On the path toward developing the first fusion energy devices, plasma simulations have become indispensable tools for supporting the design and development of fusion machines. Among these critical simulation tools, BIT1 is an advanced Particle-in-Cell code with Monte Carlo collisions, specifically designed for modeling plasma-material interaction and, in particular, analyzing the power load distribution on tokamak divertors. The current implementation of BIT1 relies exclusively on MPI for parallel communication and lacks support for GPUs. In this work, we address these limitations by designing and implementing a hybrid, shared-memory version of BIT1 capable of utilizing GPUs. For shared-memory parallelization, we rely on OpenMP and OpenACC, using a task-based approach to mitigate load-imbalance issues in the particle mover. On an HPE Cray EX computing node, we observe an initial performance improvement of approximately 42%, with scalable performance showing an enhancement of about 38% when using 8 MPI ranks. Still relying on OpenMP and OpenACC, we introduce the first version of BIT1 capable of using GPUs. We investigate two different data movement strategies: unified memory and explicit data movement. Overall, we report BIT1 data transfer findings during each PIC cycle. Among BIT1 GPU implementations, we demonstrate performance improvement through concurrent GPU utilization, especially when MPI ranks are assigned to dedicated GPUs. We revisit the topic of probability measures on CAT(0) cube complexes and prove that an amenable group acting on a CAT(0) cube complex, regardless of dimension, necessarily preserves an interval in the Roller compactification. In the finite dimensional case, we prove that there must be an orbit of cardinality $2^N$, where $N$ is bounded by the dimension. Atmospheric muons are the most frequently observed form of cosmic radiation. Despite this, the existence of the muon flux component produced in decays of short-lived parent particles, called prompt muon flux still awaits experimental confirmation. This contribution to the muon flux is expected to start dominating at high energies, around PeV, since many of the prompt parent particles are heavy hadrons, containing charm and strange quarks. The aim of this thesis was two-fold: to evaluate the possibility of observing the prompt muon flux and to validate the performance of the KM3NeT detectors. Non-unitary $3 \times 3$ mixing matrices are present in many extensions of the Standard Model. One of the most simple extensions is the addition of $n_R$ right-handed neutrinos without imposing Lepton Number Conservation ($n_R$$\nu$SM). In the region of the parameter space where the usual seesaw approximation is valid, deviations from $3 \times 3$ unitarity of the leptonic mixing matrix are negligible, while one has three light neutrinos and two or three heavy neutrinos with masses close to the GUT scale. This gap between the mass scales occurs while having order 1 Yukawa couplings, providing a natural explanation for the smallness of light neutrino masses - hence the name seesaw. Other regions of the parameter space, with lighter heavy neutrinos - with an eV or keV mass, for instance - and bigger deviations from unitarity of the leptonic mixing matrix, are still allowed by experiment. In fact, whenever heavy neutrino masses are many orders of magnitude below the GUT scale there are interesting phenomenological implications at low energies. To analyse such regions with precision, one needs an exact parameterisation, since approximations that were valid in the usual seesaw case now fail. This thesis will consist of a study and classification of regions of the 3$\nu$SM parameter space in the light of a newly-developed exact parameterisation. Furthermore, it will also include a study of models with vector-like quarks, another simple extension of the SM, that contains a $3 \times 3$ non-unitary quark mixing matrix. Studying the most interesting regions of the parameter space of vector-like quarks models also benefits from the use of the aforementioned exact parameterisation. These regions are phenomenologically rich and may explain certain open questions like the CKM unitarity problem/Cabibbo angle anomaly. In this paper, we prove that if $G$ is a group of even order, then the set of vertices which are non-adjacent to $2$ in $\Gamma(G)$ form a union of cliques. Moreover, we decide when a strongly regular graph is isomorphic to the Gruenberg-Kegel graph of a finite group. Many countries around the world, including Korea, use the school choice lottery system. However, this method has a problem in that many students are assigned to less-preferred schools based on the lottery results. In addition, the task of finding a good assignment with ties often has a time complexity of NP, making it a very difficult problem to improve the quality of the assignment. In this paper, we prove that the problem of finding a stable matching that maximizes the student-oriented preference utility in a two-sided market with one-sided preference can be solved in polynomial time, and we verify through experiments that the quality of assignment is improved. The main contributions of this paper are as follows. We found that stable student-oriented allocation in a two-sided market with one-sided preferences is the same as stable allocation in a two-sided market with symmetric preferences. In addition, we defined a method to quantify the quality of allocation from a preference utilitarian perspective. Based on the above two, it was proven that the problem of finding a stable match that maximizes the preference utility in a two-sided market with homogeneous preferences can be reduced to an allocation problem. Unsupervised representation learning aims at finding methods that learn representations from data without annotation-based signals. Abstaining from annotations not only leads to economic benefits but may - and to some extent already does - result in advantages regarding the representation's structure, robustness, and generalizability to different tasks. In the long run, unsupervised methods are expected to surpass their supervised counterparts due to the reduction of human intervention and the inherently more general setup that does not bias the optimization towards an objective originating from specific annotation-based signals. While major advantages of unsupervised representation learning have been recently observed in natural language processing, supervised methods still dominate in vision domains for most tasks. In this dissertation, we contribute to the field of unsupervised (visual) representation learning from three perspectives: (i) Learning representations: We design unsupervised, backpropagation-free Convolutional Self-Organizing Neural Networks (CSNNs) that utilize self-organization- and Hebbian-based learning rules to learn convolutional kernels and masks to achieve deeper backpropagation-free models. (ii) Evaluating representations: We build upon the widely used (non-)linear evaluation protocol to define pretext- and target-objective-independent metrics for measuring and investigating the objective function mismatch between various unsupervised pretext tasks and target tasks. (iii) Transferring representations: We contribute CARLANE, the first 3-way sim-to-real domain adaptation benchmark for 2D lane detection, and a method based on prototypical self-supervised learning. This article discusses a universal way to create animation using Asymptote the language for vector graphics. The Asymptote language itself has a built-in library for creating animations, but its practical use is complicated by an extremely brief description in the official documentation and unstable execution of existing examples. The purpose of this article is to eliminate this gap. The method we describe is based on creating a PDF file with frames using Asymptote, with further converting it into a set of PNG images and merging them into a video using FFmpeg. It is shown that the time-reversal symmetry is broken during the phase transition causing orbital ordering in a crystal with Jahn-Teller (J-T) ions. This means that such phase transitions are magnetic ones. As an example we have considered the spinel crystals containing $T_{2g}$ ions: $NiCr_2O_4$ ($T_{orb}=310$ K, $T_c=70$ K) and $CuCr_2O_4$ ($T_{orb}=860$ K, $T_c=135$ K), where the orbital ordering precedes the spin ordering, which occurs at lower temperatures. The spin-ordering transition is naturally included into our general group-theoretical scheme of the phase transition. Based on the symmetry group of the parent phase, the symmetry groups for possible orbital- and spin-ordered phases are found. We present arguments in favor of the idea that the orbital ordering occurs due to the superexchange between J-T ions, and the spin ordering is caused by the spin-orbital interaction. We study the representation theory of the subregular W-algebra $\mathcal{W}^k(\mathfrak{so}_{2n+1},f_{sub})$ of type B and the principal W-superalgebra $\mathcal{W}^\ell(\mathfrak{osp}_{2|2n})$, which are related by an orthosymplectic analogue of Feigin-Semikhatov duality in type A. We establish a block-wise equivalence of weight modules over the W-superalgebras by using the relative semi-infinite cohomology functor and spectral flow twists, which generalizes the result of Feigin-Semikhatov-Tipunin for the N=2 superconformal algebra. In particular, the correspondence of Wakimoto type free field representations is obtained. Electric consumption prediction methods are investigated for many reasons such as decision-making related to energy efficiency as well as for anticipating demand in the energy market dynamics. The objective of the present work is the comparison between two Deep Learning models, namely the Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) and Bi-directional LSTM (BLSTM) for univariate electric consumption Time Series (TS) short-term forecast. The Data Sets (DSs) were selected for their different contexts and scales, aiming the assessment of the models' robustness. Four DSs were used, related to the power consumption of: (a) a household in France; (b) a university building in Santar\'em, Brazil; (c) the T\'etouan city zones, in Morocco; and (c) the Singapore aggregated electric demand. The metrics RMSE, MAE, MAPE and R2 were calculated in a TS cross-validation scheme. The Friedman's test was applied to normalized RMSE (NRMSE) results, showing that BLSTM outperforms LSTM with statistically significant difference (p = 0.0455), corroborating the fact that bidirectional weight updating improves significantly the LSTM performance concerning different scales of electric power consumption., Comment: 38 pages, in English, 13 figures and 13 tables

Coupled nonlinear Schrodinger equations for paraxial optics with two circular polarizations of light in a defocusing Kerr medium with anomalous dispersion coincide in form with the Gross-Pitaevskii equations for a binary Bose-Einstein condensate (BEC) of cold atoms in the phase separation regime. In this case, the helical symmetry of an optical waveguide corresponds to rotation of the transverse potential confining the BEC. The "centrifugal force" considerably affects the propagation of a light wave in such a system. A new type of long-lived solitary structures for paraxial optics with two circular polarizations of light in a homogeneous defocusing Kerr medium with an anomalous group velocity dispersion has been revealed numerically in the coupled nonlinear Schr\"odinger equations. A found hybrid three-dimensional soliton is a vortex ring against the background of a plane wave in one of the components, and the core of the vortex is filled with another component nonuniformly in azimuth angle. We state and prove an extension of the global Gan-Gross-Prasad conjecture and the Ichino-Ikeda conjecture to the case of some Eisenstein series on unitary groups $U_n\times U_{n+1}$. Our theorems are based on a comparison of the Jacquet-Rallis trace formulas. A new point is the expression of some interesting spectral contributions in these formulas in terms of integrals of relative characters. This is a non-standard exposition of the main notions of quantum mechanics and quantum field theory including some recent results. It is based on the algebraic approach where the starting point is a star-algebra and on the geometric approach where the starting point is a convex set of states. Standard formulas for quantum probabilities are derived from decoherence. This derivation allows us to go beyond quantum theory in the geometric approach. Particles are defined as elementary excitations of the ground state (and quasiparticles as elementary excitations of any translation invariant state). The conventional scattering matrix does not work for quasiparticles (and even for particles if the theory does not have particle interpretation). The analysis of scattering in these cases is based on the notion of inclusive scattering matrix, closely related to inclusive cross-sections. It is proven that the conventional scattering matrix can be expressed in terms of Green functions (LSZ formula) and the inclusive scattering matrix can be expressed in terms of generalized Green functions that appear in the Keldysh formalism of non-equilibrium statistical physics. The derivation of the expression of the evolution operator and other physical quantities in terms of functional integrals is based on the notion of the symbol of an operator; these arguments can be applied also in the geometric approach. The notion of inclusive scattering matrix makes sense in the geometric approach (but it seems that one cannot give a definition of the conventional scattering matrix in this situation). Background: Hyperbolic complex numbers are used in the description of hyperbolic spaces. One of the well-known examples of such spaces is the Minkowski space, which plays a leading role in the problems of the special theory of relativity and electrodynamics. However, such numbers are not very common in different programming languages. Purpose: Of interest is the implementation of hyperbolic complex in scientific programming languages, in particular, in the Julia language. Methods: The Julia language is based on the concept of multiple dispatch. This concept is an extension of the concept of polymorphism for object-oriented programming languages. To implement hyperbolic complex numbers, the multiple dispatching approach of the Julia language was used. Results: The result is a library that implements hyperbolic numbers. A mathematical analogy between paraxial optics with two circular polarizations of light in a defocusing Kerr medium with positive dispersion, binary Bose-Einstein condensates of cold atoms in the phase separation regime, and hydrodynamics of two immiscible compressible liquids can help in theoretical search for unknown three-dimensional coherent optical structures. In this work, transversely trapped (by a smooth profile of the refractive index) light beams are considered and new numerical examples are presented, including a ``floating drop'', a precessing longitudinal optical vortex with an inhomogeneous profile of filling with the second component, and the combination of a drop and a vortex filament. We collected attack data from unmanned vehicles using the UAVCAN protocol, and public and described technical documents. A testbed was built with a drone using PX4, and a total of three attacks, Flooding, Fuzzy, and Replay, were performed. The attack was carried out in a total of 10 scenarios. In the present note, we study a new method of constructing efficient coverings for Kronecker powers of matrices, recently proposed by J. Alman, Y. Guan, A. Padaki [arXiv, 2022]. Despite significant advances in recent years, the existing Computer-Assisted Pronunciation Training (CAPT) methods detect pronunciation errors with a relatively low accuracy (precision of 60% at 40%-80% recall). This Ph.D. work proposes novel deep learning methods for detecting pronunciation errors in non-native (L2) English speech, outperforming the state-of-the-art method in AUC metric (Area under the Curve) by 41%, i.e., from 0.528 to 0.749. One of the problems with existing CAPT methods is the low availability of annotated mispronounced speech needed for reliable training of pronunciation error detection models. Therefore, the detection of pronunciation errors is reformulated to the task of generating synthetic mispronounced speech. Intuitively, if we could mimic mispronounced speech and produce any amount of training data, detecting pronunciation errors would be more effective. Furthermore, to eliminate the need to align canonical and recognized phonemes, a novel end-to-end multi-task technique to directly detect pronunciation errors was proposed. The pronunciation error detection models have been used at Amazon to automatically detect pronunciation errors in synthetic speech to accelerate the research into new speech synthesis methods. We study Feynman chekers - one of the most elementary models of electron motion. It is also known as one-dimensional quantum walk or an Ising model at imaginary temperature. We add the simpliest nontrivial electromagnetic field to the model and find the limits of the resulting model for a small lattice step and a large time, similar to the results by J. Narlikar 1972 and G. Grimmet - S. Jason - P. Scudo from the 2000s. It turns out that the limits in the model with the field are obtained from the known ones without a field by a mass renormalization. A trapped Bose--Einstein-condensed mixture of two types of cold atoms with significantly different masses has been simulated numerically within the coupled Gross--Pitaevskii equations. A configuration consisting of a vortex-free core and a shell penetrated by quantum vortices is possible in the phase separation regime. The dynamic properties of vortices in the shell are determined by several parameters. Physically implementable parametric domains corresponding to long-lived strongly nonstationary systems of several vortices attached to the core have been sought. The main goal of this thesis is to develop the integration theory of curved homotopy Lie algebras. In the first chapter, we develop the operadic calculus needed: we encode non-necessarily conilpotent coalgebras with operads and introduce their dual notion of an algebra over a cooperad, which we call "absolute algebras". The first sections of this chapter are a state of the art, and the last three sections are made of original results. In the second chapter, we develop the new theory of curved operadic calculus, which allows us to encode curved types of algebras with curved operads. Finally, in the third chapter, we develop the integration theory of curved absolute homotopy Lie algebras using the tools introduced in the first two chapters. We are concerned by Data Driven Requirements Engineering, and in particular the consideration of user's reviews. These online reviews are a rich source of information for extracting new needs and improvement requests. In this work, we provide an automated analysis using CamemBERT, which is a state-of-the-art language model in French. We created a multi-label classification dataset of 6000 user reviews from three applications in the Health & Fitness field. The results are encouraging and suggest that it's possible to identify automatically the reviews concerning requests for new features. When the manifold is not some quotient of $ \mathbb{S}^{n} $, we show that, on one hand, any smooth function that is a positive constant within some open subset of the manifold with arbitrary positive measure, and has no restriction on the rest of the manifold, is a prescribed scalar curvature function of some metric under conformal change; on the other hand, any smooth function $ S $ is almost a prescribed scalar curvature function of Yamabe metric within the conformal class $ [g] $ in the sense that an appropriate perturbation of $ S $ that defers with $ S $ within an arbitrarily small open subset is a prescribed scalar curvature function of Yamabe metric. We describe a set-up for measurement of the absolute zero by Johnson-Nyquist thermal noise which can be performed within a week in every high-school or university. Necessary electronic components and technical guidelines for the construction of this noise thermometer are given. The operating temperature used is in the tea cup range from ice to boiling water and in this sense the set-up can be given in the hands of every high school and university physics student. The measurement requires a standard multi-meter with thermocouple and voltage probe and gives excellent for education purposes percent accuracy. The explanation is oriented to university level but due to the simplicity of the explanation motivated high-school students can follow the explanation derivation of the used formulas for determination of the absolute zero and the Boltzmann constant. In this article we state and prove the spectral expansion of theta series attached to the symmetric space $\mathrm{GL}_n(E)/\mathrm{GL}_n(F)$ where $n\geq 1$ and $E/F$ is a quadratic extension of number fields. This is an important step towards the fine spectral expansion of the Jacquet-Rallis trace formula for general linear groups. To obtain our result, we extend the work of Jacquet-Lapid-Rogawski on intertwining periods to the case of discrete automorphic representations. The expansion we get is an absolutely convergent integral of relative characters built upon Eisenstein series and intertwining periods. We also establish a crucial but technical ingredient whose interest lies beyond the focus of the article: we prove bounds for discrete Eisenstein series on a neighborhood of the imaginary axis extending previous works of Lapid on cuspidal Eisenstein series., Comment: In English

The Doppler line shifts in the spectra of the Sun and stars with effective temperatures from 4800 to 6200 K were measured and the average connective (granulation) velocities were estimated. The absolute scale of the line shifts for the stars was established on the basis of the derived dependence of the shifts of solar lines on optical depth. For FGK solar-type stars, curves of convection velocities as a function of the height in the atmosphere in a large range of heights from 150 to 700 km were obtained for the first time. All these curves indicate a decrease in blue shifts with height, which means that the granulation velocities through the photosphere slow down to zero. In the lower chromosphere, red shifts of strong Mg I lines are observed, which indicate a change in the direction of granulation velocities to the opposite and confirm the effects of reversal of granulation at heights above 600 km. In cooler K stars, granulation shifts change with height on average from -50 to 100 m/s, while they change more sharply in hotter FG stars from -700 to 300 m/s. The gradient of the line shift curves increases with an increase in the effective temperature and a decrease in gravity, metallicity, and age of the star. The connective velocity of the star averaged over all analyzed heights increases from -90 to -560 m/s from colder to hotter stars. It correlates with macroturbulence, asymmetry of spectral lines, and the rotation velocity of the star. We also obtained the radial velocities of the stars and compared them with the SIMBAD data. We calculate the fourth cluster coefficients of the homogeneous unitary spin 1/2 Fermi gas as functions of the internal-state mass ratio, over intervals constrained by the 3- or 4-body Efimov effect. For this we use our 2016 conjecture (validated for equal masses by Hou and Drut in 2020) in a numerically efficient formulation making the sum over angular momentum converge faster, which is crucial at large mass ratio. The mean cluster coefficient, relevant for equal chemical potentials, is not of constant sign and increases rapidly close to the Efimovian thresholds. We also get the fourth virial coefficients, which we find to be very poor indicators of interaction-induced 4-body correlations. We obtain analytically for all $n$ the cluster coefficients of order $n$ + 1 for an infinity-mass impurity fermion, matching the conjecture for $n=3$. Finally, in a harmonic potential, we predict a non-monotonic behavior of the 3 + 1 cluster coefficient with trapping frequency, near mass ratios where this coefficient vanishes in the homogeneous case., Comment: Published version in English (28 pages) and in French (28 pages)

This article firstly reviews and summarizes the rapid development of information technology, characterized by the close combination of computer and network communication, which leads to a series of investigations, including the analyses of the important role of a series of technological achievements in the context of information movement and application, the interrelationship between the real-world, information space and information system, and the integrated framework of the real-world and information system, and the modifications and improvements of the Xu's previous mathematical theory on information models, properties and metrics. Based on the mathematical foundations, eleven types of information measure efficacies and their distribution across information systems are put forward, and then the dynamics configurations of information systems are comprehensively analyzed, which constitutes the basic theoretical framework of information systems dynamics with general significance. We present an open source model that allows quantitative prediction of the effects of testing on the rate of spread of COVID-19 described by R, the reproduction number, and on the degree of quarantine, isolation and lockdown required to limit it. The first part of this dissertation defines "dependently typed algebraic theories", which are a strict subclass of the generalised algebraic theories (GATs) of Cartmell. We characterise dependently typed algebraic theories as finitary monads on certain presheaf categories, generalising a well-known result due to Lawvere, B\'enabou and Linton for ordinary multisorted algebraic theories. We use this to recognise dependently typed algebraic theories for a number of classes of algebraic structures, such as small categories, n-categories, strict and weak omega-categories, planar coloured operads and opetopic sets. We then show that every locally finitely presentable category is the category of models of some dependently typed algebraic theory. Thus, with respect to their Set-models, these theories are just as expressive as GATs, essentially algebraic theories and finite limit sketches. However, dependently typed algebraic theories admit a good definition of homotopy-models in spaces, via a left Bousfield localisation of a global model structure on simplicial presheaves. Some cases, such as certain "idempotent opetopic theories", have a rigidification theorem relating homotopy-models and (strict) simplicial models. The second part of this dissertation concerns localisations of presentable $(\infty,1)$-categories. We give a definition of "pre-modulator", and show that every accessible orthogonal factorisation system on a presentable $(\infty,1)$-category can be generated from a pre-modulator by iterating a plus-construction resembling that of sheafification. We give definitions of "modulator" and "left-exact modulator", and prove that they correspond to those factorisation systems that are modalities and left-exact modalities respectively. In this paper, we study 2-port networks and introduce new concepts of voltage drop and $\Pi$-equivalence. The main result is that each planar network is $\Pi$-equivalent to a network with no more than 5 edges. This implies that if an octagon in the shape of the letter $\Pi$ can be tiled by squares then it can be tiled by no more than 5 rectangles with rational aspect ratios. We present the results and the main findings of the NLP4IF-2021 shared tasks. Task 1 focused on fighting the COVID-19 infodemic in social media, and it was offered in Arabic, Bulgarian, and English. Given a tweet, it asked to predict whether that tweet contains a verifiable claim, and if so, whether it is likely to be false, is of general interest, is likely to be harmful, and is worthy of manual fact-checking; also, whether it is harmful to society, and whether it requires the attention of policy makers. Task~2 focused on censorship detection, and was offered in Chinese. A total of ten teams submitted systems for task 1, and one team participated in task 2; nine teams also submitted a system description paper. Here, we present the tasks, analyze the results, and discuss the system submissions and the methods they used. Most submissions achieved sizable improvements over several baselines, and the best systems used pre-trained Transformers and ensembles. Recently, the place of the main programming language for scientific and engineering computations has been little by little taken by Julia. Some users want to work completely within the Julia framework as they work within the Python framework. There are libraries for Julia that cover the majority of scientific and engineering computations demands. The aim of this paper is to combine the usage of the Julia framework for numerical computations and for symbolic computations in mathematical modeling problems. The main functional domains determining various variants of the application of computer algebra systems are described. In each of these domains, generic representatives of computer algebra systems in Julia are distinguished. One of the main challenges of the Internet of Things is the interoperability of highly heterogeneous devices, mainly in terms of the communication capabilities and network protocols used. As consequence, the interconnection model of the different devices involves an intermediary device, known as gateway. This gateway is a centralized element for the management of the devices that make up an IoT application. In addition, it is essential for the transmission of information to the Internet, especially when many IoT devices are not IP-based. This chapter describes a proposed model for an IoT gateway that allows the exchange of data through different wireless technologies and forwarding of such data to the Internet. The proposed gateway has important advantages such as: supporting for multiprotocol interconnectivity, the remote configuration of wireless nodes for sensor and actuators management; a flexible algorithm totranslate the data obtained by sensors into a uniform format for transmission to a cloud server; low energy consumption due to efficient data transfer over MQTT protocol. In order to demonstrate the usefulness of the developed gateway, a proof of concept test was implemented. The implemented scenario consists of 2 wireless nodes responsible for sensing environmental variables and transmitting data to the gateway node through different communication protocols. The obtained results show the feasibility for simultaneous data transmission from the remote wireless nodes to the gateway. This chapter briefky describes a study on software defined networks and the tools necessary for video transmission on this type of networks. Among the aspects presented is the methodology used to establish the video transmission and the procedure to evaluate the quality obtained. A video transmission experiment is presented, which consists on the evaluation of adaptive transmission of video streams using adaptive techniques as MPEG/DASH and scalable coding. We consider a natural extension of the Petitot-Citti-Sarti model of the primary visual cortex. In the extended model, the curvature of contours is taking into account such that occluded contours are completed using sub-Riemannian geodesics in the four-dimensional space M of positions, orientations, and curvatures. Here, M=R^2 x SO(2) x R models the configuration space of neurons of the visual cortex. We study the problem of sub-Riemannian geodesics on M via methods of geometric control theory. We prove complete controllability of the system and the existence of optimal controls. By application of Pontryagin maximum principle, we derive a Hamiltonian system that describes the geodesics. We obtain explicit parametrization of abnormal extremals. In the normal case, we provide three functionally independent first integrals. When agents swarm to execute a mission, some of them frequently exhibit sudden failure, as observed from the command base. It is generally difficult to determine whether a failure is caused by actuators (hypothesis, $h_a$) or sensors (hypothesis, $h_s$) by solely relying on the communication between the command base and concerning agent. However, by instigating collusion between the agents, the cause of failure can be identified; in other words, we expect to detect corresponding displacements for $h_a$ but not for $h_s$. In this study, we considered the question as to whether artificial intelligence can autonomously generate an action plan $\boldsymbol{g}$ to pinpoint the cause as aforedescribed. Because the expected response to $\boldsymbol{g}$ generally depends upon the adopted hypothesis [let the difference be denoted by $D(\boldsymbol{g})$], a formulation that uses $D\left(\boldsymbol{g}\right)$ to pinpoint the cause can be made. Although a $\boldsymbol{g}^*$ that maximizes $D(\boldsymbol{g})$ would be a suitable action plan for this task, such an optimization is difficult to achieve using the conventional gradient method, as $D(\boldsymbol{g})$ becomes nonzero in rare events such as collisions with other agents, and most swarm actions $\boldsymbol{g}$ give $D(\boldsymbol{g})=0$. In other words, throughout almost the entire space of $\boldsymbol{g}$, $D(\boldsymbol{g})$ has zero gradient, and the gradient method is not applicable. To overcome this problem, we formulated an action plan using Q-table reinforcement learning. Surprisingly, the optimal action plan generated via reinforcement learning presented a human-like solution to pinpoint the problem by colliding other agents with the failed agent. In research problems that involve the use of numerical methods for solving systems of ordinary differential equations (ODEs), it is often required to select the most efficient method for a particular problem. To solve a Cauchy problem for a system of ODEs, Runge-Kutta methods (explicit or implicit ones, with or without step-size control, etc.) are employed. In that case, it is required to search through many implementations of the numerical method and select coefficients or other parameters of its numerical scheme. This paper proposes a library and scripts for automated generation of routine functions in the Julia programming language for a set of numerical schemes of Runge-Kutta methods. For symbolic manipulations, we use a template substitution tool. The proposed approach to automated generation of program code allows us to use a single template for editing, instead of modifying each individual function to be compared. On the one hand, this provides universality in the implementation of a numerical scheme and, on the other hand, makes it possible to minimize the number of errors in the process of modifying the compared implementations of the numerical method. We consider Runge-Kutta methods without step-size control, embedded methods with step-size control, and Rosenbrock methods with step-size control.
