Since its release at the end of 2022, the social response to ChatGPT, a large language model (LLM), has been huge, as it has revolutionized the way we communicate with computers. This review was performed to describe the technical background of LLMs and to provide a review of the current literature on LLMs in the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery (OMS). The PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science databases were searched for LLMs and OMS. Adjacent surgical disciplines were included to cover the entire literature, and records from Google Scholar and medRxiv were added. Out of the 57 records identified, 37 were included; 31 (84%) were related to GPT-3.5, four (11%) to GPT-4, and two (5%) to both. Current research on LLMs is mainly limited to research and scientific writing, patient information/communication, and medical education. Classic OMS diseases are underrepresented. The current literature related to LLMs in OMS has a limited evidence level. There is a need to investigate the use of LLMs scientifically and systematically in the core areas of OMS. Although LLMs are likely to add value outside the operating room, the use of LLMs raises ethical and medical regulatory issues that must first be addressed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Zirconia restorations are increasingly popular in dental treatment. Yttria-stabilized zirconia (YSZ) needs to be sintered for clinical applications and novel speed-sintering protocols are being developed for chairside treatments. Whether the properties of speed-sintered YSZ meet clinical requirements, however, remains unclear. Therefore, we conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis on the influence of speed-sintering on the optical and mechanical properties of dental YSZ according to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) 2020 guidelines. A literature search was conducted using PubMed, Embase, and Web of Science databases for relevant articles published between January 1, 2010 and February 28, 2022 in English, Chinese, or Japanese. After full-text evaluation and quality assessment, 26 articles were selected. Meta-analysis revealed that speed-sintering does not significantly affect the CIEDE2000-based translucency parameter, contrast ratio, three-point flexural strength, biaxial flexural strength, or fracture toughness of YSZ (p < 0.01) compared to conventional sintering. However, the CIELab-based translucency parameter of conventionally sintered YSZ is higher than that of speed-sintered YSZ. The descriptive analysis indicated that speed-sintering does not affect the hardness of YSZ compared to that of conventionally sintered YSZ. The results indicate that speed-sintering is suitable for preparing YSZ for dental restorations. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

To evaluate current studies to establish and compare the efficacy of traditional and laser acupuncture in reducing the signs and symptoms of temporomandibular disorders (TMD). PubMed, Cochrane, Scopus, and Web of Science databases were searched. Clinical, controlled, and randomized trials written in English and having used traditional or laser acupuncture as therapy for TMD and RDC/TMD or DC/TMD as a diagnostic criterion for TMD were included. Six studies that evaluated the intensity of pain and the level of mouth opening of the patients submitted to acupuncture were selected, and all showed improvement. However, similar results were also observed in the groups treated with occlusal splint and placebo acupuncture. Only one study evaluated laser acupuncture and showed a higher proportion of patients with remission of symptoms in the experimental group. The traditional acupuncture seems to relieve the signs and symptoms of TMD, as well as laser acupuncture when associated with occlusal splint. However, more rigorous and high-quality clinical trials are needed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

CHATBOTS ,EDUCATIONAL objectives ,EDUCATIONAL technology ,SCIENCE databases ,WEB databases - Abstract
This study aims to analyze how professionals preparing to use technology in education reflect on the phenomenon of chatbots as learning objects. The study is divided into two parts. For the first part of the study, 17 studies indexed in the Web of Science database that focus on using chatbots in education were selected for a systematic review. From this study, six discourses were identified: a Chatbot is not human; a Chatbot is developed iteratively; a Chatbot is a solution to a specific educational problem; a Chatbot is a technological issue; a Chatbot is constituted by narrative and a distinct "psychology"; and a Chatbot is always available with the correct information. In the second part of the study, the responses of 29 respondents (12 teaching librarians and 17 students of the Educational Technology course) to questions about chatbots were processed by qualitative analysis. The analysis used the discourses obtained from the review study and examined their specific perception among this particular group. A key result was that even though the respondents worked with three chatbots without AI, they mentioned similar characteristics in their evaluation that they would apply to a live teacher. Thus, they understand chatbots as part of their learning environment without differentiating between living and nonliving systems. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The present article proposes an analysis of how the European Education Area is approached within existing articles in the Web of Science database. Considering that the education system at the European level and at Romania's national level is continuously reformed, if teachers or researchers want to carry out research or implement projects regarding the state of the educational system, in addition to the official information that can be found, they also need specific information contained in the scientific research within the articles, which contain, in their body, the presentation of the phenomena, the description of the literature specific to the discussed issue, a research methodology and tool, specific results, and conclusions filtered through the experience and training of the authors of the articles. The research methodology consisted of the development of a bibliometric analysis in the field of European education, being carried out based on articles from the Web of Science platform. The query displayed 404 scientific articles containing "European educational space" in the document's title, abstract, or keywords. The results show that most articles address the field of higher education, and most authors are affiliated with higher education structures and even European consortia made by universities at the European level. Information on the chosen topic can also be gathered from within the consortia of the universities where the authors of the article are affiliated. The analysis of the clusters of the 404 analyzed articles with the VosViewer program showed that the articles can be grouped according to five of the six strategies adopted by the European Council for the creation of the European Education Area. In the data journalism field, professionals are one of the key nodes within a complex human and technological network. This study, based on the Actor-Network Theory (ANT), seeks to determine the relationships between the actants involved in a specialized field defined by hybridization and complexity from two dimensions: cognitive and normative. It delves into the education, specialization, teamwork, working conditions and tools that apply to data journalism. The field work was carried out through a survey (n=208) using an open database with a web directory format (n=296). The resulting profile is that of a Journalism graduate who is not specialized in data, with a predilection for analysis and research, accustomed to working in a team, with limited experience, low job stability, and expertise in digital resources for processing and viewing data. The research confirms that data journalism operates at the heart of an overlapping network featuring various types of interconnected professionals as well as social, cultural and technological structures. In this paper, the scientific articles from the Web of Science base were analyzed, which address the investment classification criteria by means of the bibliometric analysis. Querying the Web of Science database and applying filters revealed a sample of 273 articles. The distribution by years, by countries, by authors, by categories, by fields of research, by sustainable development goals of this sample was followed. Also, within the work, a qualitative analysis was carried out, following the words and phrases with the highest density in the studied articles. The investigation method was based on the PRISMA Statements methodology. To determine the correlations regarding the countries of origin of the authors, the Co-authorship filter was used with a minimum number of 10 documents/country and a minimum number of 11 citations/country, so out of 73 countries only 14 met the conditions for analysis. For the word density analysis, the co-occurrence filter was applied, with a minimum occurrence of 5, resulting in 37 words grouped into 5 clusters. To support the conclusions, the following classifications were analyzed: WOS Categories, Research Areas, Sustainable Development Goals, Citation Topics Micro. The results of the research constitute the starting point for future analyzes in the field of investments. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The aim of this systematic review was to determine the most prevalent complications resulting from total temporomandibular joint (TMJ) replacement. An electronic search was performed using the Embase, LILACS, MEDLINE (via PubMed), SciELO, Scopus, and Web of Science databases up to June 2022. Prospective and retrospective clinical studies on patients who underwent TMJ replacement were included. Two reviewers performed the study selection, data extraction, and individual risk of bias assessment using the Joanna Briggs Institute Critical Appraisal Tools. The pooled prevalence of each complication was calculated through a proportion meta-analysis using the random-effects model. Twenty-eight studies met the eligibility criteria and were included in the review. All of the eligible studies had a low risk of bias. The results of the meta-analysis revealed that the most prevalent complication was paresis or paralysis of the facial nerve branches (7.8%; 95% confidence interval (CI) 2.6–15.1%, I
2 = 94.5%), followed by sensory alterations (1.8%; 95% CI 0.6–4.9%, I2 = 88.8%), heterotopic bone formation (1.0%; 95% CI 0.1–2.5%, I2 = 75.8%), and infection (0.7%; 95% CI 0.1–1.6%, I2 = 22.7%). In conclusion, TMJ replacement has a low prevalence of complications, and most of them can be managed successfully. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]- Published

This paper examines the factors accountable for users' tendency to use the free web resources for achieving their academic goals and also the reasons that prevented the users from using the credible sources of the library for their academic needs. Further, this study also attempted to ascertain whether user category has any influence on the factors which boost the use of web for academic purpose. A questionnaire- based survey was conducted for five universities of Chandigarh, Haryana and Punjab including post graduate students, research scholars and faculty members. The findings showed that a majority of respondents from three categories chose the web because of the speedy retrieval of information, ease of access, no need for any advanced search skills to search on internet and further it saved their time when compared with the online e-resources subscribed by the library. Most of them found it difficult to physically visit the library. They were not familiar with which e-resources were available on subscribed databases or on the web. About half of users stated that no updation was made on the library website about newly subscribed e-resources. Discontinued e-resources were not removed from library website when users searched them for information and found nothing. The paper recommends that user education programmes should be conducted and the interface of the library should be made user friendly so as to encourage the users to use authentic information from the e-resources subscribed by the library for academic purpose. In cyberspace, there exists a prevalent problem that heavily occurs to web application databases and that is the exploitation of websites by using SQL injection attacks. This kind of attack becomes more difficult when it comes to blind SQL vulnerabilities. In this paper, we will first make use of this vulnerability, and subsequently, we will build an ontology (OBSQL) to address the detection of the blind SQL weakness. Therefore, to achieve the exploitation, we reproduce the attacks against a website in production mode. We primarily detect the presence of the vulnerability, after we use our tools to abuse it. Last but not least, we prove the importance of applying ontology in cybersecurity for this matter. The mitigation techniques in our ontology will be addressed in our future work. There is controversy about the association between vitamin D and cardiovascular disease (CVD). This article aims to explore the association of serum 25-hydroxyvitaminD (25 OHD) with the risk of CVD. PubMed, EMBASE, Web of Science database, OVID, and Cochrane Library databases (last updated in August 2022) were systematically searched. The relationship between 25OHD and the risk of CVD was assessed by using the 95% confidence intervals (CI) and hazard ratio (HR). The effect model was selected by the size of heterogeneity. The meta-analysis included 40 cohort studies that contained 652352 samples. The pooled results showed that a decreased level of 25OHD was associated with an increased relative risk of total CVD events (HR = 1.35, 95% CI: 1.26–1.43). Furthermore, the results also showed that a decreased circulating 25OHD level was associated with an increased mortality of CVD (HR = 1.43, 95% CI: 1.30–1.57) and incidence of CVD (HR = 1.26, 95% CI: 1.16–1.36), especially an increased risk of heart failure (HF) (HR = 1.38, 95% CI: 1.2–1.6), myocardial infarction (MI) (HR = 1.28, 95% CI: 1.13–1.44) and coronary heart disease (CHD) (HR = 1.28, 95% CI: 1.1–1.49). The current meta-analysis shows that reduced serum 25OHD concentrations is not only associated with increased total cardiovascular events and cardiovascular mortality, but also with increased risk of HF, MI, and CHD. The underlying mechanism still needs to be explored further, and well-designed RCTs are needed to confirm the role of vitamin D in the occurrence and development of CVD. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This has led to exponential growth in the field and has impacted on healthcare, pharmacology and biotechnology. However, with the current methodologies, it is sometimes difficult to obtain conclusive identification of an organism. In addition, the growth of the metagenomic field has led to the creation of large amounts of data held by different hosts, which characterize data differently and make analysis difficult. Therefore, correct data aggregation and classification improve and facilitate the discovery of repositories of interest. This paper tackles these issues by proposing a methodology for organism identification, data aggregation and content characterization, visualization and selection. We propose a three-step pipeline for organism identification that uses compression-based metrics, an aggregation mechanism for content characterization, and a web database catalogue for data exposition and visualization. Digital transformation (DT) has been considered an essential enabler of operational and strategic change for any given organization across various industries. Based on the smart adoption and assimilation of cutting-edge tools and technologies, DT allows firms to develop new capabilities, including creating improved products and services, enhancing experiment and innovation abilities, becoming customers centric, and streamlining end-to-end business processes. No wonder some analysts believe that covid-19 has contributed to fostering DT trends across industries. Yet very few studies exist about the real impact of covid-19 on DT. This study aims at filling this knowledge gap using a bibliometric analysis of 441 documents collected from the Web of Science database. Two bibliometric tools, namely Bibliometrix and VOSViewer, were used for data analysis. It emerged that impact, innovation, and performance are among the top word growth and the most relevant words, while the top three relevant affiliations are based in the USA. Further insights are presented and discussed, followed by a future research agenda. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The purpose of this study is to identify the essentials of corporate MOOCs' application to leading organizations. This basic research was conducted using a qualitative research synthesis technique. The statistical population includes documents retrieved by searching the Persian and Latin web databases (n=165) using a criterion sampling method (2013-2020). A total of 73 sources were selected. Theoretical saturation of themes was reached by the 48th sample. In order to collect data, the library research method was used. The collected data were then analyzed using a thematic analysis technique. Finally, to validate the proposed model, a total of 6 experts in different fields were selected using a purposive sampling method, and they approved the final model after modifications. Based on the research findings, the essentials identified include the main personal, educational, and organizational themes. Clarification of the logic behind and reason for learning is among the essentials in designing and formulating any learning from virtual training (e-learning). This is of paramount importance, especially in learning based on corporate MOOCs as an innovation and transformation toward training and improving human resources. This logic prevents the possible resistance of managers and officials and even the organizations and corporations' staff themselves to learning using corporate MOOCs. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Big data has become omnipresent since most human activities are recorded using various technologies, thus generating huge databases on various platforms such as social media. Human activity has become reflected in these databases, making them suitable for various research that used to be conducted based on more traditional research approaches, such as survey research. Labour markets research is also affected by big data since social media has become one of the most dominant means of communication in various areas, being employed as one of them. This paper aims to map the research field of big data and labor markets using a systematic literature review and bibliography. Web of Science database has been searched using the keywords "big data" and "labo(u)r market". The most relevant papers for the area of big data for labour analysis have been selected, using transparent and consistent criteria. Papers have been analysed using a bibliometric approach supported by the VOSviewer and R bibliometrix, which has been used for detecting various research trends, such as research topics. The assessment of the current research in big data for the labour market has been compiled to detect the research gaps and generate future research directions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

[Display omitted] • Review of the knowledge structure using CiteSpace, VOSviewer, and SciMAT. • Visualizing the evolution of traffic collision reconstruction: the field is developing. • Analyzing co-word, co-citation, and major themes in traffic collision reconstruction. • Authors and institutions need more collaboration. • Head injury and uncertainty are hotspots: interdisciplinary research is the future. Traffic collisions are incidents with high fatality rate which generate billions of US dollars of loss worldwide each year. Post-collision scene reconstruction, which involves knowledge of multiple disciplines, is an important approach to restore the traffic collision and infer the cause of it. This paper uses software CiteSpace, VOSviewer, and SciMAT to conduct a visualization study of knowledge mapping on the literature of traffic collision scene reconstruction from 2001 to 2021 based on the Web of Science database. Knowledge mapping is a cutting-edge research method in scientometric, which has been widely applied in medicine and informatics. Compared with traditional literature review, knowledge mapping with visual techniques identifies hot keywords and key literature in the field more scientifically, and displays them in schematic diagrams intuitively which allows to further predict potential hotspots. A total of 803 original papers are retrieved to analyze and discuss the evolution of the field in the past 20 years, from macro to micro, in term of background information, popular themes, and knowledge structure. Results indicate the number of publications in this field is limited, and collaborations among authors and among institutions are insufficient. In the meantime, mappings imply the top three hot themes being scene reconstruction, computer technology, and injuries. The introduction of AI related technologies, such as neural networks and genetic algorithms, into collision reconstruction would be a potential research direction. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

PERIODONTAL disease ,DISEASE risk factors ,MALAYSIANS ,SCIENCE databases ,WEB databases - Abstract
Aim: Periodontal disease, particularly periodontitis, significantly impacts an individual’s health and quality of life. This widespread condition also contributes substantially to the global socioeconomic burden. Apart from the effect of periopathogens and biofilm byproducts, the onset and progress of the disease are determined by individual susceptibility to the disease, influenced by the environment and the hosts’ modifiable and non-modifiable risk factors. This review paper aims to describe the global scenario of periodontal disease compared to Malaysia and the effect of its risk factors on the population. Materials and Methods: A structured comprehensive search utilising EMBASE, Medline, and Web of Science databases that covered topics pertinent to periodontal disease was done. Keywords/search terms were utilised to identify relevant publications. Citation tracing (papers citing relevant publications) and citation extraction (appropriate citations within papers) were also used. The primary outcome was the effects of periodontal disease risk factors in a Malaysian scenario. Results: Eleven studies that addressed the topic were included. The review analysed the periodontal risk and provided an overview of the Malaysian population compared to the global population. Both modifiable and non-modifiable risk factors, such as smoking and diabetes, that potentiate periodontal disease among the population impact the incidence and prevalence of both gingivitis and periodontitis. Conclusion: The findings from this review revealed that the most vulnerable people affected by periodontal disease in Malaysia are those with low socioeconomic status. There is a dire need for more local studies focused on periodontal disease risk factors, and actions from all authorised levels are needed to tackle this chronic disease on the Malaysian scene. The aim of this systematic review was to evaluate published papers regarding the micronucleus assay in oral mucosal cells of patients undergoing orthodontic therapy (OT). A search of the scientific literature was made in the PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science databases for all data published until November, 2021 using the combination of the following keywords: "fixed orthodontic therapy," "genetic damage", "DNA damage," "genotoxicity", "mutagenicity", "buccal cells", "oral mucosa cells," and "micronucleus assay". The systematic review was designed according to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. Nine studies were retrieved. Some authors demonstrated that OT induces cytogenetic damage in oral mucosal cells. Out of the nine studies included, two were classified as strong, five as moderate, and two as weak, according to the quality assessment components of the Effective Public Health Practice Project (EPHPP). Meta-analysis data revealed no relationship between mutagenicity in oral cells and OT in different months of treatment. At one month, the SMD = 0.65 and p = 0.08; after three months of OT, the SMD = 1.21 and p = 0.07; and after six months of OT, the SMD = 0.56 and p = 0.11. In the analyzed months of OT, I2 values were >75%, indicating high heterogeneity. In summary, this review was not able to demonstrate that OT induces genetic damage in oral cells. The study is important for the protection of patients undergoing fixed OT, given that mutagenesis participates in the multi-step process of carcinogenesis. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Bibliometric analysis is a method for quantifying the article distribution, impact, and performance. The purpose of this study was to identify the most top-cited articles published in Journal of Dental Sciences (JDS) and further analyze their main characteristics. Web of Science, Journal Citation Reports database was searched to retrieve the most-cited articles in JDS published from 2007 to July 31, 2022. Among the included top-cited articles, the following parameters were recorded and analyzed: article title, article type, year, country, number of citations, and average citations pre year. Microsoft Excel was applied for the descriptive bibliometric analysis. 41 top-cited articles were filtered from total 1165 JDS articles in Web of Science database. The results showed that 41 top-cited articles were cited between 20 and 186 times from Journal Citation Reports. Most of the article types are original article (28/41, 68.29%) following by review article (7/41, 17.07%). The majority of articles were originated from Taiwan (23/41, 56.10%). The top 4 most cited articles were relative to the research topic on COVID-19, lateral canal, guided-tissue regeneration barriers, and platelet-rich fibrin, respectively. However, articles analyzed by the average citations per year since publication were focused on COVID-19 followed by artificial intelligence. This bibliometric analysis illustrates the progress and trend of researches in JDS. The results may also offer a reference for recognizing the hot issues with the most citations in JDS. This research paper aims to analyse the visibility, scientific production and educational impact of teaching spoken language between 2010 and 2020 by using bibliometric techniques. The Scopus and Web of Science databases have been used in order to carry out the study. We have selected articles published in journals included in the thematic category of Teaching Oral Communication in the decade 2010-2020. Out of 2677 articles, only 457 offer relevant data for our analysis, and of these, no more than 155 documents are written by Spanish authors. The lack of articles on this topic seems obvious, which consequently leads to the conclusion that there is a high need to conduct rigorous research on the subject and design educational models that allow teachers to implement efficient didactic methods and strategies when teaching oral communication in the current Spanish educational system. AUGMENTED reality ,WEB databases ,SCIENCE databases - Abstract
Augmented Reality (AR) has become one of the important tools in teaching and learning, which is made evident by an increasing number of studies focusing on such technology over the past few years. However, studies focusing on the design of AR applications for young children have been seriously lacking and no framework for designing AR for young children has been proposed before. The importance to have a framework for young children is crucial, as their cognitive, skills and preferences are different from the older user groups, and to ensure the apps meet the pedagogical standards and age appropriate. This paper provides the findings in which the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) method was used to select and critically review articles from Scopus and Web of Science databases. Overall, 16 articles were selected, which revealed five themes: (1) information, (2) interface, (3) interaction, (4) imagination, and (5) immersion. All five themes related to the design aspects need to be carefully addressed and considered in developing AR applications for young children. The findings of this study can be used as a guideline for AR developers to ensure their products can be both efficacious and entertaining, improve children's learning performance, motivation, and interest. The term metaverse appeared for the first time in a novel published in 1992. Since the early 2000s, researchers have started to use this term to refer to digital technologies for learners to interact with other users with avatars. The term came to prominence in around 2020 due to the rebranding of Facebook. However, there was no consensus on what kind of technologies should belong to the metaverse and how to conceptualise the term. As such, this paper presents an exploratory review for conceptualising the metaverse based on 19 articles from the Web of Science database. This review focuses on the metaverse trend, how researchers in the past and present conceptualizing the term, and key technologies identified in the metaverse world. The findings identify the major types of technologies used in the metaverse studies and offers a sound theoretical foundation in terms of cognitive, social and teacher presence to understand what future potential of these technologies could bring to online learning. Five major types of technologies are identified which could map to four key elements of the metaverse (i.e., immersion, advanced computing, socialisation, decentralisation). At the end, a model is proposed to connect the key elements of the metaverse and its three presences in the community of inquiry that enhance students' learning outcomes in the metaverse learning environment. Many empirical applications of structural holes theory rest on the assumption that there is a close relationship between network position, or 'structural diversity,' and access to complementary information, or 'information diversity.' Constraint, and to a lesser extent efficiency, are two measures that are typically used as measures of structural diversity, which is in turn used as a proxy for information diversity. In this article, we question the assumed relationship between structural and information diversity at the core of brokerage theory. We collected metadata for 864,450 journal articles from the Web of Science database, identified 1,192,488 authors, and constructed 13 different measures of information diversity that are based on the text data and co-authorship network structure. We correlated each of these measures with Burt's constraint and efficiency as measures of structural diversity, finding only weak correlations and low R
2 values. Efficiency performs slightly better than constraint, however the strongest correlation was 0.56, corresponding to an R2 of 0.3163. Furthermore, the variance in this relationship is non-uniform and indicates that, aside from the poor correlation, other factors are likely important mediators to the relationship between efficiency and information diversity. We argue that this shows that, even in the best cases, neither constraint nor efficiency should be used as proxies for information diversity and make suggestions for more diligent treatment of information in structural holes and brokerage research. • Evaluates the assumption in structural holes theory that structural diversity is a good proxy for information diversity. • Uses data on collaborations among more than 1 million scientists from 25 research fields. • Constructs 13 network-based measures of information diversity. • Finds that structural diversity is not a good proxy for information diversity. • Researchers should use context-appropriate measures of information diversity rather than structural diversity as a proxy.
