We study the representation theory of the subregular W-algebra $\mathcal{W}^k(\mathfrak{so}_{2n+1},f_{sub})$ of type B and the principal W-superalgebra $\mathcal{W}^\ell(\mathfrak{osp}_{2|2n})$, which are related by an orthosymplectic analogue of Feigin-Semikhatov duality in type A. We establish a block-wise equivalence of weight modules over the W-superalgebras by using the relative semi-infinite cohomology functor and spectral flow twists, which generalizes the result of Feigin-Semikhatov-Tipunin for the N=2 superconformal algebra. In particular, the correspondence of Wakimoto type free field representations is obtained. When the level of the subregular W-algebra is exceptional, we classify the simple modules over the simple quotients $\mathcal{W}_k(\mathfrak{so}_{2n+1},f_{sub})$ and $\mathcal{W}_\ell(\mathfrak{osp}_{2|2n})$ and derive the character formulae., Comment: 42 pages in English, comments are very welcome

This is a non-standard exposition of the main notions of quantum mechanics and quantum field theory including some recent results. It is based on the algebraic approach where the starting point is a star-algebra and on the geometric approach where the starting point is a convex set of states. Standard formulas for quantum probabilities are derived from decoherence. This derivation allows us to go beyond quantum theory in the geometric approach. Particles are defined as elementary excitations of the ground state (and quasiparticles as elementary excitations of any translation invariant state). The conventional scattering matrix does not work for quasiparticles (and even for particles if the theory does not have particle interpretation). The analysis of scattering in these cases is based on the notion of inclusive scattering matrix, closely related to inclusive cross-sections. It is proven that the conventional scattering matrix can be expressed in terms of Green functions (LSZ formula) and the inclusive scattering matrix can be expressed in terms of generalized Green functions that appear in the Keldysh formalism of non-equilibrium statistical physics. The derivation of the expression of the evolution operator and other physical quantities in terms of functional integrals is based on the notion of the symbol of an operator; these arguments can be applied also in the geometric approach. The notion of inclusive scattering matrix makes sense in the geometric approach (but it seems that one cannot give a definition of the conventional scattering matrix in this situation). We study Feynman chekers - one of the most elementary models of electron motion. It is also known as one-dimensional quantum walk or an Ising model at imaginary temperature. We add the simpliest nontrivial electromagnetic field to the model and find the limits of the resulting model for a small lattice step and a large time, similar to the results by J. Narlikar 1972 and G. Grimmet - S. Jason - P. Scudo from the 2000s. It turns out that the limits in the model with the field are obtained from the known ones without a field by a mass renormalization. Since a long-time, the quantum integrable systems have remained an area where modern mathematical methods have given an access to interesting results in the study of physical systems. The exact computations, both numerical and asymptotic, of the correlation function is one of the most important subject of the theory of the quantum integrable models. In this context an approach based on the calculation of form factors has been proved to be a more effective one. In this thesis, we develop a new method based on the algebraic Bethe ansatz for the computation of the form-factors in thermodynamic limit. It is both applied to and described in the context of isotropic XXX Heisenberg chain, which is one of the examples of an interesting case of critical models where the Fermi-zone is non-compact. In a particular case of two-spinon form-factors, we obtain an exact result in a closed-form which matches the previous result obtained from an approach based on $q$-vertex operator algebra. We consider fertile three-state Hard-Core (HC) models with the activity parameter $\lambda>0$ on a Cayley tree. It is known that there exist four types of such models: wrench, wand, hinge, and pipe. These models arise as simple examples of loss networks with nearest-neighbor exclusion. In the case wand on a Cayley tree of order $k\geq2$, exact critical values $\lambda>0$ are found for which two-periodic Gibbs measures are not unique. We survey and develop the most elementary model of electron motion introduced by R.Feynman. In this game, a checker moves on a checkerboard by simple rules, and we count the turns. Feynman checkers are also known as a one-dimensional quantum walk or an Ising model at imaginary temperature. We solve mathematically a problem by R.Feynman from 1965, which was to prove that the discrete model (for large time, small average velocity, and small lattice step) is consistent with the continuum one. We study asymptotic properties of the model (for small lattice step and large time) improving the results by J.Narlikar from 1972 and by T.Sunada-T.Tate from 2012. For the first time we observe and prove concentration of measure in the small-lattice-step limit. The most common physical formalisms are the Lagrangian formalism and the Hamiltonian formalism. From the superficial point of view, they are one and the same, but rewritten in other terms. However, it seems that the Hamiltonian formalism has a richer structure and is more convenient for studying the electromagnetic field, especially in the formalization of its geometrization. Unfortunately for field problems, there is a whole set of Hamiltonian formalisms. When the Maxwell equations are geometrized, the Maxwell Lagrangian is usually reduced to the Yang-Mills Lagrangian. In this case, the effective quadratic metric, usually corresponding to the Riemannian metric of our space, is considered. However, it is more reasonable to use Finsler approach to Maxwell's equations. In the paper the Finsler representation of the geometrized Maxwell equations is considered. This habilitation thesis summarizes the research that I have carried out from 2005 to 2019. It is organized in four chapters. The first three deal with random planar maps. Chapter 1 is about their metric properties: from a general map-mobile bijection, we compute the three-point function of quadrangulations, before discussing the connection with continued fractions. Chapter 2 presents the slice decomposition, a unified bijective approach that applies notably to irreducible maps. Chapter 3 concerns the $O(n)$ loop model on planar maps: by a combinatorial decomposition, we obtain the phase diagram before studying loop nesting statistics. We introduce Thompson field theory, a class of toy models of conformal field theory in which Thompson's group T takes the role of a discrete analogue of the chiral conformal group. T and the related group F are discrete transformations of dyadic partitions of the circle and the unit interval, respectively. When vectors or tensors are associated with partitions, one can construct a direct limit Hilbert space, here called the semicontinuous limit, and F and T have unitary representations on this space. We give an abstract description of these representations following the work of Jones. We also show that T can be thought of as acting on the boundary of an equal-time Poincar\'e disk in AdS3. This defines a representation of T on the Hilbert space that contains all tree-like holographic states, as introduced by Pastawski, Yoshida, Harlow, and Preskill. It also establishes a bulk-boundary correspondence through Imbert's isomorphism between T and Penner's Ptolemy group. We further propose definitions of field operators and correlation functions for the discrete theory. When modeling such phenomena as population dynamics, controllable ows, etc., a problem arises of adapting the existing models to a phenomenon under study. For this purpose, we propose to derive new models from the rst principles by stochastization of one-step processes. Research can be represented as an iterative process that consists in obtaining a model and its further re nement. The number of such iterations can be extremely large. This work is aimed at software implementation (by means of computer algebra) of a method for stochastization of one-step processes. As a basis of the software implementation, we use the SymPy computer algebra system. Based on a developed algorithm, we derive stochastic di erential equations and their interaction schemes. In this manuscript we present a calculation of a physical observable in a non-perturbative quantum gravitational physical process from covariant Loop Quantum Gravity. The process regards the transition of a trapped region to an anti--trapped region, treated as a quantum geometry transition akin to gravitational tunneling. Figuratively speaking, this is a quantum transition of a black hole to a white hole. The physical observables are the characteristic timescales in which the process takes place. After an introduction, we begin with two chapters that review, define and extend main tools relevant to Lorentzian spinfoams and their semiclassical limit. We then dedicate a chapter to the classical exterior spacetime, which provides the setup for the problem. In the last two chapters, we arrive at an explicit, analytically well-defined and finite expression for a transition amplitude describing this process and use the semiclassical approximation to estimate the relevant amplitudes for an arbitrary choice of boundary conditions. We conclude that the transition is predicted to be allowed by LQG, with a characteristic duration that is linear in the mass, when the process takes place. In the first part of the thesis we construct models, called integrable, in which we can perform exact computations of physical quantities. We introduce several new out-of-equilibrium models that are obtained by solving, in specific cases, the Yang-Baxter equation and the reflection equation. We provide new algebraic structures which allow us to construct the solutions through a Baxterisation procedure. In the second part of the thesis we compute exactly the stationary state of these models using a matrix ansatz. We shed light on the connection between this technique and the integrability of the model by pointing out two key relations: the Zamolodchikov-Faddeev relation and the Ghoshal-Zamolodchikov relation. The integrability is also exploited, through the quantum Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equations, to compute the fluctuations of the particles current, unrevealing connections with the theory of symmetric polynomials (the Koornwinder polynomials in particular). Finally the last part of the thesis deals with the hydrodynamic limit of the models, i.e when the lattice spacing tends to zero and the number of particles tends to infinity. The exact results obtained for a finite size system allow us to check the validity of the predictions of the macroscopic fluctuations theory (concerning the fluctuations of the current and the density profile in the stationary state) and to extend the theory to systems with several species of particles., Comment: 259 pages, PhD thesis (written in English, only a few pages in French)

In this thesis we study properties of open quantum dissipative evolutions of spin systems on lattices described by Lindblad generators, in a particular regime that we denote rapid mixing. We consider dissipative evolutions with a unique fixed point, and which compress the whole space of input states into increasingly small neighborhoods of the fixed point. The time scale at which this compression takes place, or in other words the time we have to wait for any input state to become almost indistinguishable from the fixed point, is called the mixing time of the process. Rapid mixing is a condition on the scaling of this mixing time with the system size: if it is logarithmic, then we have rapid mixing. The main contribution of this thesis is to show that rapid mixing has profound implications for the corresponding system: it is stable against external perturbations and its fixed point satisfies an area law for mutual information., Comment: PhD Thesis (Universidad Complutense de Madrid, July 2016). 87 pages. Using the example of such a complicated problem as the Cauchy problem for the Navier-Stokes equation, we show how the Poincar\'e-Riemann-Hilbert boundary value problem enables us to construct effective estimates of solutions for this case. The apparatus of the three-dimensional inverse problem of quantum scattering theory is developing for this. In which it is shown that the unitary scattering operator can be studied as a solution of the Poincar\'e-Riemann-Hilbert boundary-value problem. This allows us to go on to study the potential in the Schrodinger equation, which we consider as a velocity component in the Navier-Stokes equation. The article is devoted to application of tensorial formalism for derivation of different types of Maxwell's equations. The Maxwell's equations are written in the covariant coordinate-free and the covariant coordinate forms. Also the relation between vectorial and tensorial formalisms and differential operators for arbitrary holonomic coordinate system in coordinate form is given. We study deterministic and quantum dynamics from a constructive "finite" point of view, since the introduction of a continuum, or other actual infinities in physics poses serious conceptual and technical difficulties, without any need for these concepts to physics as an empirical science. For a consistent description of the symmetries of dynamical systems at different times and the symmetries of the various parts of such systems, we introduce discrete analogs of the gauge connections. Gauge structures are particularly important to describe the quantum behavior. We show that quantum behavior is the result of a fundamental inability to trace the identity of indistinguishable objects in the process of evolution. Information is available only on invariant statements and values, relating to such objects. Using mathematical arguments of a general nature we can show that any quantum dynamics can be reduced to a sequence of permutations. Quantum interferences occur in the invariant subspaces of permutation representations of symmetry groups of dynamical systems. The observable values can be expressed in terms of permutation invariants. We also show that for the description of quantum phenomena, instead of a nonconstructive number system --- the field of complex numbers, it is enough to use cyclotomic fields --- the minimal extentions of natural numbers suitable for quantum mechanics. Finite groups of symmetries play a central role in this article. The interest in such groups has an additional motivation in physics. We develop the recent proposal to use dimensional reduction from the four-dimensional space-time D=(1+3) to the variant with a smaller number of space dimensions D=(1+d), d < 3, at sufficiently small distances to construct a renormalizable quantum field theory. We study the Klein-Gordon equation on a few toy examples ("educational toys") of a space-time with variable special geometry, including a transition to a dimensional reduction. The examples considered contain a combination of two regions with a simple geometry (two-dimensional cylindrical surfaces with different radii) connected by a transition region. The new technique of transforming the study of solutions of the Klein-Gordon problem on a space with variable geometry into solution of a one-dimensional stationary Schr\"odinger-type equation with potential generated by this variation is useful. We draw the following conclusions: (1) The signal related to the degree of freedom specific to the higher-dimensional part does not penetrate into the smaller-dimensional part because of an inertial force inevitably arising in the transition region (this is the centrifugal force in our models). (2) The specific spectrum of scalar excitations resembles the spectrum of the real particles; it reflects the geometry of the transition region and represents its "fingerprints". This paper is on tilings of polygons by rectangles. A celebrated physical interpretation of such tilings due to R.L. Brooks, C.A.B. Smith, A.H. Stone and W.T. Tutte uses direct-current circuits. The new approach of the paper is an application of alternating-current circuits. The following results are obtained: - a necessary condition for a rectangle to be tilable by rectangles of given shapes; - a criterion for a rectangle to be tilable by rectangles similar to it but not all homothetic to it; - a criterion for a generic polygon to be tilable by squares. We consider Hamiltonians, which are even polynomials of the forth order with the respect to Bose operators. We find subspaces, preserved by the action of Hamiltonian These subspaces, being finite-dimensional, include, nonetheless, states with an \QTR{it}{infinite} number of quasi-particles, corresponding to the original Bose operators. The basis functions look rather simple in the coherent state representation and are expressed in terms of the degenerate hypergeometric function with respect to the complex variable labeling the representation. In some particular degenerate cases they turn (up to the power factor) into the trigonometric or hyperbolic functions, Bessel functions or combinations of the exponent and Hermit polynomials. In this note we present pairs of hyperkaehler orbifolds which satisfy two different versions of mirror symmetry. On the one hand, we show that their Hodge numbers (or more precisely, stringy E-polynomials) are equal. On the other hand, we show that they satisfy the prescription of Strominger, Yau, and Zaslow (which in the present case goes back to Bershadsky, Johansen, Sadov and Vafa): that a Calabi-Yau and its mirror should fiber over the same real manifold, with special Lagrangian fibers which are tori dual to each other. Our examples arise as moduli spaces of local systems on a curve with structure group SL(n); the mirror is the corresponding space with structure group PGL(n). We present the general form of potentials with two given energy levels $E_{1}$, $E_{2}$ and find corresponding wave functions. These entities are expressed in terms of one function $\xi (x)$ and one parameter $\Delta E=E_{2}$-$E_{1}$. We show how the quantum numbers of both levels depend on properties of the function $\xi (x)$.
