Although the area occupied by cities is very small, they consume between 60% and 80% of the energy. Specifically, in buildings it reaches 36%. For this reason, any measure that favors the use of non-polluting energies or the reduction of energy consumption in them has a great multiplier effect. This has given rise, on the one hand, to government authorities having them as priorities for improvement, and on the other, to researchers increasing their studies on them. This work carries out a synopsis of the investigations that reveal or calculate the energy consumption of buildings. Prisma methodology has been followed for its realization. The investigation reveals that more than half of the publications have focused on residential buildings. The search for manuscripts in a systematic way did not give the expected results, so the identification of studies via other methods was necessary. In fact, more than 90% of the search has been carried out on publications obtained by other means. These have been based on the iterative search for references from those initially obtained by the Prisma methodology. In addition, a classification based on the use of the building and how the studies have been published is presented. A section including calculation methods has also been added because some studies have included buildings dedicated to different uses. Finally, approximate values of energy consumption according to the type of building and possible future variables to be used in certain buildings have been added. In this way, it is intended to facilitate the search for information for researchers interested in knowing the energy consumption in buildings based on their use.

Mental health (MH) care has important challenges, especially in the field of humanization. Our objectives were to identify the humanization measures in MH plans of the Spanish autonomous communities (AC) and the priorities to be developed in this area.

Resumen:Este ensayo analiza La vuelta al mundo en la "Numancia" (1906) desde una perspectiva que evidencia sus tensiones pos/neocoloniales subyacentes. A partir de la idea de "pensamiento nómada" de Gilles Deleuze y Félix Guattari, se desentraña la complejidad de una novela cuyo protagonista en "fuga" (Ansúrez) impregna el espacio textual en movimiento para repensar el proyecto de nación española moderna a principios del siglo XX contra y desde fuera de su relación con el Estado. El análisis propuesto permite detectar las dinámicas latentes de la novela: una, desterritorializadora, que resiste las tendencias neocoloniales; y otra, reterritorializadora, que, al resituar España como centro y núcleo de poder de la idea de hispanoamericanismo o "familia hispana", reformula la matriz colonial a lo largo del Atlántico hispano.Abstract:This essay analyses La vuelta al mundo en la "Numancia" (1906) from a theoretical approach that helps uncover underlying pos/neocolonial tensions. Adopting Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari's concept of "nomad thinking", this essay unravels both the novel's complexity and its main character. The fleeing nature of the protagonist impregnates the textual space in motion in order to rethink Spain's nation-building project at the beginning of the twentieth century, against and outside its relation to the State. This analysis underlines dormant dynamics in the novel: a deterritorializing one that resists neocolonial tendencies and a reterritorializing move that, by restoring Spain back as the center and nucleus of power that defines the idea of hispanoamericanismo or "Hispanic family", reformulates the colonial matrix across the Hispanic Atlantic.

Adaptation of avian influenza RNA polymerase (FluPol) to human cells requires mutations on the 627-NLS domains of the PB2 subunit. The E627K adaptive mutation compensates a 33-amino-acid deletion in the acidic intrinsically disordered domain of the host transcription regulator ANP32A, a deletion that restricts FluPol activity in mammalian cells. The function of ANP32A in the replication transcription complex and in particular its role in host restriction remains poorly understood. Here we characterize ternary complexes formed between ANP32A, FluPol, and the viral nucleoprotein, NP, supporting the putative role of ANP32A in shuttling NP to the replicase complex. We demonstrate that while FluPol and NP can simultaneously bind distinct linear motifs on avian ANP32A, the deletion in the shorter human ANP32A blocks this mode of colocalization. NMR reveals that NP and human-adapted FluPol, containing the E627 K mutation, simultaneously bind the identical extended linear motif on human ANP32A in an electrostatically driven, highly dynamic and multivalent ternary complex. This study reveals a probable molecular mechanism underlying host adaptation, whereby E627K, which enhances the basic surface of the 627 domain, is selected to confer the necessary multivalent properties to allow ANP32A to colocalize NP and FluPol in human cells.

Purpose: This study aims to determine how the most sustainable brands in Italy and Spain developed communication and awareness-raising actions during the COVID-19 pandemic and whether these companies were truly involved in raising public awareness of the pandemic. The authors specifically focus on sustainable companies, as health communication is considered to be an important corporate social responsibility task. Design/methodology/approach: To answer these questions, the authors have used data on the social media activity (Twitter and Instagram) of these brands in Spain and Italy, extracting the posts and associated hashtags that each of them has published throughout the pandemic to be processed using social network analysis and visualization techniques. Findings: The detailed analysis of both the levels of activity and the content of the messages provides interesting insights into the communication models of the companies and the influence of factors such as time, country and the specific social media platform used. Originality/value: The authors analyze the communication of the most sustainable businesses on social media during the pandemic, adopting a highly innovative approach. The particular originality of this study lies in the parallel analysis of two different countries that were simultaneously shaken by the pandemic in very similar circumstances. This study also presents a novel use of graphical representation tools in terms of companies’ behavior for health communication on social media. Objetivo: El objetivo de esta investigación es determinar cómo las marcas reconocidas como las más sostenibles en Italia y España han desarrollado acciones de comunicación durante la pandemia del Covid-19 y si estas empresas se han involucrado realmente en la sensibilización pública de la pandemia. Nos centramos específicamente en las empresas sostenibles dado que la Comunicación en Salud se considera una tarea importante de responsabilidad social corporativa. Diseño/metodología/enfoque: Para responder a estas preguntas, hemos utilizado datos de actividad en medios sociales (Twitter e Instagram) de estas marcas en España e Italia, extrayendo los posts y hashtags asociados que cada una ha publicado a lo largo de la pandemia para procesarlos usando técnicas de análisis y visualización de redes sociales. Resultados: El análisis detallado tanto de los niveles de actividad como del contenido de los mensajes permite obtener conclusiones interesantes sobre los modelos de comunicación de las empresas y la influencia de factores como el tiempo, el país y el medio social concreto utilizado. Originalidad: Analizamos la comunicación realizada por las compañías más sostenibles en medios sociales durante la pandemia, adoptando un enfoque muy innovador. La particularidad de este estudio radica en el análisis paralelo de dos países diferentes que fueron sacudidos simultáneamente por la pandemia en circunstancias muy similares. Introduction: This study aimed to assess high healthcare utilization over 1 year in patients with axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA) and factors associated with increased healthcare utilization. Methods: A total of 530 unselected patients with axSpA from the Atlas of Axial Spondyloarthritis in Spain—who had used at least one healthcare resource—were included in the present study. Total health care utilization was obtained from the total number of healthcare visits, medical tests, hospital admissions and emergency visits, during the 12 months prior to the survey. Linear regression was used to analyse possible factors associated with higher healthcare utilization. Results: A total of 530 patients with axSpA participated in this study: mean age was 45.3 years and 51.1% were female. In the previous 12 months, 77.9% (n= 530) used at least one healthcare resource, with the median healthcare utilization at 25. In the multiple linear regression, the only categorical factor associated with higher healthcare utilization was female gender (β = 12.854), while the continuous factors associated with higher healthcare utilization were higher disease activity (β = 3.378), longer diagnostic delay (β = 0.959), younger age (β = − 0.737) and greater functional limitation (β = 0.576). Conclusion: Half of patients with axSpA used 25 or more healthcare resources during 1 year. Higher healthcare utilization was associated with younger age, female gender, greater disease activity, higher functional limitation and longer diagnostic delay. Optimal monitoring of patients with axSpA may help to reduce their healthcare utilization.

Background/Objectives: Fat-mass (FM) assessment since birth using valid methodologies is crucial since excessive adiposity represents a risk factor for adverse metabolic outcomes. Aim: To develop infant FM prediction equations using anthropometry and validate them against air-displacement plethysmography (ADP). Subjects/Methods: Clinical, anthropometric (weight, length, body-mass index –BMI–, circumferences, and skinfolds), and FM (ADP) data were collected from healthy-term infants at 1 (n= 133), 3 (n= 105), and 6 (n= 101) months enrolled in the OBESO perinatal cohort (Mexico City). FM prediction models were developed in 3 steps: 1) Variable Selection (LASSO regression), 2) Model behavior evaluation (12-fold cross-validation, using Theil-Sen regressions), and 3) Final model evaluation (Bland-Altman plots, Deming regression). Results: Relevant variables in the FM prediction models included BMI, circumferences (waist, thigh, and calf), and skinfolds (waist, triceps, subscapular, thigh, and calf). The R2of each model was 1 M: 0.54, 3 M: 0.69, 6 M: 0.63. Predicted FM showed high correlation values (r≥ 0.73, p< 0.001) with FM measured with ADP. There were no significant differences between predicted vs measured FM (1 M: 0.62 vs 0.6; 3 M: 1.2 vs 1.35; 6 M: 1.65 vs 1.76 kg; p> 0.05). Bias were: 1 M −0.021 (95%CI: −0.050 to 0.008), 3 M: 0.014 (95%CI: 0.090–0.195), 6 M: 0.108 (95%CI: 0.046–0.169). Conclusion: Anthropometry-based prediction equations are inexpensive and represent a more accessible method to estimate body composition. The proposed equations are useful for evaluating FM in Mexican infants.

BackgroundBalloon guide catheter (BGC) in stent retriever based thrombectomy (BGC+SR) for patients with large vessel occlusion strokes (LVOS) improves outcomes. It is conceivable that the addition of a large bore distal access catheter (DAC) to BGC+SR leads to higher efficacy. We aimed to investigate whether the combined BGC+DAC+SR approach improves angiographic and clinical outcomes compared with BGC+SR alone for thrombectomy in anterior circulation LVOS.MethodsConsecutive patients with anterior circulation LVOS from June 2019 to November 2020 were recruited from the ROSSETTI registry. Demographic, clinical, angiographic, and outcome data were compared between patients treated with BGC+SR alone versus BGC+DAC+SR. The primary outcome was first pass effect (FPE) rate, defined as near complete/complete revascularization (modified Thrombolysis in Cerebral Infarction (mTICI) 2c–3) after single device pass.ResultsWe included 401 patients (BGC+SR alone, 273 (66.6%) patients). Patients treated with BGC+SR alone were older (median age 79 (IQR 68–85) vs 73.5 (65–82) years; p=0.033) and had shorter procedural times (puncture to revascularization 24 (14–46) vs 37 (24.5–63.5) min, p<0.001) than the BGC+DAC+SR group. Both approaches had a similar FPE rate (52% in BGC+SR alone vs 46.9% in BGC+DAC+SR, p=0.337). Although the BGC+SR alone group showed higher rates for final successful reperfusion (mTICI ≥2b (86.8% vs 74.2%, p=0.002) and excellent reperfusion, mTICI ≥2 c (76.2% vs 55.5%, p<0.001)), there were no significant differences in 24 hour National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale score or rates of good functional outcome (modified Rankin Scale score of 0–2) at 3 months across these techniques.ConclusionsOur data showed that addition of distal intracranial aspiration catheters to BGC+SR based thrombectomy in patients with acute anterior circulation LVO did not provide higher rates of FPE or improved clinical outcomes.

ObjectiveTo evaluate differences in sociodemographic factors and patient-reported outcomes (PROs) between unemployed and employed patients with axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA), and to explore work-related issues (WRIs).MethodsData from an online survey of 680 unselected patients of the Atlas of Axial Spondyloarthritis in Spain 2017 were analyzed. Active workforce participants were divided into employed and unemployed groups according to International Labour Organization definitions. Sociodemographic characteristics, PROs (Bath Ankylosing Spondylitis Disease Activity Index [0–10], Spinal Stiffness Index [3–12], Functional Limitation Index [0–54], and psychological distress through the 12-item General Health Questionnaire [0–12]) were assessed. Logistic regression analysis was used to evaluate the association with unemployment status.ResultsFour hundred fifteen (63.6%) patients with axSpA were categorized in the active population, of which 325 (78.3%) were employed and 90 (21.7%) unemployed. Of the unemployed patients, 62.8% (n = 54) declared that their joblessness was due to axSpA. Of the employed patients, 170 (54.3%) reported WRIs in the year prior to the survey, the most frequent being difficulty fulfilling working hours (44.1%), missing work for doctor appointments (42.9%), and taking sick leave (37.1%). Being unemployed was associated with lower educational level (OR = 2.92), disease activity (OR = 1.37), spinal stiffness (OR = 1.21), functional limitation (OR = 1.05), worse mental health (OR = 1.15), anxiety (OR = 2.02), and depression (OR = 2.69) in the univariable models; and with lower educational level (OR = 2.76) and worse mental health (OR = 1.15) in the multivariable analysis.ConclusionResults show significant differences between employed and unemployed patients with axSpA. Employed patients with axSpA endure many problems at work related to their condition, whereas unemployed patients present worse disease outcomes associated with greater psychological distress.

Las últimas dos décadas han sido testigo del auge de la literatura del compromiso y de la novela gráfica en España. La intersección entre ambas evidencia un deseo por transformar la obra literaria en un artefacto cultural de valor estético que, además, encierre un ejercicio de responsabilidad social con una finalidad pedagógica transformadora. Este ensayo explora estos fines pedagógicos mediante el estudio del proceso de construcción simbólica del espectro y la memoria en Aquí vivió. Historia de un desahucio(2016) de Isaac Rosa y Cristina Bueno. El análisis del espectro en la novela revela la suspensión del ‘efecto visor’ de Derrida, algo que posibilita la materialidad espectral favoreciendo el encuentro con la alteridad-el Otro y la resignificación de la relación asimétrica sujeto político-Ley. Se concluye que la suspensión del efecto visor permite a la protagonista ir más allá en la capacidad de hacer justicia del individuo convirtiendo Aquí vivióen una herramienta ideológica exhortativa.

ABSTRACTIn this age of racial inequality, dehumanization, social unrest, and calls for social justice, society needs an educational space in schools that emphasizes awareness of self and diverse others and acceptance practices. Expanding the higher education PETE curriculum to include movements and activities that place students as subjects of their own first-person subjective experiences will lead to the cultivation of mindfulness, motivation, and meaning within social, historical, and cultural contexts, and promote positive connections with self and others. The authors introduce a Thirdspacewith practical strategies related to PETE programmatic reform that draws upon Eastern and Western movement forms that can lead to self-awareness, humanization, inner peace, and respect for others.

We aimed to assess the feasibility of using supraglottic devices as an alternative to orotracheal intubation for airway management during anesthesia for endovascular treatment of unruptured intracranial aneurisms in our department over a nine-year period.

Purpose: We describe the efficacy of lateral transorbital canthopexy using a silicone tube in managing severe paralytic ectropion.Methods: Patients with paralytic ectropion involving at least two-third of lower eyelid length and scleral exposure of 3 mm or more were considered. A silicone prosthetic was inserted during canthopexy.Results: Lateral transorbital canthopexy using a silicone tube was performed on 10 eyelids in nine patients. All patients had corneal surface abnormalities. Scleral exposure resolved completely in three cases. At 8-month follow-up, residual scleral exposure of 1 mm and 2 mm persisted in n= 6 and n= 1 cases, respectively.Conclusions: Lateral transorbital canthopexy using a silicone tube is an effective therapeutic option for paralytic ectropion, facilitating both functional and cosmetic results that proved durable over time.

The first literary manifestations to emerge in the context of the Spanish Civil War endeavored to create a legitimizing discourse for each of two contending Spains, the National Spain and the Republican Spain, by means of poetic appropriation of urban spaces. Nevertheless, this was not a Spain divided only in two, between leftists and rightists or Socialists and Cedistas, but rather a territory comprised of many parallel wars sparked prior to 1936. According to historian Enrique Moradiellos, the nuclei of three disparate and opposing political agendas arose from the physical foundation of these two Spains, ‘the reformist-democratic, the reactionary-authoritarian and the revolutionary-collectivist [agendas] that responded to the same triad of models that emerged in Europe in the wake of the devastating impact of the Great War of 1914 and that competed to achieve political and institutional stabilization’ (2004: 125). This ‘reform, reaction and revolution’ triangle that acted as the protagonist of the Great War would also settle into the fratricidal spaces of Spain and its cultural products. In this context, my essay will analyse the mechanisms of appropriation of Madrid’s spaces employed by each of these three political agendas as they are presented in Madrid, de Corte a Checa (1938) by Agustín de Foxá. Following the map of the capital we will see how both, the agenda of a modern anti-traditional space driven by the Second Republic and the anti-bourgeois revolutionary agenda that stood for the destruction of the status quo and the implementation of a Communist Orthodox regime, present a threat to the conservative ideal that represented the monarcho-Catholic centralism of the third agenda. This threat is manifested in the dismantling of Madrid through the ‘de-Hispanicization’ (Foxá) of the mythical spaces of the sacred (churches and convents), historic (statues and palaces) and domestic (house interiors) cityscapes.

The purpose of this research is to disclose the need of the developing countries of economic, technological and training resources to be able to show progress in the mitigation and adaptation of the states: the case of Mexico and its agricultural sector. Using a qualitative research design under Pattacini and Weisstaub (2009) regarding international cooperation as a key element for the country's modernisation, also with the support of the ideology of Keohane and Nye regarding complex interdependence. It is observed that despite Mexico implementing a normative and institutional platform, there are still some isolated sectors such as the agricultural, which requires the application of new production processes through new technologies, innovation, and training.

The mitotic count (MC), number of mitosis per unit area, is a very important parameter frequently used for classification and grading of some tumors. Traditionally, the MC has been expressed in terms of number of mitoses per high power field. The size of the field of view can vary greatly among different microscopes. In order to avoid under or overestimation of mitotic count, a conversion needs to be made.

Flexibilization of production systems and processes increases the functional complexity of the control systems for means of production in the factory. However, perceived complexity should be reduced. Highly perceived complexity requires specific training for workers and increases the number of potential errors and accidents. This paper compares three visual control system approaches to reduce the negative impacts of this complexity: classic, cognitive intuitive and cognitive reflective associative. Furthermore, the feasibility of implementing associative concepts to adapt control systems to the user’s cognitive background has been analyzed and the technical requirements for its implementation are described.
