Antecedentes: A má nutrição infantil é desafio para os formuladores de políticas públicas e prioridade nas ações de prevenção da obesidade e outras formas de má nutrição. Objetivo: analisar os resultados preliminares de um programa municipal de articulação intersetorial para a promoção da saúde nutricional e bem-estar de crianças de 0 a 10 anos em uma cidade do interior do Estado de São Paulo. Método: trata-se de um estudo descritivo referente à fase inicial de um programa desenvolvido participativamente a partir da teoria da mudança. O estudo foi realizado no município de Tupã, do estado de São Paulo e os dados são referentes ao período entre maio à dezembro de 2022. O processo envolve os gestores e técnicos das secretarias municipais de educação, saúde e desenvolvimento social, as comunidades assistidas por esses serviços, bem como outros parceiros locais. O trabalho vem sendo facilitado por um grupo de especialistas vinculado à academia. Resultados: O planejamento intersetorial resultou na criação de uma lei municipal visando a saúde nutricional e o bem-estar das crianças e na elaboração de um plano de ação intersetorial, com metas de curto, médio e longo prazo para que o município em 2030 esteja entre os 10 municípios do Estado de São Paulo, com os melhores indicadores de saúde e bem-estar das crianças. Nesse estudo preliminar, foram realizadas ações que incluíram avaliações nutricionais em escolas e creches para crianças até 6 anos. Foram avaliados 60,83% (n=1592), das 2617 matriculadas. Além disso, formações com especialistas de referência em recuperação e educação nutricional infantil foram fornecidas à 100% (n=32) dos profissionais do desenvolvimento social e 90,57% (n=336) da educação. Conclusão: O processo de concepção, elaboração e implementação de políticas intersetoriais foi desafiador, mas resultou em grande mobilização da cidade e numa proposta robusta que vem mostrando os primeiros resultados positivos.
