Determination of the helicity of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) is useful for CNTs in nanoelectronic device applications. Using electron diffraction to measure chiral angle with a high precision is reviewed, and helix-shaped carbon nanostructures are introduced and characterized by transmission electron microscopy.
