- Abstract
Textbook of postgraduate psychiatry (2 volumes) is assimilated with all modern developments in psychiatry and their effects on clinical practice. Textbook of Postgraduate Psychiatry is addressed primarily to the postgraduate student in psychiatry and allied mental health fields, but it should equally serve as a good source of revision and reference to psychiatrists, who have already completed their training, and to practitioners and clinicians, and other mental health professionals. This book is divided into two volumes, which are further divided into 22 sections following as clinical examination in psychiatry and epidemiology of mental disorder, organic mental disorder and substance related disorders, schizophrenia, other psychotic disorders and mood disorder, anxiety disorders, stress related disorders, psychosomatic medicine, somatoform disorder, dissociative disorder and other related disorders, personality disorder, sexual disorder, sleep disorder and eating disorders, pregnancy and menstruation related disorders, liaison psychiatry, neuropsychiatry, psychiatric aspect of medical disorders and other related conditions, emergency in mental health, child and adolescent psychiatry, basic sciences and imaging in psychiatry, neuropsychology, research methods, statistics and genetics in psychiatry, biological therapies, psychological methods of treatment, culture, spirituality, anthropology and psychiatry, community psychiatry and psychiatric nursing, and forensic psychiatry and mental health legislation. These 22 sections cover the 82 chapters. It is also a best reference book for established practitioners across the world. The contributors include renowned authorities in the various subspecialties of psychiatry with original work to their credit as well as young, zealous psychiatrists, who are actively involved in academic life.

- Abstract
This book presents the basics and applications of superconducting devices in quantum optics. Over the past decade, superconducting devices have risen to prominence in the arena of quantum optics and quantum information processing. Superconducting detectors provide unparalleled performance for the detection of infrared photons in quantum cryptography, enable fundamental advances in quantum optics, and provide a direct route to on-chip optical quantum information processing. Superconducting circuits based on Josephson junctions provide a blueprint for scalable quantum information processing as well as opening up a new regime for quantum optics at microwave wavelengths. The new field of quantum acoustics allows the state of a superconducting qubit to be transmitted as a phonon excitation. This volume, edited by two leading researchers, provides a timely compilation of contributions from top groups worldwide across this dynamic field, anticipating future advances in this domain.

- Abstract
This book presents the research and development-related results of the “FIRST” Quantum Information Processing Project, which was conducted from 2010 to 2014 with the support of the Council for Science, Technology and Innovation of the Cabinet Office of the Government of Japan. The project supported 33 research groups and explored five areas: quantum communication, quantum metrology and sensing, coherent computing, quantum simulation, and quantum computing. The book is divided into seven main sections. Parts I through V, which consist of twenty chapters, focus on the system and architectural aspects of quantum information technologies, while Parts VI and VII, which consist of eight chapters, discuss the superconducting quantum circuit, semiconductor spin and molecular spin technologies.Readers will be introduced to new quantum computing schemes such as quantum annealing machines and coherent Ising machines, which have now arisen as alternatives to standard quantum computers and are designed to successfully address NP-hard/NP-complete combinatorial optimization problems, which are ubiquitous and relevant in our modern life. The book offers a balanced mix of theory-based and experimentation-based chapters written by leading researchers. Extensive information is provided on Quantum simulation, which focuses on the implementation of various many-body Hamiltonians in a well-controlled physical system, Quantum key distribution, Quantum repeaters and quantum teleportation, which are indispensable technologies for building quantum networks with various advanced applications and require far more sophisticated experimental techniques to implement.

- Abstract
This book provides a comprehensive view of the contemporary methods for quantum-light engineering. In particular, it addresses different technological branches and therefore allows the reader to quickly identify the best technology - application match. Non-classical light is a versatile tool, proven to be an intrinsic part of various quantum technologies. Its historical significance has made it the subject of many text books written both from theoretical and experimental point of view. This book takes another perspective by giving an insight to modern technologies used to generate and manipulate quantum light.

- Abstract
For more than ten years cell fusion techniques have been applied in studies on various lymphocyte functions. Ig expression was first studied in hybrids obtained by fusing myeloma cells with fibroblasts (1) or lymphomas (2), both of which do not produce Ig, and with Ig producing myelomas (3) or human blood lymphocytes (4). Kohler and Milstein (5) fused a myeloma with spleen cells from immunized mice. Up to 10% of the hybrids obtained secreted antibodies specific for the immunizing antigen. This suggested that plasma cells preferenti ally fused with the myeloma cells, a finding which was of enormous practical value. It was found that both Band T lymphocytes could be fused with the T cell tumor BW5147, which is however not permissive for Ig synthesis (6). A very large number of T cell hybridomas were generated by fusing BW5147 with cell populations containing in vivo or in vitro activated cells (7). The hybrids showed no specific T cell functions and binding assays for T cell receptorswere not available. In particular, no hybrids were obtained which expreS1ed specific cytolytic activity that could be tested in short-term Cr release assays (8). However, the frustrations expressed about these failures, published in January, 1978 (9), were relieved by Taniguchi and Miller's publication a few months later of T cell hybridomas producing antigen-specific suppressor factors (10). Unfortunately, their hybrids rapidly lost factor production.
