In hired results over of inspection of metal structures of main beams of bridge of magnetic-bucket crane are brought, his technical description is given. Reasons of origin of the remaining (negative) bending and his negative influence are educed on operating descriptions and safety of work of crane. The size of the negative bending of main beams of bridge is set in size of a 105 mm at the size of crane span 20 m. Such size of the building deflection resulted in rolling of two light carts of magnetic-bucket crane to the middle of span, their defect and leaning against three skating rinks. Such defect assisted strengthening of wear of flange and increased attenuation time of own vibrations. Previous repairs of beams by means of hot edit heating of areas of lateral walls to the temperature 800-900°C in future negatively affected on operating descriptions of crane metal construction. Expedient complex technology of repair of metal structures for span beams is offered technically with the purpose of extension of time of service of crane. Technology includes: method of hot edit of beam and method of preliminary tension. The sequence of works is described at implementation of repair these methods. The construction of stretching device and his bracing on main beams. In the construction of stretching device supports are included with the set tighteners (lug). Tensioning devices are fastened to the bottom belt of tension beams. In lugs the cored armature is set and she is laid on brackets. The pull of the cored armature is produced by means of hydraulic jacks, fixed by a nut and check-nut. Diagrammatized technological process of complex repair. The offered technology will allow to produce repair works without dismantling of crane and promote reliability of its exploitation, В работе приведены результаты обследования металлоконструкций главных (пролетных) балок моста магнито-грейферного крана. Выявлены причины возникновения остаточного (отрицательного) прогиба этих балок, отмечено негативное влияние прогиба на эксплуатационные характеристики и безопасность работы крана. Предложена экономически целесообразная комплексная технология ремонта металлоконструкций пролетных балок с целью продления срока службы крана. Разработана конструкция натяжного устройства и его крепления на главных балках. Составлена схема технологического процесса комплексного ремонта, В роботі наведені результати обстеження металоконструкцій головних (пролітних) балок моста магніто-грейферного крану. Виявлені причини виникнення залишкового (від’ємного) прогину цих балок, відзначений негативний вплив прогину на експлуатаційні характеристики і безпеку роботи крану. Запропоновано економічно доцільну комплексну технологію ремонту металоконструкцій пролітних балок з метою продовження терміну служби крану. Розроблено конструкцію натяжного пристрою і його кріплення на головних балках. Складено схему технологічного процесу комплексного ремонту

Technological transport, its units operating at high temperatures is employed in iron and steel and coke-chemical industry. Elements of such transportation facilities undergo very non-uniform loads. Investigations show that strength of separate mostly loaded sections of separate units exert direct limitations upon the total service lives of these transportation means, having an indirect influence upon reliability and economic indices of the entire production processes. As a result of non-uniform wearing many bulky metal parts get broken, prior to the expiry of their specified service lives terms. Substantial expenses of enterprises on repair and maintenance of technological transport increase production, equipment repairs costs and total production costs, therefore the problem of increasing service lives of the mostly loaded units still needs to be solved. The article deals with the analysis of the existing methods of improving strength of units, operating under the heaviest loads that are the first to fail. The main reasons for these parts failure at high temperature ranges are a decline in mechanical properties of the material and changes of its structure. Such processes may occur both at prolonged operation of the material at high temperature and at its thermo-cycling. Decarburization is developed at high temperatures on the surface and adjoining areas of any part; it resulting in changes in the structure and mechanical properties of metal. Strength properties and especially plasticity properties decline. Due to these phenomena the majority of exploitation defects start forming on surface of the part. To improve such parts and to increase their service lives a method of alloying parts was proposed, by which it was possible to increase strength on a particular section of a part at minimal consumption of alloying elements. As compared to conventional alloying methods, in which alloying elements are used in large quantities and distributed throughout the entire volume of a part, here, consumption of costly elements is 20-30 times less, that could be beneficial for consumers of such parts. It is to ensure maximum service lives of equipment, the expenses on costly alloying elements being drastically reduced. В результаті нерівномірності зношування багато деталей виходять з ладу, не вичерпавши повністю свого ресурсу. При цьому замінювані або ремонтовані вузли збільшують собівартість готової продукції. Значні витрати на ремонт і обслуговування технологічного транспорту завищують витрати на виробництво для будь-якого підприємства, тому проблема збільшення довговічності найбільш навантажених вузлів вимагає рішення. В статті розглянуті відомі методи збільшення стійкості вузлів механічного устаткування, які виходять з ладу в першу чергу. Основними причинами руйнування деталей при високих температурах є зниження механічних властивостей матеріалу та зміна його структури. Такі процеси можуть відбуватися як при тривалій витримці матеріалу за високих температур, так і в процесі його термоциклування. При високих температурах на поверхні будь-якої деталі і в прилеглих шарах розвивається зневуглецювання, що веде до зміни структури і механічних властивостей металу. При цьому знижуються показники міцності і особливо пластичності. У зв'язку з такими явищами, більшість експлуатаційних дефектів має розвиток з поверхні виробу. З метою удосконалення деталей і збільшення їх довговічності запропонований метод легування виробу, за допомогою якого можливо збільшити міцність на заданій ділянці виробу за умови мінімальної витрати легуючих елементів. В порівнянні із звичайними методами легування, коли легуючі елементи використовуються у великій кількості і розподіляються на весь об'єм виробу, витрата дефіцитних дорогих елементів зменшується в 20-30 разів, що економічно має бути вигідним будь-якому споживачеві виробів. Такий підхід забезпечує максимальний термін служби устаткування при зведенні до мінімуму витрат на дорогі легуючі елементи. Дія методу проілюстрована на прикладі головки запалу МБЛЗ

Дані рекомендації, що забезпечують високу якість зварного з'єднання і більш тривалий термін експлуатації конструкцій, Among the various types of metallurgical equipment there are structures which are welded compounds of a cast base and additional elements produced by casting or any other means. Such structures are called cast-welded constructions. Besides new working properties such constructions appear to be more efficient and provide better durability as compared to the similar structures produced by other industrial means. Meanwhile the advantages of the technology are not used in full. One reason is low quality of the compound products caused by lack of proper preparation of the elements to be welded and poor quality of the welds themselves. In the article the methods of quality production and the maintenance of steel cast-welded constructions have been considered. A ladle of a blast-furnace slag car is used as the subject of investigation and further testing of the mentioned above technologies. The ladle is a cast product. Under operating conditions, the ladle undergoes mechanical and thermal load, which results in deformation of its sides that deflect inside. To prevent the deflection stiffening ribs are welded onto the outer surface of the ladle. However, there may be casting defects in the base metal that could reduce the durability of the welds. It has been proved that welds on the unprepared cast base of the steel product cannot guarantee the combination’s durability and reliability. To prevent the influence of the casting defects it has been recommended to cover the base metal with one more metal layer before welding the elements on. Two-layer surfacing provides best result as the first layer serves for the weld penetration of the casting defects since this layer has a significant share of base metal therefore it is less malleable; the second layer is necessary for making the layer viscous enough. The viscous layer ensures the absence of sharp transition from the deposited metal to the base metal and increases the crack resistance of the weld. In case the recommendations are followed, the high quality of steel cast-welded constructions and their longer service life can be ensured

В работе выполнен анализ условий работы чаш доменных шлаковозов и основных методов увеличения прочности его корпуса. Обоснована целесообразность применения метода сварки для уменьшения деформации корпуса чаши. Использование рёбер жесткости позволяет уменьшить образование дефектов, увеличить надежность и ресурс работы доменного шлаковоза, В роботі виконано аналіз умов праці чаш доменних шлаковозів та основних методів підвищення міцності його корпусу. Обгрунтована доцільність застосування методу зварки для зменшення деформацій корпусу чаші. Використання ребер жорсткості дозволяє зменшити виникнення дефектів, підвищити надійність та ресурс роботи доменного шлаковозу, Reliability of the design of slag carriages is of great importance, as these belong to transportation system of iron and steel works, operating with enhanced danger due to the necessity to carry molten materials. That is why it is required to eliminate the slightest possibility of any failures of emergency situations at operation of slag carriages. Presence of defects in the hopper’s wall undermines its reliability and diminishes its service life. Hopper’s wall undergo at operation tremendous mechanical and thermal loads. Heating over the temperature range 500-600C º leads to appearance of residual deformations, it deteriorating exploitation conditions of a slag carrier. Overheating of separate sections of the casing can drastically deteriorate strength characteristics of the material, specified for the hopper’s design. This leads to alternations of its original geometry. The existing methods of improvement of its strength are insufficient due to economic and technological reasons. For this reason a technical solution was proposed and tested, in which additional reinforcing ribs to be installed above the deformation area on the side surface of the hopper were presumed. The indicted area is characterized by the smallest heating temperature its exploitation temperature possesses higher strength characteristics than other sections. This feature was used for strengthening of a less strong adjoining deformation area, undergoing high heating temperature. Reinforcing ribs are made by foundry methods do not always ensure the desired effect as they present the source of inner defects and formation of cracks. This is explained by formation of heat centres and T-shaped elements of casting, that are last crystallized and have no dense structure. That is why it was proposed to install welded reinforcing ribs for improved design of a slag carriers. The ribs are to be manufactured of steel rolled stock. This variant of installation of additional reinforcing ribs guarantees absence of internal casting defects within the area of ribs fixation and their high strength and reliability

When a solidifying ingot passes along the process line of the continuous casting machine stress and deformations arise in its solidifying skin, it leading to cracks formation and determining the quality of production. The contemporary investigations are devoted mainly to the existing operation modes of continuous casting, in which the field of temperature distribution in ingot is stationary in the system of coordinates, linked with the crystallizer. Little attention has so far been paid to transition periods, due to difficulties of investigation and description of the processes happening during these periods. During the period of completion of continuous casting the rate of ingot’s drawing is reduced to the minimal possible value, thus ensuring trouble-free operation of continuous casting machines, the tail part of slabs being cooled down in a greater degree than the bulk of slabs. At this temperature reduction in the tail part the metal gets into the area of resilience, it greatly increasing the likeness of surface cracks formation and other defects. Due to this reason it is very important to know the ingot’s stress in its tail part. This problem can be solved by means of a mathematical model. This work presents a numerical simulation of a stressed state of a steel slab on a horizontal section of a curved continuous caster. The data, regarding temperature and stresses distribution were obtained for the surface of the bulk of continuously cast ingot and its tail part. The value of stress in ingot’s tail part can exceed its yield point, resulting in appearance of residual deformations and changes in ingot’s width. Unfavourable distribution of temperature stresses can be altered by correction of cooling in the tail part of continuously cast ingot
