The self-assembly of Cu(NO3)2·3H2O and H2L [where H2L is bis­(salicyl­idene)propane-1,3-diamine] generates the title compound, [Cu3L2(NO3)2] or [Cu3(C17H16N2O2)2(NO3)2]. The central CuII ion is located on an inversion centre and is bridged to terminal CuII ions by O atoms belonging to L ligands and NO3− anions, resulting in a trinuclear CuII mol­ecular complex.

The title compound, [Cu(C7H4BrO2)(C10H8N2)]ClO4, has been prepared by the reaction of 5-bromo­salicylaldehyde and 2,2′-bipyridine with Cu{ClO4)·6H2O. The two ligands coordinate the central Cu atom through two N [Cu—N = 1.981 (6) and 1.984 (7) A] and two O [Cu—O = 1.888 (5) and 1.949 (6) A] atoms. The coordination is completed by a perchlorate O atom, with a Cu—O distance of 2.533 (12) A. The crystal packing is stabilized by weak Cu⋯O inter­actions and van der Waals forces.

The title compound, C12H17ClNO2 +·Cl−, was synthesized by the reaction of (R)-(−)-2-amino-1-propanol and 2-bromo-1-(3-chlorophenyl)propan-1-one. The morpholine ring has a chair conformation; the 3,5-dimethyl and 2-hydroxy groups are on the same side of the morpholine ring with the 2-(3-chlorophenyl) group on the opposite side.

The title compound, [Cu(C16H13N4O3)Cl], has been prepared by the reaction of 2-[(5-nitro­salicyl­idene)­amino­ethyl]-1H-benz­imidazole, L, with copper(II) chloride. Ligand L coord­inates to the central Cu atom through two N atoms and one O atom, and a chloride ligand completes a distorted square-planar environment at the CuII centre. The chloride ligand is trans to the central N atom of the N,N,O-tridentate ligand. There are substantial distortions from ideal geometry at the copper centre, with an O—Cu—N angle of 147.35 (11)° and an N—Cu—Cl angle of 134.89 (9)°. There are intermolecular N—H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds parallel to the a axis.

The title compound, [Ni(C18H18N6O2S2)](ClO4)2·2CH4O, (I), has been prepared by the reaction of 2,2′-(ethyl­ene­dioxy)­dibenz­aldehyde bis­(thio­semicarbazone), L, with nickel(II) perchlorate. The chemical structural unit, which is twice the asymmetric unit of (I), consists of one NiII ion, one ligand L, two methanol solvent mol­ecules and two uncoordinated perchlorate anions. The Ni atom lies on a crystallographic twofold axis of rotation. The ligand L coordinates to the central Ni atom through two O atoms, two S atoms and two N atoms, giving a distorted octahedral environment. The S and O atoms occupy equatorial positions, and are nearly coplanar with the nickel, while the two N atoms occupy axial positions, with the N—Ni—N angle being 177.06 (18)°.
