1. Epidemic investigation of duck circovirus in spontaneous diseased duck flocks in China.

Abstract

The article reports on the investigation of the duck circovirus (DuCV) epidemic in provinces of China. DNA was extracted from the tissue samples of diseased ducks to detect DuCV by hybridization and polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Results shows that there is a wide-ranging DuCV infection in duck flocks in China.

2. Isolation, identification and development of duplex PCR method for detection of Riemerella anatipestifer from Guangdong province.

Abstract

The article presents a study which examines the isolation and development of duplex polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method to detect Riemerella anatipestifer (RA) from ducks in Guandgong Province, China. It states isolation of suspected sick ducks with infectious serositis in the province which are also tested using biochemical methods. The study reveals the identification of two fragments that were amplified from detected RA strains.

3. Quantification of Sulphate in Ambient Aerosols by FTIR Spectroscopy

Abstract

Aerosols are important species in the Earths atmosphere and influence both air quality and climate in many important. In this article the relationship between IR absorption bands and SO42- was discussed. Theν3 band of SO42- in FTIR Spectra was studied when used as Na2SO4 . The results indicated that the peak positions of SO42- were 984 cm-1 and 1133cm-1. And the relation between these peaks aera and the quality of SO42- was well linear. And we give the value of α in band of 900-1300 cm-1. we measured all of the samples on the Ge and not a point, so the quantitive was not been affected by the nonuniform sample on Ge.
