In this article, we explore machine learning techniques using support vector machines with two novel approaches: exotic and physics-informed support vector machines. Exotic support vector machines employ unconventional techniques such as genetic algorithms and boosting. Physics-informed support vector machines integrate the physics dynamics of a given high-energy physics process in a straightforward manner. The goal is to efficiently distinguish signal and background events in high-energy physics collision data. To test our algorithms, we perform computational experiments with simulated Drell-Yan events in proton-proton collisions. In this paper, we research into the anomalous Chromomagnetic Dipole Moment (CMDM), denoted as $\hat{\mu}_{q}^{BLHM}$, of the light quarks $q=(u, c, d, s, b)$ within the framework of the Bestest Little Higgs Model (BLHM) as an extension of the Standard Model (SM). Our investigation encompasses novel interactions among the light quarks, the heavy quark $B$, and the heavy bosons $(W^{\prime\pm}, H^{\pm}, \phi^{\pm}, \eta^{\pm})$, incorporating the extended Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa (CKM) matrix characteristic of the BLHM. In the Bestest Little Higgs Model (BLHM) scenario, we analyze the branching ratios and production cross-section of the heavy Higgs boson $H_0$. The analysis is performed at the tree level and the one-loop level. In addition, we present results of the possible production of the heavy Higgs boson $H_0$ via gluon fusion for the center-of-mass energies and the integrated luminosities of the LHC, HE-LHC, HL-LHC, and FCC-hh. We investigate the anomalous Chromomagnetic Dipole Moment (CMDM), $\hat{\mu}^{BLHM}_t$ of the top quark in the Bestest Little Higgs Model (BLHM). We include new interactions with the involvement of the extended CKM matrix of the BLHM and we explore most of the allowed parameter space, obtaining multiple CMDM in the range of $10^{-4}-10^{-2}$. We consider experimental and model parameter uncertainties to integrate them into all our calculations using a Monte Carlo method. This enables us to determine the extent to which deviations arising from experimental errors can be accommodated within the statistical errors of the model and which relate to the physics framework of the BLHM, guiding future theory, phenomenological, and experimental research.

This paper investigates the effects of parameters in the Bestest Little Higgs Model (BLHM) on rare flavor-changing decays of the top quark. As a result, flavor-changing phenomena are introduced in the BLHM for the first time. In this study, we incorporate new flavor mixing terms between the light quarks of the Standard Model (SM) and the fermions and bosons of the BLHM. We compute the one-loop contributions from the heavy quark $(B)$ and the heavy bosons $(W^{\prime\pm}, \phi^{\pm}, \eta^{\pm},H^{\pm})$. Our findings demonstrate that the branching ratios of decays $t\to qV$ and $t\to qh^0$, where $q=u,c$ and $V=Z, \gamma, g $, exhibit improvements compared to their counterparts in the SM, except for the gluon case. Moreover, we observe that the processes with higher sensitivity are $Br(t\to cZ)\sim 10^{-5}$, $Br(t\to c\gamma)\sim 10^{-6}$ and $Br(t \to ch^0) \sim 10^{-8}$ within the appropriate parameter space., Comment: 13 pages and 10 figures

In this paper, using a Bestest Little Higgs Model (BLHM) approach, we obtain bounds on the top-quark electromagnetic and weak dipole moments. These physical observables are sensitive to quantum corrections induced by virtual particles at the one-loop level. The contributions of the virtual particles are obtained from the vertices of scalar bosons, vector bosons, and heavy quarks: $tq_iS_i$, $S_i=h_0, H_0, A_0, \phi^{0}, \eta^{0}, \sigma, H^{\pm}, \phi^{\pm}, \eta^{\pm}$; $tq_iV_i$, $V_i= \gamma, Z, W, Z', W'$; $V q_i\bar q_i$, $V=\gamma,Z$, $q_i=b, t, B, T, T_5, T_6, T^{2/3}, T^{5/3}$; $ V W^{-}_{i}\Phi^{+}_i $, $W_{i} \equiv W, W'$, $\Phi^{\pm}_{i}= \phi^{\pm}, \eta^{\pm}$; $ZZH_i$, $H_i=h_0, H_0$; $ZZ' H_i$; and $VW'W'$. With these new contributions, we evaluated the electroweak dipole moments $ a_t$, $ a^{W}_t $, $ d_t $ and $ d^{W}_{t} $ of the top-quark in the diagonalization schemes $y_2 > y_3$ and $y_2 < y_3$ to the Yukawa couplings. For the BLHM parameters, we choose the following values of $m_{A_0}= 1000$ GeV, $m_{\eta^0}= 100$ GeV, $f=[1000, 3000]$ GeV, $F=[3000, 6000]$ GeV and $\tan\beta=3$, which give the best sensitivity on the electroweak dipole moments of the top-quark in this context: $a_t=1.39 \times 10^{-4} + i\, 6.55 \times 10^{-5}$; $a^{W}_t=6.31 \times 10^{-5} - i\, 1.39 \times 10^{-5}$ for the $y_2 > y_3 $ scenario, while $a_t= 2.12 \times 10^{-4} + i\, 4.49 \times 10^{-5}$; $a^{W}_t= 2.13 \times 10^{-4} - i\, 1.34 \times 10^{-5}$ for the $y_2 < y_3 $ scenario., Comment: 77 pages, 67 figures. arXiv admin note: text overlap with arXiv:2208.09090, arXiv:2202.12738

Aspects of top quark physics can be studied at a future Circular Electron-Positron Collider (CEPC). In particular, Flavor-Changing Neutral Current interactions (FCNC) of the top quark can be studied even with a center-of-mass energy from $\sqrt{s}\gtrsim m_t$ to $\sqrt{s}=240$ GeV, through the production a single top quark in association with a charm quark, which can arise in several scenarios of new physics. We explore here this signal within the Left-Right Mirror Model, which is a Left-Right model that includes mirror fermions; this model is motivated as a possible solution to the strong CP problem and by its rich phenomenology. We find that for particular scenarios of the model parameters, which are in agreement with the most up-to-date experimental constraints, the signal coming from the process $e^+e^-\to V \to tc$ ($V=Z,\,Z^{\prime}$) provide a detectable signal and thus it can give evidence for FCNC interactions; in these scenarios the mass of a new neutral gauge boson can be as high as $m_{Z'}=7$ TeV., Comment: 14 pages and 11 figures, to be published in The European Physical Journal Plus

We calculate the chromomagnetic dipole moment of the top quark, $\hat{\mu}_t$, in the context of the Bestest Little Higgs model. This extension of the Standard Model aims to solve the hierarchy problem without fine tuning, by introducing one-loop corrections to the Higgs boson mass through heavy top quark partners and heavy gauge bosons. We found that the largest resulting value for the chromomagnetic is $\hat{\mu}_t\sim 10^{-5}$ and the lowest is around $10^{-6}$, mainly due to the Higgs boson of the Standard Model, which couples to both the top quark of the Standard Model and its heavy partners. We revisit the anomalous chromomagnetic dipole moment in the Standard Model and show that its triple gluon vertex contribution, with the on-shell gluon ($q^2=0$), generates an infrared divergent pole. Consequently, the chromomagnetic dipole should not be perturbatively evaluated at $q^2=0$. Focusing on this top quark anomaly, denoted as $\hat{\mu}_t(q^2)$, we compute it with the off-shell gluon with a large momentum transfer, just as the $\alpha_s(m_Z^2)$ convention scale, for both spacelike $q^2=-m_Z^2$ and timelike $q^2=m_Z^2$ cases. We found that $\hat{\mu}_t(-m_Z^2)$ $=$ $-0.0224$ $-0.000925i$ and $\hat{\mu}_t(m_Z^2)$ $=$ $-0.0133$ $-0.0267i$. Our $\mathrm{Re}\thinspace\hat{\mu}_t(-m_Z^2)$ matches well with the current experimental value $\hat{\mu}_t^\mathrm{Exp}=-0.024_{-0.009}^{+0.013}(\mathrm{stat})_{-0.011}^{+0.016}(\mathrm{syst})$, and the $\mathrm{Im}\thinspace\hat{\mu}_t(-m_Z^2)$ part is induced by flavour changing charged currents., Comment: 20 pages, 4 figures, this version matches with the published one

\texttt{SpaceMath v.2.0} with Machine Learning is an extension of the previous version which we implement observables related with LHC Higgs boson data and their projections for the High Luminosity and High Energy Large Hadron Collider. In this version we implemented processes with Flavor-Changing Neutral Currents at tree and one-loop level, namely, i) Radiative decays $\ell_i\to\ell_j \gamma$, ii) $\ell_i\to \ell_j \ell_k \bar{\ell}_k$ decays ($\ell_i=\tau,\,\mu$, $\ell_{j,\,k}=\mu,\,e$, with $\ell_i \neq\ell_j \neq\ell_k$) and iii) anomalous magnetic dipole moment of the muon $\delta a_\mu$. \texttt{SpaceMath v.2.0} is able to find allowed regions for free parameters of models with both real and complex singlets and real and complex doublets using the processes previously mentioned within a friendly interface and an intuitive environment in which the user enters the couplings symbolically, sets parameters and execute \texttt{Mathematica} in the traditional way. As result, both tables as plots with values and areas agree with experimental data are generated. We present examples using \texttt{SpaceMath v.2.0} to analyze the free \textit{Two-Higgs Doublet Model of type III} parameter space, step by step, in order to start new users in a fast and efficient way. Finally, we have implemented in this version of \texttt{SpaceMath} algorithms of Machine Learning to generate specific Benchmark Points to be used directly in numerical evaluations of calculations of physical observables., Comment: 26 pages, 9 figures, 6 tables

We study the flavor-changing decay $h\to \tau \mu$ with $\tau=\tau^-+\tau^+$ and $\mu=\mu^-+\mu^+$ of a Higgs boson at future hadron colliders, namely: a) High Luminosity Large Hadron Collider, b) High Energy Large Hadron Collider and c) Future hadron-hadron Circular Collider. The theoretical framework adopted is the Two-Higgs-Doublet Model type III. The free model parameters involved in the calculation are constrained through Higgs boson data, Lepton Flavor Violating processes and the muon anomalous magnetic dipole moment; later they are used to analyze the branching ratio of the decay $h\to\tau\mu$ and to evaluate the $gg\to h$ production cross section. We find that at the Large Hadron Collider is not possible to claim for evidence of the decay $h\to\tau\mu$ achieving a signal significance about of $1.46\sigma$ by considering its final integrated luminosity, 300 fb$^{-1}$. More promising results arise at the High Luminosity Large Hadron Collider in which a prediction of 4.6$\sigma$ when an integrated luminosity of 3 ab$^{-1}$ and $\tan\beta=8$ are achieved. Meanwhile, at the High Energy Large Hadron Collider (Future hadron-hadron Circular Collider) a potential discovery could be claimed with a signal significance around $5.04\sigma$ ($5.43\sigma$) for an integrated luminosity of 3 ab$^{-1}$ and $\tan\beta=8$ (5 ab$^{-1}$ and $\tan\beta=4$)., Comment: Accepted version to be published in JHEP, typos corrected, added citations

We study the observability for the flavor-changing decay of a top quark $t\to ch$ at the LHC and future hadron colliders, namely, High-Luminosity LHC (HL-LHC), High-Energy LHC (HE-LHC) and Future Circular hadron-hadron Collider (FCC-hh). Two scenarios in which the Higgs boson could decay: into a quark bottom pair $(\textit{bb-channel})$ and two photons $(\textit{$\gamma\gamma$-channel})$ are analyzed. A Monte Carlo analysis of the signal and the Standard Model (SM) background is computed. Center-of-mass energies of $\sqrt{s}=14,\;27\; $\text{and}$\; 100$ TeV and integrated luminosities from $0.3$ to $30$ ab$^{-1}$ are explored. The theoretical framework adopted in this work is the Type-III Two-Higgs Doublet Model (THDM-III) for which, constraints on the parameter space from the Higgs boson coupling modifiers $\kappa_i$ are presented and used in order to evaluate the branching ratio of the $t\to ch$ decay and the ($pp\to t\bar{t},\,t\to ch$) production cross section. We find that with the integrated luminosity achieved at the LHC, the $t\to ch$ decay is out of the reach of detection. More promising results emerge for the HL-LHC, HE-LHC and FCC-hh in which potential discoveries could be claimed., Comment: Version to be published in JHEP

Accurate localisation of crop remains highly challenging in unstructured environments such as farms. Many of the developed systems still rely on the use of hand selected features for crop identification and often neglect the estimation of crop quantity and quality, which is key to assigning labor during farming processes. To alleviate these limitations we present a robotic vision system that can accurately estimate the quantity and quality of sweet pepper (Capsicum annuum L), a key horticultural crop. This system consists of three parts: detection, quality estimation, and tracking. Efficient detection is achieved using the FasterRCNN framework. Quality is then estimated in the same framework by learning a parallel layer which we show experimentally results in superior performance than treating quality as extra classes in the traditional Faster-RCNN framework. Evaluation of these two techniques outlines the improved performance of the parallel layer, where we achieve an F1 score of 77.3 for the parallel technique yet only 72.5 for the best scoring (red) of the multi-class implementation. To track the crop we present a tracking via detection approach, which uses the FasterRCNN with parallel layers, that is also a vision-only solution. This approach is cheap to implement as it only requires a camera and in experiments across 2 days we show that our proposed system can accurately estimate the number of sweet pepper present, within 4.1% of the ground truth.

The main result shows how an orthogonal basis for such an inner product can be constructed for certain weight functions, in particular, for product Laguerre and product Gegenbauer weight functions, which serve as primary examples.

Within the framework of a $Z'$ model with non-universal leptonic couplings, we analyze possible signatures of leptonic number violation effects at LHC. Let $\{\mathbb{P}_n\}_{n\ge 0}$ and $\{\mathbb{Q}_n\}_{n\ge 0}$ be two monic polynomial systems in several variables satisfying the linear structure relation $$\mathbb{Q}_n = \mathbb{P}_n + M_n \mathbb{P}_{n-1}, \quad n\ge 1,$$ where $M_n$ are constant matrices of proper size and $\mathbb{Q}_0 = \mathbb{P}_0$. The aim of our work is twofold. First, if both polynomial systems are orthogonal, characterize when that linear structure relation exists in terms of their moment functionals. We study the effect that the heterogeneity present among the elements of an ensemble of coupled excitable neurons have on the collective response of the system to an external signal. We have considered two different interaction scenarios, one in which the neurons are diffusively coupled and another in which the neurons interact via pulse-like signals. We found that the type of interaction between the neurons has a crucial role in determining the response of the system to the external modulation. We develop a mean-field theory based on an order parameter expansion that quantitatively reproduces the numerical results in the case of diffusive coupling.

Let $d\nu$ be a measure in $\mathbb{R}^d$ obtained from adding a set of mass points to another measure $d\mu$. Orthogonal polynomials in several variables associated with $d\nu$ can be explicitly expressed in terms of orthogonal polynomials associated with $d\mu$, so are the reproducing kernels associated with these polynomials. The explicit formulas that are obtained are further specialized in the case of Jacobi measure on the simplex, with mass points added on the vertices, which are then used to study the asymptotics kernel functions for $d\nu$.

The emission of e+e- pairs from C+C collisions at an incident energy of 1 GeV per nucleon has been investigated. The measured production probabilities, spanning from the pi0-Dalitz to the rho/omega! invariant-mass region, display a strong excess above the cocktail of standard hadronic sources. The bombarding-energy dependence of this excess is found to scale like pion production, rather than like eta production.
