The aim of this study is to develop a valid and reliable scale determining the prospective teachers’ conceptions about nuclear power plants. In the development of the draft scale, experts’ opinions were previously referenced by preparing initial items after the related literature was reviewed. A five-point Likert type draft scale was administered to totally 178 prospective teachers from biology department of Kazim Karabekir Education Faculty at Ataturk University. The final form of the scale was developed with item analysis and exploratory factor analysis. It was determined that the scale had 2 factors and totally 48 items, and also its items, in terms of factor loadings, changed between 0.776 and 0.400. Besides, Cronbach Alpha internal consistency coefficient for whole test was found to be 0.943.
