We study the isotropic and anisotropic Hamiltonian of two coupled harmonic oscillators from an algebraic approach of the $SU(1,1)$ and $SU(2)$ groups. In order to obtain the energy spectrum and eigenfunctions of this problem, we write its Hamiltonian in terms of the boson generators of the $SU(1,1)$ and $SU(2)$ groups. We use the one boson and two boson realizations of the $su(1,1)$ Lie algebra, and the one boson realization of the $su(2)$ Lie algebra to apply three tilting transformations to diagonalize the original Hamiltonian. We study the Hamiltonian of two isotropic oscillators with weak coupling from an algebraic approach. We study the non-degenerate parametric amplifier problem from an algebraic approach of the $SU(1,1)$ group. We write the Hamiltonian of this problem in terms of the boson generators of the $SU(1,1)$ group and the difference operator. We apply the tilting transformation to our results to exactly solve this Hamiltonian and obtain its energy spectrum and eigenfunctions. Then, by assuming that our Hamiltonian is an explicit function of time we calculate its Berry phase. In this work we introduce two different generalizations of the Fokker-Planck equation in (1+1) dimensions by replacing the spatial derivatives in terms of generalized Dunkl-type derivatives involving reflection operators. By replacing the spatial derivative with the Dunkl derivative, we generalize the Fokker-Planck equation in (1+1) dimensions. We obtain the Dunkl-Fokker-Planck eigenvalues equation and solve it for the harmonic oscillator plus a centrifugal-type potential. We introduce a generalization of the Dunkl-derivative with two parameters to study the Schr\"odinger equation in Cartesian and polar coordinates in two dimensions. We solve exactly the Schr\"odinger equation for the free-particle, the pseudo-harmonic oscillator and the Mie-type potential in three dimensions with the Dunkl derivative. The equations for the radial and angular parts are obtained by using spherical coordinates and separation of variables. The wave functions and the energy spectrum for these potentials are derived in an analytical way and it is shown that our results are adequately reduced to those previously reported when we remove the Dunkl derivative parameters., Comment: 10 pages

In this paper we study the $(2+1)$-dimensional Klein-Gordon oscillator coupled to an external magnetic field, in which we change the standard partial derivatives for the Dunkl derivatives. We find the energy spectrum (Landau levels) in an algebraic way, by introducing three operators that close the $su(1,1)$ Lie algebra and from the theory of unitary representations. Also we find the energy spectrum and the eigenfunctions analytically, and we show that both solutions are consistent. We introduce the Dunkl--Klein--Gordon (DKG) equation in 2D by changing the standard partial derivatives by the Dunkl derivatives in the standard Klein--Gordon (KG) equation. We show that the generalization with Dunkl derivative of the $z$-component of the angular momentum is what allows the separation of variables of the DKG equation. Then, we compute the energy spectrum and eigenfunctions of the DKG equations for the 2D Coulomb potential and the Klein--Gordon oscillator analytically and from an ${\rm su}(1,1)$ algebraic point of view. Finally, we show that if the parameters of the Dunkl derivative vanish, the obtained results suitably reduce to those reported in the literature for these 2D problems., Comment: 16 pages

We introduce an $SU(1,1)$ algebraic approach to study the $(2+1)$-Dirac oscillator in the presence of the Aharonov-Casher effect coupled to an external electromagnetic field in the Minkowski spacetime and the cosmic string spacetime. This approach is based on a quantum mechanics factorization method that allows us to obtain the $su(1,1)$ algebra generators, the energy spectrum and the eigenfunctions. We obtain the coherent states and their temporal evolution for each spinor component of this problem. We extend the $(1+1)$-dimensional Dirac-Moshinsky oscillator by changing the standard derivative by the Dunkl derivative. We demonstrate in a general way that for the Dirac-Dunkl oscillator be parity invariant, one of the spinor component must be even, and the other spinor component must be odd, and vice versa. We decouple the differential equations for each of the spinor component and introduce an appropriate $su(1,1)$ algebraic realization for the cases when one of these functions is even and the other function is odd. The eigenfunctions and the energy spectrum are obtained by using the $su(1,1)$ irreducible representation theory. Finally, by setting the Dunkl parameter to vanish, we show that our results reduce to those of the standard Dirac-Moshinsky oscillator., Comment: 15 pages

In this paper we study the $(2+1)$-dimensional Dirac-Dunkl oscillator coupled to an external magnetic field. Our Hamiltonian is obtained from the standard Dirac oscillator coupled to an external magnetic field by changing the partial derivatives by the Dunkl derivatives. We solve the Dunkl-Klein-Gordon-type equations in polar coordinates in a closed form. The angular part eigenfunctions are given in terms of the Jacobi-Dunkl polynomials and the radial functions in terms of the Laguerre functions. Also, we compute the energy spectrum of this problem and show that, in the non-relativistic limit, it properly reduces to the Hamiltonian of the two dimensional harmonic oscillator., Comment: 13 pages

By modifying and generalizing known supersymmetric models we are able to find four different sets of one-dimensional Hamiltonians for the inverted harmonic oscillator. The first set of Hamiltonians is derived by extending the supersymmetric quantum mechanics with reflections to non-Hermitian supercharges. The second set is obtained by generalizing the supersymmetric quantum mechanics valid for non-Hermitian supercharges with the Dunkl derivative instead of $\frac{d}{dx}$. Also, by changing the derivative $\frac{d}{dx}$ by the Dunkl derivative in the creation and annihilation-type operators of the standard inverted Harmonic oscillator $H_{SIO}=-\frac{1}{2}\frac{d^2}{dx^2}-\frac{1}{2}x^2$, we generate the third set of Hamiltonians. The fourth set of Hamiltonians emerges by allowing a parameter of the supersymmetric two-body Calogero-type model to take imaginary values. The eigensolutions of definite parity for each set of Hamiltonians are given.

We study the radial part of the Dunkl-Coulomb problem in two dimensions and show that this problem possesses the $su(1,1)$ symmetry. We introduce two different realizations for the $su(1,1)$ Lie algebra and use the theory of irreducible representations to obtain the energy spectrum and the eigenfunctions. For the first algebra realization, we apply the Schr\"odinger factorization to the radial part of the Dunkl-Coulomb problem to construct the algebra generators. In the second realization, we introduce three operators, been one of them proportional to the radial Hamiltonian. We study the Dunkl oscillator in two dimensions by the $su(1,1)$ algebraic method. We apply the Schr\"odinger factorization to the radial Hamiltonian of the Dunkl oscillator to find the $su(1,1)$ Lie algebra generators. The energy spectrum is found by using the theory of unitary irreducible representations. By solving analytically the Schr\"odinger equation, we construct the Sturmian basis for the unitary irreducible representations of the $su(1,1)$ Lie algebra. We construct the $SU(1,1)$ Perelomov radial coherent states for this problem and compute their time evolution., Comment: 14 pages

We study the problem of a charged particle in a uniform magnetic field with two different gauges, known as Landau and symmetric gauges. By using a similarity transformation in terms of the displacement operator we show that, for the Landau gauge, the eigenfunctions for this problem are the harmonic oscillator number coherent states. In the symmetric gauge, we calculate the $SU(1,1)$ Perelomov number coherent states for this problem in cylindrical coordinates in a closed form. Finally, we show that these Perelomov number coherent states are related to the harmonic oscillator number coherent states by the contraction of the $SU(1,1)$ group to the Heisenberg-Weyl group., Comment: 11 pages

We study a relativistic quantum particle in cosmic string spacetime in the presence of a uniform magnetic field and a Coulomb-type scalar potential. It is shown that the radial part of this problem possesses the $su(1,1)$ symmetry. We obtain the energy spectrum and eigenfunctions of this problem by using two algebraic methods: the Schr\"odinger factorization and the tilting transformation. Finally, we give the explicit form of the relativistic coherent states for this problem., Comment: 21 pages

We introduce an alternative approach to the polarization theory of light. This is based on a set of quantum operators, constructed from two independent bosons, being three of them the $su(1,1)$ Lie algebra generators, and the other one, the Casimir operator of this algebra. By taking the expectation value of these generators in a two-mode coherent state, their classical limit is obtained. We use these classical quantities to define the new Stokes-like parameters. We show that the light polarization ellipse can be written in terms of the Stokes-like parameters. Also, we write these parameters in terms of other two quantities, and show that they define a one-sheet (Poincar\'e hyperboloid) of a two-sheet hyperboloid. Our study is restricted to the case of a monochromatic plane electromagnetic wave which propagates along the $z$ axis.

We study the radial part of the MICZ-Kepler problem in an algebraic way by using the $su(1,1)$ Lie algebra. We obtain the energy spectrum and the eigenfunctions of this problem from the $su(1,1)$ theory of unitary representations and the tilting transformation to the stationary Schr\"odinger equation. We construct the physical Perelomov number coherent states for this problem and compute some expectation values. Also, we obtain the time evolution of these coherent states.

We show that the $(2+1)$-dimensional Dirac-Moshinsky oscillator coupled to an external magnetic field can be treated algebraically with the $SU(1,1)$ group theory and its group basis. We use the $su(1,1)$ irreducible representation theory to find the energy spectrum and the eigenfunctions. We introduce a generalization of the Jaynes-Cummings model and study some of its properties. We obtain the energy spectrum and eigenfunctions of this model by using the tilting transformation and the squeezed number states of the one-dimensional har- monic oscillator. We construct the Perelomov number coherent states for any three $su(1,1)$ Lie algebra generators and study some of their properties. We introduce three operators which act on Perelomov number coherent states and close the $su(1,1)$ Lie algebra. We show that the most general $SU(1,1)$ coherence-preserving Hamiltonian has the Perelomov number coherent states as eigenfunctions, and we obtain their time evolution. We apply our results to obtain the non-degenerate parametric amplifier eigenfunctions, which are shown to be the Perelomov number coherent states of the two-dimensional harmonic oscillator.

We decouple the Dirac's radial equations in $D+1$ dimensions with Coulomb-type scalar and vector potentials through appropriate transformations. We study each of these uncoupled second-order equations in an algebraic way by using an $su(1,1)$ algebra realization. Based on the theory of irreducible representations, we find the energy spectrum and the radial eigenfunctions. We construct the Perelomov coherent states for the Sturmian basis, which is the basis for the unitary irreducible representation of the $su(1,1)$ Lie algebra. The physical radial coherent states for our problem are obtained by applying the inverse original transformations to the Sturmian coherent states.

We study the Dirac-Kepler problem plus a Coulomb-type scalar potential by generalizing the Lippmann-Johnson operator to D spatial dimensions. From this operator, we construct the supersymmetric generators to obtain the energy spectrum for discrete excited eigenstates and the radial spinor for the SUSY ground state

We study some properties of the $SU(1,1)$ Perelomov number coherent states. The Schr\"odinger's uncertainty relationship is evaluated for a position and momentum-like operators (constructed from the Lie algebra generators) in these number coherent states. It is shown that this relationship is minimized for the standard coherent states. We obtain the time evolution of the number coherent states by supposing that the Hamiltonian is proportional to the third generator $K_0$ of the $su(1,1)$ Lie algebra. Analogous results for the $SU(2)$ Perelomov number coherent states are found. As examples, we compute the Perelomov coherent states for the pseudoharmonic oscillator and the two-dimensional isotropic harmonic oscillator.

We study the Dirac equation with Coulomb-type vector and scalar potentials in D + 1 dimensions from an su(1, 1) algebraic approach. The generators of this algebra are constructed by using the Schr\"odinger factorization. The theory of unitary representations for the su(1, 1) Lie algebra allows us to obtain the energy spectrum and the supersymmetric ground state. For the cases where there exists either scalar or vector potential our results are reduced to those obtained by analytical techniques.

It is shown that in a Minkowski space of total space-time dimension $D=d+1$, the orbits of the planetary motion are stable only if the total dimension of space-time is $D\le 4$. The proof is performed in a fully didactic way.

We apply the Schr\"odinger factorization method to the radial second-order equation for the relativistic Kepler-Coulomb problem. From these operators we construct two sets of one-variable radial operators which are realizations for the $su(1,1)$ Lie algebra. We use this algebraic structure to obtain the energy spectrum and the supersymmetric ground state for this system.

We apply the Schr\"odinger factorization to construct the ladder operators for hydrogen atom, Mie-type potential, harmonic oscillator and pseudo-harmonic oscillator in arbitrary dimensions. From SUSY ladder operators in momentum space of a neutron in the magnetic field of a linear current, we construct $2\times 2$ matrix operators that together with the z-component of the angular momentum satisfy the su(2) Lie algebra. We use this fact to explain the degeneracy of the energy spectrum.

We show in a systematic and clear way how factorization methods can be used to construct the generators for hidden and dynamical symmetries. This is shown by studying the 2D problems of hydrogen atom, the isotropic harmonic oscillator and the radial potential $A\rho^{2\zeta-2}-B\rho^{\zeta-2}$. We show that in these cases the non-compact (compact) algebra corresponds to so(2,1) (su(2)).

In this work we introduce a generalization of the Jauch and Rohrlich quantum Stokes operators when the arrival direction from the source is unknown {\it a priori}. We define the generalized Stokes operators as the Jordan-Schwinger map of a triplet of harmonic oscillators with the Gell-Mann and Ne'eman SU(3) symmetry group matrices. We show that the elements of the Jordan-Schwinger map are the constants of motion of the three-dimensional isotropic harmonic oscillator. Also, we show that generalized Stokes Operators together with the Gell-Mann and Ne'eman matrices may be used to expand the polarization density matrix. By taking the expectation value of the Stokes operators in a three-mode coherent state of the electromagnetic field, we obtain the corresponding generalized classical Stokes parameters. Finally, by means of the constants of motion of the classical three-dimensional isotropic harmonic oscillator we describe the geometric properties of the polarization ellipse

We study the possible existence of nonstrange dibaryons and tribaryons by solving the bound-state problem of the two- and three-body systems composed of nucleons and deltas. The two-body systems are $NN$, $N\Delta$, and $\Delta\Delta$, while the three-body systems are $NNN$, $NN\Delta$, $N\Delta\Delta$, and $\Delta\Delta\Delta$. We use as input the nonlocal $NN$, $N\Delta$, and $\Delta\Delta$ potentials derived from the chiral quark cluster model by means of the resonating group method.
