In survival analysis, the lifetime under study is not always observed. In certain applications, for some individuals, the value of the lifetime is only known to be smaller or larger than some random duration. This framework represent an extension of standard situations where the lifetime is only left or only right randomly censored. We consider the case where the independent observation units include also some covariates, and we propose two semiparametric regression models. The new models extend the standard Cox proportional hazard model to the situation of a more complex censoring mechanism. However, like in Cox's model, in both models the nonparametric baseline hazard function still could be expressed as an explicit functional of the distribution of the observations. This allows to define the estimator of the finite-dimensional parameters as the maximum of a likelihood-type criterion which is an explicit function of the data. Given an estimate of the finite-dimensional parameter, the estimation of the baseline cumulative hazard function is straightforward.

Cure models have been widely developed to estimate the cure fraction when some subjects never experience the event of interest. However these models were rarely focused on the estimation of the time-to-cure i.e. the delay elapsed between the diagnosis and "the time from which cure is reached", an important indicator, for instance to address the question of access to insurance or loans for subjects with personal history of cancer. We propose a new excess hazard regression model that includes the time-to-cure as a covariate dependent parameter to be estimated. The model is written similarly to a Beta probability distribution function and is shown to be a particular case of the non-mixture cure models. Parameters are estimated through a maximum likelihood approach and simulation studies demonstrate good performance of the model. Illustrative applications to two cancer data sets are provided and some limitations as well as possible extensions of the model are discussed. The proposed model offers a simple and comprehensive way to estimate more accurately the time-to-cure. Key words: Cancer; Cure model; Cure time; Net survival; Right to be forgotten.

We consider the gamma process perturbed by a Brownian motion (independent of the gamma process) as a degradation model. Parameters estimation is studied here. We assume that $n$ independent items are observed at irregular instants. From these observations, we estimate the parameters using the moments method. Then, we study the asymptotic properties of the estimators. Furthermore we derive some particular cases of items observed at regular or non-regular instants. Finally, some numerical simulations and two real data applications are provided to illustrate our method.

Suppose that univariate data are drawn from a mixture of two distributions that are equal up to a shift parameter. Such a model is known to be nonidentifiable from a nonparametric viewpoint. However, if we assume that the unknown mixed distribution is symmetric, we obtain the identifiability of this model, which is then defined by four unknown parameters: the mixing proportion, two location parameters and the cumulative distribution function of the symmetric mixed distribution. We propose estimators for these four parameters when no training data is available. Our estimators are shown to be strongly consistent under mild regularity assumptions and their convergence rates are studied.
