This paper reflects the research to design and application the complex method to evaluate the quality of the paper written in the IMRaD format. As a field we choose Russian segment of the financial technologies area since we had interest to use multilingual language model. The method covers paper's relevance to the chosen field and internal topics, the actuality, relation between parts, text borrowing, and experiment part. The clustering and classifying algorithms, and language machine learning model were used. The experimental part based on corpus of Russian papers shows the deviation of method's recommendations from expert opinion not more than 20%. With the development of computer technology, automatic test paper generation systems have gradually become an effective tool for detecting and maintaining national machine security and protecting the rights and interests of workers. This article achieved multi-level oral scores for different types of questions through online scoring using artificial neural networks in recent years. Based on its specific situation and evaluation index requirements, an analysis module that is reasonable, efficient, and in line with the hierarchical structure and module requirements of national conditions has been designed to complete the research on automatic test paper generation technology, in order to help better manage and allocate human resources and improve production efficiency. In the wake of the IT revolution of recent decades, Polish companies have experienced changes, such as the obligation to report financials in purely electronic form. This shift creates benefits but is also a source of challenges. The authors' inspiration for this research stems from the recognition of a clear research gap in the literature relating to the electronic reporting of micro and small companies. The article aims to verify how Poland's smallest companies covered by reporting obligations cope with the compulsory compilation, signing and publication of financial statements solely by electronic means. The study was qualitative in nature, followed a case study methodology, and concerned two Polish micro-companies. The results show that the entities analyzed essentially do cope with e-reporting. Certain attributes of these reports - - such as timeliness or completeness, are questionable, however. The results contribute to the understanding of the financial reporting practice by micro companies in Poland. They can indicate directions for changes in the actions taken by those involved in corporate reporting. Cognizance of this issue can also provide the regulator with directions for regulatory changes. The article describes an approach to build a search index for fuzzy objects recognition in scientific and technical papers. A fuzzy object is explained as an entity described by some physical parameters. A physical parameter consists of two parts: a value, represented in various forms of digits, and a physical unit, represented as text with some digits. The approach presented in the article allows users to search not by ordinary substrings, but by physical parameters with range, less than or greater than operators. The current realisation of the approach is a web service that has functionality to perform all stages for extraction of physical parameters of a fuzzy object. These stages are the extraction of sentences, the extraction of physical parameters and the normalisation of physical parameters values. The web service can be exploited in the synchronous and asynchronous modes. The synchronous mode helps to troubleshoot the software. The asynchronous mode is designed to process papers using queues in the distributed computer systems. The current work is aimed to develop a search engine which will address the challenge of structuring information of a continuously growing number of scientific and technical papers. The objective of this paper is to show the added value of using tools such as eyetracking, galvanic skin response, facial coding and others in the field of market research and user experience research. We will present 3 case studies in which these tools have been used successfully. We will give an overview of the background, the objectives, methods and results and how the neuro-tools provided additional insights into consumer behaviour, which would otherwise not have been possible. This is a conceptual article that aims to propose the concept of sensory and emotional smart cultural tourism, whose main idea is to promote the use of digital technologies in an approach that makes them transparent in the tourist experience and that this experience is focused on the sensory and emotional experience, capable of triggering memorable sensory states, that is, unforgettable experiences. The proposal of sensory and emotional smart cultural tourism was conceived through an analytical-reflective literature review and proposes that the empirical approaches to be implemented from the concept take into account the co-design approach. Standardization makes its contributions to many aspects of our lives, although often that contribution is unnoticed. For example, management standards, such as the ISO 9000 family, establish a common ground perspective that enlarges companies' markets and boosts its international reaching, technological development, and innovation while supporting continuous quality improvement in products and services both at a national and international level. Notwithstanding the recognized relevance of some management standards, especially the ones that have an associated certification system to support its knowledge (e.g., ISO 9000 family), little is known about the impact of the standards (e.g., ISO 21500 family) adoption in increasing organizations' performance regarding, for instance, quality, safety, efficiency, or interoperability. This hinders the standards' dissemination and potential use and unnecessarily delays its revision and further development. To help fill this gap, this position paper proposes a research project that includes the development of a model and an observatory focusing on the adoption of management standards. The oil impregnated paper capacitance graded transformer bushings serves as the external connection device of the transformer to support and connect the insulation, and its insulation state is related to the safe and stable operation of substation equipment.In this paper, a simulation model of 110kV oil impregnated paper capacitance graded transformer bushings is constructed on the commercial finite element software platform based on the actual size of the bushing and the principle of equal capacitance and steps. The SIR Iber highlights the geographical location of Ibero-American universities by positioning them according to the indicators grouped into three main factors: research, innovation and social impact. The 2020 edition highlights the formation of three groups of countries according to the production capacity of higher education institutions. In group 1 we have: Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Argentina, and Colombia as Latin American countries that managed to publish more than 60,000 papers in the period 2014-2018. This paper analyzes and compares the indicators from the five (05) Latin American countries in group 1 of the SIR Iber 2020 referring to investment in I+S as a percentage of its Gross Domestic Product (PIB), the number of full-time equivalent researchers (Inv JCE), the production (%) of scientific works in the university education sector, to name a few. A conglomerate formed with the Normalized Impact (NI) of public and private IESs is presented, regarding the global average of citation, with the data published in the SIR IBER 2020 Report, and highlights that Chile has a normalized impact above the World average for both public and private IES publications. COVID-19 is one of the most important topics these days, specifically on search engines and news. While fake news is easily shared, scientific papers are reliable sources where information can be extracted. With about 24,000 scientific publications on COVID-19 and related research on PubMed, automatic computer-assisted analysis is required. In this paper, we develop two methodologies to get insights on specific sub-topics of interest and latest research sub-topics. Abstract writing is a very important since it is the piece of formal writing which should attract the attention of the reader and make him/her read the rest of the paper. Thus, it must be clear, concise, coherent, and powerful enough to attract the reader and provide him/her with the key information about the content of a research paper. All university students have to write an abstract in English in their qualification papers. However, non-native students of English usually have difficulties in writing an abstract in English. For example, the Czech students lack formal writing skills in English since the skill of formal writing is not developed enough in their native language, i.e. Czech. Therefore, the aim of this article is to discuss the use of an off-line scaffolding tool, which can help students develop an abstract in English, as well as to demonstrate how this tool can be incorporated in the whole Course of Practical English taught at the Faculty of Informatics and Management of the University of Hradec Kralove in the Czech Republic. The application was developed for students as support to a face-to-face class instruction, which proved to be insufficient in teaching students how to write an abstract in English. The application reflects the structure and sentence functions of the abstract and provides students with a model abstract, as well as with additional formulations. Overall, the application was designed with the purpose to enhance student's skill of writing an abstract in English, as well as to lead students to successfully complete the task by making the application user-friendly - easy-to-use, accessible and transferrable as far as the knowledge is concerned. In a paper introduction presentation of scientific papers, the presenter needs to understand the contents of a paper, summarizes them by slides and explains them to the audiences, such as participants the paper introduction activity, and discuss the contents with participants. However, if the presenter does not have enough skills for reading the contents deeply or for creating understandable slides, participants are not able to get the importance of the paper precisely and do not have fruitful discussion. For such situation, participants give questions to understand the paper. Therefore, questions regarding to the contents from other participants implicitly suggest problems with the presenter's understanding of the paper and creating the slides. Therefore, it is valuable for the presenter to reflect on their skills that are used to prepare the paper introduction presentation based on the questions asked by other participants. This research proposes a reflection support environment for promoting the active and sufficient reflection using the questions asked by other participants. Our environment prepares an interface that records the activities involved in preparing the presentation, such as understanding papers and creating slides. Our environment also provides an interface with which the presenter can compare the recorded activities and the participants' questions. By comparing the questions with their understanding of papers and created slides, the presenter is encouraged to recognize the insufficient points of their reading and presentation methods. The subsector of pulp and paper presented in 2013 an electric power consumption of 9.3% of electricity consumption in the industrial sector in Brazil. It experienced a significant growth of production in the last 20 years, exceeding 160%, and their consumption of electricity increased by 130%, reaching the level of 19,594GWh. Due to its characteristics, with a known structure and production processes, and its importance in the country's industrial sector, this subsector was selected for study in this paper, to evaluate the behavior of its long-term annual electricity demand, at the horizon of 20 years ahead, in energy efficiency scenarios through bottom-up approach. This approach is data intensive and requires data with good quality; it consists of a hierarchical structure that enables to check how specific actions can affect the results at each level and its effect on higher levels. Success management can bring valuable contributions to improve project results and stakeholders' relationships. However, the success management process must be explicitly integrated into project management approaches, guides and methodologies (such as PMBOK, PRINCE2 or PM2), which is not currently happening. Renewable energy production throughout low-voltage grids has gradually increased in electrical distribution systems, therefore introducing small energy producers - prosumers. This paradigm challenges the traditional unidirectional energy distribution flow to include disperse power production from renewables. To understand how energy usage can be optimized in the dynamic electrical grid, it is important to understand the behavior of prosumers and their impact on the grid's operational procedures. The main focus of this study is to investigate how grid operators can obtain an automatic data-driven system for the low-voltage electrical grid management, by analyzing the available grid topology and time-series consumption data from a real-life test area. The aim is to argue for how different consumer profiles, clustering and prediction methods contribute to the grid-related operations. Ultimately, this work is intended for future research directions that can contribute to improving the trade-off between systematic and scalable data models and software computational challenges. Considering the total number of citations as the sole indicator of a research paper’s success is not always correct. Furthermore, considering the total number of reads (downloads, views, and usage) is not always correct either. Therefore, this paper proposes a new measure called paper impact effectiveness (PIE) that combines both indicators to evaluate the impact of research papers in order to provide a more realistic and fair indicator. Therefore, the total number of downloads for the most popular papers, selected from a single journal, in addition to total citations from Google Scholar were obtained to prove this paper’s argument. Industrial collaborative robots play an essential role in smart manufacturing because they improve productivity while also ensuring workplace safety. However, the development of prognostic and health management systems to ensure the reliability of these robots has been a major challenge due to the lack of fault data. This paper proposed a digital twin scheme based on the fusion of the robot kinematic and dynamic models' information down to the powertrains (i.e., the joints motor, and gear) along with the control algorithms and uncertainty accommodation based upon deep learning. The presented digital twin concept has the potential to propel simulation-based fault prediction. This research paper presents an innovative approach to address the challenges associated with platitudinous paper certificates and electronic certificates. These challenges include issues such as preservation, management, verification inconvenience, poor reliability, and susceptibility to counterfeiting and tampering. The suggested approach involves an autonomous certificate system leveraging blockchain technology and smart contracts. Tailored for university students engaged in innovation and entrepreneurship competitions, this platform is intended to offer blockchain-based certification services. Within this system, various functions related to certificates, such as management, issuance, verification, and revocation, are executed through smart contracts. Structured data within these contracts stores information about signers, certificate templates, and certificate details. This paper overviews an assortment of recent research work undertaken on recommender system models based on using multiple views of user and item-related data across the recommendation process. A summary of representative literature on multi-view recommender approaches is provided, describing their main characteristics, such as: their potential to overcome most common shortcomings in conventional recommender systems, as well as the use of data science, learning techniques and aggregation processes to combine information stemming from multiple views. This paper presents results of topic modeling and network models of topics using the ICCS corpus, which contains domain-specific (computational science) papers over sixteen years (a total of 5695 papers). We discuss topical structures of ICCS, how these topics evolve over time in response to the topicality of various problems, technologies and methods, and how all these topics relate to one another. This analysis illustrates multidisciplinary research and collaborations among scientific communities, by constructing static and dynamic networks from the topic modeling results and the authors’ keywords. The results of this study give insights about the past and future trends of core discussion topics in computational science. We used the Non-negative Matrix Factorization(NMF) topic modeling algorithm to discover topics and labeled and grouped results hierarchically. In advanced missions, handling thin and soft membranes is difficult for robots. This task is composed of several sub-tasks, including turning and removing a sheet from a pile of papers on a table, folding paper, and sticking two pieces of paper together. In this study, a hand robot turns and removes a sheet from a pile of papers, and ensures that only one sheet is grasped. To perform this task, two robotic fingers compress the piled papers in the normal direction of the table with a specific force as they close. We therefore incorporated position-based force control into our system; for the force controller, we adopted stiffness control that calculates position modification proportionally to the difference between the target force and an external force measured by the tactile sensor. With this controller, the robot was able to remove a sheet from a pile of papers and ensure that only one sheet was removed. This paper reports on a study evaluating the value of a documentary as a key medium to communicate design research. We present information from the evaluation of a second screen application using video as well as a scientific paper, in order to assess how the efficacy and usefulness of using such a documentary for science communication is perceived when compared to a scientific paper. Techniques of a method called Design Documentary , developed to inspire design research teams through video, combined with science journalism were the basis of the production. Twelve researchers and students were shown the documentary and asked to read the paper in counter-balanced order. Our qualitative results show that the documentary as a complementary means of communication can bring benefits to research communication, since it delivers information the paper cannot provide. However, the fact the video is not suited for peer review might restrict its place when compared to the paper. On the overall, participants thought both formats are valuable and are complementary. Paper currency recognition (PCR) is an important area of pattern recognition. A system for the recognition of paper currency is one kind of intelligent system which is a very important need of the current automation systems in the modern world of today. It has various potential applications including electronic banking, currency monitoring systems, money exchange machines, etc. This paper proposes an automatic paper currency recognition system for paper currency. A method of recognizing paper currencies has been introduced. This is based on interesting features and correlation between images. It uses Radial Basis Function Network for classification. The method uses the case of Saudi Arabian paper currency as a model. The method is quite reasonable in terms of accuracy. The system deals with 110 images, 10 of which are tilted with an angle less than 15o. The rest of the currency images consist of mixed including noisy and normal images 50 each. It uses fourth series (1984–2007) of currency issued by Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA) as a model currency under consideration. The system produces accuracy of recognition as 95.37%, 91.65%, and 87.5%, for the Normal Non-Tilted Images, Noisy Non-Tilted Images, and Tilted Images respectively. The overall Average Recognition Rate for the data of 110 images is computed as 91.51%. The proposed algorithm is fully automatic and requires no human intervention. Dyslexia is a type of Specific Learning Disability (SLD) that affects the educational development of a student, as it is the reason of difficulties not only in writing or reading but also in other disciplines like Mathematics. Research has proven that Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) can have a positive effect to the educational development of a dyslexic student. In this paper, twenty 6 th -grade primary-school students were observed while using computers during exams - ten with Dyslexia and ten with no SLDs. All students were called to solve a digital test and a paper test that were including some basic mathematic operations. The researcher recorded and examined the differences between the results from the two tests. Descriptive and deductive statistical analysis showed that students had better results when examined via a computer compared to a traditional written examination. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

We conduct a comparative life cycle assessment of two business card options: a smartphone software and the common paper- based alternative. Life cycle impacts of production, distribution and use of business cards were compared and contrasted for both systems. Given the prevalence and multifunctionality of digital devices and services, we analyze the environmental impacts of the two systems and evaluate their total energy consumption, Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions and toxic releases by conducting a two-stage life cycle assessment with alternating functional units. The results indicate that, for a small-scale functional unit, the paper-based business card system causes slightly less environmental impact and has lower energy demand than the software-based (digital) business card system. Whereas when considering the more likely, large scale (real world scenario) functional unit, the digital business card system is more environmentally friendly and economical in terms of energy consumption. By comparing these two systems, this paper serves businesses and consumers when considering environmental consequences and energy depletion of their business networking options. In this work we propose the methodology of building a hybrid Scientific similarity network based on the features obtained from two leading Scientific platforms – ResearchGate and Scopus. Experimental evaluation demonstrates good quality of the proposed approach and ability of the hybrid network to generate interconnections not distinguishable when using a single network. Unimodal biometric systems are susceptible to a variety of problems such as noisy data, intra-class variations, limited degrees of freedom, non-universality, spoof attacks and unacceptable error rates. Some of these limitations can be addressed by deploy multimodal biometric systems that integrates the evidence presented by multiple sources of information The proposed system provides effective fusion scheme that combines information presented by the multiple domain experts based on the Rank level fusion integration method, thereby increasing the efficiency of the system which is not possible by the unimodal biometric system. The proposed multimodal biometric system has a number of unique qualities, including principal component analysis and fisher's linear discriminate methods for individual matchers authentication. The emergence of the Internet has brought revolutionary changes to modern information technology. The development of electronic communication information storage technology facilitates people to access information anytime and anywhere, effectively achieving resource sharing. However, traditional methods scatter communication information to all nodes, but neglect the extraction of electronic communication information association features, resulting in low information storage efficiency. This article analyzes the efficiency management of electronic communication information storage in multi-threaded networks and sets up a control experiment. Comparing the method proposed in this article with traditional methods, this study focuses on five aspects: information redundancy storage, information space utilization, productivity, data accuracy, and data transmission efficiency. It is concluded that the average information redundancy storage capacity of traditional electronic information storage methods is 8.35 x 107 T which is 6 x 107 T higher than using multi wire network electronic communication information storage methods. It indicates that traditional redundant information occupies a large amount of storage space, and its storage value exceeds the upper limit of electronic communication information storage. This means that the stored information may be overwritten by redundant information, resulting in the loss of stored information. The experimental results show that using the method proposed in this paper for electronic communication information storage results in a high distribution density of storage space and a significant improvement in information storage efficiency. The recent pandemic events in Thailand, Covid-19 in 2018, demonstrated the need for an event-based smart monitoring system. While a distributed multi-level architecture has emerged as an architecture of choice for a larger-scale smart event-based system that requires better latency, security, scalability, and reliability, a recently introduced data mesh paradigm can add a few additional benefits. The paradigm enables each district to become an event-based smart monitoring mesh and handle its analytics and monitoring workload. Districts can form a set of domains in a network of event-based smart community monitoring systems and provide data products for others during a crisis. This paper presents a distributed data mesh paradigm for an event-based smart monitoring product in a given community with predefined domains. The paper presents smart monitoring as a data product between domains. Key considerations for designing an event-based smart monitoring data product are given. The author introduces three possible domains necessary for creating a smart monitoring system in each community. Each domain creates a data product for a given domain and shares data between domains. Indigenous communities and their way of life are facing significant challenges due to globalisation, industrialisation and urbanisation, which have forced them to gradually adopt the architecture, lifestyle, and culture of mainstream society. This paper proposes a Smart Vernacular Architecture (SVA) framework and applies it to the indigenous dwellings of the Todas, a tribal community living in India's Nilgiri mountains. The architecture and indoor space quality of these dwellings are investigated in this paper based on specific thermal comfort parameters like the interior temperature and airflow. The indoor temperatures of Toda dwellings are simulated for the predicted climate of 2100 to evaluate their climate resilience. Finally, the paper illustrates the usage of virtual reality (VR) to explore and visualise the Toda settlement and the interior environment parameters of a Toda dwelling to effectively convey and preserve the knowledge of vernacular architecture. In a nutshell, this paper elucidates the advantages of vernacular architecture and construction methods to arouse the interest of academics, policymakers, students, and professionals in preserving architecture, culture, and indigenous knowledge. The omnipresent pervasiveness of personal devices will expand the applicability of the Dynamic Data Driven Application Systems (DDDAS) paradigm in innumerable ways. While every single smartphone or wearable device is potentially a sensor with powerful computing and data capabilities, privacy and security in the context of human participants must be addressed to leverage the infinite possibilities of dynamic data driven application systems. We propose a security and privacy preserving framework for next generation systems that harness the full power of the DDDAS paradigm while (1) ensuring provable privacy guarantees for sensitive data; (2) enabling field-level, intermediate, and central hierarchical feedback-driven analysis for both data volume mitigation and security; and (3) intrinsically addressing uncertainty caused either by measurement error or security-driven data perturbation. Abstract: There are a number of issues which are involved with organizing a conference. Among these issues, assigning conference-papers to reviewers is one of the most difficult tasks. Assigning conference-papers to reviewers is automatically the most crucial part. In this paper, we address this issue of paper-to-reviewer assignment, and we propose a method to model the reviewers, based on the matching degree between the reviewers and the papers by combining a preference-based approach and a topic-based approach. Abstract: Patients with advanced-stage cancer often have a high symptom burden and reduced functional status, implying that the patients themselves should be involved in development and testing of interactive assessment tools. This paper reports on an assessment of use of a pain tool, which led to changes in both medium and program in order to adapt to the patients’ needs and abilities. Our study shows how a change in medium for pain assessment from paper via laptop to iPad affects the interaction with the tool on important aspects of use. We also show how changes of medium affect the readability of the output for health care workers. We achieved better results with an iPad-based pain assessment tool developed through user-centered design compared to both a paper-based and conventional laptop-based tool. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]

Abstract: Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) have been mainly utilized in military applications due to its certainty and efficiency. Nowadays, it is considered to be the first-hand in many civilian applications such as leakage detection. Various technical issues, like power consumption, radio propagation models and sensors need to be considered for different types of applications. Abstract: Recommendation algorithms have been researched extensively to help people deal with abundance of information. In recent years, the incorporation of multiple relevance criteria has attracted increased interest. Such multi-criteria recommendation approaches are researched as a paradigm for building intelligent systems that can be tailored to multiple interest indicators of end-users – such as combinations of implicit and explicit interest indicators in the form of ratings or ratings on multiple relevance dimensions. Nevertheless, evaluation of these recommendation techniques in the context of real-life applications still remains rather limited. Previous studies dealing with the evaluation of recommender systems have outlined that the performance of such algorithms is often dependent on the dataset – and indicate the importance of carrying out careful testing and parameterization. Especially when looking at large scale datasets, it becomes very difficult to deploy evaluation methods that may help in assessing the effect that different system components have to the overall design. In this paper, we study how layered evaluation can be applied for the case of a multi-criteria recommendation service that we plan to deploy for paper recommendation using the Mendeley dataset. Abstract: We propose an intelligent sensor system based on a new sensing methodology, relying also on 3D map reconstruction techniques, for computing with high precision, in real-time and without human intervention the parameters needed for stream-flow computa- tion: water levels, morphology of the streams of all potentially flooded areas by each controlled stream. The collected data will be continuously transmitted, through a communication infrastructure, to software agents designed to compute the stream-flow and to quantify the spatial distribution of flood risk for each controlled watershed. The computed risks, together with other data coming from other sources (barometric sensors, camera operators of public organizations, emergency agencies, private citizens), will be analyzed by a diagnostic decision system implementing a risk-alert scheduling strategy. This system will be able to diagnose the health state of the controlled environment and to define specialized alarm levels for each potentially interested area that will be used to alert all citizens (ubiquity) locally present (alerting locality). Abstract: We are investigating the use of natural user interfaces (NUI) applied to information and communication technologies (ICT) supporting workplace dynamics in partnership with mental health providers at a hospital in Brazil. We are using a participatory design (PD) process to uncover their paper-based workflow, defined here as paper user interface workflow (PUI) and their appropriation of mobile technologies supporting patients’ socialization process. We chose this group as they have no experience with graphical user interface (GUI) based interaction, are highly nomadic, have a refined workflow, have a high level of interdependence and are appropriating mobile technologies and social media into their workplace; thus, we believe their perspective within a PD setting provide unique insights into NUI design to provide high fidelity data and real time communication, enhancing data accessibility and fidelity on communication among the professionals. Abstract: Image acquisition has great influence on the performance of any computer vision application. Different methods can be utilized to acquire the digital image of a paper, whilst scanning scheme is among the most attractive methods. This attractiveness is because of the fewer types of potential deformations and the low cost of the scanning devices, e.g. flatbed scanners. However, paper is commonly placed imperfectly on the scanner. This slight rotation is not usually based on a pivot around the paper''s geometrical center (the well known regular rotation) but instead it is based on a pivot placed at the corner of the paper. Thus, the result is a digital image that is deformed with an “irregular rotation”. The characteristic of this deformation phenomenon is currently unknown to computer vision scientists. In this paper we provide an extensive investigation of this deformation. In addition, a new set of equations that sway and measure the transformation is proposed. Our investigation leads to the conclusion that the “irregular rotation” phenomenon produces a shear transformation. Furthermore, the experimental results confirm the theoretical findings. Abstract: MobilePaperAccess is a wearable camera-glasses system with tangible user interface allowing mobile interaction. We access the digital information from a paper interface extending the input space. The system is devised to validate our concepts of Environment Dependent Interface (EDI) and Environment Independent Interface (EII), which focus on enabling people to access their personal data as well as public resources at any time and in any place. In this paper, we propose a continuum from physical interface to digital interface in relation with EDI and EII, and we present design, implementation and evaluation aspects of our MobilePaperAccess system. Abstract: Lepton is an automaton for literate executable papers. It enables researchers to publish their work in the form of a script or program that can generate the research paper along with the corresponding source code, input data and output results. Lepton files do not contain pre-computed results, but the full set of instructions for reproducing the results presented in the manuscript. Taking inspiration from literate programming for code review and code re-use, we have written Lepton to facilitate the review and re-use of computational methods. Lepton is designed to provide strong guarantees for the reproducibil-ity of the results, many features for easily applying the methods to new data while remaining unobtrusive and easy to deploy in any environment. Lepton is designed for writing reproducible technical reports during method development, and journal manuscripts when the research is polished. Abstract: Reviewing the computational part of scientific papers puts a lot of effort on referees: even if authors provide their data and code the referee often needs to install additional software on his machine and figure out which parts of the code belong to which part of the manuscript. As a result, computational results or often not reviewed at all. We propose a new web service which outsources validation of computational results in executable papers to an independent third party. Our system adapts the well-tested toolbox currently checking R extension packages in software repositories like CRAN to check manuscripts in paper repositories.
