The article describes an instance of Green Rosella Platycercus caledonicus nesting in a wall cavity and artificial structures instead of hollows of living or dead eucalypt trees, which are its primary nesting place. The Green Rosellas have used the Port Arthur Prison Heritage Site, Tasmania in 2009 and around 50 years earlier, in 1958. It is suggested that threatened King Island Green Rosellas Platycercus caledonicus brownii nested in abandoned buildings due to short supply of nest-hollows. Adequate data on the use of artificial hollows are reportedly lacking for most Australian hollow-nesting species.

The article discusses a study about the Australian Ringneck Barnardius zonarius variations and possible hybrid with Pale-headed Rosella Platycercus adscitus in southwestern Queensland. The Mallee Ringneck Barnardius zonarius barnardi was the prominent subspecies observed by the researchers. According to observations by the researchers, the Cloncurry Ringneck always paired with one Malle Ringneck as they came to drink at a bore overflow while the Pale-headed Rosella hybrid was always in the company of two Mallee Ringnecks. They discovered that Ringnecks came to drink after sunrise, the middle of the day and late in the day before sunset. The body color markings of the Pale-headed Rosella hybrid was yellow with slight dark mottling visible on the neck above the shoulder.

A correction to the article "Clinical Beak and Feather Disease Virus Infection in Wild Juvenile Eastern Rosellas of New Zealand: Biosecurity Implications for Wildlife Care Facilities" that was published in a 2014 issue is presented.
