According to the article, the seminar focuses on the technology experienced in the case study. It also aims to target the case study and technology of architecture as the sensations elicited in the interrogation between people and the building. Furthermore, the seminar provides possibility to investigate the narrow, specific, and heterogenic case of technology.

It is hard, heavy, unyielding, motionless within its boundaries: yet the individual's experience of stone might be soft, light and obedient. Impressions of volume, surface, pattern, colour, and light reflection enrich the effect of materials. Touch and see the stones - as when you hear the echoing of stone slabs as you walk in a narrow alley; stone might even appear tasty. 'The outside of the facade is covered with 8 mm white asbestos cement which is attached with aluminum screws against strips of bitumen under the joints and against a supporting of boards. The white asbestos cement has in the past year, where it has been exposed to the weather, not changed colour or in any other way changed its surface. The air in Kastrup is very strong, the rain and wind there has a character and strength not found in other building sites. But it is, on the other hand, clean. In the city the material would probably become dirty quickly. The inside of the walls are covered by beech wood parquet boards. The originally intended covering with plywood, which would have given a more tight wall, was dropped for economical reasons. The beech wood parquets, which are painted on the back and lacquered on the front, is still not stable, but is still working so much that some of the joints are rather wide. The roof is isolated with cork and covered with 'Icopal' and a 2 cm thick layer of bitumen. Drains, drip caps, covering of overhangs are made of copper. The floors in all offices are made of bitumen (Dafoleum), which is a cheap and strong floor, but which is rather difficult to maintain from the time it is laid until the last works in the building is finished due to its sensitivity to mortar, paint, petrol and the like. The floor in the Hall is made of rubber tills. To avoid resound, which would make it difficult to converse in different languages, and in order to make the loudspeaker system as efficient as possible the ceiling (the waves) is covered with 'acousti-celotex B'. We see, hear, smell, feel and taste the qualities of the materials which surround us. But emotions and ideas are also part of our reality, whether virtual or tangible. Every specific material is made up of mailer, and matter is also the means by which we express ourselves when we create new objects and a new environment. We describe its properties and allow ourselves to be affected by its qualities. From this defined matter, specific materials with particular characteristics are derived. Concrete is the material of change, of metamorphosis. Like a chameleon it appears in different guises and in different connections. The assessments of this substance have changed over the years. In the early modern period, it has been considered a miracle material which would solve all the problems of the building industry. Later it was seen as representing the inhuman scale of large building projects, sharply criticized by the postmodernists. In many ways concrete is as well a universal material. It can take any form and shape, and it is made up of raw materials which are so commonly found that they can be extracted and produced virtually anywhere. An introduction to the journal is presented in which the editor discusses an article on the avant-garde visions for the building components of Paul Sheerbart and Bruno Taut, architectural ideals for director Hannes Meyer and other emblematic architectural features.

The article provides information on the establishment and developments of the Modern Movement architecture in Denmark. It mentions that modernistic architecture was introduced by Carl Petersen, through his architecture-related lecture and article in the country in 1919 and he suggested to apply flat surface and other modern industrial applications in architectural details. It highlights the Danish architects that have adopted modernistic architecture including Arne Jacobsen, Kay Gattlob, Vilhelm Lauritzen, Philip Johnson, and Henry-Russell Hitchcock.

A preface of the seminar Climate and Building Physics in the Modern Movement organized by DOCOMOMO International Specialist Committee is presented.

The article focuses on the use Zollinger wooden construction system in the late twenties in Denmark and Southern Sweden. It outlines the concept of engineer Eli Unmack regarding new ways to calculate construction lines which are made of wood, and the significance of using prefabricated standardized units which gave Zollinger wooden lamella a leading position. It notes that system was also used in other types of buildings such as hangars, assembly halls and sport arenas.
