White Spot Syndrome Virus (WSSV) was purified from hemolymph of infected shrimp. After nucleic acid extraction from the purified virus particles, EcoR I-digested fragments of the WSSV genome were cloned; three of these fragments were used as non-radioactive probes labeled with DIG-11-dUTP. The probes hybridized in situ, with sections located in the nuclei of all WSSV-infected tissues. The virus was detected in the gill, stomach, epidermis, and connective tissue and so on, but not detected in healthy shrimp tissues and epithelial cells of hepatopancreatic tubules of diseased shrimp.

The concentration dependence of the magnetic properties of Pr2Fe14−xMnxC, 0.3≤x≤10, compounds has been in Mn substitution leads to a decrease of the saturation moment, accompanied by a strong reduction of the Curie temperature. Anisotropy constants have been deduced from an analysis of high-field magnetisation isotherms at 4.2 K. First-order magnetisation processes (FOMP) have been observed.

Magnetocrystalline anisotropy of Prn+1Co3n+5B2ncompounds has been studied. An analysis is given of the room temperature anisotropy constants of these compounds by using a model of Streever. Effect of different Co atom sites in the Prn+1Co3n+5B2ncompounds on the anisotropic properties is discussed.
