwater adhesion, and ionic conductivity. As a result, the transparent iontronic sensor generated from the PILE can achieve multifunctional sensing and human motion detection with high sensitivity and stability. In particular, the sensor can also transmit information underwater through stretching, pressing, and non‐contact modes, demonstrating its huge potential in underwater flexible iontronic devices. Lanthanide ions (Yb3+ or Er3+) alloying of CsPb(Cl1‐xBrx)3 quantum dots (QDs) to emit approaching 1000 nm show promise in near‐infrared light‐emitting diodes (NIR‐LEDs). High Yb3+ alloying ratio increases the electroluminance efficiency of emission at 990 nm and enables high external quantum efficiency (EQE) of NIR‐LEDs, however, the high alloying ratio also results in inferior material stability and PLQY drop because of Yb3+‐induced nanocrystal precipitation. This study finds that the heavy alloying of Yb3+ ions causes lattice distortion and coherent energy reduction of Yb3+: CsPb(Cl1‐xBrx)3 QDs, induced by two Yb3+ ions replacing three Pb2+, which leads to the collapse of the octahedral structure in ambient conditions. It posits that spontaneous monovalent ion (Na+) alloying can address the trade‐off between material stability and emission intensity. The Na+ occupies the vacancy of Pb2+ ions, relaxing the distortion in the lattice and improving the phase stability of octahedral structure, and this optimized structure in turn allows a higher Yb3+ alloying ratio. Stability measurements show that the Na+/Yb3+ co‐alloyed films show ten‐fold higher material stability and 2.0‐fold emission efficiency related to controls. It reports that as a result Na+/Yb3+ co‐alloyed NIR‐LEDs have an EQE of 6.4% at 990 nm, which is among the highest perovskite NIR‐LEDs beyond 950 nm. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Lithium‐rich layered oxides (LROs) are one class of the most competitive high‐capacity cathode materials due to their anion/cation synergistic redox activity. However, excessive oxidation of the oxygen sublattices can induce serious oxygen loss and structural imbalance. Hence, a near‐surface reconfiguration strategy by fluorinating graphene is proposed to precisely regulate Mn3+/Mn4+ and O2−/(O2)n− redox couples for remarkably stabilizing high‐capacity LROs and realizing the simultaneous reduction of the lattice stress, regulation of the Mn metal at a lower charge state, and construction of 3D Li+ diffusion channels. Combining with a highly conductive graphene‐coating layer, the surface oxygen loss, transition metal dissolution, and electrolyte catalytic decomposition are suppressed. Benefiting from this synergy, the modified LROs disclose higher initial Coulombic efficiency and discharge‐specific capacity and improve cyclability compared with pristine LROs. Further, it is revealed that the F− impact becomes easier for the O sites at the lattice interface of C2/m and R3¯$\bar{3}$m to sufficiently buffer lattice stress. Moreover, lithium ions coupled to the doped F atoms at the lattice interface migrate to the Ni‐rich R3¯$\bar{3}$m lattice sites with lower migration energies. The substrates of conventional flexible perovskite solar cells (FPSCs) are thermoplastic polymer material polyethylene naphthalate (PEN), which will deform during high temperature annealing process. In addition, lead iodide (PbI2) permanently formed and the substrate undergoes reversible deformation from 20 °C to 200 °C and back to 20 °C. Therefore, to balance the substrate supporting capacity and the crystalline quality of narrow band gap α‐phase formamidinium lead iodide (α‐FAPbI3), an annealing process of 120 °C for 30 minutes is determined. Additionally, there will also be a large number of gaps and lattice strain at the perovskite grain boundaries during the annealing process as the FAPbI3 phase transition is accompanied by much lattice shrinkage. As a result, 1,6‐hexanediammonium diiodide (HADI) is chosen to passivate the defects and release the stress of perovskite film. Therefore, a recorded 1.4% extended stretch rate of the flexible film is attained. Finally, the champion PCE of 21.14% under AM 1.5G and 31.52% under 1062 lux is achieved after HADI treatment, accompanied by a better long‐term and mechanical stability. The electrochemical oxygen evolution reaction (OER) is a core electrode reaction for the renewable production of high‐purity hydrogen, carbon‐based fuel, synthetic ammonia, etc. However, the sluggish kinetics of the OER result in a high overpotential and limit the widespread application of OER‐based technologies. Recent studies have shown that bimetallic‐based materials with the synergism of different metal components to regulate the adsorption and dissociation energy of intermediates are promising OER electrocatalyst candidates with a lower cost and energy consumption. In the past two decades, tremendous efforts have been devoted to developing OER applications of bimetallic‐based materials with a focus on compositions, phase, structure, etc., to highlight the synergism of different metal components. However, there is a lack of critical thinking and organized analysis of OER applications with bimetallic‐based materials. This review critically discusses the challenges of developing bimetallic‐based OER materials, summarizes the current optimization strategies to enhance both activity and stability, and highlights the state‐of‐the‐art electrocatalysts for OER. The relationship between the componential/structural features of bimetallic‐based materials and their electrocatalytic properties is presented to form comprehensive electronic and geometric modifications based on thorough analysis of the reported works and discuss future efforts to realize sustainable bimetallic‐based OER applications. Oxygen‐regulated Ni‐based single‐atom catalysts (SACs) show great potential in accelerating the kinetics of electrocatalytic CO2 reduction reaction (CO2RR). However, it remains a challenge to precisely control the coordination environment of NiO moieties and achieve high activity at high overpotentials. Herein, a facile carbonization coupled oxidation strategy is developed to mass produce NiO clusters‐decorated NiNC SACs that exhibit a high Faradaic efficiency of CO (maximum of 96.5%) over a wide potential range (−0.9 to −1.3 V versus reversible hydrogen electrode) and a high turnover frequency for CO production of 10 120 h−1 even at the high overpotential of 1.19 V. Density functional theory calculations reveal that the highly dispersed NiO clusters induce electron delocalization of active sites and reduce the energy barriers for *COOH intermediates formation from CO2, leading to an enhanced reaction kinetics for CO production. Nonuniform ion flux triggers uneven lithium (Li) deposition and continuous dendrite growth, severely restricting the lifetime of Li‐metal batteries (LMBs). Herein, an electronegative poly(pentafluorophenyl acrylate) (PPFPA) polymer brush‐grafted Celgard separator signed as PPFPA‐g‐Celgard is designed to precisely construct one‐dimensionally directed Li+ flux at the nanoscale so as to realize faster ion transport and ultra‐stable Li deposition. The grafting of PPFPA polymer chains is enabled by the simple bio‐inspired engineering of surface‐initiated atom transfer radical polymerization chemistry. Both theoretical and experimental analyses demonstrate an obvious increase by almost two times in Li+ affinity and ion transfer kinetics for PPFPA‐g‐Celgard over the Celgard separator. Reversible and stable Li plating/stripping can be realized by rapidly switching from 0.5 to 6 mA cm‐2. Besides, the Li | PPFPA‐g‐Celgard | LiFePO4 full cell exhibits universal and long‐term cyclability with a capacity retention of 83% over 700 cycles in ether electrolyte and 92.9% for over 300 cycles in carbonate electrolyte as well. This study represents a new direction for the general design of advanced separators with typical surface topochemistry and self‐limited ion transport channels in the application of high‐performance LMBs. Sodium (Na) metal as an anode is one of the ultimate choices for the high‐energy rechargeable batteries in virtue of its intrinsic high theoretical capacity (1166 mAh g−1) and low redox potential (−2.71V vs standard hydrogen electrode (SHE)), as well as its low cost and broad sources. Nevertheless, the dendrite‐related hazards seriously block its practical application. Na dendrite formation mainly emanates from the uncontrolled Na deposition behavior. Therefore, it seems particularly important to employ appropriate strategies towards the homogeneous deposition of Na for the dendrite‐free metal anode. In this review, the challenge of regulating Na homogeneous deposition for dendrite‐free Na anodes is first discussed. Then, recent advances in the strategies of regulating the Na uniform deposition are summarized, including adjusting Na+ flux near the solid‐liquid interface and improving sodiophilicity on the biphase interface. Lastly, perspectives on further research and important factors toward the practical application of high‐energy‐density Na metal batteries are emphasized in detail. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The increasingly stringent requirement in large‐scale energy storage necessitates the development of high‐performance sodium‐ion batteries (SIBs) that can operate under low‐temperature (LT) environment. Although SIBs can achieve good cycling stability and rate performance at room temperature, the sluggish electrochemical reaction kinetics at low temperature remains a great challenge for SIBs. Here, a superior LT SIB composed of 3D porous Na3V2(PO4)3/C (NVP/C‐F) and NaTi2(PO4)3/C foams (NTP/C‐F) is developed. First‐principles calculations reveal that the intrinsic Na+ diffusivity in NASICON‐type NVP and NTP is extremely high (maximum 3.84 × 10−5 for NVP and 2.94 × 10−9 cm2 s−1 for NTP) at –20 °C. In addition, the designed 3D interconnected porous foam structures demonstrate excellent electrolyte absorption ability and Na+ transport performance at low temperature. As a result, under −20 °C, the NVP/CF and NTP/CF electrodes (half‐cell configuration) can attain reversible capacities close to their theoretical values, and are able to be charged and discharged rapidly (20 C) for 1000 cycles. Based on these features, the designed NTP/CF||NVP/CF full cell also displays superb LT kinetics and cycling stability, making a great stride forward in the development of LT SIBs. Constructing artificial solid‐electrolyte interphase (SEI) on the surface of Li metal is an effective approach to improve ionic conductivity of surface SEI and buffer Li dendrite growth of Li metal anode. However, constructing of homogenous ideal artificial SEI is still a great challenge. Here, a mixed lithium‐ion conductive Li2S/Li2Se (denoted as LSSe) protection layer, fabricated by a facile and inexpensive gas–solid reaction, is employed to construct stable surface SEI with high ionic conductivity. The Li2S/Li2Se‐protected Li metal (denoted as LSSe@Li) exhibits a stable dendrite‐free cycling behavior over 900 h with a high lithium stripping/plating capacity of 3 mAh cm−2 at 1.5 mA cm−2 in the symmetrical cell. Compared to bare Li anode, full batteries paired with LiFePO4, sulfur/carbon, and LiNi0.6Co0.2Mn0.2O2 cathodes all present better battery cycling and rate performance when LSSe@Li anode is used. Moreover, Li2Se exhibits a lower lithium‐ion migration energy barrier in comparison with Li2S which is proved by density functional theory calculation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Using synergetic effects of various sodium storage modes and materials to construct high power, high energy, and long cycling flexible sodium anode materials is significant and still challenging. Here, by advantageous functional integration of adsorption‐intercalation‐conversion sodium storage mechanisms, a 3D flexible fiber paper anode with the composition of Nb2O5@hard carbon@MoS2@soft carbon is designed and prepared. Based on the synergetic effects, it exhibits higher specific capacity than pure Nb2O5, with more excellent rate performance (245, 201, 155, 133, and 97 mAh g−1 at the current density of 0.2, 1, 5, 10, and 20 A g−1, respectively) than pure MoS2 as well as admirable long‐term cycling characteristics (≈82% capacity retention after 20 000 cycles at 5 A g−1).
