The article presents a study that verified the association of sow body weight development with reproductive performance, piglet production and culling rate in primiparous sows using logistic regression models.

The article discusses a study which evaluated the behavior, pre-weaning survival rate and growth performance of low birth weight piglets cross-fostered with piglets of higher weights. Topics include playful behavior instances observed, implications of the survival rate on the practice of cross-fostering, and how the observations on the piglets were observed.
