In Chinese medicine (zhongyi), myopathy is part of weizheng or paralysis syndrome. It appears insidiously in the eldely aged from fifty years old. The evolution is slow and gradual. The main symptoms are fatigue, paresis, difficulty with exertion, myalgia and muscular atrophy. After description of its different characteristics, such as the name, the western correspondences of the weizheng, the clinical frameworks, the physiology, the causes and the pathophysiology, the semiology, the rules of treatment, we will end with the detailed description of a clinical observation. It is a progressive form by Humidity-Heat. To date, acupuncture performed regularly improves the patient's condition.
