The cuatomate (Solanum glaucescens Zucc.) is a vegetable in the process of domestication in which nutrient extraction studies have not been carried out. The objective was to determine the macronutrient extraction dynamics of cuatomate plants in hydroponics. The concentrations 25, 50, 75 and 100% of universal Steiner solution were evaluated in a completely randomized design, with four treatments and three replicates, during 180 days after transplanting (ddt). Six samples of plant material were taken to observe the extraction of N, P, K, Ca and Mg. An analysis of variance, Tukey mean test and a non-linear regression with a logistic model were performed. Extraction resulted in the order N>Ca>K>Mg>P, with an upward dynamic in N and K during the 180 ddt. For P, Ca and Mg, extraction was related to the concentration evaluated, the sampling time and the interactions in the absorption between the nutrients. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
