We review the state of the art of the theory predictions available for the Bhabha process in QED, paying particular attention to the implementation of the theoretical ingredients into Monte Carlo generators used for highprecision luminosity measurements at present and future e+e- colliders. The challenges posed by per mille normalization at present flavor factories, as well as by the precision tag at the 10-4 level for future e+e- facilities, are also discussed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Since the 1980s a broad class of new physics models has postulated the existence of a light, weakly coupled neutral gauge boson (dark photon). In recent years, a wealth of astrophysical anomalies has been explained in terms of this idea, without contradicting existing particle physics data. Because these new GeV-scale bosons communicate with the Standard Model particles, they can be produced in a controlled laboratory environment and low-energy experiments with high luminosity are the prime place to look for such states. Here we focus on the process of associated production of a photon and a dark photon at GeV-scale high-luminosity e+e- colliders. We present the experimental sensitivity to a dark photon signal of current experiments like KLOE-2 at DAΦNE and at a future superB factory. Our calculation is implemented in an upgraded version of the generator BabaYaga@NLO, available for data analysis in these new physics searches. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The relevance of single-W and single-Z production processes at hadron colliders is well known: in the present paper the status of theoretical calculations of Drell-Yan processes is summarized and some results on the combination of electroweak and QCD corrections to a sample of observables of the process pp → W± → μ± + X at the LHC are discussed. The phenomenological analysis shows that a high-precision knowledge of QCD and a careful combination of electroweak and strong contributions is mandatory in view of the anticipated LHC experimental accuracy. We review recent progress in precision calculations and the development of Monte Carlo generators for luminosity monitoring at meson factories. It is shown how the theoretical accuracy reached by presently used large-angle Bhabha tools at meson factories is at the 0.1% level and, therefore, comparable with that reached about a decade ago for luminosity monitoring through small-angle Bhabha scattering at LEP.
