This study examines the impact of social media addiction on phubbing behavior, as well as the factors that contribute to social media addiction. These factors include envy, fear of missing out, and social media influencers. This study utilized a quantitative method and non-probability purposive sampling to gather data. Data from 307 respondents aged 13 to 35 was analyzed using the SEM-PLS method. Results showed that envy, fear of missing out, and social media influencers were significant predictors of social media addiction, which subsequently led to phubbing. Uncertainty is a pervasive feature of organizational membership, exasperated by the presence of newcomers. Using uncertainty management theory (UMT), this study explored how veteran organizational members emotionally respond to the presence of new coworkers. Results revealed that veteran organizational members' perceptions of new coworkers' work, social, and relational performance associated with veteran members' jealousy, envy, and job insecurity. This study progresses knowledge of how organizational members emotionally respond to uncertainty. Considering the "Great Resignation," managers should clarify newcomers' roles while veterans and newcomers should acquaint themselves with one another and find common ground for themselves and their organizations. Justice-making institutions rest on a vast network of rules, people, and artifacts. The federal criminal code of the United States, for example, has hundreds of sections with provisions for robbery and burglary, counterfeit bonds, chemical weapons, riots, expenditures to influence voting, and many others. This complexity can be traced to a handful of biological games played by our foraging ancestors in their small, stateless societies. The overarching theme is conflict. Justice is predicated on actual or possible conflicts of interest. Individual brains include an array of adaptations that were selected for because they regulated conflict in ways that promoted fitness: concepts (e.g., wrongful act , unjust distribution), intuitions (e.g., a wrong deserves a punishment), and emotion systems (e.g., anger), among others. These ancient adaptations appear to form the core of justice institutions in modern societies—a core that is augmented by deliberation and writing systems. This theory of justice institutions can generate distinctive predictions. For example, the logic of justice institutions will echo the logic of their underlying adaptations and thus will be apparent in people's interactions. Further, laypeople will be able to intuitively recreate basic features of justice institutions near and far, past and present—because they have a common human nature with domestic and foreign lawmakers. Here, we review evidence relevant to (i) the criminal justice system and (ii) government redistribution in light of this adaptationist theory. This study aims at analyzing the influence of workplace envy on turnover intention mediated by negative emotion and perception of injustice in State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs/BUMN) bank employees in West Sulawesi Province. The technique used is proportional sample with the help of the application of SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) and SPSS on the Sobel Test which is operated through the AMOS program. The results revealed that workplace envy has a positive influence on turnover intention, workplace envy has a positive influence on negative emotion, and workplace envy has a positive influence on perception of injustice, negative emotion has a positive influence on turnover intention, perception of injustice has positive influence on turnover intention. Negative emotion mediates the influence of workplace envy on turnover intention and perception of injustice mediates the influence of workplace envy on turnover intention. This study only focuses on the antecedent variables of the turnover intention, namely workplace envy, negative emotion, and perception of injustice, while it is known that there are many factors that can influence turnover intention. Regarding the factors that influence the turnover intention, this study only focuses on the antecedent variables of the turnover intention, namely workplace envy, negative emotion, and perception of injustice, while it is known that there are many other factors that can influence turnover intention. Although many studies reveal the effects of social media on destination choice or image, scant research investigates viewers' dynamic psychological nature induced by social media sources and contents. This study aims to fill that gap by examining the interaction effects of sources and landmark types on viewers' emotional and behavioral responses within the realm of social media-induced tourism. Utilizing a 2 (source type: influencer vs. peer) x 2 (landmark type: heritage vs. iconic) x 4 (message repetition) mixed-subject factorial design, an online experiment was conducted with 700 Instagram users randomly assigned to different conditions. The findings showed that influencers' posts exert a significant influence on outcome variables compared to peers' posts. Specifically, viewers exhibited increased levels of benign envy and a greater intention to visit when viewing influencers' posts about iconic landmarks. Individuals with high fear of missing out showed a heightened intention to visit when seeing peers' posts about heritage landmarks. Envy is a vice that is both widespread and uniquely corrosive, undermining relationships among ministry and teaching colleagues. This article draws upon a wide array of historical and contemporary ministers, theologians, philosophers, and social scientists to look at the meaning of envy, the contexts in which envy is most likely to emerge, the destructive power of envy, and the perspectives and practices that are necessary for envy to be tamed in church and school environments. Online self-presentation of luxury tourism experiences can lead to negative outcomes such as others' envy and hostility in online travel communities (OTCs). Thus, some users have learned to present their tourism experience in a more implicit manner, rather than being explicit, and the influence of different self-presentations merits exploration in the tourism literature. Drawing on the theory of value co-destruction, we examine whether, how, and when explicit (vs. implicit) self-presentation of luxury tourism experiences would induce others' value co-destruction intention by triggering perceived conflict in OTCs. Three experiments show that explicit (vs. implicit) self-presentation is more likely to trigger others' value co-destruction intention by intensifying perceived informational and relational conflict. In addition, for implicit self-presentation, those sharing similar experiences with luxury self-presenters would develop weaker conflict perceptions than would those without similar experiences. Drawing on social comparison theory, this study examines the influence of supervisor dispositional envy and episodic envy of a subordinate on abusive supervision. Integrating the power depdence theory, we further argue that the supervisor's power dependence at the dyadic level on the surbodinate influence envy and abusive supervision. Furthermore, we posit that the supervisor's narcissism and neuroticism at the supervisor level influenc envy and abusive supervision. Two dyadic-designed studies are developed, collecting data from supervisor-surbodinates dyads in the Chinese hotel industry. Study 1 primarily examines the effect of dispositional envy on episodic envy and abusive supervision, while also exploring the moderating role of power dependence. Study 2 replicates the relationships between two forms of envy and abusive supervision. The moderating effects of the supervisor's narcissism and neuroticism were also examined in Study 2. The decline and death of an adult patient's parent impacts treatment in ways that are often out of the awareness of analyst and patient. Internal and external family constellations, dynamics, and defenses become unsettled. A patient may unconsciously revert to earlier ways of being as they try to adapt to the changing nature of the parent/child relationship. In this adaptation, behaving and feeling as one did at an earlier time symbolically turns the present into the past. Thus, time is symbolically reversed. This rekindling of childhood fantasies—often emanating from envy, jealousy, and competition—can affect the transference and countertransference as well as the nature of the mourning process itself. Enactments, resistances, and returns to historic ways of relating become a greater part of the analytic experience. Rather than blaming students for failing to extract key information from the syllabus, Germano and Nicholls assume students to be well-intentioned people for whom the syllabus (and, by extension, the work of one course) is competing with other commitments. 2 Both "syllabi" and "syllabuses" are correct plural forms of syllabus, but rather than use a Latin conjugation ("syllabi") for what Germano and Nicholls point out was originally a Greek word, I have opted to use "syllabuses" here. If we fail to write a syllabus that accurately reflects our course goals and values- for example, if we include readings or assignments that are incompatible with them-then we signal, however unwittingly, that our syllabus is not to be trusted. Aristotle does not explain why ordinary citizens who lack the virtue of justice nevertheless praise justice and the law. Indignation (nemesis), defined as pain at the undeserved gains of others, is a promising candidate in the list of means regarding virtues and passions in Book 2 of the Nicomachean Ethics. However, as many scholars have noted, Aristotle's description of indignation as a mean is flawed. Moreover, indignation is the only characteristic in the list that disappears from the inquiry thereafter. I argue that Aristotle obliquely criticizes indignation for aligning envy, a base passion, with conventional justice. Debate over wealth redistribution plays a prominent role in society, but the causes of differences in support for redistribution remain contested. A recent three-person two-situation model suggests these differences are shaped by evolved motivational systems of self-interest, compassion, and dispositional envy. We conducted a close replication testing this prediction, all subjects were British, recruited from an online subject pool. Study 1 (N = 206) confirmed the roles of self-interest (β = 0.20) and compassion for others (β = 0.37), as well as a predicted null effect of procedural fairness. Dispositional envy was non-significant (β = 0.06). In study 2 (N = 304), we tested whether it was better to conceptualize envy as being two separate emotions, benign envy and malicious envy. A significant effect of malicious envy was found (β = 0.13) and no significant effect of benign envy (β = −0.06). Study 3 (N = 501) closely replicated this improved model, confirming significant effects of compassion (β = 0.40), self-interest (β = 0.21), and malicious envy (β = 0.15), accounting for one third of variance in support for redistribution.
