Abstract

The article presents a study with an aim to assess identified regions of interest on seven chromosomes with age-related macular degeneration (AMD) in Great Britain. It notes that cluster plots for genotype calling were analyzed visually and had indicated good quality data in a total of 51 single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs). The study reveals a significant SNP from an initial low-density scan of the region supported by two further significant SNPs in a higher marker density follow-up.
