This book presents a series of revised papers selected from the Doctoral Consortium (DC) and the Workshops organized in conjunction with the 15th ACM SIGCHI Symposium on Engineering Interactive Computing Systems (EICS 2023) which was held in Swansea, United Kingdom, during June 27-30, 2023. The 17 full papers included in this book were carefully reviewed and selected from 33 submissions. They were organized in topical sections as follows: engineering interactive computing systems for people with disabilities (DISAB 2023 Workshop), engineering interactive systems embedding AI technologies (EIS-embedding-AI Workshop) and doctoral consortium EICS 2023.

This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 9th International Symposium on End-User Development, IS-EUD 2023, held in Cagliari, Italy, during June 6–8, 2023.The 17 full papers and 2 (keynote extended abstracts) included in this book were carefully reviewed and selected from 26 submissions. This book discusses research, methods, and recent developments in the interdisciplinary field that spans research in visualization, eye tracking, human-computer interaction, and psychology. It presents extended versions of papers from the First Workshop on Eye Tracking and Visualization (ETVIS), which was organized as a workshop of the IEEE VIS Conference 2015. Topics include visualization and visual analytics of eye-tracking data, metrics and cognitive models, eye-tracking experiments in the context of visualization interfaces, and eye tracking in 3D and immersive environments. The extended ETVIS papers are complemented by a chapter offering an overview of visualization approaches for analyzing eye-tracking data and a chapter that discusses electrooculography (EOG) as an alternative of acquiring information about eye movements. Covering scientific visualization, information visualization, and visual analytics, this book is a valuable resource for eye-tracking researchers within the visualization community.

Die Mensch und Computer ist eine vom Fachbereich Mensch-Computer-Interaktion der Gesellschaft für Informatik (GI) initiierte und seit 2001 jährlich stattfindende Fachtagungsreihe zu Mensch-Computer-Interaktion. Hier treffen sich Personen aus Wissenschaft und Praxis, um neueste Forschungsergebnisse zu diskutieren, Erfahrungen auszutauschen und neue Produkte und Methoden kennen zu lernen. Die Tagung bietet Einblicke in Entwicklungen in den Bereichen Usability, User Experience, Mensch-Computer-Interaktion, Computer-Supported Cooperative Work und Gestaltung interaktiver Medien. Die Mensch und Computer 2015 in Stuttgart steht unter dem Motto'Gemeinsam- Arbeit - Erleben'. Dieses Motto greift die Entwicklungen auf, dass sich die klare zeitliche Trennung zwischen Arbeit und Freizeit aufzulösen beginnt. Deshalb werden in Zukunft Benutzungsschnittstellen und Systeme erforderlich die Erlebnisse in allen Lebenslagen unterstutzen Der Workshopband zur Tagung Mensch-und-Computer dokumentiert die weiterführenden Tutorials die vertiefend zu den Tagungsvorträgen in Workshops statfinden. Es werden Case Studies aufgezeigt undÜbungen durchgeführt.

Mensch & Computer ist die jährliche Tagung des Fachbereichs Mensch-Computer-Interaktion der Gesellschaft für Informatik (GI) und die führende Veranstaltung zum Thema Mensch-Computer-Interaktion im deutschsprachigen Raum. Die Tagung bietet eine Plattform für Beiträge und Diskussionen zu innovativen Formen der Mensch-Technik-Interaktion, nutzerorientierten Entwicklungsmethoden, interaktiven Anwendungen und weiteren Themen aus dem Spannungsfeld zwischen Nutzern, Organisationen und Gemeinschaften und Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologien. Die Mensch & Computer 2010 steht unter dem Motto'Interaktive Kulturen'und reflektiert damit die Tatsache, dass interaktive Medien und Systeme in tiefgreifender Weise unsere Arbeits- und Lebensweisen und damit auch unseren sozialen Kontext und unser Selbstverständnis verändern. Die Tagung präsentiert innovative Forschungsergebnisse, bietet ein Forum für den Austausch zwischen Wissenschaftlern und Praktikern und macht die Bedeutung des Themas in Forschung, Praxis und Ausbildung sichtbar. WelcometotheproceedingsofPervasive2005,The3rdInternationalConference on Pervasive Computing. We were honored to serve as chairs in this conference series, which was founded in 2002 and is now emerging as one of the most respected venues for publication of research on pervasive and ubiquitous c- puting. The conference is attracting research submissions of very high quality from all over the world, and from researchers representing a variety of disciplines and perspectives. We thank everybody who submitted their papers to Pervasive, demonstrating the extensive work going on in this area; and the Program C- mittee and our external reviewers who spent countless hours providing feedback and guidance in order to create the?nal program. This year we received 130 submissions. By the end of the review process, we had 566 reviews on?le, as well as long email discussion threads for each paper. In an initial phase we had each paper reviewed by two members of the Program Committee and two external reviewers. In a second phase, each paper wasdiscussedbyitsfourreviewerstoreachconsensusastoitstechnicalmerit. At the end of this phase, the top-rated papers as well as those that were found to be most controversial were selected for discussion at the PC meeting and reviewed by an additional PC member. The result being that each paper discussed in the PC meeting had 5 reviews and was read by three people who participated in the meeting, leading to a very informed and lively discussion.

UbiComp 2003, the 5th Annual Conference on Ubiquitous Computing, is the premier forum for presentation of research results in all areas relating to the - sign, implementation, deployment and evaluation of ubiquitous computing te- nologies. The conference brings together leading researchers, from a variety of disciplines, perspectives and geographical areas, who are exploring the impli- tions of computing as it moves beyond the desktop and becomes increasingly interwoven into the fabrics of our lives. This volume, the conference proceedings, contains the entire collection of high-quality full papers and technical notes from UbiComp 2003. There were 16 full papers in this year's conference, selected by our international program committee from among 117 submissions. There were also 11 technical notes in the program: 8 taken from the 36 technical note submissions, and 3 that were adapted from full paper submissions. We are very grateful to Tim Kindberg and Bernt Schiele, our Technical Notes Co-chairs, and to all the authors and reviewers of both papers and technical notes who contributed to maintaining the high standards of quality for the conference. In addition to the full papers and technical notes, UbiComp 2003 also p- vided a number of other participation categories, including workshops, dem- strations, interactive posters, a panel, a doctoral colloquium and a video p- gram. While accepted submissions in these categories were also of high quality, timing and size constraints prevented us from including them in this volume.
