Lifetimes of low-lying states in
73 Ga and70,72,74 Zn were measured using the Recoil Distance Doppler Shift (RDDS) method. These nuclei were produced in deep-inelastic reactions in inverse kinematics with a 208Pb beam impinging on a 76Ge target. Prompt rays were detected using the AGATA tracking array coupled to the VAMOS++ spectrometer. Lifetime of the 5/2- state in 73Ga, measured for the first time, provides additional evidence for the existence of a 1/2- , 3/2- ground-state doublet. The lifetimes of the 4+ states in70,72,74 Zn were remeasured in an attempt to understand the discrepancies observed between earlier measurements. Our results are in agreement with those of previous plunger experiments. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]- Published

Reduced quadrupole transition probabilities for low-lying transitions in neutron-rich N = 52 isotones
88 Kr and86 Se were investigated with a recoil distance Doppler shift (RDDS) experiment. The experiment was performed at GANIL (Caen, France) using the Orsay Universal Plunger System (OUPS) for the RDDS technique and the AGATA array for the γ-ray detection coupled to the VAMOS++ magnetic spectrometer for an event-by-event particle identification. In88 Kr, the lifetimes of seven levels were determined and in86 Se, the lifetimes of five levels were determined. The deduced B(E2; 2+ 1 ℥ 0+1) are compared with mean-field and shellmodel calculations. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]- Published

The structure of the
131 Sn nucleus was studied at the Institut Laue-Langevin by prompt-delayed -ray spectroscopy across the 0.3 μs, 23/2-isomeric state at 4670 keV, following cold-neutron-induced fission of235 U and241 Pu targets. New -ray transitions are observed and the results are compared with theoretical calculations performed with the Hybrid Configuration Mixing Model. The latter suggests that the majority of the states can be well-described in terms of couplings between single-hole degrees of freedom and132 Sn core excitations, pointing to a robust neutron shell closure at N = 82. The γ decay of the one-proton valence nucleus
133 Sb is studied using the cold-neutron induced fission of235 U and241 Pu targets. The experiment is performed at the ILL reactor in Grenoble, using a highly efficient HPGe array, also coupled to fast LaBr3 (Ce) scintillators. High-spin excited states above the 16.6 μs isomer are observed, and the lifetime of the 13/2+ and 15/2+ states is measured by fast-timing techniques, revealing a complex nature of the wave functions. The experimental results are well-interpreted by a newly developed microscopic model which takes into account the coupling between the valence proton and excitations (both collective and noncollective) of the doubly magic132 Sn core. High- and medium-spin structures have been investigated in neutronrich
96 Y isotope produced in the cold-neutron-induced fission of235 U and241 Pu targets. The study significantly extended the existing level scheme of this isotope. In the current work, particular attention was devoted to the structure which has been identified above the long 9.6 s, (8+ ) isomer, up to the excitation energy of 4813 keV. The angular correlation analysis, together with obtained decay pattern, allowed to propose spin values for some of the newly observed states. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]- Published

Lifetimes of high-spin states in As have been measured using Doppler shift attenuation technique with the GASP and RFD set-up. The nucleus of interest was populated in the
40 Ca(32 S, 3p)69 As reaction at beam energy of 95 MeV. Extracted lifetimes for the 33/2+ state at 7897 keV and 37/2+ state at 9820 keV are 72 (-45, +55) fs and 25(-25, +50) fs, respectively. The transition quadrupole moment resulting from the measurement can serve as a test of the TRS calculations. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]- Published

Lifetimes of high-spin states in
66 Ge have been measured using Doppler shift attenuation technique with the GASP and RFD setup. The 66Ge nucleus was populated in the40 Ca(32 S, α2p) reaction at beam energy of 95 MeV. The transition quadrupole moment, Qt , of the negative parity band in this nucleus has been determined to be approx. 0.9γ 0.1 eb. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]- Published

The Recoil Distance Doppler-Shift method has been used to measure the lifetime of the first 3- state in the N = Z 44Ti nucleus, populated via the 40Ca(6Li, pn)44Ti reaction. State-of-the-art analysis techniques have been employed to determine the experimental lifetime, resulting in a B(Due to image rights restrictions, multiple line equation(s) cannot be graphically displayed.) ≈ 3 W.u. Excited states of 17N, 18N and 19N were investigated through the measurement of gamma rays, following their population via deep-inelastic reactions induced by an 18O beam (7 MeV/u) on a thick 181Ta target. The experimental setup comprised the AGATA+PARIS detection system, coupled to the VAMOS++ magnetic spectrometer. In the 17N nucleus, the analysis of gamma-ray transitions de-exciting two states around 4-5 MeV clearly pointed to discrepancies with the lifetime values reported in literature. Three new gamma rays were observed in 18N at the energies of 1662.3 (3) keV, 2073.4 (8) keV and 2300.9 (8) keV, and hints for other two new transitions around 1566 keV and 1720 keV were found. In addition, a new transition with energy of 2489.7 (8) keV was observed in 19N.
