Speed is a distinctly important factor during the papermaking, its control will directly affect the quality and quantity of paper. ACS800 MultiDrive is a new all-digital drive system developed by the ABB corporation. The DC can export from the two common DC bus after the AC rectified, the DC can be changed into the AC by inverter unit, whose voltage and frequency is adjustable, the adjustable AC can control the speed of three-phase AC motor. Because of fewer electrical cabinets, small size and significant savings in energy sources, its application has already been more and more widely. The composition, principles and advantages of the ACS800 MultiDrive is firstly introduced, the rectifier and inverter units are mainly analyzed. Finally, as an example, the application of the ACS800 MultiDrive in the speed control of 3150/500 paper machine is introduced.

Wavelet moment features of image can reflect the image's part and whole characteristics and have strong anti-jamming ability. We use wavelet moments extracted from Paper-cut patterns to get multi-scale features. Combined with the paper-cut images' characteristics, the different mean and standard deviation of eigenvector are used to compute resolution and produce N class model feature selection. Finally, the eigenvectors are sent to nearest neighbor classifier for recognition. Experiments show that this method is effective in distinguishing paper cut-cut patterns with noise contamination or geometric deformation.

In this paper, four typical thinning intensity were choose to the larch forests. After thinning, significant differences in stand periodic increment between control and thinning plots appeared. ANOVA indicated significant difference in any stand characteristic among treatments prior to thinning. Information on the distribution of stand characteristics in specific tree-size classes at given is valuable to for managers. So the objective of this study was to develop and compare the two methods (i, e., Normal distribution and Weibull distribution) for estimating the diameter distribution of larch forests Baesd on Different thinning intensity in Changbai Mountain, Northeast China, the results showed that all the thinning intensity followed the Normal distribution, and the correlation coefficients were above 0.918, but only the middle thinning conforms to the Weibull distribution, the correlation coefficient is 0.929. From chi-test results, the diameter structure simulated in this paper is applied, and with small application error and high precision. This showed that the Normal distribution can be chosen the prediction function for the area with stand structure distribution in the future.

Multiple input multiple output (MIMO) processing techniques are of interest for the next generation wireless communication systems due to their potential ability to dramatically improve the system capacity. There have been existed several multi-user MIMO (MU-MIMO) transmit schemes such as zero-forcing dirty paper coding (ZF-DPC), and zero-forcing beamforming (ZFBF). In this paper, we analysis and compare the dynamic transmission schemes based on TDMA and SDMA under perfect and imperfect channel state information (CSI). The system throughput (sum data rate), the optimal user number that can be supported are evaluated under perfect CSI by computer simulations. The effect of imperfect CSI on the throughput of TDMA and SDMA is also investigated. The results show that under perfect channel state information at both transmitter and receiver, the SDMA schemes can achieve a larger throughput than the TDMA scheme because SDMA can fully explore the multiuser diversity by transmitting to the optimal set of users. In contrast, the results show that the system performance of SDMA scheme is sensitive to the channel error.

This paper based on the heat generation of iron core and windings of transformers, makes a detailed analysis of production costs of iron core and load losses and the influence on top oil temperature and hot-spot temperature of transformers. It also explains clearly the meanings of parameters in winding hot-point temperature equation recommended by GB/T 15164-1994 Loading Guide for Oil-immersed Power Transformers. And adjustments and revisions are made on the winding index and oil and fat item to get more reasonable corresponding physical significance of them. At the end, a comparison is made between the recommended equation calculation results and improved equation in loading guide. Although there is a similar tendency of hot-point temperature of the two and the calculation results are not in great different, a more reliability is in improved equation.

Finite steady state data was gathered from filed, steady-state model of pulp washing optimum process was founded by support vector machine(SVM). Simulation result showed that this model could be got in short time, worked with small error, and was strong enough in includes ability, adaptability. So this steady state model foundation method could be worth popularizing during pulp optimum control.

Web log mining is an important research method in addressing the problem. In this paper, we propose the new concept of interest pheromone, and on the basis of which design a group users' navigation path mining algorithm based on ant colony algorithm. The experimental result shows that interest pheromone can efficiently track users' changes of interests. It can accurately reflect users' browsing mode when introduced in the algorithm of the paper.

This paper presented a new real-time tracking algorithm for multiple targets in video sequence. In the paper, multiple targets track was realized by combing the static characteristic determination and motion feature between adjacent frames. And the characteristics of moving targets in the video were analyzed. Several important characteristics were selected as the characteristics reference of moving target recognition. The detail of the principle of the algorithm was introduced. The experiment and the applications show that the proposed method can realize real-time multiple target tracking with in 10 targets and the run time is within 40ms.

With the development of national economy and traffic system, car industry has been developed at very fast speed. As a part of the car, the frame supports all kinds of complicated loads coming from the road and the freight being loaded. And many assembly of the car are built in the frame. So the intensity and the strong of the frame play a role way in the car's design. The frame of some truck is analyzed and studied using the ANSYS in this paper. The static intensity of the frame is analyzed and studied in the instance of pure bending and coupled bending and torsion. In this paper I analyzed and studied the intensity of the frame in the instance of the bend and the torsion when the car was running, and analyzed the stress and the displacement of the frame when the car was running in the washboard-road and in the case of sharpturning. The result indicates that the stress of the frame is less than the utmost intension to resist to be pulled of the material being used. So the frame is satisfied with the design, but the stress is less and the economy is not rather better. In this paper the: dynamic characteristic that is mainly mode analysis is analyzed. The mode analysis is the core of the configurable dynamic design, and it overcomes the shortcoming of the static analysis and emphasizes that the problem should be considered from the whole configuration. The mode vibration model and proper frequency of the frame are calculated by mode analysis. The local intension is considered by the frequency and the model. According to the characteristic of the frame, several schemes used to design the frame are come out, which make the frame become light, save raw and processed materials, reduce the cost used produced, increase the fuel's economy and protect the circumstance.

As the infrastructure for the healthcare system, The District Medical Data Center need to be built at first. The model of architecture of District Medical Data Center is proposed in the paper. Both the advantages and disadvantages of the model are set forth while the view is presented. The District Medical Data Center is “patient-centered” instead of “accounting-centered” in the ordinary hospital information system. The paper also reports our project progress in this respect through a case supported by “11th Five-Year Plan”. The paper first raised a new proposal that is cloud computing implementing the District Medical Data Center. The nature of cloud computing is useful for constructing the data center. To the new generation of District Medical Data Center, cloud computing is better approach in the future. The idea, the District Medical Data Center as a service is showed concurrently.

This paper studies dynamic planning problem in the complex supply chain network. Due to the complexity and in order to get a satisfactory near-optimal solution with high efficiency, this paper proposes a model based on complex network theory and two-phase methodology. This practical models focus on some significant aspects of supply chain network design, including the first phase on partners selection, the second phase on the problems such as production & distribution planning, integration costs of inventory & transportation and the reliability of network structures-while so far little attention has been received in the existing literatures. In the end, a computer simulation is introduced.

This paper describes maintenance support as M/M/m/k queue process, of which the damaged equipment-arrival is subordinate to the independent Poisson distribution, and the maintenance-time the exponential distribution. The arrival rate of system and the maintenance rate may change along with the number of damaged equipments in the system, and the important damaged equipments have the preemptive priority and exponential impatience when waiting for repairing. The paper sets up maintenance support M/M/m/k queue model and lists state equations based on maintenance support system structure and size. The queue length distribution in stationary state and performance measures are gained by using the method of matrix analysis.

With the develop of network security, problems in traditional security encryption mode have appeared, such as low security and flexibility, and high overhead. This paper presents a new security encryption model based on improved LFSR (Linear Feedback Shift Register), which combines the high flexibility and low cost of the shift register and the characteristics of the high-speed and reconfigurable performance of FPGA, thereby allowing the system to achieve the purpose of low-cost, real-time allocation algorithm and reorganization of security policy document. This paper elaborates on the model of improved linear feedback shift register encryption algorithm encryption theory, and then introduced the FPGA algorithms and Reconstructable technologies. Finally, with the diagram analysis about the encryption and the valuation of total function, it has been proved that the arithmetic has good cost advantage and reconfigure ability is assured.

The study of supply-demand is one of the most important issues in supply chain. Supply-demand relationship goes through the whole supply chain network. This paper analyses the lot-sizing model in stochastic demand non-cooperation non-discount game. One partner may be in an optimal condition in this model, but the other and whole supply chain are not. To improve this scene and optimize the whole supply chain and attain the win-win goal, a Stackelberg price-discount game model, cooperative game model and benefits-distributed mechanism were proposed in this paper. Lot sizing model for Buyer-Supplier under random demand environment is simulated and analyzed through a numerical example. That buyer-Supplier and supply chain's benefits are influenced by demand fluctuation is analyzed.

This paper presents an obstacle avoidance control algorithm for mobile robot based on fuzzy controller. The environment information surrounding the robot detected by the ultrasonic sensors is firstly fuzzified, and then input into fuzzy control system. The output of the fuzzy control system is used to drive the robot. And the fuzzy control system in this paper is composed of dual fuzzy controllers, one is used to control the obstacle avoiding behavior when the robot is approaching obstacles, otherwise the other controls the robot to move to the goal. In this paper, the design of obstacle avoidance controller is described in detail, and the both are implemented by matlab. In order to obtain control information, it's necessary to fuse the output information of the two controllers. At last, simulation results show that the algorithm can help the robot to avoid obstacles safely and is certainly feasible.

In this paper, high performance real-time detecting and tracking technology for news events are proposed. The difference to previous TDT articles in the detection and tracking is that this attempt to establish the historical hotspot events Corpus first, and analyze the characteristics of the corpus according to timeline. HMM-based named entity recognition model is also used to find out other event characteristics except those reference timeline. By combining the above two methods and SVM,this study proposes its models in detecting and tracking. Experiments presented in this paper shows the models having a high performance in recall and precision.

With the development of the society and the progress of the science and technology, the demands of the customers are getting higher to the reliability of distribution. On the basis of analyzing the network topology of the distribution information system, this paper designs the integrated mode based on C/S and B/S, analyzes the work flow, and describes in detail the main function modules and the key technologies including the release of spatial data and the simulated algorithm of distribution. In this paper, the logic model of the Distribution Information Management System (DIMS) and the database are also designed. DIMS is developed with WebGIS (Web Geographic Information system) middleware and MapInfo OLE+ embedded techniques. It is practically proved that DIS can meet the real-time requirement of the multi-users and implementation functions such as remote power line simulation, output of drawing, and the control of spatial data version.

In this paper, a type of improved hybrid strategy is used to carry out the image segmentation of gold immunochromatographic test strip, which combines the genetic simulated annealing algorithms (GSAAs) and error back propagation (EBP) neural network algorithm. This hybrid strategy can work out these problems in image segmentation of gold immunochromatographic test strip: the area of test strip is pretty small; the breadth of test line testing zone, control line testing zone will not be fixed due to the reaction between samples and test strip. Computer simulation on this hybrid strategy is realized by Visual C++. The results of computer simulation demonstrate that, comparing with the EBP algorithm, the convergence precision and training speed of the EBP neural network can be improved due to the parameters produced from GSAA. Furthermore, comparing with EBP algorithm, the convergence precision and convergence speed of GSAA is much better. At the end of this paper, this hybrid strategy is applied to image segmentation of test strip and get satisfactory effect.

This paper builds a forecasting model of service marketing which was based on cluster analysis combining with decision tree, it depicts K-means algorithm, C5.0 algorithm of decision tree and design of building model, and applies the model on predicting whether a region users will accept the interactive service of cable television, by this way it finds the users group which shows the highest response rate. The result shows that the model finds the users group of high response rate easier than predicting only by decision tree, it also improves the classification accuracy on a greater extent. The framework presented in this paper provides the enterprise with an important basis for making effective market decision in commercial competition.

TCR is one type of reactive power compensation equipment which is popular used in power system nowadays. Its precision of compensation affects the quality of electrical energy. As the data source, the data acquisition section's performance will impact the function of control system directly, so as to affect the compensation effect. The paper designs a suit of voltage measuring system applied in reactive power compensator TCR, which is based on the chip CS5460A, together with the 51 SCM. The paper particularly dissertates the hardware design structure of system and the software program, also presents the flow chart. Practice indicates that the system has the superiorities of simple circuit, high precision, good real-time character, low cost and so on, which implies that the system has high practical value.

Aimming at the detection of moisture content of grain pile, we proposed a scheme in which Ground Penetrating Radar is applied in this paper. The method proposed is that we used a permittivity-moisture model to calculate moisture content indirectly by measuring the distribution of dielectric constant in grain pile. The precise detection is discussed in this paper under the condition of extensiveness and the calculation algorithm of dielectric constant is provided by using layer inverting method based on reflection law and refraction law. In addition, we used well logging method to obtain precise detection results to infer the accurate calibration coefficient required in layer inverting method. By this way, a higher precision can be obtained by the mothed. At the same time, we proposed a model named permittivity-moisture from nonlinear model of dielectric constant of mixed media. The experiment results indicate that, compared to sampling method, the calculating results of moisture content from the method has less error by combining the layer inverting algorithm and permittivity-moisture model and can meet the requires of application well. Thus can provide a convenient and practical method to the detection of huge grain pile.

After introducing the teleconsultation system and analyzing the require of data models from the system, this paper gives the merits and defects from mode managing multimedia data such as the expanded relational model, object-oriented data model and file system and describes the basic frame of the database from the system which is that static structured data adopt relational data model and unstructured multimedia data adopt a method that is combining object-relational model with file system. Finally the paper achieves its general design. Experimental results prove the validity of the managing frame.

This paper dedicated to investigate the integration of semi-active suspension and vehicle dynamics control system. Semi-active suspension (typically composed of a controlled damper and a passive spring) could improve the ride performance of vehicle by controlling the damper and spring. A vehicle dynamics control (VDC) system can enhance vehicle stability and handling in emergency situations through the control of traction and braking forces at individual wheels. A nonlinear control system is designed to coordinate interactions between semi-active suspension and VDC. A multi-body vehicle dynamic model is established in this paper, the multi-body vehicle dynamic model based on ADAMS can accurately predict the dynamics performance of the vehicle. The integrated controller for VDC and semi-active suspension is established according to the longitudinal motion, lateral motion and vertical motion of the vehicle. A fuzzy logic controller for VDC and a skyhook controller for semi-active suspension controllers are established using Matlab/Simulink software. The road roughness is crucial to vehicle vibration analysis. Thus, the co-simulation of ADAMS and Matlab/Simulink scenario is performed to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed controllers. The simulation results show that the VDC controller and the semi-active suspension controller are effective, and the integrated chassis control system can enhance both of vehicle handling stability and ride performance greatly.

This paper proposes using single-point and particle swarm operators in evolutionary programming. The single-point operator has a good global optimizing ability and accuracy, however, its convergence speed decrease. Compared to the single-point operator, the features of particle swarm operator are in the direct opposite. The two operators are complementary to each other. In this paper, the two mutation operators cooperate under a mixed strategy in order to obtain a better performance. Simulation results show that the proposed coevolutionary algorithm is superior to several popular algorithms proposed in recent years.

The large scale enterprise information systems are often consisted of many subsystems or components. Coordination among subsystems or components is an important problem in building and integrating complex enterprise information systems. In general, there is no single architecture of information system that is appropriate for any enterprise, and there is no single coordination mechanism that is appropriate for any enterprise information systems. In this paper, organization structures and coordination mechanisms are discussed. According to the similarities of certain coordination problems in different enterprise information systems, this paper gives some coordination patterns for coping with special cases, including centralized coordinator, shared data spaces, peer to peer, flow, and hierarchy.

XML has become the de facto standard of data presentation and exchange on the Web and Internet. Efficiently store and query XML documents have been the primary urgent task. At present, most of XML index and query are based on encoding the XML document tree. XML encoding is that node or edge of XML document tree is encoded with the only encoding according to some method. Through the encoding, structural relation can be judged and the XML document tree needn't be traversed. So XML structure query is often transformed into structure join calculation. In order to support query especially structure query, all kinds of XML encoding schemes are proposed. And most of XML query are based on prefix encoding schemes. Prefix encoding is based on path and completely keeps the absolute path from root to target node, then it is convenient to judge structural relation. This paper analyzes and studies some existing prefix encoding schemes, which have long codes when node depth is excessive deep and the document tree has more children or more siblings. Then excessively long codes need extra memory space and matching of structural join. So as to enhance encoding performance and query efficiency, and to lessen encoding length, therefore, by analyzing the current prefix encoding schemes, IPE encoding (Improved Prefix Encoding) is proposes in this paper. IPE encoding is an improved XML prefix encoding. With this encoding, we can reduce the length of prefix encoding and conveniently judge structural relation, when XML document tree has more nodes. Based on IPE encoding and inverted index tables, path query algorithm is presented; accordingly query speed is improved effectively.

The paper introduces RC4 stream ciper which is widely used in the TLS/SSL protocol and several weaknesses in the algorithm of RC4. In order to enhance the security of RC4, the paper proposes a new pseudo-random bit generator, which is based on RC4. This improved RC4 has destroyed the foundation of many attacks on RC4 and has more internal states than RC4. The new algorithm is realized by software and the experimental results show that the output stream are random and it is faster than RC4.

Based on the mathematical model of electric power steering (EPS) system, an assist characteristic transfer function of EPS system is established in this paper. The steering wheel angle is taken as input signal and the steering column angle as output signal in the model. According to biological immune feedback mechanism, a control algorithm for steering column angle of EPS based on immune PID is proposed in this paper. Compared with the genetic PID algorithm, the simulation results indicate that the immune PID control algorithm can effectively improve response speed of EPS, shorten time up to the steady state value, enhance the efficiency of steering column angle tracking the steering wheel angle, and make EPS to have good performance of power steering.

s the performance and size of computing facilities and associated data services continue to increase, the management of computing systems within data centers is becoming a significant challenge. This paper analyzes the characteristics of services in the Scientific Data Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. To capture the service characteristics, the paper describes three computing system architectures and automatic deployment methods for three types of services. Specifically, aiming at facilitating management, guaranteeing QoS, improving resource utilization and relieving energy consumption, the paper proposes a novel computing system architecture for SDC, on-demand service-oriented dynamic reconfigurable computing system (SODRCS). Based on the proposed architectures, automatic deployment methods and the policies of assigning/reclaiming resources, SODRCS enables on-demand resource provision by automatically reconfiguring computing systems with the variety of service demand.

Taking the Small Wild Goose Pagoda in Tang Dynasty as the case, this paper mainly researches the key technologies of 3D reality-based modeling from real data and of 3D virtual exhibition of cultural sites. Firstly, this paper puts forward the method of 3D digital data process of cultural sites by way of combining the technologies of the 3D laser scanning of the large scenes and the digital photography, which enables prompt and accurate digital data acquisition without damaging the cultural sites; then based on the laser-synchronized visual image of ancient buildings, the paper proposes the method of 3D reality-based modeling from real data with the adoption of the local texture mapping; finally, the paper introduces the systematic architecture, technology roadmap and key technologies of the 3D virtual exhibition system based on WebGIS for the cultural sites. The implementation of the methods proposed in the paper can not only create a reality-based 3D digital modeling of the Small Wild Goose Pagoda, which helps to realize the digital protection of this important cultural site built in 707 AD, but also create a digital object with 3D virtual exhibition function so that people can enjoy its unique historical, cultural and tourist values based on the Internet.

To improve both the speed and visual effect of the game, this paper proposes an efficient collision detection algorithm suitable for mobile games from the aspect of game logic. Combined with the features of low-powered mobile devices, many different optimization techniques are presented and implemented.

The mathematical model of three-level pulse width modulated (PWM) rectifier is established, and the voltage oriented control strategy based on sliding mode control (SMC) is presented in this paper. PI controller is widely used in voltage oriented control, but the dynamic performance of the system is limited by the invariant parameters of PI. In this paper, SMC is introduced instead of conventional PI to obtain fast and accurate response of dc-bus voltage. Simulation results show that with the proposed control scheme, the three-level PWM rectifier realizes the unity power factor, and exhibits better dynamic performance than that of conventional PI controller.

Data normalization is the first step of pattern recognition (PR). Feature selection is another part of work in PR. All of them are very important and challengeable. In this paper, some normalization methods and some feature selection methods are introduced first, then, discussed the relationship between feature selection and data normalization. Finally, an algorithm is described how to normalize supervised multi-class (phenotype) data that all the classes are the type of multi-sample by a statistical way. By the method, on the training phase of PR, useful features can be obtained with the same normalization algorithm. The method in this paper has practical significance.

A photovotic (PV) module assessment to a hybrid power generation system for Tibet Plateau was made in this paper. According to the average irradiance values gathered in Lhasa and the information of PV modules was gathered from literature provided by the manufacturers, the daily output power in watt-hours per m2 which could be expected from each of the modules based on the irradiance data was calculated, and the number of modules required to provide 1050 whr per day, including its area and cost, was assessed. By calculating and assessment, a proposal developed portable wind & solar hybrid power generating system was presented. The system proposed in this paper will greatly help to ease the shortage of electricity supply to herdsmen living in the wide grassland of Tibet Plateau.

In this paper, we study the implemental issues on a middleware-based spatiotemporal query processing system. The middleware approach is used to enhance query efficiency of spatiotemporal database systems built on a commercial object-relational DBMS (ORDBMS), such as Oracle. We first introduce the middleware-based idea for spatiotemporal query processing, and present two approaches to realizing the middleware, which are cost-based approach and constraint-rules- and cost-based approach. Some implemental issues on the middleware-based spatiotemporal processing are also discussed in the paper. Finally, we conduct a comparison between our middleware approach with other structures, and the results show that the middleware approach provides an effective way to improve the efficiency of spatiotemporal queries in ORDBMS-based spatiotemporal database systems.

This paper shows how to use the embedded service technology, ARM9 microprocessor, embedded Linux,Intelligence agent and embedded service toolkit gSOAP implement intelligence and grid function of sensor. In the paper's end, the testing result of the sensor system was also given.

Externality controlling is important problem in environmental protection. And, the overall model of externality controlling is very rare during relative studies. For attempting to guide externality management, the paper tried to create a theory-model of externality controlling using target programming method, and, created relative coordinate figure. At last, data analysis corroborated conclusion of paper.

Beijing, the capital city, is the political, economic and cultural centre of China, and in two consecutive years Beijing's total retail sales of social consumer goods was the highest in China. Total retail sales of social consumer goods is an important indicator reflected living standard and purchasing power of a region, therefore the study of Beijing's total retail sales of social consumer goods have theory and practical significance, and an ARIMA model would be established in this paper to study the problem in order to find out the trend of this variable. This paper would also provide some suggestion to help Beijing build the world trade center and achieve the strategic objectives of being a global city.

In order to promote the use of simulation in the traffic navigation and management, the behaviors and existing simulation models of the moving objects (such as micro-cellular automaton model, Poisson distribution of microscopic traffic simulation model and section start.) in traffic flow have been researched, integrated and improved in this paper, and provides the Road Network-Based Cellular Automata Model (RN-CA) in eventually. This model not only simulates the behaviors of the moving objects from the angle of vehicle and road, but also adds the departure, following, overtaking and correction model in different types of car and the major factors that affect vehicle operations, making simulation more accurate and reliable. This paper using the Dijkastra algorithm, and considering the length of the road, the number of lanes, traffic, average speed and other factors to select the optimal path. Besides, the optimal path can change according to the road conditions and time. For driving time estimation, this paper combines the simulation and prediction, considering the traffic of current and historical. The prediction process uses the changing polynomial fitting and the interpolation fitting. In order to adapt to Multi-core computing, the system provides a simulation mode that can adjust threads by users, and the efficiency of the system is improved.

For conquering the effect of data transmission in user access to the randomness between system and user in distributed virtual environment, in this paper algorithm of node collection in DFS (Distributed File System) based on expectation is presented. We present the mathematical model and calculation steps too. And in this paper we propose not only the application of a polynomial function fitting the user with the speed sets on the network node cluster but also the tactics of calculation the max expectation from the function Fitting. Simulations show that we can find the best node in every area and different sessions from this algorithm and tactic.

This paper defines the mechanism of the Personifying Intelligent Decision-making for Vessel Collision Avoidance(short form for PIDVCA)at open sea which involves ship anti-collision model, decision-making algorithm for ship collision avoidance and model for PIDCVA, all of which is based on the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea 1972(short form for RULE below) and the ordinary practice of seamen during which the experienced sailors takes action to avoid collision. The paper emphatically discusses the principle of the PIDVCA at open sea and introduces some typical simulation instances based on the safe navigation and automatic collision avoidance simulation testing platform and does some analytic work for those tests. Finally, the paper puts forward some unsolved issues during the research.

This paper introduced an improved LZW algorithm of data comp- ression. In view of Chinese text charac- teristic, in this paper, the expansion to the dictionary was carried on, and the first level database of Chinese was added, with some second level of Chinese char- acters space reserved to improve the dictionary memory method as well as the renewal way which was improved by experiments to the improvements of compression ratio.

This paper gives a broad overview of swarm intelligence in three parts: biological basis, artificial literature and swarm engineering. In biological basis part, the paper gives some operational principles from biological systems by naturalists and biologists. In artificial literature part, two fundamental approaches are provided to analyze swarm topology. The prevalent swarm models and techniques such as Reynolds's rules, discrete and continuum theory of flocking, coordination stability of the swarm motion, etc, are also summarized in this part. In swarm engineering part, the paper discusses Kazadi's “two-step” process. Many engineering applications come from Kazadi's researches. Also, the main application of swarm intelligence on robot systems and other applications are introduced in this part. We say this paper provides concepts for a better understanding of swarm intelligence both in principles and in applications.
