We investigate analytically the properties of the Weyl holographic superconductor in the Lifshitz black hole background. We find that the critical temperature of the Weyl superconductor decreases with increasing Lifshitz dynamical exponent, $z$, indicating that condensation becomes difficult. In addition, it is found that the critical temperature and condensation operator could be affected by applying the Weyl coupling, $\gamma$. Moreover, we compute the critical magnetic field and investigate its dependence on the parameters $\gamma$ and $z$. Finally, we show numerically that the Weyl coupling parameter $\gamma$ and the Lifshitz dynamical exponent $z$ together control the size and strength of the conductivity peak and the ratio of gap frequency over critical temperature $\omega_{g}/T_{c}$., Comment: 25 pages, 22 figures

We assume that the noncommutativity starts to be visible continuously from a scale $\Lambda_{NC}$. According to this assumption, a two-loop effective action is derived for noncommutative $\phi^{4}$ and $\phi^{3}$ theories from a Wilsonian point of view. We show that these effective theories are free of UV/IR mixing phenomena. We also investigate the positivity constraint on coefficients of higher dimension operators present in the effective theory. This constraint makes the low energy theory to be UV completion of a full theory. Finally, we discuss noncommutativity and extra dimensions. In our effective theories formulated on noncommutative extra dimensions, if the campactification scale $\Lambda_{c}$ is less than the scale $\Lambda_{NC}$, the theory will not suffer from UV/IR mixing., Comment: 25 pages

We investigate the generation of large scale magnetic fields in the universe from quantum fluctuations produced in the inflationary stage. By coupling these quantum fluctuations to the dilaton field and Ricci scalar, we show that the magnetic fields with the strength observed today can be produced. We consider two situations: First, the evolution of dilaton ends at the onset of the reheating stage. Second, the dilaton continues its evolution after reheating and then decays. In both cases, we come back to the usual Maxwell equations after inflation and then calculate present magnetic fields., Comment: 22 pages

In this work the Aharonov-Casher (AC) phase is calculated for spin one particles in a noncommutative space. The AC phase has previously been calculated from the Dirac equation in a noncommutative space using a gauge-like technique [17]. In the spin-one, we use kemmer equation to calculate the phase in a similar manner. It is shown that the holonomy receives non-trivial kinematical corrections. By comparing the new result with the already known spin 1/2 case, one may conjecture a generalized formula for the corrections to holonomy for higher spins., Comment: 9 pages

In this paper, we investigate the behavior of non-commutative IR divergences and will also discuss their cancellation in the physical cross sections. The commutative IR (soft) divergences existing in the non-planar diagrams will be examined in order to prove an all order cancellation of these divergences using the Weinberg's method. In non-commutative QED, collinear divergences due to triple photon splitting vertex, were encountered, which are shown to be canceled out by the non-commutative version of KLN theorem. This guarantees that there is no mixing between the Collinear, soft and non-commutative IR divergences.

We study the Dirac and the klein-Gordon oscillators in a noncommutative space. It is shown that the Klein-Gordon oscillator in a noncommutative space has a similar behaviour to the dynamics of a particle in a commutative space and in a constant magnetic field. The Dirac oscillator in a noncommutative space has a similar equation to the equation of motion for a relativistic fermion in a commutative space and in a magnetic field, however a new exotic term appears, which implies that a charged fermion in a noncommutative space has an electric dipole moment., Comment: 9 pages

A new finite-size scaling approach based on the transfer matrix method is developed to calculate the critical temperature of anisotropic two-layer Ising ferromagnet, on strips of r wide sites of square lattices. The reduced internal energy per site has been accurately calculated for the ferromagnetic case, with the nearest neighbor couplings Kx, Ky (where Kx and Ky are the nearest neighbor interactions within each layer in the x and y directions, respectively) and with inter-layer coupling Kz, using different size-limited lattices. The calculated energies for different lattice sizes intersect at various points when plotted versus the reduced temperature. It is found that the location of the intersection point versus the lattice size can be fitted on a power series in terms of the lattice sizes. The power series is used to obtain the critical temperature of the unlimited two-layer lattice. A numerical method based on the transfer matrix method is developed to calculate the critical temperature of two-layer Ising ferromagnet with a weak inter-layer coupling. The reduced internal energy per site has been accurately calculated for symmetric ferromagnetic case, with the nearest neighbor coupling K1 = K2 = K (where K1 and K2 are the nearest neighbor interaction in the first and second layers, respectively) with inter layer coupling J. The critical temperature as a function of the inter-layer coupling J/K << 1, is obtained for very weak inter-layer interactions,J/K < 0.1 . Also a different function is given for the case of the strong inter-layer interactions (J/K > 1). The importance of these relations is due to the fact that there is no well tabulated data for the critical points versus J/K. We find the value of the shift exponent Phi = Gama is 1.74 for the system with the same intra-layer interaction and 0.5 for the system with different intra-layer interactions., Comment: 16 pages, 2 figures, 2tables

We present exact calculations of the partition function for the q-state Potts model for general q, temperature and magnetic field on strips of the square lattices of width $L_{y}=2$ and arbitrary length $L_x = m $ with periodic longitudinal boundary conditions. We investigate the effect of the noncommutative geometry on the classical orbits of particles in a central force potential. The relation is implemented through the modified commutation relations $[x_i, x_j]=i \theta_{ij} $. Comparison with observation places severe constraints on the value of the noncommutativity parameter.
