Our framework incorporates exponential AoI metrics and emphasizes secrecy rate to tackle eavesdropping and jamming threats. We introduce a transformer-enhanced Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL) approach to optimize task offloading processes. Internet of Things (IoT) involves sensors for monitoring and wireless networks for efficient communication. However, resource-constrained IoT devices and limitations in existing wireless technologies hinder its full potential. Integrating Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) into IoT networks can address some challenges by expanding its' coverage, providing security, and bringing computing closer to IoT devices. Nevertheless, effective data collection in UAV-assisted IoT networks is hampered by factors, including dynamic UAV behavior, environmental variables, connectivity instability, and security considerations. In this survey, we first explore UAV-based IoT networks, focusing on communication and networking aspects. Next, we cover various UAV-based data collection methods their advantages and disadvantages, followed by a discussion on performance metrics for data collection. As this article primarily emphasizes reliable and efficient data collection in UAV-assisted IoT networks, we briefly discuss existing research on data accuracy and consistency, network connectivity, and data security and privacy to provide insights into reliable data collection. Additionally, we discuss efficient data collection strategies in UAV-based IoT networks, covering trajectory and path planning, collision avoidance, sensor network clustering, data aggregation, UAV swarm formations, and artificial intelligence for optimization. We also present two use cases of UAVs as a service for enhancing data collection reliability and efficiency. Recent research works have proposed machine learning models for classifying IoT devices connected to a network. However, there is still a practical challenge of not having all devices (and hence their traffic) available during the training of a model. This essentially means, during the operational phase, we need to classify new devices not seen in the training phase. To address this challenge, we propose ZEST -- a ZSL (zero-shot learning) framework based on self-attention for classifying both seen and unseen devices. ZEST consists of i) a self-attention based network feature extractor, termed SANE, for extracting latent space representations of IoT traffic, ii) a generative model that trains a decoder using latent features to generate pseudo data, and iii) a supervised model that is trained on the generated pseudo data for classifying devices. We carry out extensive experiments on real IoT traffic data; our experiments demonstrate i) ZEST achieves significant improvement (in terms of accuracy) over the baselines; ii) SANE is able to better extract meaningful representations than LSTM which has been commonly used for modeling network traffic., Comment: 9 pages, 6 figures, 3 tables

Biomedical knowledge is growing in an astounding pace with a majority of this knowledge is represented as scientific publications. Text mining tools and methods represents automatic approaches for extracting hidden patterns and trends from this semi structured and unstructured data. In Biomedical Text mining, Literature Based Discovery (LBD) is the process of automatically discovering novel associations between medical terms otherwise mentioned in disjoint literature sets. LBD approaches proven to be successfully reducing the discovery time of potential associations that are hidden in the vast amount of scientific literature. The process focuses on creating concept profiles for medical terms such as a disease or symptom and connecting it with a drug and treatment based on the statistical significance of the shared profiles. This knowledge discovery approach introduced in 1989 still remains as a core task in text mining. Currently the ABC principle based two approaches namely open discovery and closed discovery are mostly explored in LBD process. This review starts with general introduction about text mining followed by biomedical text mining and introduces various literature resources such as MEDLINE, UMLS, MESH, and SemMedDB. This is followed by brief introduction of the core ABC principle and its associated two approaches open discovery and closed discovery in LBD process. This review also discusses the deep learning applications in LBD by reviewing the role of transformer models and neural networks based LBD models and its future aspects. In this work, we investigate an online service management problem in vehicular edge computing networks. To satisfy the varying service demands of mobile vehicles, a service management framework is required to make decisions on the service lifecycle to maintain good network performance. We describe the service lifecycle consists of creating an instance of a given service (\textit{scale-out}), moving an instance to a different edge node (\textit{migration}), and/or termination of an underutilized instance (\textit{scale-in}). In this paper, we propose an efficient online algorithm to perform service management in each time slot, where performance quality in the current time slot, the service demand in future time slots, and the minimal observed delay by vehicles and the minimal migration delay are considered while making the decisions on service lifecycle. Here, the future service demand is computed from a gated recurrent unit (GRU)-based prediction model, and the network performance quality is estimated using a deep reinforcement learning (DRL) model which has the ability to interact with the vehicular environment in real-time. The choice of optimal edge location to deploy a service instance at different times is based on our proposed optimization formulations. Attack-resilience is essential to maintain continuous service availability in Internet of Vehicles (IoV) where critical tasks are carried out. In this paper, we address the problem of service outage due to attacks on the edge network and propose an attack-resilient mapping of vehicles to edge nodes that host different types of service instances considering resource efficiency and delay. The distribution of service requests (of an attack-affected edge node) to multiple attack-free edge nodes is performed with an optimal vehicle-to-edge (V2E) mapping. The optimal mapping aims to improve the user experience with minimal delay while considering fair usage of edge capacities and balanced load upon a failure over different edge nodes. The proposed mapping solution is used within a deep reinforcement learning (DRL) based framework to effectively deal with the dynamism in service requests and vehicle mobility. Achieving network resilience in terms of attack tolerance and service availability is critically important for Internet of Vehicles (IoV) networks where vehicles require assistance in sensitive and safety-critical applications like driving. It is particularly challenging in time-varying conditions of IoV traffic. In this paper, we study an attack-resilient optimal service placement problem to ensure disruption-free service availability to the users in edge-enabled IoV network. Our work aims to improve the user experience while minimizing the delay and simultaneously considering efficient utilization of limited edge resources. First, an optimal service placement is performed while considering traffic dynamicity and meeting the service requirements with the use of a deep reinforcement learning (DRL) framework. Next, an optimal secondary mapping and service recovery placements are performed to account for the attacks/failures at the edge. The use of DRL framework helps to adapt to dynamically varying IoV traffic and service demands. In this work, we develop three ILP models and use them in the DRL-based framework to provide attack-resilient service placement and ensure service availability with efficient network performance. Integration of machine learning (ML) in 5G-based Internet of Vehicles (IoV) networks has enabled intelligent transportation and smart traffic management. Nonetheless, the security against adversarial poisoning attacks is also increasingly becoming a challenging task. Specifically, Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL) is one of the widely used ML designs in IoV applications. The standard ML security techniques are not effective in DRL where the algorithm learns to solve sequential decision-making through continuous interaction with the environment, and the environment is time-varying, dynamic, and mobile. In this paper, we propose a Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU)-based federated continual learning (GFCL) anomaly detection framework against Sybil-based data poisoning attacks in IoV. The objective is to present a lightweight and scalable framework that learns and detects the illegitimate behavior without having a-priori training dataset consisting of attack samples. We use GRU to predict a future data sequence to analyze and detect illegitimate behavior from vehicles in a federated learning-based distributed manner. We investigate the performance of our framework using real-world vehicle mobility traces. Ultrasound imaging is a commonly used technology for visualising patient anatomy in real-time during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. High operator dependency and low reproducibility make ultrasound imaging and interpretation challenging with a steep learning curve. Automatic image classification using deep learning has the potential to overcome some of these challenges by supporting ultrasound training in novices, as well as aiding ultrasound image interpretation in patient with complex pathology for more experienced practitioners. However, the use of deep learning methods requires a large amount of data in order to provide accurate results. Labelling large ultrasound datasets is a challenging task because labels are retrospectively assigned to 2D images without the 3D spatial context available in vivo or that would be inferred while visually tracking structures between frames during the procedure. In this work, we propose a multi-modal convolutional neural network (CNN) architecture that labels endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) images from raw verbal comments provided by a clinician during the procedure. We use a CNN composed of two branches, one for voice data and another for image data, which are joined to predict image labels from the spoken names of anatomical landmarks. The network was trained using recorded verbal comments from expert operators. Our results show a prediction accuracy of 76% at image level on a dataset with 5 different labels. We conclude that the addition of spoken commentaries can increase the performance of ultrasound image classification, and eliminate the burden of manually labelling large EUS datasets necessary for deep learning applications., Comment: Submitted to IEEE TMI

Machine learning (ML) has made incredible impacts and transformations in a wide range of vehicular applications. As the use of ML in Internet of Vehicles (IoV) continues to advance, adversarial threats and their impact have become an important subject of research worth exploring. In this paper, we focus on Sybil-based adversarial threats against a deep reinforcement learning (DRL)-assisted IoV framework and more specifically, DRL-based dynamic service placement in IoV. We carry out an experimental study with real vehicle trajectories to analyze the impact on service delay and resource congestion under different attack scenarios for the DRL-based dynamic service placement application. We further investigate the impact of the proportion of Sybil-attacked vehicles in the network. The growth of 5G and edge computing has enabled the emergence of Internet of Vehicles. It supports different types of services with different resource and service requirements. However, limited resources at the edge, high mobility of vehicles, increasing demand, and dynamicity in service request-types have made service placement a challenging task. A typical static placement solution is not effective as it does not consider the traffic mobility and service dynamics. Handling dynamics in IoV for service placement is an important and challenging problem which is the primary focus of our work in this paper. We propose a Deep Reinforcement Learning-based Dynamic Service Placement (DRLD-SP) framework with the objective of minimizing the maximum edge resource usage and service delay while considering the vehicle's mobility, varying demand, and dynamics in the requests for different types of services. We use SUMO and MATLAB to carry out simulation experiments. Machine Learning (ML) has emerged as an attractive and viable technique to provide effective solutions for a wide range of application domains. An important application domain is vehicular networks wherein ML-based approaches are found to be very useful to address various problems. The use of wireless communication between vehicular nodes and/or infrastructure makes it vulnerable to different types of attacks. In this regard, ML and its variants are gaining popularity to detect attacks and deal with different kinds of security issues in vehicular communication. In this paper, we present a comprehensive survey of ML-based techniques for different security issues in vehicular networks. We first briefly introduce the basics of vehicular networks and different types of communications. Apart from the traditional vehicular networks, we also consider modern vehicular network architectures. We propose a taxonomy of security attacks in vehicular networks and discuss various security challenges and requirements. We classify the ML techniques developed in the literature according to their use in vehicular network applications. We explain the solution approaches and working principles of these ML techniques in addressing various security challenges and provide insightful discussion. The limitations and challenges in using ML-based methods in vehicular networks are discussed. The emergence of technologies such as 5G and mobile edge computing has enabled provisioning of different types of services with different resource and service requirements to the vehicles in a vehicular network.The growing complexity of traffic mobility patterns and dynamics in the requests for different types of services has made service placement a challenging task. A typical static placement solution is not effective as it does not consider the traffic mobility and service dynamics. In this paper, we propose a reinforcement learning-based dynamic (RL-Dynamic) service placement framework to find the optimal placement of services at the edge servers while considering the vehicle's mobility and dynamics in the requests for different types of services. We use SUMO and MATLAB to carry out simulation experiments. In our learning framework, for the decision module, we consider two alternative objective functions-minimizing delay and minimizing edge server utilization. We developed an ILP based problem formulation for the two objective functions. Classification of IoT devices into different types is of paramount importance, from multiple perspectives, including security and privacy aspects. Recent works have explored machine learning techniques for fingerprinting (or classifying) IoT devices, with promising results. However, existing works have assumed that the features used for building the machine learning models are readily available or can be easily extracted from the network traffic; in other words, they do not consider the costs associated with feature extraction. In this work, we take a more realistic approach, and argue that feature extraction has a cost, and the costs are different for different features. We also take a step forward from the current practice of considering the misclassification loss as a binary value, and make a case for different losses based on the misclassification performance. Thereby, and more importantly, we introduce the notion of risk for IoT device classification. We define and formulate the problem of cost-aware IoT device classification. This being a combinatorial optimization problem, we develop a novel algorithm to solve it in a fast and effective way using the Cross-Entropy (CE) based stochastic optimization technique. Using traffic of real devices, we demonstrate the capability of the CE based algorithm in selecting features with minimal risk of misclassification while keeping the cost for feature extraction within a specified limit., Comment: 33 pages, 9 figures

In this paper, we give a characterization of the star graph, among the trees, in terms of invertibility of the associated eccentricity matrix. The largest eigenvalue of $\varepsilon(G)$ is called the $\varepsilon$-spectral radius, and the eccentricity energy (or the $\varepsilon$-energy) of $G$ is the sum of the absolute values of the eigenvalues of $\varepsilon(G)$. In the medical domain, the lack of large training data sets and benchmarks is often a limiting factor for training deep neural networks. In contrast to expensive manual labeling, computer simulations can generate large and fully labeled data sets with a minimum of manual effort. However, models that are trained on simulated data usually do not translate well to real scenarios. To bridge the domain gap between simulated and real laparoscopic images, we exploit recent advances in unpaired image-to-image translation. We extent an image-to-image translation method to generate a diverse multitude of realistically looking synthetic images based on images from a simple laparoscopy simulation. By incorporating means to ensure that the image content is preserved during the translation process, we ensure that the labels given for the simulated images remain valid for their realistically looking translations. This way, we are able to generate a large, fully labeled synthetic data set of laparoscopic images with realistic appearance. We show that this data set can be used to train models for the task of liver segmentation of laparoscopic images. We achieve average dice scores of up to 0.89 in some patients without manually labeling a single laparoscopic image and show that using our synthetic data to pre-train models can greatly improve their performance. Recent developments in intelligent transport systems (ITS) based on smart mobility significantly improves safety and security over roads and highways. ITS networks are comprised of the Internet-connected vehicles (mobile nodes), roadside units (RSU), cellular base stations and conventional core network routers to create a complete data transmission platform that provides real-time traffic information and enable prediction of future traffic conditions. However, the heterogeneity and complexity of the underlying ITS networks raise new challenges in intrusion prevention of mobile network nodes and detection of security attacks due to such highly vulnerable mobile nodes. In this paper, we consider a new type of security attack referred to as crossfire attack, which involves a large number of compromised nodes that generate low-intensity traffic in a temporally coordinated fashion such that target links or hosts (victims) are disconnected from the rest of the network. Detection of such attacks is challenging since the attacking traffic flows are indistinguishable from the legitimate flows. With the support of software-defined networking that enables dynamic network monitoring and traffic characteristic extraction, we develop a machine learning model that can learn the temporal correlation among traffic flows traversing in the ITS network, thus differentiating legitimate flows from coordinated attacking flows. We use different deep learning algorithms to train the model and study the performance using Mininet-WiFi emulation platform. With the proliferation of network devices and rapid development in information technology, networks such as Internet of Things are increasing in size and becoming more complex with heterogeneous wired and wireless links. In such networks, link faults may result in a link disconnection without immediate replacement or a link reconnection, e.g., a wireless node changes its access point. Identifying whether a link disconnection or a link reconnection has occurred and localizing the failed link become a challenging problem. An active probing approach requires a long time to probe the network by sending signaling messages on different paths, thus incurring significant communication delay and overhead. In this paper, we adopt a passive approach and develop a three-stage machine learning-based technique, namely ML-LFIL that identifies and localizes link faults by analyzing the measurements captured from the normal traffic flows, including aggregate flow rate, end-to-end delay and packet loss. ML-LFIL learns the traffic behavior in normal working conditions and different link fault scenarios. We train the learning model using support vector machine, multi-layer perceptron and random forest. We implement ML-LFIL and carry out extensive experiments using Mininet platform. Induction of thermal damage to tissue through delivery of microwave energy is frequently applied in surgery to destroy diseased tissue such as cancer cells. Minimization of unwanted harm to healthy tissue is still achieved subjectively, and the surgeon has few tools at their disposal to monitor the spread of the induced damage. This work describes the use of optical methods to monitor the time course of changes to the tissue during delivery of microwave energy in the porcine liver. Multispectral imaging and diffuse reflectance spectroscopy are used to monitor temporal changes in optical properties in parallel with thermal imaging. The results demonstrate the ability to monitor the spatial extent of thermal damage on a whole organ, including possible secondary effects due to vascular damage. Future applications of this type of imaging may see the multispectral data used as a feedback mechanism to avoid collateral damage to critical healthy structures and to potentially verify sufficient application of energy to the diseased tissue., Comment: 4pg,6fig. This is the era of smart devices or things which are fueling the growth of Internet of Things (IoT). It is impacting every sphere around us, making our life dependent on this technological feat. It is of high concern that these smart things are being targeted by cyber criminals taking advantage of heterogeneity, minuscule security features and vulnerabilities within these devices. Conventional centralized IT security measures have limitations in terms of scalability and cost. Therefore, these smart devices are required to be monitored closer to their location ideally at the edge of IoT networks. In this paper, we explore how some security features can be implemented at the network edge to secure these smart devices. We explain the importance of Network Function Virtualization (NFV) in order to deploy security functions at the network edge. To achieve this goal, we introduce NETRA - a novel lightweight Docker-based architecture for virtualizing network functions to provide IoT security. Also, we highlight the advantages of the proposed architecture over the standardized NFV architecture in terms of storage, memory usage, latency, throughput, load average, scalability and explain why the standardized architecture is not suitable for IoT. We study the performance of proposed NFV based edge analysis for IoT security and show that attacks can be detected with more than 95% accuracy in less than a second.

Irreversible electroporation (IRE) is a soft tissue ablation technique suitable for treatment of inoperable tumours in the pancreas. The process involves applying a high voltage electric field to the tissue containing the mass using needle electrodes, leaving cancerous cells irreversibly damaged and vulnerable to apoptosis. Efficacy of the treatment depends heavily on the accuracy of needle placement and requires a high degree of skill from the operator. In this paper, we describe an Augmented Reality (AR) system designed to overcome the challenges associated with planning and guiding the needle insertion process. Our solution, based on the HoloLens (Microsoft, USA) platform, tracks the position of the headset, needle electrodes and ultrasound (US) probe in space. The proof of concept implementation of the system uses this tracking data to render real-time holographic guides on the HoloLens, giving the user insight into the current progress of needle insertion and an indication of the target needle trajectory. The operator's field of view is augmented using visual guides and real-time US feed rendered on a holographic plane, eliminating the need to consult external monitors. The integral measurement of the $^{12}$C(n,p)$^{12}$B reaction was performed at the neutron time of flight facility n_TOF at CERN. The total number of $^{12}$B nuclei produced per neutron pulse of the n_TOF beam was determined using the activation technique in combination with a time of flight technique. The cross section is integrated over the n_TOF neutron energy spectrum from reaction threshold at 13.6 MeV to 10 GeV. Having been measured up to 1 GeV on basis of the $^{235}$U(n,f) reaction, the neutron energy spectrum above 200 MeV has been reevaluated due to the recent extension of the cross section reference for this particular reaction, which is otherwise considered a standard up to 200 MeV. The results from the dedicated GEANT4 simulations have been used to evaluate the neutron flux from 1 GeV up to 10 GeV. The experimental results related to the $^{12}$C(n,p)$^{12}$B reaction are compared with the evaluated cross sections from major libraries and with the predictions of different GEANT4 models, which mostly underestimate the $^{12}$B production. On the contrary, a good reproduction of the integral cross section derived from measurements is obtained with TALYS-1.6 calculations, with optimized parameters., Comment: 14 pages, 11 figures, 3 tables

Studying cyber-physical system (CPS) for a given network protocol and processor schedules is a challenging task. This investigation illustrates the role of TrueTime a MATLAB package for simulating CPS encapsulating information on processor schedules, and network protocols. Properties of CPS such as temporal behaviors, performance and stability can be studied using the TrueTime tool. Furthermore, these simulations can be used to benchmark design and propose design alternatives. The procedure to use the toolbox for simulations and instantiate various blocks to study CPS is illustrated in the paper. Finally, an illustrative example has been presented of CPS simulation with wireless network. Our example demonstrates that TrueTime is a useful tool for studying CPS performance, timing behavior, schedulability analysis, and studying suitable network protocols., Comment: 6 pages

The $^{238}$U to $^{235}$U fission cross section ratio has been determined at n_TOF up to $\sim$1 GeV, with two different detection systems, in different geometrical configurations. A total of four datasets have been collected and compared. They are all consistent to each other within the relative systematic uncertainty of 3-4%. The data collected at n_TOF have been suitably combined to yield a unique fission cross section ratio as a function of the neutron energy. The result confirms current evaluations up to 200 MeV. A good agreement is also observed with theoretical calculations based on the INCL++/Gemini++ combination up to the highest measured energy. The n_TOF results may help solving a long-standing discrepancy between the two most important experimental dataset available so far above 20 MeV, while extending the neutron energy range for the first time up to $\sim$1 GeV.

The integral cross section of the $^{12}$C($n,p$)$^{12}$B reaction has been determined for the first time in the neutron energy range from threshold to several GeV at the n_TOF facility at CERN. The measurement relies on the activation technique, with the $\beta$-decay of $^{12}$B measured over a period of four half-lives within the same neutron bunch in which the reaction occurs. The results indicate that model predictions, used in a variety of applications, are mostly inadequate. The neutron sensitivity of the C$_6$D$_6$ detector setup used at n_TOF for capture measurements has been studied by means of detailed GEANT4 simulations. A realistic software replica of the entire n_TOF experimental hall, including the neutron beam line, sample, detector supports and the walls of the experimental area has been implemented in the simulations. The simulations have been analyzed in the same manner as experimental data, in particular by applying the Pulse Height Weighting Technique. The simulations have been validated against a measurement of the neutron background performed with a $^\mathrm{nat}$C sample, showing an excellent agreement above 1 keV. At lower energies, an additional component in the measured $^\mathrm{nat}$C yield has been discovered, which prevents the use of $^\mathrm{nat}$C data for neutron background estimates at neutron energies below a few hundred eV. The origin and time structure of the neutron background have been derived from the simulations. Examples of the neutron background for two different samples are demonstrating the important role of accurate simulations of the neutron background in capture cross section measurements.

The cross section of the $^{62}$Ni($n,\gamma$) reaction was measured with the time-of-flight technique at the neutron time-of-flight facility n_TOF at CERN. Capture kernels of 42 resonances were analyzed up to 200~keV neutron energy and Maxwellian averaged cross sections (MACS) from $kT=5-100$ keV were calculated. With a total uncertainty of 4.5%, the stellar cross section is in excellent agreement with the the KADoNiS compilation at $kT=30$ keV, while being systematically lower up to a factor of 1.6 at higher stellar temperatures. The cross section of the $^{63}$Ni($n,\gamma$) reaction was measured for the first time at n_TOF. We determined unresolved cross sections from 10 to 270 keV with a systematic uncertainty of 17%. These results provide fundamental constraints on $s$-process production of heavier species, especially the production of Cu in massive stars, which serve as the dominant source of Cu in the solar system.

The $^{58}$Ni $(n,\gamma)$ cross section has been measured at the neutron time of flight facility n_TOF at CERN, in the energy range from 27 meV up to 400 keV. In total, 51 resonances have been analyzed up to 122 keV. Maxwellian averaged cross sections (MACS) have been calculated for stellar temperatures of kT$=$5-100 keV with uncertainties of less than 6%, showing fair agreement with recent experimental and evaluated data up to kT = 50 keV. The MACS extracted in the present work at 30 keV is 34.2$\pm$0.6$_\mathrm{stat}\pm$1.8$_\mathrm{sys}$ mb, in agreement with latest results and evaluations, but 12% lower relative to the recent KADoNIS compilation of astrophysical cross sections. When included in models of the s-process nucleosynthesis in massive stars, this change results in a 60% increase of the abundance of $^{58}$Ni, with a negligible propagation on heavier isotopes. The reason is that, using both the old or the new MACS, 58Ni is efficiently depleted by neutron captures., Comment: 10 pages, 8 figures, 5 tables

The $^{63}$Ni($n, \gamma$) cross section has been measured for the first time at the neutron time-of-flight facility n\_TOF at CERN from thermal neutron energies up to 200 keV. In total, capture kernels of 12 (new) resonances were determined. Maxwellian Averaged Cross Sections were calculated for thermal energies from kT = 5 keV to 100 keV with uncertainties around 20%. Stellar model calculations for a 25 M$_\odot$ star show that the new data have a significant effect on the $s$-process production of $^{63}$Cu, $^{64}$Ni, and $^{64}$Zn in massive stars, allowing stronger constraints on the Cu yields from explosive nucleosynthesis in the subsequent supernova.

In this paper, Fuzzy Logic controller is developed for ac/ac Matrix Converter. Furthermore, Total Harmonic Distortion is reduced significantly. Space Vector Algorithm is a method to improve power quality of the converter output. But its quality is limited to 86.7%.We are introduced a Cross coupled DQ axis controller to improve power quality. The Matrix Converter is an attractive topology for High voltage transformation ratio. A Matlab / Simulink simulation analysis of the Matrix Converter system is provided. The design and implementation of fuzzy controlled Matrix Converter is described. In this paper, design of current controller for a two quadrant DC motor drive was proposed with the help of model order reduction technique. The calculation of current controller gain with some approximations in the conventional design process is replaced by proposed model order reduction method. The model order reduction technique proposed in this paper gives the better controller gain value for the DC motor drive. The proposed model order reduction method is a mixed method, where the numerator polynomial of reduced order model is obtained by using stability equation method and the denominator polynomial is obtained by using some approximation technique preceded in this paper.
