Field trial comprising of two integrated disease management module (based on bio-intensive input and Chemical fungicide) was conducted for disease management in mustard at regional research station, Bawal (Rewari) of CCSHAU, Hisar, Haryana during 2017 to 2019. The results showed that soil application (2.5 kg /ha) and seed treatment (10 g /kg) with Trichoderma viride(NCIPM / T-9 strain) followed by two foliage spray of freshly made garlic clove extract @2% (w/v) was better than seed treatment with carbendazim 50WP (1 g a.i. /kg) followed by its two foliar spray @ 0.5 g a.i. / l of water in significantly reducing the diseases and increasing the seed yield. Minimum white rust (32.2%) and Alternarialeaf spot (28.3%) disease severity, Sclerotiniastem rot (4.6%) incidence and maximum seed yield of 2433 kg / ha was observed in bio-intensive IDM module in comparison to corresponding values of 38.1%, 34.2%, 7.6% and 2202 kg /ha in chemical fungicide.

Maydis leaf blight (MLB) incited by ascomycetes fungus Bipolaris maydisis a serious foliar disease of maize under warm and humid conditions. The fungus has a wide host range and may cause significant yield losses by producing symptoms that appear as young, small and diamond-shaped lesions under favourable conditions. MLB can be managed by various means, but host resistance is most effective, environment friendly and practical approach to manage this disease. In order to find out new sources of genetic resistance, the present investigations were carried out at CCS HAU, Regional Research Station, Karnal, Haryana, India, to evaluate 104 inbreds and 35 hybrids during kharif2019 and 2020 under artificial epiphytotic conditions. Data on disease severity were recorded using 1–9 disease rating scale, and screened genotypes were grouped into four categories, viz.,resistant, moderately resistant, moderately susceptible and susceptible based on disease reaction. A significant difference was observed in disease severity of the genotypes screened where 13 inbred lines, viz., HKI 193–2, HKI-323, HKI-295, HKI-488 T, HKI-1128, MBR-139, HKI-161, HKI-193–1, HKI-193–2, HKI-488-1RG, HKI-1025, HKI-1128, HKI-1344, were found resistant, 32 inbred lines exhibited moderately resistant reaction, 46 were found moderately susceptible, while 13 inbreds exhibited susceptible reaction against MLB. Amongst 35 hybrids screened eight hybrids, viz.,HQPM-1, HQPM-4, HKI1651 × HKI193-2, HKI 193–2 × L-287, HKI-1105 × IMR 307, HKI-295 × L-287, HKI 488 T × L-287, HKI 659–3 × L-287, were found to be resistant, 23 were observed moderately resistant, 3 were observed moderately susceptible, and one hybrid exhibited susceptible reaction against the disease. Two inbreds, viz., HKI-1128 and HKI-193–2, and one hybrid HQPM-1 were found resistant during both years of screening. The resistant genotypes may be further utilized in order to determine the nature of resistance or in breeding programmes to develop promising MLB-resistant hybrids.

In contemporary technology, cloud computing is applicable in many fields like biomedical systems, transactions, data mining, etc. In that, cloud computing job scheduling is a problematic task. Consequently, different operating systems and virtual machines have validated the user’s requirements and necessitated effective scheduling techniques in the cloud environment. Moreover, resource allocation and job scheduling are significant features in cloud computing. Nevertheless, the main drawback of the cloud computing model is the higher computation time that causes the deadline of all work. Previously, several approaches were proposed to diminish the computation time, but those techniques only apply to a few tasks. Therefore the novel Whale-based Convolution Neural Framework (WbCNF) strategy can effectively improve the task allocation system and reduce the job execution time. Moreover, the developed approach is implemented in the Python framework, and results show that the computation time has reduced the quantity of the tasks taken for the experimentation. Consequently, to verify the proposed technique’s efficiency, the proposed method is compared with conventional techniques in terms of performance metrices; the outcomes prove the enhancement of the cloud computing system.

Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) have become an integral part of healthcare monitoring applications and also using in a wide range of domains such as environmental monitoring, healthcare, asset monitoring modern warfare scenarios, industrial and production monitoring. A number of solutions have been proposed so far which provides assimilation of data on an hourly basis and the capability of sensors are approximated to almost ideal situation. With the exploration and advancement in the field of internet of things (IoT), the focal point has shifted towards the interoperability of WSNs and a cloud-based central data repository which collaborates and comprehends a uniquely identifiable internet like structure. This bottom up internet-like structure has paved the way for a sensor integrated cloud-based architecture REALSENSE. This paper provides a detailed run down on the REALSENSE architecture which integrates WSN with Internet of Things in a robust efficient approach. Using the REALSENSE architecture, a set of real-time applications can be deployed, some of them are illustrated in this paper.

This systematic review and meta-analysis investigated the association of dexamethasone administration and pain following CD compared with a control group.

A software framework is a reusable design that requires various software components to function almost out of the box. To specify a framework, the creator must specify the different components that form the framework and how to instantiate them. Also, the communication interfaces between these various components must be defined. In this article, the authors propose such a framework based on the internet of things (IoT) for developing applications for handling emergencies of some kind. This article demonstrates the usage of the framework by explaining various applications such as tracking the status of autistic students, analytics on medical records to detect and mitigate chronic heart diseases in the Indian demographic, prediction of Parkinson's disease, determining the type of disease that corresponds to the dermatology field, and health monitoring and management using internet of things (IoT) sensing.

PurposeSeverely subluxated crystalline lenses pose a difficult situation to anterior segment surgeons and can only be managed surgically by removal of the lens as well as the capsular bag. Several techniques have been described in literature for the management of such cases. We describe a modified technique of endocapsular lens aspiration by the limbal route for lens extraction through small incisions on the cornea.Patients and methodsThirty-two eyes of 16 consecutive patients with severely subluxated crystalline lenses were recruited in the study. All eyes underwent a modified technique of lens aspiration within the capsular bag using a single instrument, vitrectomy cutter, and irrigation cannula, followed by sacrificing of the capsular bag. The patients were either left aphakic or implanted with an open loop anterior chamber intraocular lens (ACIOL Kelman Multiflex) and prospectively followed up for a period of 3 months.ResultsThe mean age of the patients was 9 years 3 months±3 years (range 5–15 yrs). All eyes underwent complete lens aspiration within the capsular bag with no dislocation of the lens matter. ACIOL was inserted in 22 eyes (68.7%) and 10 eyes (31.2%) were left aphakic. All the surgeries were uneventful. The mean best corrected visual acuity (BCVA) at 3 months post surgery was 0.47±0.11 logMAR which was significantly better than pre-operative BCVA (P=0.001). The percentage endothelial cell loss at 3 months was 7.1%. There was no evidence of glaucoma, corneal decompensation, or retinal detachment. The astigmatism which increased from 1.45D±086 preoperatively to 3.76D±2.02 1 week post-operatively due to sutures reduced to 1.97D±0.81 post suture removal at 3 months.ConclusionThe modified technique of endocapsular lens aspiration proves to be a simple and effective method of removal of the lens-capsular bag complex in severely subluxated lenses.

This paper includes the computational analysis of the deep grinding process for various parameters. The fluid–solid interaction modeling has been done using ANSYS software. Firstly, CFD analysis was done to analyze the maximum grinding temperature. Then, this CFD model was coupled with a structural model to evaluate the grinding zone’s maximum equivalent stresses, shear stress, and thermal strain. Such simulation work for any manufacturing process reduces the number of experiments performed, saving the cost and time for any manufacturing process. The model used in this study was validated with previous results for maximum change in temperature, and a 1% deviation was recorded in both results. The maximum temperature in the grinding zone increases with an increase in depth of cut, and maximum temperatures of 370 and 619 K were found for water and kerosene at a depth of cut 1.1 and wheel velocity of 60 m/s, respectively. The stresses and thermal strain increase with increased depth of cut while decreasing with an increase in wheel velocity. A lower value of equivalent stress, shear stress, and thermal strain was observed in the case of water as a coolant than the kerosene oil. The maximum equivalent stress, shear stress, and thermal strain 456 MPa, 207 MPa, and 0.00783 are observed at 1.1-mm depth of cut for kerosene oil at 60 m/s wheel velocity, respectively. The stresses and thermal strain increase with maximum grinding temperature.

In the present day in the global context, approximately 2 billion internal combustion engines (ICEs) are estimated to be in use. Nearly 7.3 billion metric tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) were released into the atmosphere as per the survey on the transportation sector in 2020, making up 41% of all emissions. To solve pollution challenges related to ICEs, recent advancements of alternatives to ICEs have pushed the globe to establish clean energy sources such as hydrogen fuel cells. The conversion of an ICE vehicle to a fuel cell vehicle is able to add further support to its development besides the 30% emission reduction since the old ICE vehicle would not be discarded. FCEVs are seen as a true replacement between BEVs and ICEs since more energy can be stored in less space as compared to BEVs. The objective of this paper is to analyse the energy consumption of a fuel cell-driven motor in the internal combustion engine vehicle chassis of Maruti 800, through mathematical modelling, then compare the specifications with that of an ICE-driven system. The analysis provides details on the optimization of drive system components to maximise the fuel cell energy consumption efficiency based on fuel cell power source requirements for a range of velocities and road gradients. The modifiable specifications of drive system components in the mathematical model ensure reproducibility for any drive cycles and system scenarios.

Camelpox virus (CMLV), a close variant of variola virus (VARV) infects camels worldwide. The zoonotic infections reported from India signify the need to study the host-range genes—responsible for host tropism. We report sequence and phylogenetic analysis of five host-range genes: cytokine response modifier B (crmB), chemokine binding protein (ckbp), viral schlafen-like (v-slfn), myxomavirus T4-like (M-T4-like) and b5r of CMLVs isolated from outbreaks in India. Comparative analysis revealed that these genes are conserved among CMLVs and shared 94.5–100 % identity at both nucleotide (nt) and amino acid (aa) levels. All genes showed identity (59.3–98.4 %) with cowpox virus (CPXV) while three genes—crmB, ckbp and b5r showed similarity (92–96.5 %) with VARVs at both nt and aa levels. Interestingly, three consecutive serine residue insertions were observed in CKBP protein of CMLV-Delhi09 isolate which was similar to CPXV-BR and VACVs, besides five point mutations (K53Q, N67I, F84S, A127T and E182G) were also similar to zoonotic OPXVs. Further, few inconsistent point mutation(s) were also observed in other gene(s) among Indian CMLVs. These indicate that different strains of CMLVs are circulating in India and these mutations could play an important role in adaptation of CMLVs in humans. The phylogeny revealed clustering of all CMLVs together except CMLV-Delhi09 which grouped separately due to the presence of specific point mutations. However, the topology of the concatenated phylogeny showed close evolutionary relationship of CMLV with VARV and TATV followed by CPXV-RatGer09/1 from Germany. The availability of this genetic information will be useful in unveiling new strategies to control emerging zoonotic poxvirus infections.

Rabies is an acute viral infection that causes encephalomyelitis in almost all warm blooded animals and is invariably fatal once the clinical signs appear. The present study was carried out to assess the effect of recombinant human interferon alpha (rhIFN α-2A) treatment on the survival of rabies infected mice and its correlation with cytokines expression. The gene expression of TNF-α and IL-6 was measured by SYBR Green Real Time PCR for two groups—“Pre-exposure” (mice were inoculated with rhIFN α-2A prior to rabies infection) and “Post-exposure” (mice were inoculated with rhIFN α-2A post rabies virus infection). Delayed mortality was observed in interferon treated infected groups. In addition, statistically significant decrease (P < 0.0001) in the expression of TNF-α and IL-6 was observed, both in the pre-exposure and post-exposure groups. These findings indicate that modulation of cytokine secretion using exogenous biologicals such as rhIFN may offer novel therapeutic approaches to treat diseases such as rabies.

The nonlinear interaction of 3‐D kinetic Alfvén wave and fast magnetosonic wave for the intermediate‐βplasma in magnetopause has been considered in the present study. A set of dimensionless equations has been derived taking ponderomotive nonlinearity into account due to kinetic Alfvén wave in the fast magnetosonic wave dynamics. In order to analyze the nonlinear coupling of fast magnetosonic wave and kinetic Alfvén wave and also to study its effect on the turbulent power spectrum, we have numerically solved these coupled equations using pseudo‐spectral method of simulation. The results show the appearance of localized structures of kinetic Alfvén wave, which may be accountable for the heating and acceleration of plasma. The obtained results are consistent with the recent observations by Time History of Events and Macroscale Interactions during Substorms spacecraft in magnetopause. AbstractEco-friendly antimicrobial finish has been imparted to the wool fabric using methanolic neemextract by exhaust and pad dry cure method in order to reduce the bacterial growth on fabric. Finish was applied in two concentrations (3 and 5gpl) on grey as well as enzymatically scoured wool fabric and compared. The antimicrobial activity of the finish was accessed by quantitatively by AATCC-100 test method in terms of bacterial reduction. Effectiveness of finish was also accessed after predetermined number of washing cycles. It was observed that neemhas been found effective against bacterial growth on wool fabric even after 20 washing cycles (79.28%). Neemtreated scoured wool fabric shows very good antibacterial activity than neemtreated grey wool fabric. Since the active neemingredient extracted from neemleaves can serve as appropriate alternative for ecofriendly antimicrobial finish to conventional harmful chemicals in present use.

The article presents research that examined how the leaves of the Indian neem tree can be used as an eco-friendly antimicrobial finish for cotton textile applications. The process involved applying methanolic neem leaf extract as an antimicrobial finish on 100% cotton fabric using the exhaust method and pad dry cure method. It was found that neem is effective against bacterial growth on cotton fabric and that the treated fabric remains durable even after 15 washing cycles.

This article reports an experimental investigation of non-reacting flow in a low aspect ratio dump combustor with a tapered exit. The length of this combustor was less than the separated flow reattachment length. The turbulent intensity variation inside the combustor without swirl was found to be axi-symmetric. The turbulent intensity increases in the shear layer between the potential core and the recirculation eddy. The intensity in the core region increases as one moves along the centre-line in the axial direction. The turbulence behaviour significantly changed with the use of a swirler at the inlet of the combustor. The average turbulent intensity increased inside the combustor and the differences in the magnitude of the intensity along the axial and radial directions were less compared to the non-swirling flow. For a high swirl number ((SN) = 1.48), the intensity in the core region was higher compared to other regions inside the combustor. The intensity variation inside the combustor was more uniform than in the case of the low swirl number flow. The r.m.s. velocity studies also suggest more turbulence generation due to swirl. The presence of the swirler increased the turbulence kinetic energy and dissipation rate in the central vortex core region. The power spectral density distribution shows the alteration of the frequency content of the power spectrum, which can be attributed to the forced recirculation due to swirl. The effect of a high swirl number and Reon the frequency peak shows similar behaviour. Therefore, turbulence inside the combustor increased due to the swirler; hence, better mixing of the fuel and air and efficient and stable combustion is expected to be achieved.

ABSTRACTBackground:The aim of this prospective, double blind, randomised trial was to compare the analgesic and adverse effects of three concentrations of the thoracic epidural sufentanil with bupivacaine in patients undergoing thoracotomy.Methods:We studied 60 (randomised) patients who were to receive a 10 ml bolus dose of sufentanil, 1μg/ml, 2 μg/ml and 3 μg/ml, in bupivacaine 0.125%, via thoracic epidural. Postoperatively, pain at rest, on coughing and with ambulation was assessed using a visual analogue scale (VAS) and observer verbal ranking score (OVRS) at 2, 6, 12 and 24 hours. Adverse effects were simultaneously assessed.Results:There was no significant difference in the baseline characteristics between the three groups. The number of patients with episodes of unsatisfactory pain, i.e. a VAS scores ≥ 40 and OVRS ≥ 2, at each of the four assessments postoperatively, was significantly higher with sufentanil 1 g/ml than with sufentanil 2 μg/ml or μ3 g/ml (p < 0.05). In the 3 μg/ml sufentanil group, four patients (20%) had a sedation score ≥ 3 compared with one (5%) and no (0%) patients in the 2 μg/ml and 1 μg/ml sufentanil groups, respectively (p < 0.05). In addition, 30% patients experienced pruritus in the 3 μg/ml sufentanil group compared with 10% and 5%, respectively, in the 2 μg/ml and 1 μg/ml sufentanil groups. In the sufentanil 3 μg/ml, 2 μg/ml and 1 μg/ml groups, 30%, 20% and 5% patients, respectively, had emetics symptoms (p < 0.05).Conclusions:We conclude that a thoracic epidural bolus of 10 ml sufentanil 2 μg/ml with bupivacaine 0.125% provides the optimal balance between pain relief and side-effects following thoracotomy.

Abstract: Embryos excised from seeds of six generations (P1, P2, F1, BC1, BC2 and F2) of a cross WH 283 x WH 533 were cultured on modified MS medium already inoculated with secondary sporidia ofNeovossia indica. Significant variations for callusing response (CR) (54.55–75.55%) were observed among generations but the presence or absence ofN. indicia did not affect callusing response. A clear inhibition zone (IZ) was formed around each embryo showing callusing. The diameter of IZ varied significantly among generations and was maximum in the resistant genotype, WH 283 (3.60 cm). Fresh weight and dry weight of calli, initiated from embryo cultured and inoculated withN. indica, varied significantly among generations. Coefficient of infection as well as percentage of infection reflected the overdominance of susceptibility. Generation mean analysis showed that the three parameter model was adequate for diameter of IZ only. Six-parameter model showed that additive (in presence ofN. indica), additive and additive x dominance (in absence ofN. indica) effects were also significant. Complementary type of epistasis for fresh weight of calli and dominance, and dominance x dominance effects for dry weight of calli were observed in the presence ofN. indica. Magnitude of additive effects was higher for diameter of IZ in three parameter model. Therefore, selection might assist in improving this trait and thus indirectly help in attaining the resistance towardsN. indica.

Under optimal conditions, Torulopsis colliculosa NRRL 172 and Enterobacter B-87 (ATCC 27613) produced 50 to 500 mg of acetoin per g of substrate. Whereas cane molasses, gur, glucose, and sucrose were suitable substrates for acetoin production, lactose and mannitol supported very good growth but yielded little or no acetoin. Production of acetoin increased with increases in the concentration of glucose, yeast extract, and peptone. Combination of substrates and intermittent feeding of substrate failed to increase the yields.

Agrobacterium tumefaciens strains containing tumour-inducing (Ti) plasmids1–3incite cancerous growths called crown galls when inoculated into wounded dicotyledonous plants. Tumour tissue can be cultured axenically in vitro, and exhibits a transformed phenotype in the absence of the inciting bacterium. Transformed cells grow autonomously, are auxin and cytokinin autotrophic in vitro4and synthesize opines5–8, novel amino acid derivatives dictated by Ti plasmid genetic information9–11. A small segment of the Ti plasmid, termed T-DNA is maintained in axenic tumour cells12–19. Mitochondrial and chloroplast DNA from a crown gall teratoma are free from T-DNA, whereas nuclear DNA contains T-DNA in amounts similar to that in total tumour cell DNA20,21. T-DNA appears to be attached to what is presumably plant DNA in the crown gall tumour cell: Southern blot analysis22of tumour DNA digested with restriction endonucleases reveals T-DNA fragments that are not fully homologous to Ti plasmid DNA14,17,21. We report here the isolation by molecular cloning of a ‘border fragment’ T-DNA and flanking plant DNA from the crown gall teratoma BT37 and show that T-DNA is covalently joined to a repeated DNA element of the tobacco nuclear genome.

The data from a high counting rate neutron monitor has been analysed to study the nature of galactic cosmic-ray transient modulation associated with three classes of magnetic clouds, i.e., clouds associated with shock, stream interface and cold magnetic enhancement.

In 1986, 25 patients with stage II and III carcinoma of the cervix were treated by a combination of radiation and local hyperthermia using an endotract intravaginal applicator. Another 25 patients were treated with radiation alone. Both groups were followed up for a minimum period of 18 months. The acute and long-term toxicity of local hyperthermia was closely monitored. Our study shows that whereas local hyperthermia adds significantly to the local control achieved with radiation alone, it is not in any way associated with any significant short-or long-term toxicity, and does not enhance the radiation reactions.

Experimental data showing enhanced recovery of nicotine from a tobacco waste stream using sulfuric acid and suitably prepared microemulsion media are reported. The results are analyzed and indicate considerable enhancement in the reaction rate. The interfacial rate constant has also been evaluated by using an appropriate model for the system.

90 patients who had either unilateral or bilateral tinnitus were treated with Transcutaneous Electrotherapy during the period between July, 1982 to September, 1983. This therapy was found to be successful in 46 cases (57.5%) and the improvement was noted primarily within the first four sessions of stimulation. Conductive Deafness and Preasbyacusis was noted in 22.5% and 55% respectively. The patients who had conductive loss responded better as compared to patients with sensori-neural loss. Transcutaneous stimulation was found to be a useful palliative therapeutic device for tinnitus.

Maximum lipid production (66% w/w dry wt) inRhodotorula glutinis IIP-30 utilizing glucose in a fed-batch fermentation under N-limiting conditions at 30°C, was at pH 4. At pH 3, 5 and 6, the lipid contents were 12%, 48% and 44%, respectively. There was only a small change in the fatty acid profile over the pH range examined, although the ergosterol content decreased by a third as the pH increased.

This Letter tackles the issue of non-contact detection of ultrasonic fields by utilizing a novel optical method based on the parametric indirect microscopic imaging (PIMI) technique. A general theoretical model describing the three-dimensional anisotropic photoelastic effect in solid was developed. The mechanism of polarization status variations of light passing through the stress and strain fields was analyzed. Non-contact measurements of the ultrasonic field propagating in an isotropic quartz glass have been fulfilled by the PIMI technique under different ultrasonic excitation conditions. PIMI parameters such as sin?δ, Φ, and the Stokes parameters have been found to be sensitive to ultrasonic fields.

Fire is an important natural element. Fire has numerous constructive uses in both household and industries. The safety of human beings has become an issue of concern with rapid industrialization. To achieve the objective of the study, 100% white mercerized cotton fabric, Zirconium dioxide as flame retardant (FR) chemical (12% and 15%) and two binders .lamely SLN and PYA (5% each) and (2.5% each) were selected on review basis and used separately and in combination. Recipe was made on the weight of the fabric for making suspension of FR finish. To apply flame retardant fmish, pad-dry-cure method on padding mangle was used with 1 dip 1 nip, 2 dip 1 nip and 3 dip 1 nip systems. After application of FR finish, launderings was done 5, 10 and 15 times. Burning and flammability characteristics were assessed of treated and washed fabrics. Results interpret that after launderings, 5 per cent PYA binder gave best results with 15 per cent concentration of finish as compared to SLN binder. Flame resistance property of a material of exhibiting reduced flammability, it will not continue to burn or support a flame, but once ignited, it may continue to glow after source of ignition is removed. Flame retardant fabrics can be produced in two ways: 1. By making them of fibers which do not burn. 2. By chemically treating the fibers to produce the desired effect. Even after many decades of research and studies, the production of flame retardant textile is still a challenging subject. Every year thousands of people die of burns in India. India has had several tragedies due to fire in public places. Flame retardants reduce the likelihood of a fire starting by improving the resistance to ignition of potential fire sources. There is no doubt that they play an important role on textiles by providing safety and giving escape time from a potentials hazard. When a fire does start, flame retardants reduce the flame spread and the rate of fire development, providing valuable extra time in the early stages of the conflagration to extinguish the fire or make an escape. In abroad many studies have been done related to this area but not much work has been done in India. The present work on flame retardant finish on cotton is perhaps one of the vel3z few attempts made in this direction. A comparative study of 60 respondents of Hisar city was done to study the job satisfaction of trained and untrained women in garment construction. Out of the above said respondents, 30 had received formal training from the Department of Clothing & Textiles, CCS HAU, Hisar and 30 had got the informal training from their mother, sister, neighbour etc. The results showed that there was significant difference between the knowledge level of trained and untrained respondents as tcal was greater than ttab, regarding supplies and equipments used in garment construction, constructional features and adaptation of basic block to blouse, ladies shirt, frock, tops and skirts because of critical knowledge gained during training. Majority of the trained respondents had high attitude for the adopted activity, got high quantum of work, and there self-stitched garments were found excellent during assessment by experts. Fifty woman respondents from Hisar city of Haryana state were selected to study the fashion trend of embroidery on feminine garments like saree, kameez, gown, nighty and lengha (based on the preferencial choice of the respondents) for further improvement of styles and techniques. Stylised mode of design, modern appearance, flat texture, hand embroidery, floral motifs were the prevalent trend of embroidery. AbstractTransverse myelitis is an acute or subacute inflammatory disorder involving the spinal cord. Clinical signs are due to the involvement of the ascending and descending tracts in the transverse plane of the spinal cord. The most common cause is autoimmune. These patients may present with various clinical findings with which it is important for the anaesthesiologist to be familiar in order to manage such cases during the intraoperative and postoperative period. This report discusses issues relating to management of such cases.

The article focuses on a study which described the bulking characteristics of jute-acrylic blends. In the study, jute-acrylics blended fibers were spun to yarns on open-end and ring mechanisms. Results of the tests conducted showed a trend of increasing strength of yarns wen acrylic fiber is combined with jute. The twist level also helped improve the strength properties of blended yarns.

Density cavities having transverse‐scale size of the order of electron inertial length have been observed in auroral ionosphere by Freja spacecraft. In the present study, density cavity formation in auroral regions has been investigated using numerical simulation techniques. Nonlinear interaction of inertial Alfvén waves and ion acoustic waves has been suggested as a possible mechanism to apprehend density cavity formation in auroral regions. In the proposed mechanism, strong modification in the density profile takes place due to the ponderomotive force of inertial Alfvén waves and accounts for these density depleted regions. In literature also, it has been demonstrated that these cavities are associated with the ponderomotive forces of inertial Alfvén wave. Our presented model also attempts to understand the salient features of auroral density cavities which are reported in literature from the analysis of data available from FAST spacecraft. Maximum accumulation of ergosterol by Rhodotorula glutinis IIP-30 [4% (w/w) of the biomass] was at pH 4 and 28 to 30°C, wich glucose or sucrose as carbon source and (NH4)2SO4 as N-source. Molasses only gave 1% (w/w) ergosterol content, as did KNO3 or urea when used as sole N source.
