The change of management environment threatens many enterprises' survivals, and it requires them to change the current management paradigm, enterprises are interested in the creation and utilization of the intellectual asset helping them strengthening their core capacity to survive at this point of time. However, such research as the creation and utilization of the intellectual asset is insufficient. Knowledge means the experience or know-how changed from processing information. Accordingly, information quality plays important role in raising knowledge quality, because information quality can be the basis of forming knowledge. In this research, we will find how to raise knowledge quality by using information quality driver and 'knowledge transformation process' presented by Ikujiro Nonaka. Besides, we will find the knowledge quality drivers helping enterprises raising knowledge quality.

For better predictions and classifications in customer recommendation, this study proposes an integrative model that efficiently combines the currently-in-use statistical and artificial intelligence models. In particular, by integrating the models such as association rule, frequency matrix, and rule induction, this study suggests an integrative prediction model. The data set for the tests is collected from a convenience store G, which is the number one in its brand in S. Korea. This data set contains sales information on customer transactions from September 1, 2005 to December 7, 2005. About 1,000 transactions are selected for a specific item. Using this data set, it suggests an integrated model predicting whether a customer buys or not buys a specific product for target marketing strategy. The performance of integrated model is compared with that of other models. The results from the experiments show that the performance of integrated model is superior to that of all other models such as association rule, frequency matrix, and rule induction.

Focus on the problem of integrating, sharing and mapping heterogeneous and distributed traffic information, this paper present a method on using when tag extended GeoRSS to encode the traffic information, and incorporate this GeoRSS layer with WMS layer generated by Geoserver. The detailed technical approach used to create our solution is illustrated and a use-case scenario is also provided. The approach and methods described in this paper can be extended to use in many other domains such as crisis management.

This research explores the concepts of information systems and information technology competence of a firm. For the study, three different research methods were employed for triangulation purpose: literature review, survey, and interview. Findings indicate that IS/IT-competent firms are to have two capabilities in parallel: IT capabilities and business capabilities of IT organization. Resulting competence model will be useful as a reference in developing an IT management model for organizations' value-added IT management activities.

Impressive growth of the information products market has been sustained by the availability of successful semiconductor non-volatile memory technologies. The key driver is right the flash memory for the mass storage application in portable electronic systems. In this work, we study the market dynamics of successive generations of flash memory using a growth model. The adopted model considers non-uniform influence, asymmetric diffusion, and heterogeneity of the population of potential adaptors. The nonlinear growth model is solved numerically and applied to explore the marketing growth of flash memory in the past years. New technologies of flash memory diffuse through a population of potential buyers over time; the model provides a basis for assessing and forecasting the influence of recent technologies on earlier ones. We further examine the successive generations of flash memory from 128 Mb to 1 Gbit. Comparison of the simulated results with the realistic data validates the theoretical findings so as to forecast the growth dynamics of market among different generations.

The role of IT organization is shifting from a simple business supporting center to a strategic value delivery center. As technologies and environmental conditions are changing dynamically and IT risks are increasing, management of IT is becoming more critical. The main objectives of IT management are aligning business and IT by using resources effectively, reducing IT-related risks and maximizing operational efficiency. The concept of IT governance has emerged to address these objectives more systematically. IT governance reflects top-level executives' view on IT by definition. As a link between IT and business, CIO plays an important role to accomplish successful IT governance. In this regard, this study is designed and conducted to reveal Korean CIO's perception on IT governance, especially in relation to five different dimensions of IT governance: strategic alignment, value delivery, IT resource management, risk management and performance measurement. For above dimensions, a survey was conducted to measure the actual implementation level and importance. Gap analysis reveals understanding five dimensions and high expectation dimensions that need to be developed further. This paper also presents recommendations and guidelines for successful IT governance.

A great part of protocols for password-based authenticated key exchange system are designed for a single- server environment where all the information about legitimate users is stored in one server. Therefore, a credential weakness is existed in this approach because the user's password is exposed if this server is ever compromised. In 2006, Yang et al. proposed a practical two-server authenticated key exchange system which split user's password into two and store them into the servers respectively. They also extended the basic two-server model to an architecture in which multiple service servers were supported by single control server, but they didn't demonstrate an adequate protocol in the extended model. In this paper, we present a protocol which is suitable for the extended model. In addition, we describe that our proposed protocol is robust against various known attacks and has a user-friendness.

In enterprise computing, clustering is a useful architecture because most companies have a need for high-availability, high-performance and stabilized load-balanced computing power. However, when we use clustering architecture, we must consider a data control method. Representative of the two methods of data control are centralization and distribution. In this paper, we will propose the hybrid method and we will introduce our system implementing the stock trading system method of Meritz Securities. Our system has three hierarchical layers and is operated with some special method we called the HDA. This HDA method has some useful factors for our data control method.

To realize the implementation of agent based B2B e-commerce in ubiquitous environment, we design the b-cart based B2B agent framework. B-cart implies a buyer's shopping cart which a buyer carries. The prototype agent, named AgentU, is designed to provide an effective architecture for the direct purchasing from multiple external e-markets in ubiquitous environment. In this paper, by providing the features and architecture of AgentU, we analyze the pros and cons of this architecture with related issues such as comparison and inventory for B2B. The buyer using AgentU can collect items from different e-markets, and can order purchases simultaneously over the collected items. It also supports integrated services in personalized comparison on purchasing items, order tracking, financial/payment management, user's account management, negotiation management, personal decision support, tight integration between the b-cart and e-procurement systems, and context awareness.

The relative velocity of the vehicle ad hoc network that has high mobility can affect network topology. This can affect the efficiency of those networks, so a suitable mechanism is necessary for effective management of them. This paper analyzes MAC throughputs in according with relative velocity in vehicle ad hoc environment. The vehicle ad hoc network has serious a topological variation because of high-mobility of a vehicle. So each station has a MAC-overhead to avoid collision. The RTS-CTS frame is the biggest overhead between them. In this paper, we evaluate basic mechanism and RTS-CTS mechanism about sent frame length. The result shows that RTS-CTS mechanism exhibits superior efficiency in low relative velocity and basic mechanism appears better efficiency than that in high relative velocity. Therefore, we confirm that relative velocity is an import factor in vehicle ad hoc network, and propose requirement of suitable mechanism.
