Cisplatin is a cornerstone chemotherapy for nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC); however, certain patients are ineligible for cisplatin-based regimens. This phase 2 trial (NCT04405622) evaluated the efficacy and safety of gemcitabine and toripalimab in previously untreated patients with recurrent or metastatic NPC who were either ineligible for cisplatin or had experienced severe adverse events from prior cisplatin-based treatments. Patients received gemcitabine (1,000 mg/m2) and toripalimab (240 mg) every three weeks for six cycles, followed by toripalimab monotherapy for up to two years. The primary endpoint was the incidence of grade ≥3 adverse events, while secondary endpoints included objective response rate (ORR) and overall survival (OS). Of 30 screened patients, 21 were enrolled. No treatment-related fatalities occurred, with the most frequent adverse events being headache and nausea. The ORR was 61.9%, coupled with a disease control rate of 100%. Overall, gemcitabine plus toripalimab demonstrated low toxicity and promising efficacy for this specific patient cohort.

Locoregional radiotherapy added to chemotherapy has significantly improved survival in de novometastatic nasopharyngeal carcinoma (mNPC). However, only 54% of de novomNPC patients who received sequential chemoradiotherapy have complete or partial response 3 months after radiotherapy. This Simon’s optimal two-stage design phase II study (NCT04398056) investigates whether PD-1 inhibitor could improve tumor control in combination with chemoradiation. The primary endpoint is objective response rate (ORR) at 3 months after radiotherapy. Twenty-two patients with primary mNPC are enrolled. The ORR at 3 months after radiotherapy is 81.8% (22.7% complete response, n = 5; 59.1% partial response, n = 13), and the disease control rate is 81.8%. The 3-year progression-free survival (PFS) rate is 44.9% (95% confidence interval 26.4%–76.3%). Fifteen patients (68.2%) experienced grade 3–4 adverse events. Patients with high baseline plasma Epstein-Barr virus DNA copy number (>104cps/mL) show worse PFS. Addition of toripalimab to sequential chemoradiotherapy suggests promising tumor response in patients with primary mNPC.

This paper introduces the work process and mechanism of the head-box, from the experimental point of view, analyzed the relationship between the head-box control parameters. The relationship between the level and the total pressure and the relationship between the fan pressure and total pressure is give. Through various experimental results, the control algorithm and strategy of the head-box is proposed. The practice shows that the total pressure control precision is about 3%.

The role of a triple combination of gemcitabine (chemotherapy) plus apatinib (anti-vascular endothelial growth factor [VEGFR]) and toripalimab (anti-PD-1) (GAT) in recurrent/metastatic nasopharyngeal carcinoma (RM-NPC) is unclear.

Because the solar energy density is small and the solar orientation changes over time, it’s difficult to collect, transmit and store the solar energy. Therefore, the utilization of solar energy is improved by using the technology of high-power condenser and automatic tracking, and the scope of solar energy application is also expanded. Tracking photovoltaic system be made of sun sensor, automatic tracking control system, the tracking actuator, solar panel, battery. With the guidance of the sensor, the control system can accurately track the position of the sun, so that the solar panel is always vertical to sunlight, to maximize use of eventually reaching solar efficiency. Data show that the utilization efficiency of solar energy can be improved about 10%.

This paper presents a single axis tracking solar photovoltaic system,the system has the advantages of simple structure, high control accuracy, low cost. The tracking system be composed of sunlight sensor, controller, barrel ,motor. It can freely achieve to rotate in the space within the range from 0°to 180°. The sunshine vertical irradiation bias in the solar panel is not more than 0.3°. Compared with the fixed photovoltaic system,it can effectively improve the utilization efficiency of solar energy.

The cast-in-situ reinforced concrete grillage shear wall system with non-dismantling formwork is a new type of structural system characterized by load-bearing and thermal insulation, and the research on the construction technique is crucial to its promotion and application. Combined with the pilot building, the key technology and construction measures are introduced in this paper, which can provide reference for the related projects in future.

The purpose of this study was to compare the efficacy and safety of a single subcutaneous injection of pegylated filgrastim with daily filgrastim as a prophylaxis for neutropenia induced by commonly used chemotherapy regimens. Fifteen centers enrolled 337 chemotherapy-naive cancer patients with normal bone marrow function. All patients randomized into AOB and BOA arms received two cycles of chemotherapy. Patients received a single dose of pegylated filgrastim 100 µgkg in cycle 1 (AOB) or cycle 2 (BOA) and daily doses of filgrastim 5 µgkgday in cycle 1 (BOA) or cycle 2 (AOB). Efficacy and safety parameters were recorded. The primary end point was the rate of protection against grade 4 neutropenia after chemotherapy defined as the rate at which the absolute neutrophil count (ANC) remained >0.5×109l throughout the entire cycle. Ninety-four percent of patients receiving pegylated filgrastim or filgrastim did not develop grade 4 neutropenia. The incidence of ANC<1.0×109l was 16.0 (50313) after support with either pegylated filgrastim or filgrastim. The incidences of febrile neutropenia and antibiotic administration were similar in both groups. Notably, faster ANC recovery was observed with pegylated filgrastim support. The ANC nadir was also earlier with pegylated filgrastim (day 7) support than with filgrastim support (day 9), although the depth of nadir was not significantly different. A single subcutaneous injection of pegylated filgrastim 100 gkg provided adequate and safe neutrophil support comparable with daily subcutaneous injections of unmodified filgrastim 5 gkgday in patients receiving commonly used standard-dose mild-to-moderate myelosuppressive chemotherapy regimens.

Suspended dome is a reasonable and novel type of long-span hybrid spatial structures based upon single-layer spherical lattice shell and tensegrity system. Based upon the structural force-bearing characteristics, the combined finite element model of beam elements, truss elements and cable elements is set up. A method taking the maximum displacement on nodes under earthquake acceleration of each level as dynamic response representative parameter is proposed to study the dynamic stable ultimate capacity of suspended dome by application of the incremental dynamic analysis in combination with B-R kinetic criterion. Furthermore, considering suspended dome has the clear advantage over Single-Layer Spherical Lattice Shell for a structure with a long span and a small ratio of rise to span, the influences of factors such as structural parameters, geometric parameters, and different earthquake input are investigated on dynamic stability for a kiewitt-type suspended dome with a long span and a small ratio of rise to span. Finally of suspended dome some conclusions are obtained such as the initial defects can clearly reduce dynamic stable ultimate capacity, and since the rise-span ratio, pre-stressing level and cross section area are not monotonous as variety to the structural dynamic stability, they should be optimized to enhance or improve the structural dynamic stability, which can be rules for engineering design.

To investigate the axial compressive behavior of reinforced concrete columns with strong confinement, a total of five full-scale reinforced concrete columns with stirrup characteristic values in the range 0.22~0.47 and section dimension 600mm×600mm were tested under concentric compression loading. The test results indicated that all specimens failed in a similar way. The longitudinal bars buckled in compression; the peripheral stirrups bowed out and several stirrups fractured; the cover concrete in the mid-height section of specimens spalled seriously; however, the core concrete of specimens was not crushed. The axial compressive bearing capacity and deformation ability of reinforced concrete columns could be improved by strong confinement. When specimens reached the ultimate bearing capacity, the longitudinal reinforcement yielded and provided axial bearing capacity for specimens; the transverse reinforcement reached tensile yield strength and provided effective confinement for the core concrete.

3 specimens of full-scale reinforced concrete columns were tested under monotonic axial loading, in which the hoop configuration of one specimen was #, and the other two used the two-directional composite spiral hoops. The axial compressive performances of full-scale reinforced concrete columns confined by different configurations and strengths of hoops were discussed. One of the columns confined by spiral hoops used high-strength steels with the yield strength of 1000MPa as hoops, while the other two columns used ordinary-strength steel with yield strength of 400MPa. Columns confined by spiral hoops exhibited slight higher bearing capacity and better deformation ability than columns with hoop configuration #. The results also indicated that compared with the specimen used ordinary-strength hoops, the bearing capacity of the specimen used high-strength hoops was basically the same, but the deformation ability improved obviously.

Axial compression experiments of four full-scale reinforced concrete columns of two groups were carried out. One group of three columns used high-strength steel with the yield strength of 1000MPa as reinforcement hoops, and the second group used the ordinary-strength steel with yield strength of 400MPa. The axial compressive performances between these two groups were assessed. Compared to the specimen using the ordinary-strength steel, the axial compressive bearing capacity of using the high strength steel dose not increase significantly, while the deformation ability increases greatly. The results also indicate that the stress redistributions of the hoops and the concrete sections are obvious, and long-lasting when specimens achieve the ultimate bearing capacity after the yield of the rebar and local damage of concrete materials, at this time the strain of the specimens developes a lot, especially stress - strain curves of speciments with high-strength hoop all show a wide and flat top.

As a new type of structural system, the cast-in-situ reinforced concrete grillage shear wall system has functions of formwork, strength and heat preservation at the same time. It is suitable for residential buildings in seismic and non-seismic areas. The results of quasi-static tests on 20 specimens of small and large grid size grillage shear walls with different shear span ratios show that: both of small and large grid size grillage shear walls have excellent seismic performance; shear or bending deformation of horizontal and vertical limbs dissipate seismic energy so the elastic-plastic deformability of grillage shear walls meet the requirements of shear wall structure under strong earthquakes; the bearing capacity of grillage shear wall was calculated with formulas used for solid RC shear walls. The equivalent thickness of grillage shear wall equalized as solid shear wall is determined by elastic finite element analysis.
